A/N: I felt like this needed to be said, so here it is - The fighters are split into five houses, depending on what Smash era they were from. These houses are split from 64 to Ultimate. As a result, you will find that all fighters are living together.
As days went by, Ponny felt more welcomed to the family than she had wanted, mainly through friendly interactions when being directly cared for.
As Mario and the rest of his team were busy helping her with carrying her fork and teaching her how to eat properly, everyone went about their usual lunchtime while the majority of the fighters from the Brawl House were... not having it.
Captain Falcon, Ike, and King Dedede were angrily staring at the Primid while absentmindedly pouring an entire bottle of Screw-attack Soda into their glasses.
Their angry eyes were heavy set as they were directed towards Ponny, who was oblivious to their provoked reactions.
However, Ike's cup overflowed and proceeded to dab a napkin into the mess. Simply watching Ponny being coddled and pampered by these supposed "Smash leaders" was enough to set the Brawl members off, to where the swordfighter rose from his chair to scream.
Every fighter from the 64-Ultimate era all turned their heads to witness Ike snap, and were scared of what might happen next. "Okay!! We need to talk!!!" He barked, directly at Mario.
The red plumber shot his face to Ike, who stood from his seat in an imposing posture. He stared at the swordfighter, his face blank.
"Alright," he answered.
"In private." Ike's voice was stern as he was. Everyone looked over to him in curiosity, wondering what he might do.
Mario gently set down Ponny's fork and left Luigi in charge of caring for the Primid.
"I have to go talk to Ike about something. Take care of the girl while I'm gone, okay, brother?" He asked, patting Luigi on the shoulder.
The green plumber nodded and proceeded to aid Ponny in her lunch.
Ike was forcefully yanking Mario's hand while leading him to the halls, were no one as present. The red plumber looked at Ike with a confused expression and was about to speak, but was cut off rapidly.
"This is about that... Primid," the swordfighting Hero hissed angrily. Mario's face contorted into disbelief and sighed dejectedly.
"You're not still mad about me bringing home Ponny, are you?"
"I don't see why that was even a good idea in the first place, Mario! You know what happened last time we came across one of those!?" The red plumber gently took off his cap to reveal locks of brown hair, only to grow evermore angrier at this sudden reminder.
"What's in the past is in the past, Ike," he growled, "but you still choose to hold a grudge?"
This sudden reply struck itself into the swordfighter's ears as his eyes sparked a vicious retaliation. His voice became loud enough for everyone in the dining room to hear, but took no notice of.
"What they did to us was horrifying, and you know it!" He snapped, drawing out his sword from the sheath.
"I don't trust a single one of those things! They only live to destroy, kill, and tear away. Never forget that, red!" Soon enough, the conflict died down, resulting in Ike returning to the dining room.
The red plumber followed in after him, shrugging off any feel he had after that little argument.
As soon as they had returned, some of the fighters were finishing up on their meals while Ponny worked away at being spoon fed. Mario took his place again next to the Mushroom team and shifted his gaze towards the Primid, avoiding eye contact with Ike as soon as possible.
"So what did you guys talk about?" Peach asked curiously, taking Ponny's plate and heading to the sink.
Mario twitched nervously and chuckled a bit. "Just some... issues with training. That's all."
Ponny began to ponder at that sudden reply. For the entirety of this evening, the fighters of the Brawl House have shown nothing but signs of hostility towards her, complete with jeers, hurtful comments, and name-calling.
That doesn't seem like training issues the small Primid thought to herself questioningly. Wait... could it be about me...?
Ponny started rocking herself nervously, as well as swinging her legs back and forth under the table. As the fighters dispersed from the dining room, the Primid saw Mario head for the bathroom.
Upon walking down the halls to her bedroom, Ponny took notice of someone taping a note on her door.
With further inspection, she noticed that it was Snake who was placing something on it. What might've looked like a simple sign of harassment was merely impossible to forget, because as soon as Ponny came close, Snake dashed off.
Looking over to her bedroom door, the piece of paper that was taped onto it hurt her soul internally - it was insulting, to say the least.
It read "Go back to the emissary, Primid!!" in bold words, with the Brawl signature on the bottom right corner of the note. These words were unmistakable.
They were directed at her, since she was so shunned for what she is.
Ponny hugged her Eevee plushie tightly as she opened the door abruptly and proceeded to jump onto her bed, crying.
The Primid had already endured so much from her time here - the constant stares, backlash, derogatory comments, and even more insults thrown her way.
Sitting upright on her bed, the Primid turned her head to see Game and Watch checking up on her. The 2D fighter started beeping, indicating something is wrong.
"beepo," he said, his speech somehow being understood.
Ponny simply shooed her hand, implying that nothing happened. That was a lie, however, since Game and Watch was carrying a pillow. "Beep beep," he replied, creating a brightly lit smile.
The small Primid nodded her head and began to lay down with Mrs. snugglefuss resting peacefully in the crook of her arms.
The 2D fighter scooted in next to Ponny and comforted her, still clutching onto the pillow. "Bop beep beep," he said, which could possibly mean, "no one here is meant to hurt you. They just need to see the inside of you and not the outside."
As the night endlessly drifted, Game and Watch fell asleep first.
Before winding down, Ponny stared at him with soft eyes and thought thank you, Watch. She happily hugged Mrs. snugglefuss and closed her eyes.
