Disclaimer: I Own Nothing!

Titan of the Earth

Nature has an odd way of reminding mankind who was really in charge. Through storms that can sweep away the land, earthquakes that can tear a city to the ground to floods that can swallow the lives of many, Mother Nature was one to be respected and not something to mess with. Nothing could topple nature itself. Nothing could control it. Nothing could ever hope to stand up to the power of the Earth itself and hope to survive.

Yet, they did.

A group of kids, demigods granted, had stood up to the Earth itself and defeated her. Halted and stopped the plans of revenge that the Earth deemed was necessary. They bested Mother Nature, lulled her into a sleep and burned her with a dragon made of bronze. Her ashes were scattered to never reform again. Of that the Olympians were promised.

She was never supposed to wake up again. Forever doomed to eternal sleep with no thought or emotion.

So, image her surprise when she found herself opening her eyes. The great form of Mother Nature was at first surprised. Stunned over the fact that she had gone from unthinking sleep to full form so suddenly.

She recovered and when she did, all she saw was red. Her emotions were reforging just as quickly, and she remembered it all. How that child of love had charmed her to fall back to sleep, how that dammed boy had forced his toy to burn her alive. How she was defeated by children!

She couldn't stand it!

The mere thought that those children could ever hope to stop her. The false imagination that those spoiled God's could dare dream that they could keep her from reforming. She would remind them real soon who the TRUE ruler of the world was.

She felt the Earth around her start to form and crack. A new body for her to take, a new form to take her revenge on. She decided to forgo the form that those Gods have chosen and instead decided to take another approach.

They wanted to treat her as a monster. Then she will show them just how monstrous the Earth can become.

The Earth cracked and broke as a massive sink hole opened within a large part of farmland. The many crops falling within the ever-growing hole. The hole continued to grow and expand outward consuming the farmhouse that toppled into the hole breaking and crumbling as it did so.

Then just as soon as it started it stopped. All was silent. The air itself had stilled as the hole was well over 1000 feat long as it had stretched to cover almost the entire farmland. Hours went by as a small group of farmers and friends had gathered to witness this strange event.

They would look up occasionally and see the tell tail sight of military jets fly over the aria in formation to scout the area. The blue jet in the lead with two red and single silver jet following on either side and behind. The silver jet would break formation and would hover over the hole. The gathered onlookers believed it was collecting data.

But then a sound was heard over the stilled landscape. The gathered onlookers felt it first, as a soft rumble but then it began to grow into an intense earthquake. The gathered farmers and friends all screamed and stumbled away trying to remain on their feet as the shaking only continued to grow in intensity. Large columns of smoke and dirt could be seen billowing out of the crater as flashes of light could be seen within the large plume of dirt and smoke as lightning danced within the large cloud due to the dust particles.

The silver jet had quickly maneuvered around the sudden eruption as it flew away from the crater along with the other jets circling around the billowing smoke to get a better view on what is happening.

The billowing smoke grew darker, and the ground started to crack and split further as something started to stir. The shadow of something very large started to rise within the smoke and out from the scar of the Earth.

Once the dust and smoke faded into the wind the form of the large creature could be seen. It was monstrous. Standing well over the size of a mountain, the beast was a monster size. Yet it was the form of the creature that caused the loudest of the screams of terror. Its body was large and covered in an earthly brown fur with clumps of dirt and dust falling from its massive form. The tips of the fur at the end were a dull green that led to the arms and legs of the beast as crawled out of the scar.

Its front and back legs were thick and covered by the same-colored fur with green tips, it did not hide the raw muscles that resided within the beast's strong legs. Its hooves resembled that of a bull as it stomped its hooves into the dirt causing the Earth to shake. On the back of the beast were many large trees that resembled spikes all with a deep shade of green.

The monstrous head was even more hideous. Instead of the brown fur that covered the rest of its body, the head was instead covered in dull green scales with yellow and black stripes around the neck. The face of the beast was like looking at a mix of many animals.

It had the snout of a wild pig, the large black compound eyes of a honeybee with twin antenna sticking out between its large eyes, and twin horns on either side of its head much like a bull. Its mouth stuck out more as it opened showing rows of razor-sharp teeth and a slithering forked tongue that flicked out to taste the air.

The beast reared its large head back and let out a loud piercing roar that shook the land and caused many to cover their ears in pain. The beast lowered its head and its giant compound eyes stared right at the gathered humans below it and its forked tongue flicked out once more as the beast's mouth curved into an inhuman cruel smile.

Mother Gaea had awakened, and she was ready to rampage on those that had dared wronged her.

Gaia had to allow herself a moment to observe the small worms below her. Humans. That is what these small inconsiderate beings were called. Creations of the Gods themselves. Their greatest creation and their most precious.

It is then that Mother Earth had an epiphany. For these small nothings were so special to those Gods and those demigods are responsible because of these creatures. She decided then and there. To get back at the Gods and let them know that she has returned stronger then ever.

Was to destroy their most precious creation. To destroy the parasites that dared harm the planet. Oh, she knows what these humans have done to her. They had poisoned her, built on top of her, used her for their own selfish desires. She had watched in rage as the very air was becoming hard to breath and the mighty oceans became acidic and deadly for life.

She has had enough. Thus, she will destroy the God's greatest creation and rid the world of this plague. For she was Mother Earth, and they will soon learn that her word is law.

She leaned down her new mouth opened wide as she let out another roar of anger and rage as the sounds of their screams rang in her ears like the song from her lost love. Pleasant and satisfying.

Her meal was near and as the poor humans tried to run, she was too large, and they were too slow. She snapped quickly like a viper about to swallow these pathetic creatures and end their life.

Only for her head to real back as she was stuck by something hot and sharp. She roared in pain as her head let out sparks of fire and dirt that rained down from her head. Yet the blows of fire did not stop. They continued and she was forced to take a step back and away from the humans. She craned her head up to see who dared attack her and saw four small flying machines firing red beams of light at her that burned her skin and scales making her hiss out in annoyance.

If she was remembering right, these man-made flying machines were jets. Humans had used these for their own little wars and to travel the skies. They also damage the planet with their burned fuel and exhaust. These needed to be destroyed on principle.

The jets flew past her and were spinning back to deliver another barrage, but she was ready. With a loud roar she shook her body and the large trees on her back started to release a dark green powder that rose into the sky right in front of the incoming jets.

The jets flew into the green power and soon she watched with glee as they started to spark and loose altitude. Her roar of victory was shot lived as she felt another blast to her side and turned her eyes to a silver plane that had avoided her pollen.

Gaea roared in anger and rage as she waited for the right moment, watching the silver plane with her compound eyes. When it grew closer and closer, she stuck. Like a viper snapping at the jet tearing out a wing and causing it spiral out of control.

She watched with sick joy as the jet continued to fall and soon crashed into a fiery explosion when it connected with the solid Earth. She roared in victory glad she had destroyed those human toys.

She turned her attention however to her original goal. Turning her body to the south she started to walk, her large steps caused the Earth to shake and crumble underneath her hooves. Her destination was near. A city. Where many of these humans call home. If she brought that city to ruin it will provide the message as clear as day to those pathetic Gods that she has returned and that nothing they could do would stop her from having her revenge.

Yet her revenge would be paused once again for Mother Earth would feel a change within the very Earth itself. A power was being formed, something was coming, and it confused her greatly since this great power she felt.

Was her own.

A loud crash was heard from behind her as the Earth shook once more, Gaea turned around as quickly as this new form would allow her to see a large column of dust and dirt had risen into the air as if something large had landed. As the dust and smoke slowly dissipated, Mother Earth was able to gaze into what had dared interrupt her revenge.

The being was massive, about as tall as she was in her own current form. It was also human like with a red and silver body that shined brightly in the warm sun of the day. It rose from its crouched position and stood tall before her. Its single black line that rested between gold lines much like chest armor all highlighted the bright blue crystal emerald that rested in the being's chest. Its head was fin shaped with gold on either side of the base of the fin. Its eyes were bright golden and narrowed as it gazed at Mother Earth.

Gaea could not believe it. She was surprised but now she was elated. It was a giant. A giant had come to her aid. Oh, how wonderful! She could have laughed at how wonderful this was and how stupid the Gods were for letting one go free. She had help now! Help to destroy these pathetic humans and help to destroy the Gods themselves. She might just have this giant destroy that camp to leave a message.

She roared out the order to the giant and started to turn only to pause as she watched the red and silver giant spread its legs and lower itself down into a stance its left hand pulled back in a fist and its right arm extended and its hand open but firm. It was a fighting stance as it let out a loud grunt that echoed.

Gaea was shocked. This giant, wished to fight her? Her?! Mother Earth! The same Mother Earth that freed them and gave them guidance! How dare this giant challenge her!

Her rage for the Gods and those Demigods were placed on hold as her rage for this foolish giant before her grew to new heights. She would make it pay. Oh, she would make it pay for even thinking of challenging her rule.

She let out a roar, a loud angry roar filled with hate and rage and charged at the giant who accepted her challenge and charged at her as well.

The Earth shook as these two titans charged each other. Gaia roared once more her mouth open ready to bite the giant with its sharp teeth, but she was unprepared for the giants' quicker movements as it delivered a strong knee strike to her head snapping her jaw shut and making her feel something she hadn't felt since she was set ablaze.

Pain.

She roared in angry pain as the giant continued its assault delivering thundering blows to her back. Gaea felt the blows and growled low as she rammed her head into the giants exposed stomach chasing it to grunt in surprise and pain. Using her horns to hold the giant in place, Gaea reared her head up causing the giant to go flying over her head and past her body as it crashed into the Earth behind her with resounding force.

The monstrous form turned around to watch the giant get back on his feat and shake his head before entering that same stance again. She growled low and rushed the giant wanting to put it in its place.

She was not expecting it to do what it did next, however.

The giant had spread its arms out quickly as a flash of light could be seen at the top of his head as the golden slates on both sides of the fin started to glow. The giant brought his arms together as he leaned down as light gathered into the fins. Gaea watched in shock as a long crimson light that sparked and cackled in power started to grow from the end of the fin as the giant rose to full height. It let out a yell and moved his upper body like a spring he thrust his arms and head down throwing the whip like energy right at Mother Earth.

She roared in agony as the crimson energy whip struck her causing her great pain that traveled all over her new body and into her own immortal soul. She felt it then and it alarmed her greatly. This power, this was the Earth. Her own power was being used against her. Causing her harm.

Her anger grew double at that revelation. This giant somehow was using her own power against her. She could feel it now. Radiating from him was the Earth itself. Yet…it was different. It was her power yet altered. It angered her, enraged her. To believe that some foolish giant could even dream of using her power.

She would remind it who the real Gaea is.

Her roar shook the Earth and she reared back on her hind legs her form now towering over the giant as it took a step back its stance not wavering. She would change that, as she would forcefully stomp onto the earth with her front hooves and the Earth started to shake and crack.

The giant tried to keep its footing, but Gaea wouldn't let him with a roar it charged once again and went to snap at the giant, her neck continuing to stretch and stretch until she struck the giant square in the chest causing it the yell out in pain and crumble to the Earth below.

Gaea roared out once more as the long neck waved the head around like a cobra as it wrapped around the downed giant's leg and squeezed while lifting him up. The giant yelled out in alarm as it waved its arms. Gaea would then forcefully slam the giant into the ground causing dust and dirt to fly out and the pained yell of the giant was music to her ears.

It rose slower that time as it entered its stance and charged at her. It went for a swinging punch, but she moved her head and instead it hit nothing but air. She however would slam her head into the back of the giant causing it to yell out in pain as the horns had dug into its back. It only being propped up by her tall form.

Gaea roared once again and started to shake its large body and the green pollen exploded out of the trees on her back surrounding the giant as it let out a choked noise as it tried to cover its face. He tried to pull away but another strike to the back caused it to be flung back into the pollen and as sparks danced over the giant making him let out choked filled scream of pain.

Gaea laughed harshly as the giant struggled to breath and escape her hold. She would gladly watch it die with great amusement. This foolish giant would be but a test of her new form. A form she would use to destroy the Gods, their children, and their precious creations.

She would roar once more and deliver another strike to the giant sending it flying to the side to crash into the dirt. She roared in glee as she rushed the downed form of the foolish giants and rose her front legs up and brought them down on its back causing it to yell out in great pain. She repeated this again wanting to hear him scream and each time was music to her ears. She roared out and delivered another strike as she saw him slowly try and push himself up forcing him back to the earth.

She would raise her head up then her head coil and sprung up like a snake ready to strike. Her jaw opened wide as venom dripped down her sharp teeth. Her antenna flinching and moving, and her compound eyes all focused on the down giant under her. Her mouth curved into a hungry smirk and as quick lighting she snapped her head down to kill this giant.

However, she would tense in alarm her neck only a meter away from the giants neck before then she let out a scream of pain and alarm as she felt something sharp stab into her side as sparks danced and rained from her body and as she was sent crashing to the ground.

She rose slowly her head moving around to see what had stuck her and she tensed in alarm at what Mother Earth saw.

Another giant had arrived.

In contrast to the red and silver giant, this giant's body was mostly blue with black marks that made it look dignified and noble. Its head was fin shaped as well except that it was curved at the top and the head was decorated with black lines. On its chest in a golden perch rested a similar blue crystal that shined a hidden light. Its eyes were also narrowed but were also stricter compared to the red giant. It stood with a grace that most giants never could possess.

Yet that was not what alarmed her. Not even the glowing azure blade that was made from light that engulfed his hand. No what alarmed Mother Earth was that this giant's power reminded her of Pontos. No, it was like she was gazing at Pontos himself with the level of power she was feeling from this giant.

It didn't make sense. It goes against everything that she knew. How could that sea making fool be here! She admits that he was cute and had a vast imagination, but she chose her love over him. Even if she did have an enjoyable affair with him. Still to see one of her old loves power before her was striking.

The giant stood before the downed form the one she was fighting as it slowly was shaking off the effects of her pollen and her assault. She growled low and shook her head at this foolish giant for even thinking of using the power of one of her kind.

The blue giant entered a stance with his arm up showing the azure blade that shined with the power of the ocean. The red giant rose and entered its fighting stance as it stood next to him. Both ready to fight. The Land and Sea fighting Mother Earth.

Gaea roared out in anger and rage at these two giants dared think they could stand against her. She charged at these two giants and struck her head at the blue giant as the red one ducked under her head and tackled her body making her halt her charge.

The blue giant slashed at her head with quick precise slashes showing he was skilled with a blade, but she was quick and avoided the few slices while also letting out hissing roars her snout huffing and her attendee jerking.

She went for a strike her mouth open to chomp on the giants arm only to yowl in pain as the red giant had delivered a strong jab to her back making her falter and causing the blue giant to swipe at her face with his sword causing sparks to dance from her head.

Her two horns fell to the ground smoking from where the blue giant had cut making her yowl in blind rage.

The blue and red giant backed away both standing side by side as they entered fighting stances. Gaea howled in anger and raised her front legs up and slammed them into the ground causing the Earth to shake once more causing the two to stumble.

Taking the loss in focus Gaea howled out and opened her mouth wider then before and from her mouth fired large stingers at the two. They could not doge the stingers as sparks danced from their bodies as they both fell to the ground in pain.

ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH! She has had it with these two giants getting in her way. She growled low and went to bring in the energy and power of the Earth to end these two before her. She was Mother Earth, and she will use the Earth to destroy these two.

The red giant would quickly get to his feat as it stared down at the Gaea its blue gem now blinking red. The giant let out a huff and raised both his arms to the air where they glowed, and a crimson light engulfed the giant as he brought his arms down and crossed them over his chest before spreading them to the side in a T shape before bringing them down as his body started to change.

The light exploded from him and with a loud yell of power from the red giant his form had changed. His body was bulkier showing his body had increased in muscle mass. He also had blue sections now on his sides with white marks around it and his shoulders and upper chest had black marks with gold lines around them.

This new form stunned Gaea, for the power she felt in this being before her was an impossibility. The power of the land and sea in one being. It was her power along with Pontos. Her entire form shook as this figure entered a different fighting stance. One arm extended in a fist the other pulled back and over his head in an open chop.

This giant…this being was an impossibility. She needed to destroy it for the natural order of the world. Her Earth did not need this being here. She roared once more and charged at this giant.

He held his ground and when she got close, he pushed his shoulder out like a linebacker. Gaea felt something in her break as all her momentum came to a forceful stop. She roared in pain and shock as the giant didn't even budge as it pushed her off and griped her neck and head. Then to her shock it started to spin.

The giant spun in place holding the neck and head of Gaea as soon the body was trying to keep up with the giants' sudden strong movements but soon it could not catch up and was soon flying in the air as the giant continued to pick up speed. With each spin it would get faster and faster and soon Gaea couldn't even see where they were anymore due to everything being a blur.

Then with a mighty yell the giant released her, and Gaea was sent flying into the air and launched into the far distance where she crashed into the Earth with great force.

The giant entered his stance again as Gaea slowly rose to her feat staggering back and forth trying to get the world to stop spinning.

How was this possible. How was this giant beating her? She was Mother Earth! She could not die or lose if she were standing within her domain! Why was she feeling pain from these giants!?

She roared in blind anger as she charged at the giant wanting to end him for bringing her pain. But that would never happen.

The giant in red would raise his left hand high in the air as his right would be placed next to the blinking red light on his chest. He would then spread his arms wide forward and to the back of his head as light gathered into his hands. Along with him the blue giant had risen as well and had places both his hands on either side of his chest piece as the blue gem shined a bright blue, the blue giant had spread his arms to the side as light started to gather around the giant's chest.

Gaea could feel it now. Something that she had missed and had completely ignored as she fought these two giants. She had failed to notice her power dwindling, her control over the Earth shaking. Yet as much as she tried to gather more power it would not answer her. The Earth itself was ignoring her call.

However, with growing dread she realized that the Earth was giving its power to the giants and her entire being shook as she realized this. She tried to forgo the body she made and escape into the Earth once more, but she could not. Gaea tried and forced and clawed but she could not escape the shell she had trapped herself in.

The Earth would not let her back in. She screamed internally, begging to know why her own domain would betray her, but its then she realized it. She never felt that close connection to the domain. It was there but greatly lessened. It was as if she was far away from her domain.

But that made no sense! She was here on the ground, where her power was at its strongest so why couldn't she heal, why couldn't she escape?!

Its only when she saw the giant of red slowly bring his hands together over his head and the blue giant reach his hand out above his head as the light gathered in his palm in a sphere that she realized it. These two, these two giants were not just giants. They were the land and sea, the Earth, and the Ocean. Guardians of the planet and all that lives that called it home.

They were Gaea and Pontos, and this, this was not her Earth.

The giant of the Earth brought his hands together the gathered light all held between his two palms and giant of the sea brought the spinning orb of light to his side as he placed his other hand under it ready to throw the orb. At once they released their attacks as the red giant slowly moved his clasped hands up and down releasing a blinding ray of energy and light right at the monster while his partner thrusting his arms out sending the condensed orb of light flying right at her.

Both attacks stuck true, and Gaea let out a blood curdling scream of pain and agony as she felt her entire being ripped apart. Sparks danced from her body and as the beam dug into her and exploded from the other side as the orb traveled right into her head.

The monster form of Gaea let out one last roar before exploding into an inferno of fire her body breaking apart and returning to the Earth.

Both titans watched with satisfied breaths glad that the monster had been beaten. Both turned to each other and gave a nod and a firm handshake before fading away into light.

No one knew who exactly their two guardians fought that day. Many believed it was just another run of the mill monster attack. Others believe it was an alien plan to extract minerals from the Earth's core. No one would ever believe that the monster was in fact a Primordial God from another Earth.

However, they know they can rest easy. For they knew that whatever threat may arrive, whatever monster may rampage or whatever evil alien plan may come to fruition. The world and all its people know that the guardians of the land and sea will be there.

Yes, they know that the great titans and heroes, Ultraman Gaia and Ultraman Agul will never give up and will always protect the Earth and all who call this planet home.
