Chapter 7

Later that night the General is asleep next to Alina when she started to cry out, he woke and saw her crying and moaning

"Please I don't know anything, he never told me anything."

He place his arm under her neck and the other he used to grabbed her hand to light up the room so when he woke her she wouldn't be scared.

"Alina, Alina wake up"

She opened her eye and saw the General

She cried out, "I didn't tell them anything"

"Alina" the General turned her over to her side and hugged her rubbing her back to calm her down

"They torture us for information" she cried.

"Oh Alina this is all my fault I'm so sorry." He said kissing her forehead trying to get her to calm down

"Then they found my bump"

"Alina I told you to stay strong and you did. Our children are fine and will be born healthy" he didn't want to think if they had been any later ...

"Our children?" she looked at him, "are you happy that.."

"Yes Alina I'm so happy about being a father to our children" he moved his other arm from her back to rub her belly.

"Alina, for too long I have been by myself fighting for Grisha, I have made some bad decisions but the worse was making you my slave. You are not my slave you are my equal"

Alina had tears coming down her face still and went to speak but the General kept going, "After finding out there was 2 order one to kidnap you and the other to have you killed and I saw Red. I let my emotion run and I made a terrible mistake by forcing you to use your powers instead of talking to you. But if you will let me I will spend the rest of our lives making amends of what I have done to you"

Alina placed her hand on top of the hand of the General which was on her belly and spoke, "I have made mistakes to, being part Shu I was bullied and pushed around. In the army some cooks even made me wait til everyone had eaten before I could get food which sometime meant I didn't eat. I was to in my own world to realise how cruel it could truly be to anyone different and after .. ( she started to tear up again)"

"Alina I'm sorry .."

"General ..."

"Please call me Aleksander"

"Aleksander" she had closed her eyes when she said that and smiled, "Aleksander, I want to help you win this war so no one else will suffer"

"Alina can I kiss you" she nodded he smiled and kissed her on her lips they could both feel the electricity running through there bodies. They both running their hands over each other bodies until the need for air they both parted smiling Aleksander saw that she was glowing

"Alina you need your sleep it will be morning soon and we will need to travel back"

Alina yawned and smiled, "I am tired" her skin dulled down and the room was back into darkness. She turned so her back was to Aleksander front and he moved his hand back down to her bump and they both fell asleep shortly after.

The next morning Alina woke up to Aleksander kissing her neck this felt wonderful to her, he was also rubbing her bump which made her smile.

"I know you are awake my love" Aleksander stopped his ministrations.

She smiled, "You rubbing my belly has stopped me from being sick this morning"

He sat up, "Alina do you need anything, are you hungry?"

She turned and she knew she shouldn't have done that, Aleksander was quick to get off the bed and grab Alina a bucket so she could be sick in. She vomited for a bit before she started crying, Aleksander gave her a cup of water to rinse her mouth out and then have a drink.

"Don't cry my love" Aleksander told Alina placing the bucket down and sitting down next to her to rub her back, "your 11 weeks pregnant the healer told me you will start to feel better in the mornings shortly"

"I'm sorry"

"Don't, I will be here now and I will ask the healer to give you something to help the sickness"

Alina nodded and leaned on Aleksander there heads both went up when there was a knock on the door.

"Come in" said Aleksander and Nina opened the door bringing breakfast in.

"I'm sorry it's only porridge" Nina told both of them

"No that is fine, thank you Nina" Aleksander said and passed the bowl to Alina to eat.

"Patty wants to check Alina before we leave today" Nina told them both before she left the room.

"How long til we head out?" Alina asked

"Hopefully if Patty is happy with your recovery and the babies are safe we will take the horse and cart back to the city" Alina nodded at Aleksander and ate her porridge.

Alona managed to finish hers very quickly and was eyeing off Aleksander, he smiled and gave her his plate. Kissing the side of her forehead he got up taking her plate to the kitchen and grabbing Patty.

Patty came in after a few minutes and Alina had just finished her second bowl. "I Feel bad for eating Aleksander portion" Alina said putting the bowl down.

"Don't" smiled Patty as she walked further into the room, "you and Nina haven't eaten well you need it more. Do you mind if I check you out."

"Thanks" Alina smiled.

Patty finished her checks and was happy with Alina healing and the babies had a strong heart beat, "I still suggest we keep the checks up regularly after what you have been thru. Plus when I get back to the city I will get some more herbs for our boat trip to help with your nausea. Also if you are feeling tired please sleep you will need it."

"Thanks Patty can you help me up. I want to leave this place." Alina said

"Yes I think we all do" Patty replied

And they walked into kitchen where everyone was ready to leave.
