6.- Disco time!
Operations in the Serpent Rouge are now under Prague mafia control. The disco is no longer open to the public, so as to cut Bouchard's income sources. Ever since, the ghetto's been losing a bit of its life. Their livelier characters are all hiding in home, hoping that the Monstrum doesn't ring the bell of their doors. Meanwhile, the Czech guards are having the most boring time of their lives, waiting for some more Paris mafia or police bashing.
"Have you seen the newscasts?" a guard asks to another. "It's unbelievable how they confused Meister Eckhardt for a simple girl." The lights go out for a while, and then come back. Seemingly, everyone should be alert by now. But how to put it? "Those Paris policemen and mafia can't even wear drapers," the Czech guards usually joke. Then, the sound of a Desert Eagle is heard, yet the guards in the upper floors think that their men might be getting a bit bored on the lower floors. That is until the lights and music are turned on. "Not that infernal loop," says a Czech guard. "Take down the intruder!"
The guards are all at awe. Someone's shooting while taking cover in the amps they should have been placed on a corner according to boss Gunderson's commands. "Our boss's gonna kill us," says the Czech guard on the upper floor. But the intruder… "it just can't be? Is that the "news" Paris Monstrum?" asks the Czech guard. "But she's supposed to be a poor girl framed by Master Eckhardt." Yet, she's here killing them all with their own bloody guns. How is this even possible?
The woman is Lara Croft, an angel in denim jumping through fixtures and moving lighting rigs. She jumps as if she were dancing with that endless tune. And the guards… they are just no match. She's fought tougher than them, and the guards are only menacing if the opponent is afraid of the Cabal. But she just can't fear that; she's survived a pyramid collapse. And they all know this, because it invaded the news internationally for a whole year. Even worse, she is known on mafia stories for single-handedly taking down an entire Venice faction of the mafia. "There you are Pandora!" says Lara. "It's high time I return to the silent ghetto. I had enough party time."
"Meister Gunderson," says a man far away from the Serpent Rouge. "We have lost contact with the team at the Serpent Rouge." The bald man, towering, and dressed in a blue military gown, beats an old wall of a Paris palace. "Send some scouts to find out what happened," orders Gunderson. "Retrieve security tapes if necessary. Appropriate measures will be undertaken."
