Disclaimer: I do not own The Penguins of Madagascar or any of its characters. I do own Alex the penguin and the two younger kids, Sam and Ethan.

Skipper watched as Private dived into the water and swam around; then he jumped out, sending flying water droplets into the air. The people surrounding the enclosure cheered for the young penguin. Private landed on the island beside his leader, and Skipper nodded his approval.

"Good work," Skipper told him.

Private looked pleased and he waddled away to put on another show for the humans. The sound of the hatch opening made Skipper snap around to see Alex poking her head out of the hole. Quickly, Skipper ordered the others to distract everyone, and when he was sure nobody was paying him any mind, he walked over to his daughter.

"What?" he whispered.

"I need to tell you something," she said, beckoning him to come down.

Once inside, he stood facing his daughters and the Youtubers. "Okay, what is it?" he demanded, annoyed. "Make it quick," he added. "Kowalski and the others can't keep the people's attention forever."

"Mark and Jack told their friend to meet them in the park!" Alex blurted out, and Skipper stared at her, too shocked to speak at first. Then he found his voice again.

"What!" he exclaimed, rage pulsing through him. "What friend? Did you tell them about us?"

"Another Youtuber called MatPat," his oldest daughter told him quietly.

"And we didn't tell him about you," Mark added, looking nervous. "We only told him to meet us in the park and we would show him something really cool."

Skipper growled," Are we going to have everyone from the internet in our HQ? No human is supposed to know about us! I knew I couldn't trust you," he went on, glaring at the two Youtubers. "I knew it would be a huge mistake to let you two back in our lives, and now once again our whole operation is in trouble. And it's all because of you!" He turned on his eldest daughter, taking a threatening step toward her. "Don't you care about what would happen to us if Alice or someone else finds out about us? Clearly not! I'm so over this! As soon as the zoo closes, we're taking them-" He jerked his head toward the Youtubers-" back to the park, turning them back into humans, and we are never seeing them again! Do I make myself clear?"

Before any of them could give him an answer, he spun on his heels and went up the ladder, closing the hatch behind him. He was so angry that he forgot to check if his team were still distracting the humans. Thankfully, they were, so nobody noticed him until he stood beside the other penguins.

Kowalski glanced questioningly at him. "What's wrong?" he asked.

Angrily, Skipper told him what happened, and his teammate listened in shocked silence. When Skipper had finished, the tall penguin looked like he made a huge effect to remain calm. Then he said quietly," You're not upset with Alex. It's the Youtubers you're mad at. You should apologize to her."

Reluctantly, Skipper agreed. He hated admitting when he was wrong, and while he's not wrong about the danger those humans could bring to his team, he shouldn't have gone off on his daughter like that. He resolved to apologize to her as soon as the zoo closes.

He itched to go down there now but he couldn't risk it again. Someone might see him and it was already bad enough that the Youtubers knew about their hidden HQ. So he had to stay topside and wait.

He tried to join his team as they entertained the humans, but the whole time, his mind was on Alex and as the day dragged on, he felt guiltier and guiltier about the way he treated his daughter.

Finally the sun started sinking in the sky and the bell on the clock tower went off, announcing the end of the day. As soon as the coast was clear, Skipper hurried to the hatch and opened it.

"I'm sorry," he blurted out as soon as his feet hit the floor. But the lair was empty, no sign of either of his daughters or the Youtubers. He waddled to the lab and poked his head in, but it was empty, too. He returned to the center of the main room, anger pulsing through him. His team joined him.

"Where did everyone go?" Private asked.

Skipper knew the answer and he had a very bad feeling. "Come on, boys," he growled.

Kowalski looked at him. "Where are we going?"

"To the park, and we need to hurry." Before Alex makes another mistake, he added silently, hoping it wasn't already too late.
