Chapter 7
We get home from the diner and the guys head to the living room, Letty heads to the kitchen and I head out back to the deck. I sit on the back steps and just look up at the sky and smile. After a few minutes Letty walks out and sits beside me. She lays her head on my shoulder and grabs my hand. I kiss the top of her head. "You know, I never thought I would have a mom that loves me." she tells me. "I do love you kid. I never thought I'd have anyone that would love me. But I do. I have an amazing daughter. I have not one but two men that love me." I tell her and feel a tear fall. "I never thought I'd find a place to call home but I do. I have so many things I never thought I'd have and I'm so fucking happy and...shit." I say laughing. "We're glad you feel that way mi amor." Angel says and he walks out with Coco behind him. "We all love you." Coco tells me. "I know you all do. I love you all. I could never thank you enough for everything you three have done for me. All that you guys have given me." I tell them. "Good because we have something we want to talk to you about." Angel says. "What?" I ask and I start to get worried. "Well, we decided that we want you to marry us." Coco says and I look at him confused. He pulls out a bag and it has 3 rings in it. "All we need is a witness and vows amor." Coco says. I look at Letty and she whispers "I'm the witness." and I start laughing. "Do you take us to be your husbands?" Angel asks and I say "I do. Do you take me to be your wife?" I ask and Coco says "I do." I look at Angel and he says "I do." Angel puts the wedding band on my finger and Coco puts the engagement ring on and then I put the rings on their fingers. "I vow to be the wife you need, the mother that Letty needs and the mother that our future children need. I vow to be faithful, loyal and devoted to all three of you." I say and Coco says "I vow to be the husband you need, father that Letty needs and the father our future children need. I vow to be faithful, loyal, and devoted to all three of you." I look at Angel and he says "I vow to be the husband you need, the friend that Letty needs and the father that our future children need. I vow to be faithful, loyal and devoted to all three of you." Coco leans forward and kisses me softly before Angel leans forward and kisses me softly and we all hug Letty. "May not be legal but it's enough for me." I tell them and they all smile.
That night, we got to bed and they make love to me nice and slow and once we all reach our release, we doze off in each other's arms. Waking up the next morning, I slip out of bed and into the kitchen to start breakfast. I move to the bedroom and wake Letty up once it's done and head to the bedroom. I get the guys up and tell them that breakfast is done and we all head into the kitchen to eat. Sitting around the table, we talk about what all we have to do that day. "There's a party tonight. You feel like going?" Coco asks. "Sure." I say and Angel says "We were talking about something after you fell asleep last night." I look at him confused and Coco says "We can handle the bills, why don't you quit and relax for a while." I look at my plate and Angel says "You've been on the run fo so long and had to rely on yourself and been having to look out for yourself for so long, why don't you relax and let us handle shit for a while. You can hang with Letty and just breathe." I look at him and then Coco and when I look at Letty she says "It will be good to be able to go do things while they work." I nod and say "I'll go by and get my things so I can let my boss know I'm quitting." I tell them and Letty says "I'll go with you and we can get lunch." and I nod.
A little later, the guys are at work and Letty and I head to my office. I walk to my boss' office, Letty behind me and knock on my boss' door. "Come in." she says. We walk in and I say "I need to talk to you." She looks at me and then Letty and asks "Who's this?" I smile and say "This is my daughter Letty. Letty, this is my boss Jonie." I tell her and they nod their hellos. "What do you need to talk about?" she asks. "I know I haven't been here long but I'm resigning." I tell her. "I hate to hear that. Is everything okay?" she asks. "Yeah. Everything's perfect. Just getting the chance to stay home and spend some time with my daughter. I'm going to pack up my office if that's okay." I tell her. She shakes my hand and says "Well, it was great working with you." I smile and say "It was great working with you too."
I go to my office and start clearing out my desk and there's a knock on the door. I look up and see Nico. "Are you leaving?" he asks. "Yeah. I resigned this morning." I tell him but don't look up at him. "Letty, come clear these doors out for me." I tell her and move closer to where Nico is standing. "Why are you leaving?" he asks. "Because I want to. Now, if you don't mind, we're about to leave." I tell him and Letty hands me the box and we head out the door. Nico follows me out. "You want to get dinner one night?" he asks and I look at him like he's stupid. "Nope. Nico, I'm married and not interested. But you have a good day." I say before getting into the car and heading out of the parking lot. "You going to tell the guys about him?" she asks. "Yeah. I'll tell them tonight but I don't think he'll be an issue." I tell her and she nods.
That night, after Letty heads to bed, I am laying in bed with the guys and say "I need to tell you guys something." I tell them and they look at me concerned. "When I went in to resign today, one of my co-workers followed me and Letty out and asked me out to dinner. I told him no and that I am married. I don't think he'll be a problem but I wanted you to know just in case." I tell them. "You sure he won't be a problem?" Coco asks. "I don't think so. I mean, he would come by my office all the time and just say hi or ask if I wanted to get lunch and shit but that was it. I just don't want there to be any secrets." I tell them. They both kiss me and I don't think Nico will be a problem but I know they will be keeping me close just in case.
