Mustang looked at the man in front. He looked completely different then how they first met. The most noticeable thing about him that was different was... his eyes. They had a very mean and killer look to them.
Nine was no one to mess with especially now that he was at full power and seemed to have taken a couple of different abilities from other prisoners in the Raft.
They tried their hardest to find a way to dampen his powers, but it was almost unsuccessful. Thanks to the bodysuit he had on now, he was at least at half power maybe a little more.
Mustang glared at his captor. "What do you want, Nine?!"
In suppressed anger and glowing red eyes, the former prisoner answered. "Really? You're going to ask me that? Is it not obvious to you? I helped you with your research, and this is how you repay me!"
"You lied to S.H.I.E.L.D! You lied to me! And then you became a danger! You became this!" Mustang noticed the tightening grip Nine had on his collar "Just... calm down-"
"Calm down?! Calm down! Don't you dare tell me to calm down. I just woke up years in the future locked up at the bottom of the ocean. Do you not realize how much of my life you took away from me?"
Mustang gritted his teeth, not his finest moments, however he did what had to be done
"You took years off my life. I'm going to take years off of your's!"
Mustang felt a sudden pain go through him, blood flooded in his mouth as a sudden cough made him spit out a glob of it. Mustang looked down to see Nine's index finger smoking and him having a small hole through his abdomen.
A sudden 'whoosh' sound came from behind him making Mustang look behind him to see a giant yellow barrier form. Nine threw him at the yellow barrier and with another 'whoosh' sound, Mustang then felt a sudden wind push him forward as another yellow barrier formed in front of Mustang and then another wind pushed him right in between the 2 barriers.
Nine's gray eyes then lit up blue and Mustang suddenly felt both barriers send a load of wind and pressure against Mustang's back and front. He could feel his bones cracking and breaking as he roared out in pain.
Nine was so absorbed in the torture that he didn't notice an giant fireball flying to his chest, dispersing the barriers and wind. And making the lightning and clouds in the sky disappear.
Before Mustang could impact the water, a black rope-like substance wrapped around his waist. "Deku?"
He started pulling away from the battlefield. "Sorry. No time for small talk. We have to move." Behind them, the entire Raft sank into the water all while citizens stared at the scene in shock.
Nine recovered and steadied himself. The man that dared to defy him flew in front of him, fire propelling him in the air, he didn't recognize him. But then again, sleeping for 10 years, you wouldn't recognize most people.
Natsu examined him carefully. "Your power is impressive... for an old man."
'How much has the world changed since I was gone? No matter.' The man scoffed at him. "I am no mere man, boy. Not anymore. Now, I am a God."
It was Natsu's turn to huff. "Please pal, don't get too full of yourself. I am Natsu Dragneel. And you're not going to attack Earthland anymore."
Nine growled. "Do you think you have authority over me? I answer to no one! I can do anything!"
"I don't think so, tuff guy." Natsu charged with a fire covered fist. "Bring it!"
With Edward
Edward walked around the area looking for his communicator. He found it in pretty ruff condition however all that matter was that it worked.
"Call in, armory. New Arm and Leg!" Edward states, at Elric Industries a new silver arm and leg took flight towards Edward's direction.
"Detach Enabled." The A.I said as Edward's broken arm and leg detached from his body, making the blond almost fall on his face from the loss of balance.
Edward sat on the ground "Update on the Helicarrier situation?"
"Sir, it appears that the Helicarrier has sunk and superhumans are now battling it out right above the city as lightning-" Before the A.I could continue Edward gave out a long sigh
"I should have stayed in bed today."
On the docks
Mustang leaped onto the docks as Izuku jumped down and looked to their left to see Touma, holding his hurt rib looking at the battle in amazement.
Izuku looked over and watched as well as Natsu pushed through the added resistance to fight. "This is not good at all."
Touma crossed his arms and turned to the Director. "Anything you'd like to tell us, Mustang?"
Mustang waved off the question. "Not really." He put a hand to his comms. "S.H.I.E.L.D. command, this is Director Roy Mustang. I am declaring an omega-level emergency. Every S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, every Devilbuster unit, the US Armed Forces, they are all now under my direct control."
Izuku and Touma exchanged looks. "Wow, Roy's actually worried..." Touma commented, making him a bit nervous for the outcome of this battle. Everyone had heard about the famous Salamander, and everyone knew about his incident a few days ago where he defeated 4 devil fruit users. However, something that made the great Roy Mustang worried, it should make anyone with a brain worried.
Izuku sighed. "Who is he?"
Mustang sighed in annoyance. "Nine."
That caught Izuku off guard. "Wait, you mean the physicist? No one's heard from him in years. The last thing I heard about him was his new contract with... S.H.I.E.L.D."
Touma stepped forward. "Seriously. This is exactly what I was concerned about. Mustang, what the hell were you guys working on?"
Mustang turned away. "That's classified."
Touma looked at the man dryly before gesturing to the conflict. "Really? It looks to me it just became unclassified."
Back with Natsu
Fire danced in Natsu's 2 fists as he launched himself forward using his fire on his feet as a booster towards Nine who had lightning circling around his finger tips.
"Fire Dragon Wing Attack!" Natsu says, launching whips of fire at the man. Nine launched the lightning on his fingers which collided with the fire and countered the attack causing a massive explosion of fire and lightning to erupt in front of the 2
"Pathetic." Nine says, in a calm tone
Natsu grits his teeth in anger as the fire on his feet burns brighter. Natsu roared out a battle cry as he went for another attack. Nine stayed completely still watching the man come at him.
In an instant fire and lightning collided once more.
At the Nevada Desert
In the same diner that held a grudge match between the 2 devil fruit users, Luffy and Smoker, had a bunch of family and friends enjoying their meals and having a great time with each other... until a giant rumble came from outside only to discover Luffy, holding onto Sabo in his arms, was standing outside the diner catching his breath. Everyone stood wide eyed at the man.
Luffy soon walked into the diner, kicking open the door off its hinges. And in a split second everyone jumped out of there seat and got the hell out of there.
Luffy set Sabo down on the counter while looking at the remaining waitress "He needs medical attention, NOW!" Luffy yelled and the waitress nodded.
Luffy looked at Sabo and noticed his face had a huge gash on it that covered a chunk of his face.
Luffy gritted his teeth 'Whoever started that breakout will pay!' A sudden load bang caught Luffy's attention as he looked at an old T.V screen and saw a news woman explaining the situation on the Helicarrier and how Salamander and a man with white hair are now battling each other.
Back With Natsu
Natsu brought his fist back and clenched it tight while fire encased his fist.
"Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" Natsu roars out, Nine brought a protective yellow barrier in front of him blocking the attack and with a sudden gust of wind, Natsu's fire not only dispersed, but the wind also blew him back.
Nine held out his fingers as bright purple flashes of light shot out of each finger tip. Natsu crossed his arms in an 'X' formation and was able to block the oncoming attacks.
Natsu growled as fire encased his whole body. A mighty roar was heard from inside the fireball where the man stood. Nine was caught somewhat off guard by the sudden power shown off but still didn't think too much of it.
"Fire Dragon Sword Horn!" Natsu says, as he propelled forward at tremendous speed. Nine tried to shoot him with the purple bullets that came out of his fingertips: however, they didn't seem to even affect him anymore.
Nine gritted his teeth underneath his mask. 'Fine, I'll stop holding back!' Nine said as his eyes started to glow a bright purple
Suddenly, Natsu was knocked out of his attack by a gigantic sea snake-like creature that came from Nine's back. The creature started to clench it's jaw as a cracking and breaking noise was heard from Natsu, probably his ribs breaking from the jaw of the beast.
Back on the Dock
Izuku gestured to the abnormal scientist. "How is he even doing all of this?"
"I don't know exactly, maybe he has a quirk?" Touma asked
Izuku looked at his hand 'I thought only me and-' a sudden dark face rang through his head 'him... had multiple quirks...' Izuku looked back at the battle "Well, we can't just stand here and watch. We have to do something."
Mustang slammed his fist against a steel container. "Damn it. Almost all our Heavy reinforcements are being held up out west. The Devil Fruit user escapees aren't letting up. I knew they shouldn't have given all of the Devil Busters to Akainu."
"You coming, Touma?" Izuku asked, looking back at his friend
"Is that even a question?" Touma then suddenly doubled over in pain as his hand was morphing into his unnatural arm, Holding his rib he coughed out some blood 'Damn.' Izuku looked at his friend with a worried look
"Don't worry I'll go on ahead."
Back in the battle
The snake head propelled itself upwards clenching it's jaw tighter and then threw itself down towards the ground crashing into the ocean, making a giant splash that went high into the air. The snake head brought itself back up however, had left the Dragon Slayer down at the bottom of the ocean. It then repeated it's attack by propelling itself down right where it left the Dragon Slayer and crashed down on the same spot. It then repeated the attack over and over.
"My revenge on Mustang will not be denied!" A sudden sting to his side caught his attention. "What? More pests?!"
Izuku hovered next to the man, having his thumb pressing against his middle finger as if he was flicking something at him. He glared at the escapee. "Nine, stop what you're doing now before someone gets hurt."
He chuckled at this. "Are you joking? With the power at my disposal, I- AHH!" He immediately covered his eye because of a sharp pain of pressure and wind that was launched at it. "You bastard!"
Repeating the action Izuku launched several blasts of wind at the man, knocking him back, until Nine put up a barrier in front of him blocking the attacks.
Unknown to the 2, Edward had just arrived on the scene to see Izuku trying to hit the man with his Air force attack. Edward smirked, thinking he should give him a hand, as he outstretched his hand a blast of energy came out of his palm which blasted the man away and into the water.
While Edward was falling towards the water he clapped his hands together and froze the water right when he was touching it, making a platform for him to stange on.
"Hey, Deku. I knew we traveled in some of the same social circles, but I didn't know you came to parties like this." Izuku looked back at the billair and smiled as he landed on the huge frozen platform
"Nice to see you too Edward." grunted the hero.
Ed smiled "So what's up with the old guy?"
Izuku rolled his eyes. "He's some crazy physicist Mustang hired. Anyways, Ed, am I glad to see you. I wasn't sure if you were on the West Coast or... wait... oh, no. Salamander!"
Ed crossed his arms. "Who?"
"Salamander. You know, the dude with the pink hair, scaly scarf? He's way below the ocean by now."
Pillars of water erupted as Nine rose to the surface. As soon as the two met gazes, he spawned 2 large sea snake-like creatures from his back
With a wave of Nine's hands, clouds started to appear above, dark and loud clouds that didn't look happy. Thunder was heard and lightning was seen all around the sky as rain poured down.
Ed's scanner nearly broke apart from measuring the man's power.
"Oh boy. This guy is serious trouble." Fullmetal warned his comrade, as both got ready to fight
He sneered as he flicked his wrist causing a barrier to be placed underneath Edward and sent him hurtling into the sky. And with another flick and barrier sent Edward flying into a building close to the shore. Leaving Izuku to hover up and try to keep the villain focused on him
Meanwhile, back at the docks, Touma was watching as the battle took place. When he saw how easily Nine took out Natsu and Edward he knew that it was time to step in.
"What are Nine's weaknesses?" the man with Imagine Breaker asked Mustang.
"We've studied him for years, and as far as we could tell, he doesn't have any." The Director of S.H.I.E.L.D responded as he realized what the hero had planned. "What do you think you're going to do, Touma? Talk him down?" he asked sarcastically.
"No, it's too late for that." Lemon-yellow and sky-blue tendrils surrounded Touma, transforming him into a giant dragon. Mustang wouldn't admit it, however he was quite impressed Touma was able to still fight with the injuries he received.
Mustang watched, with a neutral expression, as the dragon took flight and flew right towards Nine
Izuku was shooting wing blasts at the villain in every place he could find, doing everything to annoy him. It worked however as Nine once again used the snake head and bit down on Izuku's ribs. But just before he could crush Izuku between the snake's teeth, a claw punched Nine's face and sent him launching into the water.
Touma, in his dragon shell, grabbed Izuku with his left claw, Izuku looked at Touma and sighed in relief.
"Touma? Is that you?" Izuku asked
"Grrr," Touma, in his dragon shell could only growl or roar with a slight nod.
"Alright, let's take this guy down." Izuku says, trying to get ready for round 3- 4- he couldn't keep track anymore. Suddenly Nine shot 2 of the snake heads and bit down on both Touma and Izuku. Nine launched Izuku back into the shipping containers at the docks and then launched Touma into a building.
At this moment Nine was furious, he could have ended Mustang already if the heroes hadn't interfered. And now there was no sign of his target. He knew Mustang was still somewhere in the city, so what better way to kill him and show the world the power he wielded, two birds one stone.
With a wave of his hand the city began to shake. As lightning crashed down on the city with buildings breaking down and crashing to the ground.
When the villain heard a yell come from behind him, he turned to see Natsu coming right at him, he had finally gotten back up from the attack.
Dragon Slayer raised his fist and slammed it into Nine's barrier. The strength and power behind the attack was enough to break apart the barrier and send the villain flying into the side of the docks.
Natsu smiled at himself for hitting the villain however frowned when he saw a building about to collapse right on a bunch of people. Natsu quickly flew over to the building and used his fire as a booster to put the building back in place.
Nine however recovered from the attack and started shooting lightning at the buildings next to him.
Natsu then looked back at the villain and gritted his teeth. "Fire Dragon Roar!" Natsu yelled out as a large torrent of flames bursted out of his mouth and collided into Nine knocking him into the ground.
When Natsu looked he saw that the villain wasn't down, but rather was glaring at the hero with glowing eyes full of hate with a pale jacket ripped and burned. Nine ripped off his pale jacket and pale pants and revealed his full body suit that was black and purple.
"I recommend you stay down, old man." Natsu snarled with smoke flowing out of his mouth
Nine rose again from the ground again. "You think you can stop me." He said to the hero. "I've beaten you before. I can do it again." He then tried to attack the hero, but once again he was interrupted as a giant beam of energy struck him and sent him back into the crater.
The beam came from Fulmetal's blaster on his hand as he rejoined the other hero in surrounding the villain. "You really should listen to him," he warned.
Nine was about to rise again, when a giant lemon-yellow and sky-blue claw stomped down behind him. He turned to see Touma, in his Dragon Shell staring down at him. Touma then morphed back into his normal form and looked at the man
"This is your last chance, Nine. Give up or were going to shatter that pathetic illusion of yours," The man said trying to reason with the villain
"Just give up before we have to escalate this further." Izuku says, suddenly appearing to Nine's right
Nine stared at the four heroes that now surrounded him, his mind already full of rage and annoyance, slipping into madness each passing second. "No, no, the power I wield, I- you are nothing compared to me." He roared, releasing 4 giant snake heads out from his back. All 4 heroes were caught off guard and were hit back and pinned them to the building surrounding them. Touma would have hit the snake head before it could crush him further however his arm was in the worst position, since it was being crushed beneath one of the teeth, he would have had to dislocate his hand to even get close to the head.
Nine then rose above them, eyes glowing with power as he raised his arms to the world.
"I'm stronger than all of you. I have all the power in the world! I... AM... A KING-"
Just as he said that, something landed on top of the building behind him. "Sorry buddy-" The villain turned and his eyes widened in surprise.
Luffy gave an ear to ear grin at the villain that would scare anyone looking at him.
"But... I'm the only King around here!" Luffy growled at Nine. Before the villain could respond, the rubber man launched himself at the Nine and tackled him all the way to an abandoned shipping yard. The impact sending cargo crates flying in all directions.
The attack caused the trapped heroes to be freed from the Snake heads grip. The heroes took off after the villain and the rubber man.
The two powerhouses were locked in combat. Luffy was using his vast strength in an attempt to crush Nine under his fists, but Nine was barely able to hold back his onslaught, the strength this creature possessed was incredible. Luffy launched back his fist and sent it hurtling towards Nine who was barely able to move out of the way but was still affected by the force of the attack, causing Nine to slide back a couple of meters, the villain gritted his teeth as he put all of his strength into holding the rubber man back with another barrier.
Luffy shot both of his arms and got ready to send his attack at the man. Nine was getting ready to shoot the wind blast and propel him backwards right when he hit the barrier, however right when Luffy's attack shot forward and smashed into the barrier, it broke and Luffy's fist smashed right into Nine's abdomen.
Nine's mask started to develop a bunch of cracks until it fully broke apart as Nine coughed up a giant glob of blood.
Nine tried to use his powers to protect himself, but the rubber man broke through his barriers as if they were nothing, like it wasn't even there. Luffy knocked the villain away once again.
Touma, Izuku, Edward and Natsu arrived, watching Luffy pummel Nine into the ground with astonishment. Natsu was more impressed then shocked however, Luffy's strength and speed were certainly no joke.
Eventually Nine had enough of being a monster's punching bag, and spawned a massive barrier on top of Luffy that sent a ton of pressure on the rubber man, literally making Luffy as flat as a pancake on the ground causing the ground around him to sink.
Seeing this, the other heroes moved in. "Take him down." Fullmetal yelled to the others, as they charged towards the villain.
However that proved to be the wrong move, as with a wave of his hand, the barrier became bigger and the pressure brought all the heroes to the ground. Lightning then circled around in the air. Nine stood with no emotion in either eye as he watched heroes struggle to get up.
Nine glared as a memory flashed through his head
10 years ago, S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier
Mustang sat at his desk, giving the man in front of him a stern look. "Are you familiar with the term Quirk?"
The Doctor nodded slowly. When the government reached out to him, he didn't expect it to be this division. "Quirk users? You mean the super powered people?"
"Indeed." Mustang nodded "We want to develop a cure for this disease, before it breaks out and becomes a cancer that we are not able to control. So what do you say?"
Nine paused for a moment, taking it all in before smirking. "When do I start?"
A few months later
"Nine!" Mustang shouted out, breaking into Nine's office to find him in a giant test tube with liquids tubes going into the giant one Nine was in. "You were never helping us cure Quirks, you were planning on taking them away and giving them to yourself! Not to mention the fact you are a quirk user yourself!" Mustang yelled out as his index and thumb pressed against each other
"Too bad you figured that out too late, huh..." Nine said in a calm tone while pushing a button while the machine started to light up
Mustang raised his hands and got ready to snap his fingers "Not late enough..." Mustang said as he snapped his fingers and all anyone heard next was a giant explosion.
A few minutes after the breakout
Nine woke up in his cell, looking around. "Mustang?" Nine looked and caught a glimpse at his attire and his long, white hair. "Where am I? How long have I been here?"
"Longer than me..." Nine's attention turned to the man beside him, with long blond hair and a giant golden spear in-hand. "And I've been here- imprisoned here," He corrected "For 6 years."
Nine's eyes went wide, but then they shined as lightning danced along his fingers "Mustang!"
Present
Nine gritted his teeth at the memory until he shook off that feeling of rage and laughed at the heroes
"Look at you fools." Nine taunted as his torso half body suit burst apart from the energy Nine was giving off, he looked down at the fallen heroes, "I possess ultimate power. I am power!" He yelled, eyes glowing red and madness. Nine rose into the air as lightning crashed into the ground, chunks of rock and other debris flown into the air
The heroes tried to move, but the amount of pressure being forced upon them, kept them pined.
"Can't move." Edward confessed, "Can you?"
"Trying." Came Natsu's response as he was somewhat able to get to his feet. "What about the others?"
No one else responded, as the weight was so great they couldn't even talk.
In his crater Luffy began to push against the force acting on him. At first he couldn't move like the others, but as he got more frustrated, he began to rise, his arms and leg muscles bulged as he pushed himself up.
Nine, seeing this, increased the pressure on the monster, forcing him back into the ground. This however only annoyed Luffy as in a few short seconds he was back to his feet. Nine was shocked at first, but then he growled in anger as he increased the pressure even further. The craters size increased as everything was crushed by the massive amounts of force being applied. All the crates and debris were flattened by the amount of power. Luffy however only got more enraged, as he placed his hands on the ground, which cracked under the force, and stood again, his eyes burning with rage for the one who would try to hold him down.
Nine was beyond shocked. He was applying enough force to crush an entire city, and this creature- no not just the creature. He looked to his left to see the other fallen heroes start to fight past the pressure and start to stand. Izuku had to use his One For All Full cowling at 40% just to move while Touma had to keep his hand on himself to consistently negate the force. These people fighting against it like it was nothing.
"Nothing is this powerful." He said in bewilderment, "How- how are you all so strong!?"
Nine quickly got over his shock, as he sent a bunch of lightning bolts hurtling towards all 5 heroes. Pure purple energy came from his back made something closely resembling butterfly wings as the lightning rained down on the heroes. Luffy took the attack head on however, Touma was able to raise his right hand in time to negate the lightning bolt before it hit any of them.
Natsu, Edward and Izuku breathed a sigh in relief not wanting to take that attack head on.
Then in a blink of an eye, before Touma could react, a purple beam of light struck Touma's right shoulder and ripped it apart. Touma's right arm then flew through the air for a couple of minutes before it slowly fell to the ground, shocking 3 heroes next to him.
"GAAAAHHHH!" Touma screamed out in pain clutching his, or at least what once was, his right arm. Touma was then brought to the ground once again by the pressure of the barrier.
As they looked to Nine they saw one of his fingertips smoking. He then brought his hand back up and got ready to send another bolt of lightning at them and finish them like he did Luffy. However, his hand stopped when he heard something in the crater moving again.
He stood wide eyed shocked to see Luffy perfectly fine after taking that attack.
"Lightning doesn't affect me, I'm made of rubber!" He calls out to which Nine scoffs
"Is that so?" Suddenly Nine spawned 12 to 16 snakeheads from his back which collide into Luffy making the crater even bigger
Luffy soon became overwhelmed quickly as he was sent back to the bottom of the carter.
Edward was just able to clap his hands together as Natsu was able to summon up enough magic for another blow.
Edward brought his hands on the ground and shot a stone pillar right into Nine's gut which sent him back a bit. Hitting him allowed the barrier to disappear from lack of Nine's concentration giving Natsu the chance to shoot another 'Fire Dragon Roar!' at Nine which completely knocked Nine back and made the snakeheads disappear.
With a mighty leap Luffy burst from the pile of rocks he was under, scattering them all over the place, and headed straight toward the villain.
Suddenly, Luffy tackled Nine out of the sky, sending both of them colliding back into the ground.
As the dust settled, Luffy was once again attempting to smash Nine with his fists, but the villain was still holding strong.
"NO!" Nine shouts out, spawning a much bigger barrier then he did previously and shooting Luffy far into the air. He then sent 13 more snakeheads in the rubber man's direction.
Izuku saw this and decided he had to step in, now! With all the power he had he made his body go all the way to 50% power at full cowling making him go faster than the eye could track while large bursts of energy scattered around his being.
Luffy tried to think of a way to defeat this guy once and for all and found that going 'Third Gear' while taking a bunch of critical hits was the only way to go.
So he brought his thumb to his teeth and, like blowing up a balloon, his fist started to inflate into a giant's fists while covering it in haki.
In a zig-zag motion Izuku quickly jumped up to one of the snakeheads and started running on top of it, until he jumped off and kicked one and landed on another then jumped off that one and punched another. Then jumped off that one and did a somersault kick and destroyed another, and ended up in the air with that last attack free falling to the ground as Luffy, who seemed to fall faster then him because of the heavy fist behind him, caught up quickly to him.
Luffy stared at Izuku in shock "You- you're helping me?" Luffy asked
Izuku smirked "Yeah. Let's take him down!"
Now it was Luffy's turn to smirk as both heroes then dived towards Nine, Izuku kicked/punched all the remaining snakeheads.
"Gomu Gomu no... Elephant Gun!" Luffy says launching the giant fist at Nine, as Nine created a large barrier in front of himself. The fist collides with the barrier sending a shockwave throughout the area, launching things in the air like, shipping containers, dust and debris.
However that still wasn't enough to take him down, as Nine used his barrier to push Luffy off him and send him flying in the air. He was then suddenly caught off guard by a kick to the face out of nowhere and then a punch to the stomach.
He was able to just barely see Izuku was the one landing all these hits, he then put up another barrier however, he struggled to do so. He figured he must have been running out of power and growled at the heroes. Nine, all the strength he had left, forced the barrier to spawn in front of him.
"One For All: 100%... Detroit... SMASH!" Izuku roared out as he collided his fist with the barrier almost completely tearing it apart. Izuku clutched his arm at it being so sore but then suddenly felt his danger sense go off and jumped out of the way.
"Take this asswhole!" Nine heard Edward say as he looked back to see he had created a giant metal cannon from the shipping container and debris everywhere. He then launched a huge chunk of metal at the man who put up the same barrier he used to black Izuku's attack, however it didn't last long as it' almost instantly, broke apart and sent Nine flying backward
"This isn't possible!" Nine shouts out as 4 snakeheads shoot out from his back, however one is instantly torn apart by a white dragon's head with a long snake-like neck that leads all the way back to... Touma's right stup of an arm.
"Dragon Strike!" Touma shouted out, Nine saw that his right eye no longer had any white in it, it was just blood red, and terrifying. The dragon then shouted a mighty roar that made the snakeheads disappear on there. The dragon then went back into Touma's right stump and suddenly Touma's right arm regrew into Imagine Breaker.
'No' Nine thought "NOOOOO!" Nine brought his hands up. The heroes have been through his attacks to know what that meant and they got ready to either negate/take/dodge the lightning bolt however when Nine brought his hands down nothing came.
They all looked up to see all the lightning and fire in the area was being consumed by Natsu. Even as high in the air as he was, they could still see him eating the 2 elements while his stomach expanded. Soon his bloated stomach went back to normal as his pupils turned from normal to slits.
"Lightning-Flame Dragon Mode!" Natsu roared out as he looked down at Nine "Lightning-Flame Dragon Roar!" A large amount of lightning and a torrent of flames came flying out of Natsu's mouth as unleashing the biggest pile of flames and lightning anyone had ever seen. It struck Nine with thousands of volts of electricity and hundred degrees fire; Nine gave out a scream of pain.
When the fire and lightning subsided, Nine was left at the base of a large crater looking very weak, the combined attacks from the heroes had left his body battered, bruised and now covered in soot. The barely conscious villain looked up to see the 5 heroes standing together at the top of the crater, staring down at the defeated villain.
"Who's the King now?" Luffy taunted.
"You had a lot of power Nine, however, being locked up for years, doesn't give you the right to kill people." Touma spoke
"Agreed," Izuku added, as a final insult he fired one last air force blast at his forehead knocking him unconscious.
The day was won.
The moment was broken by Natsu. "Alright!" He exclaimed, with a huge grin, as he wrapped his arms around his new allies somehow managing to get all of them in his embrace. "Let's celebrate."
"Freeze." A familiar voice called out, the heroes looked to the other side of the crater, only to see Agent Havoc and an entire army of S.H.I.E.L.D agents, tanks and choppers, Coulson was holding a very large cannon and had it aimed at one particular individual.
"Step away from Straw Hat Luffy! He is a fugitive of S.H.I.E.L.D."
The individual in question got into a fighting stance.
However before either party could act. Edward suddenly stood in front of him, his arms stretched out, blocking the shot... to best of his abilities, even creating a small platform underneath himself, since he was way shorter than Luffy.
"You want him, you go through me. This guy saved us all. He's a hero."
The other heroes then stood with the rubber man, a determined look in all of their eyes.
"Stand down." Director Mustang commanded, the units complied. "We've got bigger problems than Straw Hat." He added. "74 supervillains are now on the loose all across the country. Maybe the world by now."
"How did this happen, Mustang?" Edward asked, with a bit of venom in his voice.
"I don't know, but we can find out together." The Director of SHIELD offered to the heroes. "Come work for me. As SHIELD agents, you can make a real difference."
Before anyone could respond, Touma gritted his teeth and spoke up.
"No, this is your fault, isn't it? S.H.I.E.L.D created Nine. Whatever you had Nine doing, it changed him. You kept it under wraps, and this happened."
The heroes then glared at the Director,
"Mustang's right." Edward suddenly stated. The other heroes then looked at him in shock.
"What?" Izuku said, equally as shocked, "You of all people are going to work for S.H.I.E.L.D?" He questioned the hero.
"No," Edward almost gave a flight chuckle to that response "He's right about us making a difference together." He began facing the heroes in front of him. "One-on-one we can each take down a villain or two, but 74 none of us can do it alone. Together we have a chance."
"Yeah, Elric, I agree with you however, I'm not really a hero." Touma speaks up
"I'm not one either, I just like to help wherever I can," Natsu spoke up
"I'm really just a vigilante." Izuku speaks up next rubbing the back of his head
"I don't want to be a hero." Luffy says
Edward nods at this "I don't want to be one either. And none of us fight for justice like heroes do. We fight for the people we care about, we fight so that people don't just die because of a nutjob with superpowers. However, how can we fight something this big on our own?" The 4 looked amongst themselves and found none of them could find an answer "What we did here, it can change things. The world needs us, but not as S.H.I.E.L.D agents. Not as heroes! As a team on our own, together we can avenge the wrongs caused by all these villains."
"We can be Avengers." Izuku finished.
"Huh, good name." Luffy agreed.
And on that day the Avengers were born
