Jack dropped her off back at their apartment complex. She made a big show of slamming the door of his car and running into her apartment, leaving Daniel and Jennifer very confused. Jack glanced towards the plumber's van before heading into his apartment. Daniel was calling before Jack closed the door.

"Jack?"

"She doesn't believe me."

"What?"

"She doesn't believe she's Sam Carter."

"Jack, that doesn't make…"

Jack cut him off. "I'm not giving up Daniel, but I need to find a new approach." Jack sighed. "Just keep an eye on her while I think about what to do." Jack hung up, making sure Daniel didn't have a chance to say anything to give away their hand.

Daniel and Jennifer watched as Sam reemerged from the apartment complex and got in her car. Just as Daniel was about to call Jack, he opened the back door of the van and joined them.

"Is the trace working?"

Daniel nods. "It was clever of Carolyn to add it to the antidote. Too bad the antidote didn't work."

"It did."

"But I thought you said she didn't believe she was…"

"We were being monitored." Jack looked at the computer screen showing Sam's movement. "She's headed back to Modern Aerodynamics."

"Wait, you're sending her back in there?"

"I'm not sending her anywhere. This was her idea."

"But Jack."

"She knows what she's doing. Now how about we head that way in case she needs a little back up."

Jennifer stayed behind in the van while Jack and Daniel each took a car. Jennifer kept tabs on Sam's location and relayed it to both men as they made their way to Modern Aerodynamics. Sam called Jack from the parking lot and put the phone in her jacket pocket so he could listen in. She flashed her badge and made her way to her office where she sat down and logged in to the computer. She considered erasing the files but realized there would be backups and it would take too long. Sam went to a website that she would normally avoid and opened as many tabs as she could until she hit paydirt as a virus scrambled the data on her computer and the company network.

"Laura, I thought you were taking today off."

Sam looked up and saw her boss, Dr. Williams. "Ahh, yes, sir. I wasn't feeling well this morning when I called out, but I am doing better now."

"That's good to hear." He stepped all the way into her office. "What are you working on?"

"Nothing important." She smiled up at him. "Is there something I can help you with?"

"Actually, I'm here to help you." Two security guards stepped into the doorway behind her. "We've been made aware that you are being followed and harassed." He laid a manila folder on her desk. When she flipped it open there were pictures of her and Jack running and having dinner.

"You've been watching me."

"Mr. Greyson takes company and employee safety very seriously." Dr. Williams waved the guards forward. "Please come with us."

"Where exactly do you want me to go?"

"We'll answer all of your questions but for now you need to come with me."

"Why? Is this guy being serious when he tells me I'm not who I think I am?" Sam waved the folder of pictures in the air. "Because he says I'm someone named Carter and you've erased my memories. Which doesn't, by the way, make a lick of sense."

Dr. Williams sighed. "You aren't the first of our scientists this man has accosted. That's why we keep an eye on everyone." He stepped to the side and stretched his arm out towards the door. "Come with us and I will tell you everything we know about this man."

Sam clicked the power off button as she slowly stood. "Where are we going?"

"To Mr. Greyson's office. The head of security will meet us there."

Dr. Williams led the way and the security guards followed behind her. They took the elevator up three levels. Jack and Daniel were pulling into the parking lot as she crossed the threshold of Mr. Greyson's office. The expanse of windows behind him was a clear sign that this was the office of someone high on the food chain, in this case the owner and CEO of Modern Aerodynamics.

As his chair spun Sam felt the familiar tingle that meant naquada was nearby. It didn't take an astrophysicist to figure out her boss wasn't totally human. He leaned back in his leather chair and looked at the two guards. "You gentlemen can wait outside. I doubt Dr. Cauthen is planning to give us any trouble. Are you?"

The voice sent a shiver down Sam's spine. She was facing her captor. The guards walked out and closed the door behind them as Sam tried to calm her thumping heart. He stood, walked around his desk, and leaned back against the edge. "You and General O'Neill disappeared for several hours today."

"He took me to the zoo." She knew it was best to stick as close to reality as possible, in case they had been able to follow them.

"I see. Did he ply you with all sorts of wild tales?"

"He said I'm a Colonel in the United States Air Force but I don't remember it."

"That's not the wildest tale he's told. He keeps trying to lure our best and brightest into giving company secrets to the Air Force. He always says he's testing you guys to be sure you won't divulge secrets to foreign entities but I'm pretty sure he's hoping to get information he can use to advance his own career."

"I didn't tell him anything."

"Really? Because he can be very persistent and charming." He pushed off the desk and walked closer to her. Her skin crawled thanks to the presence of naquada in his system. "Are you feeling ok?"

"Not…not really." She locked eyes with him. "I don't remember meeting you before, but your voice sounds very familiar, like something I've heard in my worst nightmares." She hoped Jack knew what she meant.

As Mr. Greyson reached out towards her face, she was enveloped in blue along with Mr. Greyson and Dr. Williams. They appeared in the brig of the Hammond with multiple guns pointed towards them.

"How dare you!" Mr. Greyson spun and looked at the weapons pointed towards him as the blood drained from Dr. Williams' face.
