A/N: I wrote the last one-shot before reading the newest chapter of the manga….so I know it's kinda AU, but it's cute nonetheless.

I feel like no one really talks about this but….how the hell did Hagakure get into UA?

Anyways, enjoy!

OoOoOoO

It was chilly out.

Hagakure pulled her sweater tighter around herself, squinting in the noon sunlight from overhead. She and Ochako watched the boys tussle in the grass.

It had been Sero's idea. With a little creation help from Momo, the boys created a soccer field in the yard behind the dorm. All of the yelling, mostly from Bakugo (who had been very adamant 20 minutes ago about not wanting to play) had drawn the girls outside to watch them.

No quirks, just good old fashioned unsportsmanlike conduct and the occasional yelling for a referee that didn't exist. Eventually it caught on that Tsuyu knew a little something about soccer, so she reluctantly took the job of keeping the boys playing fair.

"Here you go." Momo handed her a mug of tea, which Hagakure accepted with a soft thanks and a dip of her invisible head.

"Those boys and their egos." Mina commented, although she was just as transfixed on the game as the others.

"Wait till next week and it'll get worse."

The girls threw Ochako a confused look.

"Did you guys forget?" She giggled. "Next Wednesday is Valentine's."

There was a jerk of silence amongst the girls.

"YOU BASTARD THAT WASN'T FAIR-"

"I totally forgot." Momo sat, a far off look on her face. Bakugo and Kaminari glared daggers at each other from center field.

"So did I." Hagakure sighed. "So are you going to do anything?"

Ochako blushed furiously and they all knew her answer. Otherwise, there wasn't really an inclination for all of them to give the boys chocolate. Jirou would no-doubt get Kaminari something. Knowing Momo, she would get all the boys chocolate as a token of appreciation or something just because she was nice like that.

"What's all this?" On days off, they usually didn't see Aizawa. He'd be holed up in his apartment with grading or just sleeping away the day. It was rare for him to come downstairs, especially when not in costume.

"Sero challenged the boys to a round of soccer last night at dinner." Hagakure peered up at him.

"Ugh-" Aizawa scratched his head. "I wondered what the yelling was about."

Surprisingly, he remained, watching for a moment. Tokoyami made a goal and he raised an eyebrow.

Hagakure thought back to their conversation, and the chocolate, and suddenly got a stupid idea.

Valentine's day was a strange sort of chaos at UA. The whole school was abuzz. As Hagakure got to the classroom, she was relieved to find it relatively quiet.

All through homeroom, she was jittery. Her leg bounced in her seat, her gaze flickering back and forth between the podium and her bag. It was the one time she was grateful for being invisible-no one could see her anxiety.

When Aizawa was finished, he departed, leaving a few precious minutes of free time before Mic showed up.

Now.

She grabbed her bag and went racing out of the room, much to the surprise of her classmates. One or two called her name, but she was already out the door.

"Mr. Aizawa!" They were alone in the hall. She suddenly felt the heat rising up the back of her neck.

"You should be in class."

"I know, I just-" She reached in her bag and pulled it out- a small bag of chocolate. "I wanted to say thank you. For everything-"

Her face wasn't betraying her, but her voice sure was. He was right-she should be in class. But since their conversation on the porch about Valentine's, she realized they really didn't show him gratitude much.

"You've done a lot for us, and I realized that you don't get enough credit. So-" She held out the bag.

For a moment, he just looked at her impassively, and she wondered if she had stepped over the line. Silence hung in the air.

He took a few steps toward her. Hagakure braced herself for a lecture.

But it never came.

"Thank you." He patted her on the head gently. "I appreciate it."

His cold hands took the bag from her, and he offered the slightest of smiles, a genuine one.

"Go, before you're late."

She nodded, noting Mic turning down the hall towards her classroom. Hagakure spun on her heels and jogged back to the room just as he got to the door.
