Chapter 7: Build Time
It finally came time, where Phineas and Ferb were going to build the time machine. They were excited to escape summer school and restart summer. They were finally going to be able to enjoy their summer again, with Isabella, Baljeet, and Buford. Building the time machine was not going to be hard, it was just going to be very loud and time consuming, and because of this the boys decided they needed a different place to build the time machine. They had a few ideas, however they decided to build it during night on the roof of the school, so no one could hear what they were doing. Finally, the night came, where Phineas decided that he was going to build it. At night, the five of them met up in Phineas' room. They then gathered all the materials and brought it up through the ceiling and on to the roof. They were now going to begin on constructing the actual machine.
This build would be the most challenging for Phineas and Ferb, as they had nothing constructed something so intricate and confusing. Lucky for them, they had the blueprints which made the entire constructing process much easier. As they begun, Phineas kept on requesting tools and materials from the other three. Annalise, Quentin, and Sophia just aided the brothers, as they constructed the actual time machine. As they continued the building process, the brothers were in complete concentration. If they messed up on one small thing, the time machine could malfunction sending them to a completely different time period. This machine was like nothing they had ever built before, and because of this, the brothers were very focused on accomplishing the task. Whatever the brothers said, the other three would listen, and help the brothers out.
After many hours, the sun had begun to rise. They had been working for an outstanding eight hours straight with no breaks. The group then decided to take a break and head back to their respective rooms, so they would not get in trouble. For the next day, the group had followed their regular schedule. They woke up, and attended summer school, just like any other ordinary day. At night however, they would team up, in hopes of building this time machine as quick as possible and busting out of summer school. For the next two days, the group of children worked all night on the time machine. They did not get any sleep for the past three days, as all they wanted to do was escape. Sleep was the last thing that came to their to heads. They continued on helping Phineas and Ferb build the time machine. Whatever the brothers needed, the other three kids would make sure that they got it. For some parts of the build, Sophia even stepped in and helped. Sophia was very similar to the brothers, as she was very creative and loved to build inventions, so she had lots of prior experience. Finally, after three grueling days of no sleep, the time machine was done.
The time machine was an outstanding six feet tall and towered over the children. In the middle of the time machine, there was a small capsule, in which the five children could sit. Right above the capsule was the magical orb. The orb was connected to a bunch of wires, and a control panel, where the boys would be able to put in the year they wanted to travel to. Lastly, the entire time machine was secured by a thick layer of work, which was then covered by a thick layer of metal. The time machine was ready to go, and now all that was left to do, was for the boys to sit on the time machine, an see if it worked.
