Chapter 7: A Gryffindor's Revenge
The next morning came, and all of the Gryffindor first years headed together to the Great Hall.
The four Gryffindor first years, James, Sirius, Remus and Peter along with Severus, have stayed up late last night; sneaking out of their common rooms working on their brilliant revenge towards the blonde pureblood abomination called Lucius Malfoy.
So naturally, James, Sirius and Peter were now naturally wishing to have a nice sleep. Not that it mattered, their first class today was History of Magic, taught by the boring Professor Binns. They'd just sleep in that class.
Severus and Remus however didn't looked much different, probably because they were used to sleeping late at times. Still, they were planning to sleep in History, cause who likes to listen about Goblin Wars?
Even then, the five boys were intently looking towards the blonde pureblood, Gryffindors more intently then Severus, who was acting like he knew nothing about anything.
Suddenly a rainbow popped of Lucius and then Lucius, who dropped his glass of butterbear in surprise, was completely dressed in nothing but Gryffindor coloured clothes.
His long platinum blonde hair were now replaced with bright red locks, the green of his clothes changed to red and silver to gold.
And that wasn't even the best part.
The 5th year Slytherin prefect was now supporting a lion tail, whiskers and tail.
Everyone students (and a few teachers) burst out laughing, with an exception of a few Slytherins of course.
Severus Snape and Nathan Grey laughed the hardest, as they got the best view our of all of their friends.
At the staff table, the teachers also seemed to notice the chaos.
"Horace, looks like one of my lions got one of your snakes." Professor Minerva McGonagall spoke to her rival house head, who just smiled.
"A little bit of fun doesn't hurt anyone, Minerva." Spoke Professor Horace Slughorn cheerfully.
"No, but I will find out who did this, punishment shall be given to the guilty." Minerva spoke.
"Now don't be so harsh Minerva. It's just a harmless prank. And one has to say, the prank was an absolutely brilliant work of magic." Headmaster Albus Dumbledore spoke.
"You are too easy on students, Albus. The creativity might have been good, but execution wasn't." Minerva spoke.
"You may punish the student if you find them, Minerva." Albus spoke, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
"Oh I will, just you wait." Replied Minerva McGonagall.
At the Gryffindor table, the cheering was the loudest.
"Was that you guys?" Frank questioned.
"Along with Severus, yes. It was us." James grinned.
"I can't believe that was there in a library book." Sirius chimed in.
Mary took out a camera, clicking as many photographs from the distance as she could.
Lily, who was still laughing at the sight infront of us asked, "How long will it last?"
"24 hours." James answered proudly.
"A complete day of that brilliance? Oh my god, it feels like my birthday." Marlene laughed gleefully.
"Good service is our motto." Sirius spoke.
"Well the brewing was done by Severus. I just found the idea while Siri and Remus stole the ingredients." James spoke.
"And who knew Remus was so good at sneaking around, he saved me from being almost caught by Filch." Sirius commented.
Remus blushed at the praise. Well it wasn't exactly a praise, but coming from Sirius, it was.
"Well I guess I had a fair share of trouble making as a kid." He replied.
"You Gryffindorks! I know it's one of you who did it!" They heard the voice of Lucius proclaim.
"Then why don't you prove it tail-boy?" James challenged.
"I will prove it, you little cockroach. And then I'll make sure to have you and the bunch of your bloodtraitor friends expelled!" Lucius threatened.
"You know, it's kinda hard to take a threat seriously when you're looking like a character from a bad fantasy novel." Sirius commented, and immediately Lily started to think of him as a villain in a poorly written fantasy novel.
The big bad King Beast walked around the village adjusting his golden collar from the expensive robes, glaring at anyone who dared to look his way, scaring the poor children who had locked themselves inside with their mothers. The bright red of his hair reminded the locals of the blood he had spilled throughout the century, lion ears, tail and canines reminding them that he was their cruel, cruel king. The gold in his expensive robes reminding them of each penny he had stollen.
Lily chuckled at her own imagination, which luckily went unnoticed by the narcissistic pureblood.
Lucius gritted his teeth, angered and irritated, and exclaimed, "My father will hear about this!"
"Awe, would you look at that. Malfoy's going to go cry to his daddy." Sirius spoke, and everyone was laughing once again.
