The night of the last chapter, Rose was currently sleeping in her bed, sweat beating down her forehead. She grunted and groaned and turned on her side.

Inside Rose's mind, Rose opened her eyes and saw that she was in Hell once again. She looked around with both anger and sadness on her face. Rose stumbled back and bumped into Barbatos, who had appeared behind her. Rose immediately turned to Barbatos and instinctively tried to punch him but he caught it and said,"Easy Rose."

Rose's eyes widened while she backed away from Barbatos saying,"You! Why am I back here? I'm not done yet!"

"You aren't back here. I am simply communicating with you through your mind.",Barbatos explained casually. Rose relaxed slowly and looked Barbatos up and down before saying,"Why are you wanting to talk with me?"

"I am here to congratulate you on your victory against the deadly sin of Envy.",Barbatos replied.

"What victory? Jacoby's still alive as are the others.",Rose scoffed.

"Even so, you've bested a deadly sin in combat and that, I feel, deserves a reward.",Barbatos said while moving closer to Rose. Barbatos then lifted his hand, revealing a violet orb to be in it. Rose raised an eyebrow then asked,"What's this?" as she reached for the orb. The orb immediately went into Rose's hand and absorbed into her, causing violet veins to appear over her body and her eyes to briefly glow violet. Rose stumbled back and breathed heavily before saying,"What was that?"

"It's power. I have just given you the ability to manipulate concussive force at your own will. It will cause your attacks to be amplified greatly.",Barbatos explained to Rose. Rose gained a confused expression which made Barbatos chuckle slightly. He then said,"You will come to learn what that means in time. Just ask your human companion when you awake."

In the real world, Rose suddenly awoke and she quickly sat up to see that she was in her room inside Devon's home. She sighed in relief then she looked at the door as Devon came into the room wearing a uniform and said,"Hey Rose, I'm going to work and I'll be back in a few hours."

"Okay. Wait, work? You have a job?",Rose questioned.

"Yes, I have a job. I go to it everyday and it's how I can afford to get food for the house.",Devon said. Rose nodded then she said,"I thought you traded something for the food we have?"

Devon sighed and his head hung then said,"Right, you're from three thousand years in the past so the concept of money is foreign to you." Devon looked up at Rose,"I used this thing called money to get those items and I have to go earn more of it by working at a grocery store. See you later."

"See you later.",Rose said while waving. Devon walked to the door then he said from the living room,"Oh and if you go out today, there's a key on the counter you can use to lock up."

"Alright.",Rose said as she heard Devon leave the house. She then sighed while getting up from her bed. "I don't understand so much about this time period."

In the conference room, Cleo and the others were sitting together with each one of them save for Hezekiah and Balrog having bewildered expressions. Voria was the first to speak,"Can't believe that Rose was able to defeat Jacoby."

"Why? I mean I like the lad but he's the weakest of all and is a sniveling coward at the best of times.",Adonis said with a raised eyebrow.

Balrog scoffed while crossing her arms. Cleo turned to the group while saying,"It doesn't matter if Jacoby is the weakest of us, she managed to beat him, the deadly sin of Envy. That's not a feat we can ignore."

Jacoby entered the room, now wearing a t-shirt, blue jeans, and faded black shoes, and said,"Hey guys."

Cleo and the others looked at Jacoby, causing him to scratch the back of his neck and look away from them while saying,"I'm in trouble aren't I?"

"No you aren't lad, however you are now an embarrassment to yourself and us as a whole.",Adonis casually said while gesturing to himself and the other five.

"I thought that was Rufus?",Voria questioned.

"No, he's just a slob. Right Rufus?",Adonis replied. Rufus was currently sleeping in his chair, snoring softly as he did so.

"Enough. Jacoby, you have some explaining to do on how you were defeated by Rose.",Cleo commanded while looking at Jacoby.

"I-i don't know. She was really strong and I had her for a bit but then I answered a question she asked me and she cut me down.",Jacoby explained fearfully while moving over to a chair.

"A question? What did she ask you?", Hezekiah asked.

"She asked why we did what we did to her. I told her that she was convenient and that I was jealous of her.",Jacoby explained. Hezekiah gained a solemn expression once he heard this and he sighed. Cleo also gained a solemn look but it quickly went away and she said,"Anyway, now that Jacoby's been defeated. Someone else has to go out and deal with her."

Balrog grinned eagerly then she looked to Hezekiah as he said,"Voria should be the one."

"Why me?",Voria questioned, still eating.

"Because you have unique demons. Take Rufus with you, give him something to do.",Hezekiah said. Voria nodded then she got up and pushed Rufus, causing him to awaken and say,"What's wrong?!"

"C'mon, we're going to go deal with Rose. Or attempt to anyway.",Voria explained with a hand on her hip. Rufus groaned in protest,"But that's so much work."

"Maybe but would you rather be doing it now with me or later by yourself with either Adonis or Balrog?",Voria said. Rufus looked at both Adonis, who waved, then Balrog, who flipped him off.

"Okay I'll go.",Rufus said before he and Voria left the room.

"Follow them.",Samael said inside Jacoby's mind. Jacoby nodded then he said,"So I uh, have to go do my day job. See you guys later." before leaving the room hastily.

Balrog raised an eyebrow at this but didn't say anything. She instead turned her attention to Hezekiah, with him noticing and saying,"Your time will come Balrog. Just wait."

"I hate waiting and don't talk to me like I'm those three morons. I know you and Cleo don't want me fighting Rose because I'll kill her without breaking a sweat.",Balrog said, unfolding her arms and moving towards Cleo and Hezekiah.

"Actually we don't want you fighting her yet because we all know you'd destroy everything around just to kill her.",Cleo mentioned in an annoyed fashion.

"Either that or you'd just capture her to, you know.",Adonis chimed in with a smug grin. Balrog summoned a navy blue hilted and fiery orange Uruk Berserk sword and she immediately jumped over the table and held it to Adonis' neck. Adonis looked into Balrog's flaming eyes as she said in a rage filled tone,"Finish that sentence and I will kill you in the cruelest and slowest way I can think of."

Adonis put his hands up while still retaining his smug expression even as Balrog backed off of him. She gritted her teeth then said,"I'm leaving." before she did so.

At the grocery store Devon works at, Devon was stocking shelves at his job, having wireless earbuds in his ears as he did so. It was at this time that he was tapped on his shoulder and he took out one of his ear buds while turning to the person who tapped him while saying,"Yes?"

Devon then flinched when he looked at the person who tapped him, seeing the same armored man from the day he gained the brace on his arm. He was startled and jumped slightly before letting out a sigh of relief and saying,"Jesus, don't scare me like that."

"Firstly, don't take the Lord's name in vain. Second, I'm not him. Lastly, you seem to scare easily in most circumstances Devon.",the armored man said in his usual deep and refined voice.

"How do you know my name? How are you here, I thought you turned into armor and went into this thing that's stuck to my arm." Devon gestured to the brace on his arm.

"I did, and I am not here per say. Only you can see me currently."

Devon gained an inquisitive look before glancing around and seeing that no one was paying attention to the armored man. Devon was astonished but he looked at the armored man and said with suspicion,"Okay so only I can see you. Does that mean you're a hallucination or something?"

"No, it means you're being visited by an angel.",the armored man said while crossing their arms. Devon's eyes widened and his jaw dropped then he looked around. "Let's go somewhere where I won't be questioned for my sanity." He then made his way to the warehouse portion of the store. Devon turned to the armored man, who was now sitting on a pallet of bottled water, and asked,"Okay, why is an angel visiting me of all people?"

"Because you've been chosen as Crusiad, which I've had the liberty of changing you into and controlling for the past two battles you've been in.",the armored man said.

Devon briefly had a questioning gaze until he remembered Rose calling him that. "So Rose was telling the truth about me having on armor and fighting with her."

"That she was. You do not remember because I had to commandeer your body in order to fight however I cannot do this for you always."

"Why not?"

"Because you are Crusiad, not I. You need to become strong enough to use the armor on your own with no assistance so you will be able to do your job."

"And what job would that be?"

"Stopping the seven deadly sins."

"I thought that was Rose' job?"

"No, Rose is out for revenge against the group who the sins inhabit that banished her to Hell. Meaning she doesn't necessarily care about the seven deadly sins themselves."

"But Rose does care about the sins. I mean she's been killing the demons that Jacoby created for the last month."

"All because she wanted to get towards Jacoby. Listen Devon, I'm not saying that Rose isn't doing just things by killing demons created by the seven deadly; I am just pointing out that her motives behind doing so are not."

Devon was going to shout at the armored man however, he stopped and began to reflect on what he'd just been told; looking down at his shoes. When he looked up, the armored man was gone and Devon looked around for him as a result. Devon sighed while he also began to think about Rose and why she was doing what she was doing.

At Devon's home, Rose was in the backyard doing push-ups on the patio. She was sweating and her breathing began to strain just as she stopped and stood up, putting on sandals as she did so. Rose picked up a water bottle and sipped from it before beginning to recall her fight with Jacoby.

"It was nothing personal, Rose. We just needed a sacrifice and you were the most convenient."

Rose crushed the bottle in her hand when she recalled Jacoby's voice and she gritted her teeth in anger as images of her, Cleo, Hezikiah, Adonis, Rufus, Balrog, Jacoby, and Voria being jovial with one another as they fought side by side came into her head. Rose grabbed her head and began grunting as her anger grew more and more. Rose began to hear laughter and remember moments of comradery between her and her former teammates, and she balled her hands into fists while gritting her teeth even harder.

After a moment, Rose angrily shouted while pushkicking the railing of the patio. Rose' kick caused the entire section of the railing to shatter into many pieces and scatter across the backyard. Rose's eyes widened and her jaw slacked slightly from this. She then looked down and saw that while her foot was okay, her sandal was completely obliterated, now only being a strap around her ankle which was frayed at the bottom.

Rose put her hand through her hair then he took the strap off of her ankle and examined it, noticing that pieces of it were among the wood shards. She began to chuckle in amazement then she looked at another section of the railing and she gathered all of her strength and pushkicked it, causing a large chunk of the section to shatter along with her other sandal.

Rose smiled with amazement as she took off the sandal strap from her ankle then she heard the front door open and went inside.
