The next morning at the Mothership…

Masa arrived at the ship as there was panic from inside.

Everyone was in a frenzy as there were papers flying in the air and people panicking over great distress. Alarms were going on and off as red and blue light was activated, and screens were showing red alert to all.

"What's going on?" Masa questioned Maki Yuuri was trying to keep everything together, desperately trying to keep everyone calm.

"There was another Beastfolk attack, only Nagasumi's father was monitored the entire time and never once transformed!" She answered as the man was stunned by her words and finally awaken to the truth from his dreams.

So, it was true, they got the wrong man. Nagasumi's father wasn't the beastfolk and he was completely innocent this whole time.

"We detained him after following him, but afterward, there was another attack, only it was one our own this time!" Jupiter shouted in fear then began punching himself, a nasty habit that the officials themselves were trying to force him out of.

The shouting and constant chaos by frightened merfolk with no clue on what to do continued until the head came out!

"SILENCE!" Fanshī Pāru bellowed at her men as she was beyond irritated in the state the merfolk officials were in, "THERE IS NO REASON TO PANIC OR CAUSE OF ALARM! OUR MEMBERS HAVE ALREADY BEEN TAKEN INTO MEDICAL CARE!"

The woman took a deep breath as she looked at her frightened crew, who seemed to be on the verge of another panic. It seemed that the legacy of Merfolk Officials has fallen from grace as they became gutless jellyfish now. Since the Beastfolk incident a few years back, none dare try to even face one Beastfolk on the streets or anywhere else, let alone fight them to the bitter end in a battle to the death for land. They needed to find the Beastfolk soon before someone gets hurt or loses their lives.

"Now, we will let Mr. Michishio free and relook at the evidence after the Beastfolks attacks." She sighed in frustration as everyone got right back to work.

In the Mothership holding cells…

Nagasumi's father couldn't believe he was being kidnaped by merfolk, again.

Why does this always seem to be happening to him and his family? He wondered if he was going to be killed or tortured, or something far, far worse.

Then he hears the door open to reveal Masa and Fanshī Pāru before.

"Alright, Mr. Michishio, everything is sorted out and you are free to go." She assured him as they led the human out of the cells, "It seems there was a bit of misunderstanding from our department, and we will be certain you will be compensated for your troubles. Just sign a few things and you'll be free to leave."

"Oh, okay thanks…" He muttered as was brought into another room to sign a few things over.

They needed to be certain he would keep his mouth shut about all of this.

Masa and the other officials then returned to the main deck as they look ever the clue from the recent attacks once again. They placed each piece of information on the board and waited for the clues collected to hit them.

"Who are you?" She questioned.
