Sebastian just laughed instead of answering the other boy's question.
Meanwhile, Kurt cocked his head to the side. "And who are you?", he asked curiously.
"That's Sebastian, my ex", Blaine answered tonelessly, obviously not happy about his presence.
"Let me guess: He is a demon, just like you?", Kurt wanted to know while he eyed the other demon skeptically.
Sebastian applauded and smirked widely. "Your human toy-boy is smarter than he looks, sexy", he commented.
"What the hell are you even talking about?" Kurt had clenched his hands to fists, outraged.
Ignoring him, Sebastian asked the demon prince: "So you compelled that human so that you can turn him into your sex slave? Anderson, you sly, horny dog."
At that, Kurt threw him an utterly disgusted, horrified glance. "Are you sick or something? I'm not anybody's sex slave, especially not Blaine's."
"So you even taught your toy boy manners?" Sebastian looked at a pissed Kurt, a smug expression on his face.
"I'm not anybody's toy!", Kurt yelled with narrowed eyes. Even though Blaine was not the one who pissed him off, he needed to flinch because of his sharp tone. So he cleared his throat loudly to change the topic.
"What brings you to Lima, Seb?"
Sebastian turned to him and smiled charmingly. "You, babe. I want you back, more than anything."
"So that you can cheat on me again?" Yes, you just got that right, Sebastian was not notorious for his faithfulness- it was the opposite, actually. Blaine had lost the overview of the countless times his ex cheated on him, that was why he broke up so many times – just to reconcile after a couple of weeks.
That on-again, off-again relationship had been going on for more than two years now, mainly because of Sebastian's inability to be loyal. Yes, he was a demon, but that was slowly getting ridiculous. There were not many things Blaine expected his boyfriend to be, and being faithful was one of them. Catching his ex red-handed every other time was slowly getting annoying, and he had no idea how Sebastian could wrap him around his pinky finger and win him back, again and again.
Kurt stared at Blaine, confused. "You and that Meerkat over there were dating?"
The demon prince rubbed his neck sheepishly. "Yes, and I'm not that proud about it."
"Oh, come on, Blainers." Sebastian nudged him flirtatiously. "You totally have the hots for me, you know that, I know that, pretty much everyone knows that." He nodded to his car, a red Ferrari, and smirked naughtily. "Come on, let's get rid of that third wheel and hang out. Lima's lame, but if we are fast, we can take my jet and fly over to that cocktail party in Aspen." He winked at Blaine in a seductive way. "You always loved skiing, babe, and Colorado is so much more exciting than this lame place." He wrinkled his nose in distaste when he looked around.
Before Blaine could open his mouth, Kurt had already grabbed him by the elbow. "I'm sorry, Sebastian, but Blaine is busy. If we don't leave now, we are going to miss math classes."
Sebastian just snorted. "Blaine, since when do you attend classes? As far as I know, you compelled your private teacher because you were not in the mood for calculus."
Blaine just shrugged. "Well, Sebastian, things have changed." He wanted to turn on his heel and enter the school building with Kurt when Sebastian held him back with his arm.
"Can the two of us talk for a sec? In private?"
If Blaine really wanted to get rid of him, he needed to do that now. So he looked at Kurt and said: "You can go ahead, let's meet at the classroom, okay?"
Even though Kurt didn't look thrilled about that, he nodded slowly. "But don't take yourself too much time", he said sternly before he entered the building, leaving the two demons alone.
As soon as he was gone, Sebastian turned to him with his arms crossed. "And you allow that something like that gives you orders?" He cocked his eyebrows in disbelief. "Are you aware that you are a demon prince, Blaine? That you don't need to put up with his disrespectful behavior?" Interested, he crossed his arms. "What the hell is he even? He is no human, right?"
"Yup, he is a zombie", Blaine answered, ignoring Sebastian's surprised glance. "And I already told you, I want to learn how the humans live."
"By becoming a human yourself?" Disgusted, Sebastian wrinkled his nose. "We are demons, Blaine. We live for being cruel creatures, not for going to a lame school and learning algebra! When was even the last time you were mean and cruel to someone?"
Blaine tilted his head to the side. "Well…I don't really know…" It has been exactly three weeks since he came to Lima and since he had promised to himself to try being a better person. "I promised Kurt not to kill anyone."
When he said that, Sebastian's eyes almost popped out of their sockets. "You what?"
"I didn't kill for a while now. And you know what? I don't even miss it." He grabbed Sebastian by the shoulders, suddenly excited. "You know what that means, Seb? Us demons don't necessarily have to be evil if we don't want to. Yes, we are demons, but there can be good demons as well, right?"
At that, Sebastian broke into loud laughter. "That was the most ridiculous theory I have ever heard. Blaine, face it: We are born to be evil. So what do you want to do? Beg those ridiculous angels to accept you as one of their own? Get a halo?"
"But…"
"And have you lost your mind? Since when are you the lapdog of that Gay Face over there? I don't know much about zombies, but I'm sure you are more powerful than them. You should be the one ordering him around, not the other way round." He sighed deeply and shook his head. "That city is not doing you good, Blaine. Come home with me, back to Malibu."
Blaine shook his head fervently. "You don't seem to understand why I left California in the first place, Seb, do you? I need a time-out from all this. I'm sick and tired of my life. And Lima is the right place that helps me recharge my batteries. And if I'm not allowed to kill for that, I'm absolutely fine with that, okay?"
Sebastian stared at him, speechless. "I know you for five years now, and you never acted like that before, as if you were some kind of saint. You changed, Blaine. And I don't like it", he finally hissed.
Unimpressed, Blaine just looked back and crossed his arms. "Did I really change? Or didn't you just know me?" He turned around and pointed at the school building. "If you would excuse me, I have math classes now." With that, he walked to the stairs and closed the entrance door behind him.
Sebastian just looked after him, bewildered. "This isn't over yet, Blaine", he muttered, more to himself. "I won't give up until I brought you back to California."
…
After classes, Kurt sent Blaine a text to meet him at the bleachers of the sports field where Finn was training with his football team so that they all could pick him up from there and drive home with him.
So Blaine headed to the field, running across the deserted hallway of school. Kurt hated it whenever he was running late, so he needed to hurry up a little.
"Dude, wait!", someone behind him called out, and when Blaine halted in his tracks and turned around, he spotted a boy in a wheelchair. "Can we talk for a sec? You are Lucifer's son, right?"
Groaning, Blaine scratched his head. "And why are you mad at me? What did dad do to piss you off?"
The boy looked at him in confusion. "I have no idea what you are talking about. I'm Artie, by the way. I'm a seer."
"You can look in the future?" Interesting. The last seers have been seen centuries ago; seers were extremely rare. "And why did you want to talk to me?" He would look into that matter another time, but now, he needed to hurry.
Artie looked back to him, serious. "Something bad is going to happen. Now."
"To me?", Blaine asked.
At that, Artie shook his head slowly. "Not directly. But in my vision, I saw that zombie, I guess. And Finn, the quarterback. And another dude with emerald green eyes and that exaggerated smirk…"
"Sebastian? Oh no!" Blaine ruffled his hair frustratedly. He knew Sebastian; once that demon was pissed, he would wreak havoc, it was not unusual that lots of innocent people got hurt or even killed in the process. And according to the pissed face expression of Seb when he turned him down, he needed to be more than mad now. But where was that going to happen?
Wait…weren't they supposed to meat at the bleachers now?
"The bleachers! It's going to happen there, probably." Without thinking twice, Blaine turned on his heel, shouting "Thank you!" over his shoulder before he left the paralyzed seer behind.
…
Impatient, Kurt checked his watch while he sat on the bleachers. Blaine still didn't show, and Finn was already done dressing up and chatting Sam, Mike, and Puck, his best friends down on the field, the other jocks had already gone home. The cheerios were also done with their training, and Sue Sylvester had already left and dismissed the girls. Santana, Quinn, and Brittany went over to the boys so that Quinn could greet Finn with a kiss before leaving as well (Yup, Quinn and Finn were a couple again.)
Kurt smiled a bit when he saw how Santana and Sam were unable to look into each other's eyes. No wonder after what had happened a couple of weeks ago. He finally decided to come over to them and rolled his eyes when Quinn and Finn started making out. "Can't you keep it PG?", he hissed, annoyed.
The two of them pulled away from each other and looked down sheepishly. Finn pointed at the indoor toilets. "I will be back in a flash", he said when he hurried inside to pee.
"And better hurry, I want to go home!", Kurt shouted after him. As soon as he was out of their sight, he turned to Quinn, warningly raising his index finger. "I hope you are aware there will be consequences if you ever tell him about being a nymph."
Quinn rolled her eyes. "I'm aware, okay? I don't want him to find out myself."
"Good."
Santana threw him a questioning glance. "Why do you handle Frankenteen with child gloves, Lady Lips?"
Kurt threw her a killing glance at that. "For the hundredth time: I don't want his life to get more complicated than it already is."
Just at this moment, he saw that Rachel and Mercedes crossed the field.
Santana rolled her eyes. "What do you want here?"
"Yes, nice to see you too, Santana", Mercedes hissed, annoyed. "Rachel, Puck, and I are in the same group, we need to do a biology project together, sadly."
"We are only here to pick him up so that we can drive to the library and get this over with", Rachel added, not as thrilled about it either.
Puck groaned. "Can't we make out, instead?", he whined. "If you are in the mood for a threesome, I'm in."
At that, Rachel glared at him, and the water bottle he was holding in his hand splashed him with water, right in the face. He yelped loudly. "Okay, okay, I got it. No threesome, okay?" He grabbed his bag and waved at his friends. "See ya!"
Just when the trio was about to leave, someone else entered the field. "Well, look at that, if it isn't Gay Face and his pathetic entourage."
It was Sebastian who looked at them coldly.
Kurt turned to him and rolled his eyes. "What do you want, Sebastian? Blaine isn't here yet."
"I didn't want to talk to Blaine", Sebastian said icily "I wanted to talk to you."
"And why is that?" He really didn't have time for that.
Sebastian snorted. "I just want you to stay away from him."
"Forget it." Kurt crossed his arms angrily. "Blaine is something like my friend, and I don't think you have the right to forbid me to spend time with him."
The demon started laughing. "Alright, then. But don't tell me I didn't warn you." When he raised his hands, the ground suddenly started trembling, and Kurt needed to do everything to not fall down.
"What the hell?", Sam behind him called out.
When the trembling stopped, a dozen wolves that were covered in fire had come out of it and were growling dangerously. Sebastian whistled, and the wolves all lunged at the teenage monsters who were staring at the beastly attackers in shock.
"This is going to be fun", Sebastian muttered happily and rubbed his hands in anticipation.
