I couldn't wait any longer, so we're now jumping into the series so right now they're fourteen.

The twins sat there in the dark working on a serum, and the reason why they were in the dark was because they had the curtains closed since the chemical is sensitive to light.

Varian then put a drop of green liquid into the vial Vera was holding and purple smoke covered the room immediately. The twins coughed, not expecting that to happen, "Okay, *cough* I'm gonna open the curtains now" Vera said while taking off her goggles before walking over to the window, not noticing that the raccoon trap went off.

Once she opened the curtains she heard her brother say, "I mean, technically it's not magic it's Alchemy, but d-don't sweat it." Vera turned around and walked over to her brother to see who he was talking to.

What she saw was two girls, one had a lot of hair and the other girl had pale skin and short black hair.

The one with the long hair let out a nervous laugh, "Got it, so, what is this?" She asked while pointing down at the purple goop.

"Oh, it's a chemical compound of my own design," Varian said while taking off his leather coat, "See we have a bit of a critter problem out here, and through the miracle of modern alchemy, I have found a humane way to solve the problem" he explained while picking up the raccoon, the one that keeps coming back!

"This is riveting, but could you get us out of here?" The older one asked.

"Ha! Where is that neutralizing parti- Oh! C-Come get outta here!" he got the raccoon out of the lab again before walking over with the neutralizing particle in hand. Varian then sprinkled it on top of the goop as he let out a laugh, "I am so sorry, your Highness" he said humbly, which made Vera's jaw drop because she didn't realize it before.

"Your Highness? Wait, you know who I am?" Rapunzel asked, "Uh, how could I not? *laughs* Look at your hair!" "Varian!" Vera hissed, "Your highness" Varian finished.

"Oh, please, just Rapunzel" she said, "Neet" Vera commented, "Wow. Really?" Varian said before he circled around the princess, "Okay, so, fantastical stories about your hair returning have spread throughout Corona. Yeah, people say it's magic, but personally, I don't really believe that, now as you have probably guessed I am a man of science, specifically Al-" "Alchemy, we know" the one called Cassandra said.

"Now listen, kid, we need your help, but let me make something clear. Whatever happens here stays here, you got it?" She threatened, which made Vera kind of impressed.

"Come on, Cass, let's not threaten him" Rapunzel said, "Oh no, please do" Vera said. "Okay, come over here and I'll take a look" Varian said as he gestured to the table which Rapunzel laid down on.

Varian then started to examine it, "Oh, yes, this, this is- long." Which made Vera face palm.

"Oh, don't worry, Your High- Rapunzel, I am sure that I, Varian, can unlock the mystery of your hair with the power of science!" he announced, Vera noticed the giant magna-find glass about to hit him, "Uh Varian-" "OW!" Varian quickly put his hand on his head and pulled it away to see blood on it "No sweat, it's just a little-" he then passed out.

Vera just stood over her twin's unconscious body, "You really need to get over that blood thing."

Varian looked up at the pile of hair that day on his head before looking down at the chameleon that sat on the princess's lap..

"Bring back what once was mine, what once was mine" Rapunzel finished singing, "Better?" Varian checked, "Oh, yeah- No!" Vera chuckled, "Huh that used to work" Rapunzel said.

Varian picked up one of the strands of hair, "Well, silver lining, we've acquired some critical data about your hair: It no longer possesses its legendary healing power. Progress!" He explained while picking up the whole bunch. Vera frowned and scratched that off the list of hope.

"Now let's figure out exactly what this hair is made of" he then pulled the tarp off of the machine he finished last week. "This machine can analyze any substance for chemical makeup, bitopic composition, and urgu-structural integrity" Varian then gave it a nudge which made it pop up, "I built it myself" Vera immediately let out a noise between a cough and a laugh.

"Nice!" Rapunzel commented.

"If I'm right, this should tell us all there is know about your hair" Varian explained. Vera was surprised to see how fast she got in it, because it can look intimidating. "Let's do this" Rapunzel said.

"Okay! Rapunzel. Now, um, this may get a little-" "Exciting?" Rapunzel said while bouncing up and down, Vera looked at all the sharp tools that shines in the sunlight, "Uhhhhhhh" "Um, sure! Yeah! That's a good word for it" Varian said before pulling the two levers in front of him.

"Whoa-kay! Whaaa! Whoa!" Vera watched as the machine did it's job, "I kind of feel bad for her." Ding! "And there we are! Done" Varian announced. "All right, not super fun, but it's over" Rapunzel chuckled, which made Varian let out a nerves laugh, "Oh, sorry, yeah, I- I meant done with the first test, but don't worry, only 86 more to go."

The machine started up again and this time a saw came whirring. Vera then caught a glimpse of a man in the window before he disappeared, the twins then ducked when the saw came in the twins direction, "Amazing! You were right, it's absolutely unbreakable!" Varian exclaimed.

At that moment a man burst ed through the door, "But I'm betting you're not! Let her go!." Vera reconnaissance him right away, "Varian! LOok!" She said, shaking her brother's shoulder a bit, a wide smile spreader across his face.

"Eugene, hey" the princess said. "Blondie! You're okay! You wanna tell me what's goin' on here? You know what, I don't care, I'm gettin' you outta there" Eugene said as he started to mess with the strap. "Hey! You're Flynn Rider!" Varian exclaimed, getting more and more excited.

"No, you don't know what you're talking about, I've never seen you before in my life, you can't prove anything!" Eugene said in denial. Varian let out a little fanboy laugh, "I'm your biggest fan" Vera frowned at that, "We, Varian, 'we're are his biggest fans" she then saw Varian run over to the curtain that separated her room from his lab. "Varian! Only open it half way because that's also my room!" Varian then opened the curtain half way showing off their Flynn Rider collection, "See."

Eugene had a surprised looked on his face, "Hey, now! Flynn Rider, nice to be met."

"This is awesome" Vera said while bouncing up and down, "I used to see your wanted posters all the time! You're my hero!" Varian exclaimed. "Oh, well, 'hero' is a bit much" Eugene said, trying to sound humble as Varian came towards him carrying a stack of books, "I've read every single book about you!" He said as he dropped all of them.

"Oh well, um, you see, that's not actually me, I just took the name from the book" Eugene explained, Vera frowned, "You've got to be kidding me." She then looked over at Rapunzel when she heard another test was done .

"This isn't right, Cassandra, I have to tell him what's going on" Rapunzel said, "No, Rapunzel, I want to trust you, and I trust that you trust Eugene, but I don't trust Eugene, and if I can't trust Eugene, I can't trust you, and you're just going to have to trust me" Cassandra said, Vera titled her head in confusion. "Trust me, that logic tracks" Cass added.

"Tell me about how you took on the Earl of Camembert" Varian asked, "Also not me" Eugene said again, "Would someone please explain to me who this child is?" he asked.

"I'm Varian" Varian smiled, almost immediately a glass beaker shattered and the 'Energy blade' started to hear up, "Hot, hot, hot, hot!" Varian tossed it and it just so happened to hit the one of a kind wanted poster. "Oh, come on!" Eugene complained, they all then heard a sudden rumbling noise, "What was that trembling?"

"Trembling? I didn't notice any trembling" Varian lied, "Real smooth Var" Vera commented, "Oh! Yeah! Almost forgot to get the spectrometric press, it's the only way I can read the results of the test, Flynn Rider, Wanna come with?" Varian asked. "Why do we keep leaving it in the shed" she mumbled, "No."

"Hey, i-if-if you come, I can show you something really special, but, um, you've got to keep it a secret" Varian added, Eugene then put a hand over his heart, "You want to tell me a secret? Did you hear that everyone? Varitas-V- Var-" "Varian" the male twin corrected. "A complete stranger wants to tell me a secret" Eugene announced.

"Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on these two while you're busy" Vera told Varian as he left with the ex-thief.

"Only 12 more tests to go" Rapunzel said in a shaker voice, bell dings, "Yaaaay!"

"Team Awesome is baaaack!" Varian said, sounding like a sheep as he ran into the room holding the press. "Now, Rapunzel, I know my tests have been a pain in the hm-hm" "Aw, I wouldn't say pain" right on que, Rapunzel got shocked by the machine which lit up the entire room with electric sparks.

"N-Now I would" she confessed.

"But it will all be with it, in a moment, this little guy..." Varian said as have the machine a little kick, "He'll give us all the answers we want." "Woo-hoo! Answers!" Rapunzel cheered, which made Vera laugh a bit, she then stopped when they all heard yet another loud trembling which started to worry both Vera and Eugene.

"Uuuuuh... Look, Raps, I think it's time to go. Now" Eugene suggested, " Now? You're kidding, right? It's almost done" Rapunzel said. Eugene then walked over to Varian who was standing right behind Vera who was sitting on the edge of the stand the machine was on. "Can we talk?" He muttered to the boy, "Uh, of course, that's what Team Awesome does-Whoa!" Eugene grabbed Varian by the collar of his shirt and dragged him outside while a concerned Vera followed.
