There are times when we all need to escape from the troubles of the world. Afterall, we are human. But problems arise when we use escapism as a means of running away from our problems.
-back at the infirmary-
Hildreck stands at the doors entrance. He trembles in fear, scared to face his sister.
He talks to himself. "Ahhh! Cmon Messiah! You... You got this!"
He opens the door as he looks at his almost identical sister. Long pink hair, a sharp chin with slanted pink eyes. He sits down beside his sister and looks at her face.
"I... I don't know where to start. I haven't been this close to you in a long time... Five years ago. Every time I look at you... It reminds me of what I did to you. It reminds me of my sins. And worst of all... You remind me of mom. You look so much like mom now Luminaire. Maybe that's why I couldn't face you... you remind me of what I did to mom. I know I have to stop running away from everything that hurts me. So... I'll start doing that now."
He puts a hand on his sisters' cheek and caresses it. "I... have to stop pretending that hate you. I don't. Lumi-Chan... I love you. You make my heart whole. You give me ambition. You give me hope. Maybe that's why I've been feeling so alone. Because I haven't been with you."
Hildreck kisses his sister on the forehead. "So please... wake up one day so I can see your smile."
Whispers can be heard coming from the door.
"Oh my... I didn't know he was such a romantic." one of the voice whispers.
"Shut up! He'll hear us dumbass."
"This doesn't seem ethical. I suggest we retreat immediately."
A vein becomes visible on Hilldreck's forehead as he blushes in slight embarrassment.
As he turns around the top of three heads can be seen hiding behind the door. "So... YOU GUYS WERE PEAKING AFTER ALL!"
Messiah stomps towards the door as they attempt to run away. But in the process, they trip over each other. As he gets closer, they tremble in slight fear awaiting their punishment. But instead of dishing out punishment he reaches out a helping hand.
His expression of frustration turns into a warm smile. "Quinn... Nana... Thank you both... For being there for me. I don't know where I'd be without you two. I'm now able to face my past thanks to you two."
Quinn surprisingly loses his calm composure. "Oh, uhm... Y- Yeah, don't mention it... Literally."
Nana smiles. "Yeah, I'll always be there for you Hildreck."
Kaitana's jaw drops to the ground. "I'm... I'm not dreaming right? She DID say that... RIGHT?!"
She blushes slightly as she realizes what she just said. "A- Anywaaays... Let's take some time to relax. We need it. Don't we captain?"
Capitan thinks to herself. "Eh, I don't see why not. TO THE LOUNGE!"
"Aye Captain!" Hildreck yells as he marches right behind Kaitana.
"They're... Idiots." Quinn says.
"Ugh, tell me about it... Well, they're our idiots." Nana says with a slight smile.
"I... wouldn't have it any other way though."
-at the lounge-
The group of four open the door to the lounge. Which reveals a very large room fitted with a couch, food stand, tables, refrigerator and a tv. Kaitana, Nana and Hildreck all stand in awe as they gawk at the design of the room.
Quinn smirks. "Hm... Impressive right? Now is a wonderful time for all of us to mingle with the other units. Let's head o-"
Kaitana runs over to the couch. "I CALL THE MIDDLE SEAT!"
"Took the words right out of my mouth... To the couch we go!" Quinn says.
Hildreck walks over to the snack bar. "I'll be getting something to eat. Go on, I'll be there."
Quinn nods as he walks over towards the couch with Nana and Captain Kaitana.
-at the food court-
The young assassin gawks at all the food available. "Oh... My... God... THEY HAVE FUCKING LASAGNA! Lasagna... That's Luminaire's favorite... I can't wait for you to wake up so we can explore this world together. I want you can meet my friends. I... I won't let go of them. I will protect them till my dying breath."
He takes the entire serving of lasagna and a LOT of parmesan cheese. But before he can even walk away with it. It's smacked to the ground by a man wearing a very expensive overcoat with skinny jeans. Backed by a squad of 4 that are wearing the exact same thing. The young man has piercings on his eyebrows and ears with silver hair that comes to his shoulders.
"Ha! Looks like ya dropped somethin dumbass." He says.
Hildreck keeps his composure as a look of disappointment creeps over his face. "Hey man! What's the big idea! I'm... I'm a hungry man you know..."
"Didn't ask... Never cared." He snickers.
His hive minded group obnoxiously laughs in unison. Hildreck begins to pick up the lasagna from the floor.
"Awe, look at him! He must really like that shitty food."
"You said it captain Lionel!"
"He's like a fucking dog"
"You can say that again."
*SMACK*
The narcissist smacks the food back onto the ground. Hildreck once again starts to pick it up. The leader whose name is Lionel crouches to get eye level with the pink haired man.
"Listen... Squad Zero runs this damn port. So ya know what that means? It means that we sit wherever we want. We talk shit to whoever want and we do whatever the hell we want! It's best you drill that into your tiny brain now!" Lionel says as he stomps on the food.
Squad Zero walks away from Hildreck.
-At the couch-
Kaitana flies onto the couch as she smiles. "WOOHOO! I haven't felt the luxurious love of a couch in soooo long!"
"We have the best of the best here at Port Carter." Quinn says.
Nana sits down on the couch. "Oh my... I can feel the couch cuddling my a-"
"Please! Don't finish that sentence... I want to keep my mind pure." Quinn says as he sits down on the couch.
They all sit down as they begin to enjoy the comfiness of the couch. Nana is sitting like a rogue as she man spreads. Quinn is almost the polar opposite. Sitting straight and refined. While Kaitana is already... fast asleep. But only ten minutes later their time of peace is interrupted by a familiar looking man.
"Oh great... Squad Zero is here" Quinn says as he wakes up Kaitana.
Squad Zero approaches the group of three.
Lionel walks up to Kaitana. "Well look at what we got here! I'm surprised they let you be captain again! From what I heard... Your whole port was obliterated by a SINGLE Aragami! Hilarious! And here you are... What is this a comedy skit?"
His squad laughs in unison once again.
Kaitana clenches her fist. "You're... You're wrong! I'll kick your ass!"
"I'm just speaking the truth lass. Don't get mad at me cuz I'm right! Now get the hell up off of our seats." Lionel demands.
The words paralyze Kaitana as she begins to feel guilty for everyone's death.
Quinn stands up. "Stop th-"
"And don't you dare do anything daddy's boy! You're nothing but a shadow of your father!"-he points at Nana- "And you shut the hell up too. Pin her down boys!"
Quinn sits back down.
Four men walk up to Nana as they begin to surround her.
She shifts into a fighting. "Back the hell up! I'll start swingin if I hafta!"
The men inch closer and closer to Nana as her expression slowly turns into one of stress.
*BAM*
Hildreck's fist collides with one of Lionel's lackies. The sound of a heavy punch echoes throughout the room.
He keeps his composure as he walks straight towards Lionel. "Leave them alone bastard."
Lionel (the taller man) looks over Hildreck's head. "Well, if it isn't the lasagna boy! The hell brought ya back here?"
Hildreck looks up to him and stares directly into his eyes. "I said leave them alone"
"And why Shou-"
*ZIP*
Hildreck grabs him by the collar and forces him to eye level. "Look at me when I'm talking to you. It's not polite to look away when a god is talking to you."
His lackies begin to surround Messiah. He slowly turns his head and stares at them individually.
"I kill people for a living... I'll hang all of your fucking heads up in my room like a trophy. I suggest you back the hell up." He says with a blank face.
He brings his gaze back to Lionel. "People like you really piss me off... You surround yourself with riches and scare people into liking you. This coat you have on means nothing to me. Your heart is empty. You're worthless compared to me understand? The fact that you're eye level with me makes me want to scalp you. You're... You're not a man... You're an empty, ugly, hollow shell of a man. Nothing about you is special. You're just a sack a shit. Ya know that? You pick on people weaker than you because you're too much of a pussy to talk shit to a real man like me."
*SLAP*
Lionel slaps Hildreck. But he doesn't flinch... not even a little bit.
He looks Lionel directly into his eyes once again. "You don't scare me one bit."
*SPIT*
Messiah spits on Lionel's face. "I'm the fucking alpha here. And you're my bitch now. Put your hands on me or my friends again and I'll kill you."
He finally let's go of the narcissists collar. "Understood? Great! Now get the hell out of here."
Lionel and his squad run away on Hildreck's command. As soon as they leave, he busts out in maniacal laughter, screaming to himself like a madman.
Kaitana whispers to Nana and Quinn. "Please... Remind me not to piss him off."
Quinn and Nana nod in unison.
Messiah rolls on the floor in laughter. "HAHAHA! Did you guys see that? I punked the shit outta them! Ahh... I love when they look up at me with a face of sheer terror! I love it!"
"To hell with that! Quinn! You're such a pussy... Why didn't you stand up and fight back?" Nana says as she scolds them.
Quinn shrugs his shoulders in slight disappointment. "I... Don't know... What they said just made me freeze up."
Kaitana Nods in agreement.
"But anyways..." -she pulls out a bottle of wine and multiple six packs of beer- "It's time to unwind... AND GET SHIT FACE DRUNK!"
"WOOHOO! As captain of this squad... I declare this a mandatory mission!" Kaitana seconds.
"OH HELL NO! What if father finds out?" Quinn questions.
Nana wraps an arm around Quinn's shoulder. "Hey..." *BURP* "Now listen here bud... Life is TOO... Damn sh-" *HICCUP* "Fo ya to be bitchin bout the small shit. Cmon now daddy's boy... Take a sip."
Quinn takes a can. "F- Fine! But Hildreck has to drink so-"
"HELL YEAH!" *SPANK* "GIDDIE UP HORSY!" Kaitana yells out while riding on Hildreck's back.
His face winces in a mix of pain and pleasure. "Yes mommy! Spank me harder!"
He begins to literally walk in circles on the wall as Quinn is impressed and confused at the same time.
Nana forces a can of beer down his throat. "WHAT THE" *COUGH* "hell?"
Everything begins to slow down for Quinn as he passes out. He awakes only a few seconds later as Hildreck appears in front of him. Lustfully gazing into Quinn's eyes.
He caresses Quinn's cheek. "Hey there handsome... Wanna have some fun?"
Nana and Kaitana immediately stop their activities to catch a glance at the mystical scene.
Hildreck takes his jacket off as Quinn begins to unbutton his shirt. He leaves it half open as they both show of their slim, yet muscular physique. Sweat slowly begins to drip off of their chest as they gaze deeply into each other's eyes.
Kaitana's eyes widen. "Oh my god... They're so" *HICCUP* "fucking hot together."
Nana nods as blood drips from her nose.
Quinn runs his fingers down Messiah's chest. "Only if you'll be my alpha..."
The pink haired man grabs Quinn by the neck as he slowly brings him in for a kiss.
Kaitana begins to jump around like a fan girl. "OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! THIS...! This is the yaoi I've been looking for!"
Nana takes out a camera has her nose bleed worsens.
Their lips get closer and closer as they can feel the steam from each other's breath. They lock eyes intimately... edging closer and closer together.
The girls squeal as they both faint from the overwhelming excitement. Quinn pulls away as they both give a simultaneous middle finger to the ladies.
"Fuck both of you..." They both say in unison.
Quinn applauds Hildreck. "Well done my friend. Didn't think you were THAT a good actor."
"Oh yeah! Hahaha, acting... right." He whispers to himself.
"Now help me with these two... If they ask, just say it was a dream." Quinn says with a monotone voice.
Hildreck rushes over to pick Nana up. "R- Right, gotcha!"
They both drop the ladies off in their respective rooms. After a few minutes, Quinn and Hildreck meet up once again.
Messiah gives a friendly punch to Quinn. "Hey... thanks for giving me that little push back there. I really needed it."
"Don't worry about it. That's what friends are for, right?" Quinn says with a smirk.
"Wait! Let's make a cool ass handshake!" Hildreck enthusiastically demands.
"You know what? You make a valid point. You're like... a brother to me after all." They begin to try out different combinations for a handshake.
After deciding on a handshake, they say their goodbyes and part ways.
