A/n: Please ignore my mistakes.
Today is the day of the final task of this year's House Wars and by the end of the day winner will be declared. The tension is up to the roof in the castle. Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws are both excited and nervous. Not everyone is happy, Slytherin lost in first task and they still are bitter about it.
Everyone is called in the Great Hall. Every professor is present there wearing their new robes, Professor Dumbledore is also wearing his brand-new silk blue rob with moon and stairs on it. When everyone is settled, he comes up to the stand.
"Good morning students." He spoke. "As you already know today is the last task of the House Wars and we will find who will acquire the title of 'Ultimate House'."
The hall is filled with sounds of cheering and hooting.
"Today's task is divided in two halves. In the first part, the teams will perform some of the spells and they will be marked by the experts sent by the Ministry and the second part includes dueling, of course not fatal."
Students gasped; team members looked at each other. Neville was shivering like it was minus 45 degrees in the hall.
"Calm down, as we already know this year there are three teams who made it to the finals." *Gryffindors, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaws cheers loudly* "So in the first part of the task, one of the team will be eliminated." Said Professor Dumbledore. "Now let's start the task." He added and went back to his seat.
This task was one of the hardest tasks all the teams have to do. The teams were called in the Transfiguration classroom to further instruct them for the task. Professor McGonagall was standing in the room.
"So, the first part of your task will begin soon, this task will test your spell education and performance." She spoke.
The Hufflepuff team was sacred this time, while Ravenclaw and Gryffindors were chill.
"Experts are sent by Ministry to conduct your task. Only two members of the team will perform this task and leader will have to make the choice." She spoke. "and please choose the spell you will perform very carefully." She added.
Every team started discussing.
Hannah, the Hufflepuff team leader selected her and Justin to perform the task, Ravenclaw leader Luna chose Cho and herself. Padma and Anthony seemed unhappy about the decision. Harry also chose himself and Hermione.
After that the selected members were called in the Great Hall, which was now converted into simple hall. The house benches were moved to the sides and three small tables were kept in the middle. On one of the benches there was written Gladys Jones, an old lady, crooked nose wearing a purple dress. She vaguely resembled Professor Snape. On the other desk was written Arthur McAvoy, a tall, very tall man whose legs were too long to fit in the chair. And the last one was Penelope Blossom, mid aged women and she was only one out of the other two who was not odd.
As they all reached their, Penelope stood up from her chair.
"Welcome to your first part of your task, here we will check your knowledge about the spells. Each member is allowed to perform any one spell of your choice. Ravenclaw team your instructor is Mr. McAvoy, Hufflepuff you are with Mrs. Jones and that leaves Gryffindor with me.
The teams move to the benches of their respective instructor.
Ravenclaw team:
Neither Luna nor Cho were nervous on the other hand they were pretty confident. Cho was first one to go.
"What's the spell you are going to perform." Said Mr. McAvoy. His voice was like a faint growl which intimidated Cho.
"Accio, sir." Said Cho.
"Great, tell me about this spell." He asked
"Accio is a charm that summons an object towards the caster. It is able to summon objects in direct line of sight of the caster as well as things out of view, by calling the object aloud after incantation." She recited like it was her favorite song. Mr. McAvoy raised his eyebrows with clapping hand!
"Please demonstrate the spell by summoning one of your text books." Said Mr. McAvoy.
Cho took a deep breath and took out her wand.
"Accio, textbook."
The Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them book came zooming inside the hall, catching everyone's attention and landed in Cho's hand.
"Very well done, next." Said Mr. McAvoy.
Cho moved backward and Luna came in front. She started examining Mr. McAvoy from head to toe which he didn't liked. *Mr. McAvoy Faked cough*
"Let's start, what will you perform today?" he asked.
"Oh!, Apparation." Said Luna excitingly.
"So please tell me what is Apparation?" said Mr. McAvoy.
"It is a transportation spell which magically transports the caster to another location instantaneously. The destination is one that the primary user has been to or seen in some fashion previously." Said Luna, in way that seemed like she was telling a story.
"Please perform apparition." Said Mr. McAvoy
Luna stood a little behind, she raised her hand. In a second, she vanished in thin air and she reappeared behind Mr. McAvoy who was a little startled.
"Your task is over." Said Mr. McAvoy.
Hufflepuff Team:
Both Hannah and Justin were scared. They went towards Mrs. Jones who inspected them from head to toe very carefully. Hannah decided to go first.
"Well well, what spell will you little girl will perform?" said Mrs. Jones in her squeaky voice. It was like a mouse squeaking very loudly and speaking English.
"Er, Bombardo" replied Hannah.
"Oh my, what a spell you chose. Now start with the definition and then perform it." Said Mrs. Jones.
"so basically, bombardo is charm spell. It is derived from the word *Pause* er, 'Bombard', meaning, hm, to attack a place or a person, er, continually with bombs and missiles." Said Hannah, she was relieved to have finished her definition.
Mrs. Jones took out her wand and waved it in air, a large wooden door appeared. She instructed Hannah to use spell on it. Hannah moved toward the door; she was nervous.
"Hannah, you can do it." Said Justin.
She took her wand and pointed it toward the door.
"Bombardo"
At the end of tip of her wand, a fire ball came out and it smashed into the door. Although, the damage Hannah was expecting was not done, there were just a burnt circle of just few inches on the door. She knew she chose a wrong spell.
"Okay, so boy what you are going to show?" said Mrs. Jones.
"Riddikulus." Said Justin.
"alright just start with the definition." Said Mrs. Jones.
"It is a charm spell used when fighting a boggart, it turns it into a funny object." Said Justin. He just completed the definition in just one line. Hannah sighed.
"Well, boy that was short and easy." Said Mrs. Jones and she waved her wand and this time a large glass jar appeared in front of Justin. Inside the jar there was a boggart but in form a scary clown with bloody teethes. Justin was scared, he raise his wand his hand shaking.
"Riddikulus."
The clown jerked and the jar was covered with white smoke and as the smoke settled. The bogart was now turned into Draco wearing a tiara and a pink gown. Hannah and Justin laughed, boggart got scared and he vanished.
"Your task is over." Said Mrs. Jones.
Gryffindor team:
Hermione as usual was pretty confident because this task was also in her comfort zone. Harry was also pretty confident this time. They made their way towards Mrs. Blossom. Hermione went first.
"Welcome dear, what spell will you perform today." Said Mrs. Blossom in a sweet voice.
"Muffliato." Said Hermione.
"Very well, let's start with the definition." Said Mrs. Blossom.
"Muffliato is a charm spell which prevents other from hearing nearby conversations by filling people ears with an unidentifiable buzzing." Said Hermione like she was reading it directly from the book.
"Good, now please use it on me and have a conversation with your team member." Said Mrs. Blossom.
Hermione pointed her wand at Mrs. Blossom.
"Muffliato."
After that Hermione started talking to Harry. She talked for a few minutes and then they were interrupted by Mrs. Blossom.
"Very well done. I was not able to hear a single word." She spoke. Hermione smiled. "Now boy its your turn, please tell me what spell will you perform." She added.
"Expecto Patronum." Said Harry. Hermione was in shock; it was very difficult spell to perform. Mrs. blossom also raised her eyebrows.
"Start with the definition." Said Mrs. Blossom.
"Expecto Patronum is a charm which is highly powerful which conjures a spirit guardian of positive emotions of caster and fight dementors and also send messages." Said Harry. He knew his definition was average but he will make it up with his Patronus.
Harry took out his wand and waved it in air.
"Expecto Patronum."
A shiny blue light came out his wand which transformed into a beautiful stag which started running in the entire hall. Everyone was mesmerized by it.
"Very good, your task is over," said Mrs. Blossom.
After that all the experts stood up.
"Your scores will be sent to headmaster and he will make the announcement." Said Mrs. Blossom.
Later, that day, everyone was told to gather in Great Hall. The environment there was tense. Hufflepuffs, Gryffindors and Ravenclaws all had their fingers crossed. Professor Dumbledore made his way toward the stand.
"We have the result of the first part of the task." Said Professor Dumbledore. Everyone was quiet there was pin drop silence in the hall.

I never thought I will be able to finish but the love that I received forced me to complete it. House Wars is one of my favorite work. I hope you guys will review this chapter as well.
