The next morning at Amity's house, she had just come downstairs for breakfast and was already happy, that is until she walked into the kitchen.
"Morn...ing," said Amity as she noticed her parents standing with angered expressions and her siblings sitting at the table with meek ones.
"What happened?" asked Amity, her happiness being washed away by the worry that overcame her thanks to this.
"We got a letter from someone saying you have been hanging out with that human girl and her friends," said Mrs. Blight.
"And one of those friends is that Willow girl, I thought we told you not to be friends with her anymore," said Mr. Blight.
"I can make my own friends and don't need you to say who I can hang out with, and Luz is not just a friend, she's my girlfriend," said Amity which surprised everyone.
"You actually confessed to her?" asked Ed and Em who jumped from their seats.
"I did, and I'm going to be late for school if I don't leave now," said Amity.
"We're not done here young lady, and how dare you date that disgusting human!" said Mrs. Blight who was furious by the disrespect that her daughter had shown her.
"You may not be finished but I am, and Luz is the hardest working person I have ever known so don't you dare call her that again unless you want to end up in the hospital," said Amity as she glared at her mother.
"Also, as far as I'm concerned, I only have siblings now," said Amity. With this she headed out the front door without looking back.
"Mittens, wait up!" said Em as she and Ed ran after her with big grins on their faces. They had also grabbed some fruit from the table to take for their breakfast.
"I can't believe the three of them, have we not given them everything they could ever need?" asked Mr. Blight as he stood there with a stunned expression.
"This is all that stupid human's fault; but, I'll put an end to it," said Mrs. Blight who was standing there fully enraged by the treatment she had been given by her children and was out for blood.
