Fenrir POV:

Walking back to the clearing in the Enchanted Forest with nothing but a grin on my face may have made my pack mates worried. They've known I've been anxious on waiting for my mate once more. Finally I got to see her once more. When I arrived my beta was brave enough to run up to me with a questionable yet a keen glean to his eyes.

"So I take it the run was refreshing, Alpha," He asked with a chip to his voice.

"Ah...you have no idea, Trio...," I replied running a hand through my hair. It was slick with water for I ran into the river to bathe before coming back to camp.

"Finally! For if I have to take another mouth lashing about,' how you haven't seen her yet' has come to an end?"

Punching his arm lightly he chuckles as we walk to my tent making me burst out in excitement,

"OH! What a sight it was! So beautiful and grown so much! I just want to have her then and there! Then a boy came looking for her...I couldn't take her but, I felt her heart race like she recognized me!"

Trio chuckles as he goes to my pouch and pulls out a bottle of firewhisky raising it up," Then we must celebrate! She's your mate and we can move away from here!"

I growled softly,"Not that simple...I haven't fully bonded with her yet..."

Trio sighs in frustration," We need to move on soon, Fenrir...we are gonna run out of resources that the woods can't provide for us..."

I know he spoke true and that the winters are harsher than where are cabins were. It was tedious to travel the whole pack to this location and I know it was suppose to temporary to be here but...knowing Hermione was to be at the school was a small chance against her being a muggle. Running my hand through my hair as I take a seat I sigh softly.

"There will be a day that I can take her and bring her to our pack and we will live like it was that day. Where it's pure happiness throughout the pack and stability," I say with hopefulness. I still believe in it.

Trio hands me the bottle and I take a swig thinking of her bushy hair shining in the moonlight.

Then I hear in my mind,"Alpha, we have visitors! Wizards by the looks of them!"

Rising to my feet immediately I made my way out of the tent and out to meet the pack surrounding two wizards dressed up like important people.

"What do you want," I ask irritated that my mood is going sour with intruders.

One of the wizards looks back and smiles,"We have a proposition for the Alpha of this pack. Are you him?"

Hermione POV:

I couldn't get the wolf out of my mind. No matter what makes me feel safe and protected by the black wolf and felt like I need to look for him.

It was worrying Ms. Jones so I took the opportunity to go to Ron's early and won't feel more tempted to look for the wolf.

Besides it was time for the Quidditch World Cup...

Later that night:

His mark! Is he back?! It wasn't possible...could it? I wasn't sure but, I couldn't fathom what the year will bring...will I lose my best friend?

Fenrir POV:

Sitting before a fire I watch the flames dance as I was lost in thought. The propagation of the Dark Lord returning...the possiblilty of having freedoms like wizards was tempting...but what services will it require?

What about me and Hermione? She's my mate but, she's friends with the Potter boy...I had to think of something for her life could be at risk for what is to come.

Tossing a log into the fire Trio comes up to me cautiously and says gently," Hey...mind if I come close?"

Looking at him I nod my head as he takes a seat on the log near me looking at the fire as well.

"What are we gonna do Alpha?"

Letting out a sigh I shake my head and bow it down running my fingers through my hair.

Looking up at him I shook my head," I don't know, Trio... I do not know...

AN:

I know this chapter is probably super lame but it's getting my creative juices back into the game to write this story. Im trying to keep my quota of 1000 words a chapter and seriously having a sucky time. Plus life gets busy with stuff. Anywho I hope you guys are willing to wait cause its gonna be a doozy I think for the next chapter. Happy readings!
