NINJAGO HIGHSCHOOL: CHAPTER SEVEN: GAMING TRAINING

Lloyd was walking to Zane's house, after school. He would of went with Zane, but he had to dishes first, and didn't want to get his dad and mom mad at him. On the way he saw Nya and Jay on a walk, holding hands, which is just typical of them. "Are you two EVER away from each other?" He asked them, half joking. Sometimes Lloyd got tired of seeing Jay and Nya together. "Oh, sometimes, and it breaks my heart every time" Nya said in a sickly sweet tone. "Awww" Jay hugged Nya. Lloyd sat there for a few seconds before they got back to noticing him. "So what are you doing?" Jay asked. "I'm going to Zane's house. He's gonna train me to be good at video games." Nya looked a little confused. "Wait, why on Ninjago would you train to play games...Oh yeah, Kai told me about how you're trying to join the gamer club." Lloyd nodded. "Yeup, that's the plan. I admit I'm not good at games, but I want to try and join the club." "Kai told me it's because of a girllll" Nya said in a teasing manner." "Oh shut up" Lloyd groaned. "Kai doesn't know anything." "Uhh huhh" Nya said sarcastically. "Well stay safe, she seems like trouble." Jay said. "I don't think a girl who plays games is much trouble." Lloyd assured. "No, I mean, her family is one of the richest ones in Ninjago city! The Ninjago ROYAL FAMILY." Lloyd was a little stunned. He never saw Harumi as someone who could be in such a powerful family. "Really? Well, that's something I'll keep in mind I guess...I'm gonna get going, Zane is expecting me." Jay waved goodbye, and walked off with Nya. Lloyd turned around and thought a bit on his walk. What did Jay mean by "trouble"? The royal family never came to his mind before, so maybe there was something about them he didn't know...

The topic left his mind when he got to Zane's house. It was pretty normal looking, aside from all the tech looking stuff sticking out of it. Zane's dad was always out doing science and engineering stuff, and trusted Zane to not blow up the house, or whatever teens do while home alone. Zane opened the door, and welcomed Lloyd in. "Hello Lloyd, you are 2minutes late." "Yeah yeah, I was talking to Jay and Nya" Lloyd said. Zane, being a robot, was very precise about things. Hell, he didn't even NEED to go to school since he has and A+ in all his classes. He was only at school because he wanted Zane to socialize, and Wu let him do it. Garmadon knew better than to object, given it's little importance, and Wu being the true owner of the school. "Well, let's get to the training." Lloyd said, cracking his knuckles. As they were walking to the living room, Lloyd heard a robotic, female voice through a door. "Zane, who's here?" It yelled out. "It's just Lloyd Pixal, don't worry." Zane yelled back. He turned to Lloyd. "Pixal is just working on stuff in the garage. Lloyd nodded and headed to the couch. Zane went to the kitchen, and came back with a glass of water, that he made ice cubes into. "Thanks Zane." Lloyd took it and put it down on the table. "Alright Lloyd, what game are we trying to get you good at?" Lloyd put a hand on his chin. "Hmmm...well, I need to be good at a competitive game. I think Fortnite is one of the games the club plays." "Alright, let's get Fortnite set up." Zane got the Xbox on, loaded up Fortnite, and handed Lloyd a controller. "Don't worry Lloyd, you got this."

An hour passed. "Lloyd, you did not get that." Zane said, almost disappointed. Lloyd sighed. Watching Lloyd try to play Fortnite was one of the most painful things Zane has seen, next to seeing Pixal get hurt. "Lloyd, you couldn't even build a WALL fast." Lloyd put the controller down. "Well excuse me, I don't play these kind of games." "Do you even PLAY games Lloyd?" Zane asked. "Y-yeah, like Minecraft, and Stardew Valley...well, I don't PLAY them much, but still." Zane sighed. "Unless this club has a farming competition or build battles, those aren't going to help you. You need to play competitive games!" Lloyd got up and sighed. "Well I KNOW that Zane! But they just aren't my thing!" "Well why are you trying to join the gamer club?" "I don't even know man, I just wanted to join a club!" Both of them were silent for a bit. "I'm sorry for getting tilted Zane, this stuff is just a little crazy." Zane shrugged. "I agree. Logically you shouldn't even bother joining this gamer club." "I know Zane, it's just, I want to be a part of a group, and I don't know what other group I should join." Zane thought a bit. "Well, you should look into other clubs before the gamer club. Don't rush yourself to join something you don't want to join." Lloyd sighed. "You're right. I'll think about it. I'm gonna get going, see you." Lloyd went to the door and walked out.

Lloyd was at a cafe. He had the spare money to get some food, and it was close by. Not like his parents cared where he went right? Lloyd was just eating a sandwich and drinking tea, thinking about what happened earlier. Maybe Zane was right, joining the club was a mistake. Those thoughts went away when he heard a familiar voice say his name somewhere in the café. He looked up, and was kind of surprised.
