Naruto: Journey Through the Feudal Era

Misconceptions

Inuyasha's group went to another village and Kagome was tasked by its elder to ask Naruto for a scroll. One of the men with an ugly, big nose told them to meet her outside of cave tonight.

She did so alone but the man along with his two companions dropped the bombshell on her by telling her that Naruto doesn't know she is here and he isn't coming and that she'll be useful for ransom.

That is until two lightning blasts knocked them out and Kagome saw the man in question was none other than Naruto himself holding his Basculus.

"You impossible fool." Naruto slowly reprimanded. "What makes you think I'd meet you here of all places? At least your gullibility served some purpose. Those men that attacked you are monks."

Kagome said. "I was only here for a scroll."

Naruto raised an eyebrow and retorted. "Turns out your elders have not been entirely honest with you. Do you seriously think they'd send you here for a scroll? No, they sent you to spy on me. They're jealous because I have power and I use it for the good of all mankind, unlike them using smoke flashes and mirrors to conjure their false spells to fool their peoples."

Kagome nodded and said. "Go on."

Naruto crossed his arms and demanded. "Tell your elders that the next time they want something from me, they go themselves and not send someone under false pretenses."

Kagome meekly answered, chastised. "I'm sorry. I didn't know."

Naruto nodded in understanding. "Yes, I understand now. I regret that your elder has involved you this way. At least you've survived...for now. Perhaps in the future, you can be trusted with more certain delicate matters. Now I suggest you go back to your group."

The two parted ways and Kagome confronted the elder who'd given her this task and he confessed that he gave false information to Kagome since he was concerned about a group of fanatic monks who wished to exterminate demons believed that Naruto was one and that sending a higher ranking person might provoke a reaction from him and making it harder to flush out the fanatics. Thankfully he is not a demon and apologized for sending her in harms way.

(With Naruto)

Naruto and Kikyo continued traveling down the road where Naruto asked out of the blue. "May I ask what's about that rosary on Inuyasha's neck?"

Kikyo replied. "I made it to prevent him from unleashing his demonic power on innocent lives. It turns out it's also used to subdue him by saying sit in order to plummet him to the ground, leaving a large crater."

Naruto stopped walking and turned to Kikyo with a serious look. "Seems like a dog kept on his leash. Next time we encounter Inuyasha and his group, you are to remove the rosary from his neck."

Kikyo looked surprised and tried to protest his decision. "But my Lord...Inuyasha might..."

Naruto held up a hand to stop her. "Be silent Kikyo before you say too much. Gods like me or mine don't like to be refused more than once."

Kikyo conceded. "I'm certain that you are right, my Lord."

They crossed paths with Inuyasha and his group again and Kikyo wasted no time in obeying her lord's command and removing the rosary out of Inuyasha much to her reincarnation's shock.

"Now that we've gotten out of the way, I believe that I have a task for you guys. Kikyo and I have discovered the location of one Tsubaki who is making her own demons to combat Naraku. She succeeded but Naraku destroyed her entire army and fall back before she could deal with him. I offered her in my service but she refused and she basically declared war on me and Kikyo. I ask that you eliminate her so that Kikyo and I can move safely." Naruto said without preamble.

Shippo asked. "What reward can we expect?"

Naruto groaned and said. "Surely the gratitude of a god is not enough for you? I'll make any kind of item you wish should you succeed." He grumbled under his breath. "Spoiled kids. Their parents clearly coddling them too much."

Kagome answered. "We accept."

Thanks to the information Naruto had provided for them, they found Tsubaki and defeated her with great difficulty. It did result in two of the members being injured though.

Kagome declared to the god when they met again. "We defeated Tsubaki."

Naruto happily replied. "Excellent work. Now tell me what you wish. Within reason of course."

"I'd like some medicine for my companions for their injuries." Kagome answered.

Naruto slammed the foot of his Basculus and his free hand opened from the cassock, revealing useful remedies.

Kagome took them and thanked him.

Sango asked. "If you don't mind another favor, my Lord. Can you travel with us a little longer?"

Naruto nodded. "Of course, we could use the company."

While resting under a tree, Kagome inquired. "Lord Naruto, why'd you order Kikyo to remove the rosary from Inuyasha? Surely he needs to be humbled and controlled like the dog he is."

To her surprise, Naruto snapped. "I don't need things like humbling or controlling! Those words rubbed me in the wrong way! You are to accept Inuyasha for who he is and scold him if he acts rash but under no circumstances are you to place another one of those rosaries on him again!"

Kikyo was stunned that a god can curse and it's directed at her reincarnation who replied to appease his anger. "Of course, my Lord. I'm here for Inuyasha and I'm not going to leave him."

"I'll hold you to that."

The two wounded companions: revealed to be Inuyasha and Miroku were healed by the remedies provided by Naruto and used by Sango.
