[Team Rocket headquarters]

A menacing silhouette strolled down the darkened hallway, almost as if his presence alone consumed all the light, until there was nothing but darkness. He stopped as his knuckle tapped twice against the heartwood door.

"Come in" A deep voice on the other side replied. The silhouette entered, pinching down his fedora hat as if greeting the man before him. "Did you bring what I requested?" The man, dressed in orange said as he leaned forward in his chair.

The dark hooded figure reached inside his pocket, pulling out a well-developed polaroid photo. "I did mister Giovanni." He said while offering it to the man.

The now named Giovanni took hold of the photograph. Carefully studying the creature displayed on it in silence.

His hand began to quiver, gradually folding into a fist before slamming against the desk. "How did this happen! How did they managed to create a clone of mew? Did they found data on the project that was presumed to be destroyed in the explosion? And where did they get the DNA? Most importantly WHO created this clone?!" He rambled on in fury.

Giovanni had ordered the creation of Mewtwo, his perfect weapon for team Rocket. The mere thought that someone did the same was troublesome to say the least. He felt like the creation of this new clone was a direct threat to Team Rocket, to him personally.

He leaned back, intertwining his fingers as he turned towards the massive window. Gazing across the glistering city buildings.

"Nyarr..." Persian purred as it stroked past his leg in a comforting way.

"We must get our hands on this... Second mewtwo, or should I say 'Mewthree' before whoever created it does." Giovanni said while he turned towards the dark figure. His cold eyes gleaming in the light as a sly grin formed on his face. "Yes, with one mewtwo, team Rocket is unstoppable. With two..." Giovanni chuckled at the idea. He could already see it unfolding before his eyes. With that much power, no one would be able to stop him.

Giovanni carefully placed the polaroid photograph against his monitor. Right next to the screen displaying a blurred picture of Mewtwo.

[Cerulean cave]

Rays of golden light sneaked through the thin ceiling cracks. Its swirling glow danced beneath the shallow river bed of Prussian-blue. The water discolored by dirt, mud and stones. In between the lose pebbles, shards of luminous cyan peeked through like fireflies sleeping underneath a thick layer of mountain crystal.

Mewtwo stared into the water. His rippled reflection stared back. In his mind, there was no doubt. There was another clone. Another just like him. He wasn't quite sure how to feel about this. In a way, he felt relieved. Yet, at the same time, his blood boiled with anger.

Mewtwo gritted his teeth. If 'he' found out about this... No, knowing 'him' he already knows. No matter how much Mewtwo despised Giovanni, the man was no fool. If Giovanni were to get his greedy hands on her... The thought was repulsive to say the least.

For now, this new clone... This new mewtwo was safe. But he knew all too well, that it was only a matter of time. He had to warn her, if only to keep Giovanni from finding her.

[Back to Eve, Ryan and Kirlia.]

Eve closed her eyes as the icy water touched her lips. She swallowed, letting the sweet cold liquid slide down her warm throat. There was nothing like a refreshing drink of water to make one ready for the day! She looked up, glancing past the lake, shimmering in a golden hue like it was kissed by the sun.

Her fur looked a bit ruffled, as if she woke up with a really bad hair day. Maybe I should find something to comb it? She thought while pinching a lock of fine lavender fur. If the water wasn't so cold, she might even have considered swimming in it. It was warm enough outside, but thanks to the cold night, taking a morning dip was like diving into liquid ice... Definitely out of the question.

Eve let out a soft sigh as she sat down next to an old tree stump, trying to give her tired legs a good stretch. She could off course just fly like usual... but then her legs would eventually shrivel up from the lack of movement. She was lazy... But not 'that' lazy.

She took a deep breath as the relaxing moist scent of moss penetrated her senses. Beside her, a small ball of lemon spiked fur, no larger than a cranberry moved its way across a thin line of semi-transparent silk. It kind of looked like a fluffed-up spider, though an unusually cute one. Back home she had a specific hate for anything arachnid. Her dad used to come to the rescue whenever one got in her room... It was strange that she no longer felt any discomfort or fear towards the idea of a spider.

Her cheeks curled into a soft smile as she saw Kirlia sleeping soundly within her bag. The small human-like pokémon turned around, occasionally mumbling to herself.

While Eve chuckled at the sight, Ryan groaned in irritation. "Why is she still with us? We could have just left her at the Pokémon Center..." He whispered loud enough for Eve to hear.

Eve looked down on the electric mouse with a glare so sharp, that if a glare could kill, Ryan would have dropped on the spot. "Ryan, stop saying we should leave Kirlia. We can't just leave a small child all on her own!"

Ryan snarked. "Small child! Don't be ridiculous. In case you haven't noticed, Kirlia is much older than you."

"What! Older than me? Ha, you are the one who is being ridiculous. How could you even know that anyway?"

Ryan let out a sigh. "Kid, it really isn't that difficult for a pokémon to guess the age of another pokémon. Did your parent not teach you anything."

Eve narrowed her eyes as her tail swept back and forth across the dry ground, sending a stream of fine sand through the air. "Oh really?! Then tell me, how old is she? How do you even know how old I am? I don't remember ever telling you."

Ryan warped a taunting glare, smirking as he said. "Well, I'm not sure exactly, but my guess would be around 25."

Eve's mouth almost dropped, but she quickly managed to keep up a poker-face, though not a very good one. "25... Ha, don't make me laugh. How could you think she's 25, I mean, look at her! Clearly you're mistaken."

Ryan shook his head as he preached. "Kid, you should never judge a pokémon by its appearance. That's a thing humans usually do. And we aren't humans. I mean, look at you for example. A human wouldn't be able to guess that you're only 10 yea—."

"I'm 13!" Eve snapped.

"Well, it was close enough." Ryan continued.

Eve jumped upright as her tail swept furiously out of control. Her face now almost resembling a tomato as she puffed her cheeks. "Well, how do you even know! Maybe instead of judging, you should ask Kirlia herself!" She hissed.

Ryan took a step back. "Okay kid, no need to be so angry about it!"

"I'm not ANGRY!!" Eve screamed as her eyes burned with a blue glow. Immediately causing the ground to tremble beneath their feet. All pokémon nearby looked up from the commotion, fleeing as their eyes fell on Eve.

Ryan flinched and held up his paws in a comforting gesture. "Hold on kid, sorry I went too far. I didn't mean to make you so upset. Now please... Calm down." He had known ever since the first time they met, that Eve was no run of the mill pokémon. The amount of psychic energy flaring from her body was no joke. He had to calm her down before she hurts someone, or worse, herself.

Eve shook like she just awoke from a bad dream. Her eyes widening in terror. "I... I'm sorry Ryan. I don't know what came over me." She stuttered while looking down in shame. "Sorry, I just have a lot on my mind lately. I didn't mean to take it out on you like that."

Ryan exhaled as his face riddled with worry. "Kid if you want to talk about it than—."

"No, it's okay." Eve quickly interrupted. She didn't want to talk about it yet. She doubted that Ryan would believe her anyway. Hey Ryan, guess what. I'm actually a human who is reincarnated as a legendary pokémon... Just kidding...haha.. Like that's believable anyway...

Kirlia let out a loud yawn. "What' wrong?" She asked while rubbing her tired eyes.

Both Ryan and Eve stared at each other in an uncomfortable silence. Kirlia glanced back and forth between the two, obviously noticing the tension. "D... Did something happen?" She whispered nervously.

Eve flinched. "What, no, don't worry. Nothing happened... We just had a bit of a small argument. That's all."

"Why were you arguing?" Kirlia asked.

"Well, we were just wondering... How old are you?" Eve said while sheepishly rubbing the back of her head.

Kirlia waited for a moment before answering cautiously. "Oh, well... uhm... Okay... If it helps... I'm 21 years old."

"21!!" Eve yelled as her mouth dropped.

"Told you kid. Never judge a pokémon by its looks." Ryan mocked with a wide grin.

Eve could feel the blood rushing to her head. Kirlia was older than her... Way older... And she treaded Kirlia like a small child. Eve groaned as she buried her face into her paws. What an embarrassment... She looked up. "Wait, but If you're 21, how come you haven't evolved yet?"

Kirlia flinched, her face glowing as she stuttered. "T... Th... That's... That is... I... I... It's not what... I'm not..." She let out a high-pitched squeak before quickly retreating deep into the backpack.

Ryan looked visibly uncomfortable with the question. Sheepishly rubbing the back of his head as he whispered. "Uh, kid... I, ah... Not sure how to say this, but it's best not to ask those kinds of questions. It's kind of... You know... Inappropriate..."

Eve let herself fall to the ground in a dramatic fashion. Groaning as she looked up. This was getting way too awkward. She needed to change the subject quick!

"Oh, look at the time!" Eve yelled. "Maybe we should find something to eat for breakfast, because I'm starving. Who else is hungry?"

"Looking at the time?... Sometimes you say the strangest things kid." Ryan reacted as he tilted his head. "But you're right. It's a good idea to gather some food."

After a small debate, Eve managed to convince both Ryan and Kirlia to look for food together while she tried to come up with a message for Rose. The cobalt backpack that she 'borrowed' contained a small coffee colored notebook with a metallic pen. Perfect for writing a note!

Word for word she tried to scribble across the delicate white paper. Which was more difficult than she anticipated as her three fingers weren't exactly 'writing friendly'.

'Dear Rose, if you read this than it means that...' No, that's not it, Eve thought as she tore off the paper, folding it together before throwing it away.

'Dear Rose, it's me Eve. I'm still alive! I'm trying to find you. Leave something behind when you read this...' She pouted her lips. Sure, it was short and to the point, but something felt missing. Eve let out a soft groan as she took hold of the paper. Slowly tearing it down ones again.

Her paw stopped midway as a cold shiver rolled down her spine, causing every hair on her body to jump upright. There was something behind her... Something extremely powerful... Something dangerous... She could feel it staring at her...

Eve swallowed as her heart throbbed against her chest. Every fiber of her existence was screaming to turn around. To prepare herself for whatever horrendous monster lurked behind her.

Though this 'horrific' monster she portrait in her mind was surprisingly... cute and... pink?

Floating behind her was a small pink cat. Though it looked more like a kitten with large rabbit like feet, a thin curled tail and a pair of large twinkling sky-blue eyes, that looked awfully similar to hers.

"M...M...M... Me... Mew!" Eve stuttered as her heart nearly jumped from her ribcage. What was Mew doing here? THE Mew, mother of all pokémon! Mew the one who is said to be the strongest... Why is someone like that here?!

The small cat like pokémon covered its mouth and let out a high-pitched giggle. Its jewel-like eyes glistering with innocence and joy.

Eve frowned as she remembered the dream. The dream where Rose jumped into the lake. The dream where 'this' pink cat was floating above the water. Without really thinking about it she started shouting. "You! What have you done to my sister?!"

Mew flew closer, staring face to face with Eve as her massive eyes sparkled in curiosity. With another high-pitched giggle, she leaped up in the air, flipping half way before letting herself fall on a semi-transparent pink bubble, bouncing up and down like she was jumping on an elastic bubblegum trampoline.

Eve clutched her fists as her face burned red. She was ignoring her! Not just that, but this pink ball of fur was making fun of her too. "Answer my question Mew, WHERE IS MY SISTER!!!" She screamed at the top of her longs.

Mew stopped bouncing and looked back at Eve. "Calm down sweetie, there is no need to be so angry. I assure you that I have done no harm to Rose." She said with a surprisingly soothing and deeply feminine voice. It really didn't fit her cutesy image at all.

"You..."Wait... Eve thought. "How... How do you know Rose's name? I haven't told you her name."

Mew casually started licking the fur on her paw. Focusing back on Eve as she said. "Well off course I know Rose. Why wouldn't I? Don't you remember me? The three of us used to play games together."

Eve tilted her eyebrow. "What are you talking about?"

Mew remained silent for a split second as her eyes darkened like clouds covering the sky. "Well, I'm a bit sad that you don't remember. We used to play together back in the human world. Such good times." She said in a rather depressing tone.

For a moment, Eve felt a bit sorry for the pink feline. She had no idea what the legendary cat was talking about, but she felt guilty about it. Then it occurred to her. "Wait, does that mean that 'you' were responsible for sending me to this world?"

Mew eyes instantly returned to its cheerful and vivid glow, dare Eve say even filled with pride. She puffed up her chest, holding her head high as a large grin formed across her tiny face. "Yes, yes I did. Quite impressive right, although I do say so myself. It was not easy bringing the both of you to this world."

Eve froze. Did she hear that right? The 'both' of us. "Do you mean that... Rose is... here?"

Mew looked back at Eve and giggled. "Maybe... hihi, what do you think?"

Eve felt her heart flutter against her chest as the moist stained her eyes. Alive... She was alive... Rose was alive... Her sister was alive! She smiled as her eyes glistered in joy. She couldn't believe it. She had a chance of seeing Rose again!

Mew carefully scanned Eve from head to toe, slowly circling around her in an almost uncomfortable way. "You inherited a lot more of my traits then my son did."

Eve jumped back to reality. "Your son?" She asked confused.

Mew's tail curled up from happiness, her tiny cat ears twitching as she exclaimed. "Yes! I don't believe you have met him yet. He can be quite cranky at times, but deep down he means well."

Eve closed her eyes and thought about it for a second. "Are you perhaps talking about the original Mewtwo?"

Mew grinned. "Yep, I think he would be delighted to know that he has a little sister."

"Little sister? Who are you talking about?" Eve asked cautiously. Though deep down, she already knew the answer.

Mew giggled as she leaned back against the pink bubble. "Well, I'm talking about you of course sweetie."

"Excuse me!" Eve yelled as her fur spiked up. Mew had to be making a joke. Though she couldn't deny the fact that Mewtwo... And technically herself were created from Mew's DNA. In a way, that did make Mew her... mother. She shivered at the thought. No way that she would see Mew in such a way. Her mother is back on earth. That is the only mother she has, and no one else!

Mew smiled and leaped forward, burying her face against Eve's fluffed cheek in a warm embrace. "You have my DNA remember." She giggled. "I've always wanted a daughter!"

Eve stood frozen in place as the pink kitten softly snuggled against her face. As adorable as it was, she could feel her blood boil in anger. "Mew I'm not—."

Before she could even finish her sentence, Mew pressed her tiny paws against Eve's lips. "Now, now. There is no need to be so agitated sweetie. Come on, let's have some fun together. I know! Let's play a game. If you play a game with me, I will help you use transform. That's what you want right?" She asked while giving Eve an exaggerated wink. "So, what do you think?"

Eve's ear twitched. "A game? I don't have time for games... I'm not a child... And I don't need your help with—. Wait, how do you even know about the transform thing anyway?"

Mew giggled. "Oh, that's simple. I've been watching you from afar. So cute when you first learned how to fly. A bit less cute when you fell into that river. That was quite dangerous for a young mon."

"Wait.. Have you been stalking me?" Eve yelled. This... mother wannabe had been stalking her! The thought alone sent shivers down her spine. She knew that it was strange when that pink light saved her from the river, but she never would have thought that it was Mew!

Mew ticked against her cheek in a very childlike manner. "well, 'stalking' is such a negative word. I prefer the term tactical observation."

"Oh god, you are stalking me!" Eve screamed in horror.

"Like I said, tactical observation. What kind of mother would bring her child into this world and then abandon it! Of course, due to unforeseen circumstances I couldn't show myself and had to stay out of sight. Thankfully you found a companion to take care of you."

Bring into this world...her child... Eve thought. "Mew... are you the one responsible for me turning into a mewtwo?"

Mew playfully bounced into the air and landed on top of the pink bubble. "perhaps..." She said a bit tauntingly.

At this point Eve couldn't keep herself calm anymore. "Why! Why did you do this to me? What did I ever do to you?" She yelled.

Mew remained silent for a minute before speaking up. "You really don't remember, do you sweetie."

"Remember what?"

Mew let herself land on top of Eve's head, slowly letting out a soft purr. Eve flinched as the pink cat's rough tong licked across her fluffed fur. "W... What are you doing?" Eve asked.

Mew ignored the question and continued to groom. "Mew stop lick...ing..." Eve's voice slowly trailed off as her body numbed and every muscle relaxed. She slowly let gravity take hold of her eyes as they fell closed. For a moment, all her worries seemed to melt like snow in the sun.

Without even noticing it, a soft purring vibrated throughout her entire body. What is making that noise? She thought almost half asleep. But the feeling was so nice that she didn't even care. After Mew was done grooming, she flew back up into the air.

"Wha... what did you just do?" Eve mumbled still in a trans-like state.

"I groomed your fur for some mother, daughter bonding time. Especially for younger kittens it can be quite relaxing."

It took a while for Eve to realize what those words meant. But when she did, her face burned so hot, she swore steam evaporated from her forehead. I was just groomed by Mew like a cat... A F*CKING CAT!... And... I liked it?!

"I'm not a kitten!" Eve squeaked.

Mew curled her tail in delight. "Don't be silly sweetie. It's quite obvious that you're just a kitten. You're only thirteen after all."

Eve could feel her face getting even more red. At times like this she wished that she could bury her face in the ground like an ostrich. Eve let out a soft groan, turning away from Mew as her tail swept ones again.

Mew giggled at the sight. Her eyes twinkling with joy. She loved watching her daughter get so embarrassed. It was the cutest sight ever. She should give her kitten a break. But then again, it was a mothers right to tease her children.

"F...Fine... All I need to do is play 'ONE' game with you and then you'll help me use transform, right?" Eve muttered while chanting in her head. Do it for the transform Eve, do it for the transform... It's only one game, you can do this. Do it for the transform...

Mew's eyes sparkled up. "Yes! This is going to be so much fun." She happily yelled like a little girl.

Eve rolled her eyes. "Okay, what is it you want to do?"

Mew's childish smile turned a bit mischievous. "The game is simple. All you have to do... is catch me." Before Eve could react, she shot into the fern trees faster than a bullet. Eve was paralyzed for a second, but then quickly realized what Mew asked of her.

Her eyes shot towards the trees, hoping to catch a glimpse of the illusive pink pokémon. But unfortunately, the cat was already gone. Well, that phantom pokémon title wasn't just for show. No wonder people assumed she was extinct for so many years. She thought.

To get a better look, Eve flew up as high as she could... Which was just above the treetops since she still didn't like extreme heights. Even at this altitude, the wind was quite cold and treacherous. Which made sense since they were close to the mountains. She had to do her best just to stay balanced.

Her eyes cautiously scanned across the treetops for anything pink or fast. But Mew was nowhere in sight. It really was just like she disappeared... Then, she had an idea. I have psychic powers. Who says I can't use them to find Mew!

Eve took a long, slow and deep breath before closing her eyes. She emptied her mind, focusing on everything around her. At first it didn't seem to make any difference, but after a minute or two she started to feel the presence of other pokémon all around her. She couldn't even describe what it felt like. It was really weird, surreal, scary, but at the same time super cool. It wasn't like she could see, hear or smell them. But she knew that they were there.

"I should have done this way sooner!" Eve said with a wide grin. It was then that she felt a presence, much bigger, stronger and above all, scarier than the rest. While the rest was like a small flame, this was like a raging wildfire! No wonder she felt so intimidated by it. It was without a doubt Mew.

Eve looked up, passion burning in her eyes as she launched towards the monstrous presence. Though she couldn't see Mew, she knew that the pink cat was there... Hidden in plain sight.

She smirked. "Oh Mew! I know that you're here. Come out, come out, wherever you are."

A soft giggle echoed behind her. But when she turned around, nobody was there. Despite this, Eve knew... She could feel it. Mew was there. Laughing at her... "Mew I know that you're there. I can feel you." Eve whispered.

"Impressive sweetie, but you're going to have to do more than that to catch me." A familiar disembodied voice answered.

Eve grinned as she closed her eyes. Mew was right there... "Got you!" She screamed while leaping forward. But instead of Mew, her body slammed against the dusty ground. "Oh, that hurts..." She groaned in pain.

Something heavy leaned on her. Eve looked up to see Mew sitting victoriously on her back. Grinning like an absolute idiot. "Oh my, looks like I caught you instead. Guess that makes me the winner of this game."

Eve jumped up in protest. "That's not fair! You can't change the rules like that."

"But It was fun playing, wasn't it?"

Eve froze when she realized what Mew meant, and honestly... Mew was right... She did enjoy it, a lot! "Yeah, it was surprisingly fun." Eve mumbled as she sheepishly rubbed the back of her head. How long had it been since she took the time to play a childish game of tag like this? It felt quite refreshing. Like all her worries didn't matter anymore. Even if it was just for a moment.

Because it was so much fun, Eve agreed to play the game 3 more times. Of course, it ended in a solid 4 to 0, with Mew being the big winner of every round. Eve was about to demand a rematch when a familiar voice called out in the distance.

"Hey kid! Look how many—." Ryan stopped mid-sentence as his eyes fell on the elegant pink feline floating beside his friend. "L... Lady Mew!" He gasped. Kirlia who stood behind him dropped her berries and stared in awe. They both immediately lowered their heads to the ground in a graceful bow of respect.

"Ryan, Kirlia... What are you guys doing?" Eve whispered as she looked back and forth between Mew and the bowing duo.

Ryan looked up with sparkling eyes. "We are paying our respect to the goddess Mew." He said with pride.

Eve couldn't help but chuckle. Goddess Mew... She's some goddess alright... Well, it's kind of true, but hearing it from them sounds ridiculous!

"If we may ask, what is lady Mew doing here?" Ryan said, still bowing before his goddess. It was the question he was dying to know. What was someone as pristine, as powerful and above all legendary as Mew, doing in a mundane place like this. He never thought in his life, that he would have the honor of seeing her in real life.

Mew had a typical cat-like grin on her face, clearly enjoying the formality and attention. "Oh well, I was just training my daughter in the art of transformation." She said like a real classy lady, her tone screaming with confidence.

It took Ryan and Kirlia a second to realize what Mew said. They couldn't have heard it right... Could they? And she couldn't have been talking about... "DAUGHTER!!" They both screamed completely baffled.

Eve froze in the background, her expression seasoned in a pinch of distaste for Mew's statement. "Haha, very funny Mew. Please don't joke around like that." She laughed with an obvious fake smile.

Though Ryan completely ignored her comment as his eyes lit up. "That's wonderful to hear lady Mew! When did you start training?"

Eve looked towards Mew and realized that they had been playing tag the entire time. She couldn't believe that she spent so much time on a game. What was wrong with her. It wasn't like her to slack off like that. "Well..." She mumbled. "I—."

"We were actually just about to start, right sweetie." Mew interrupted.

"Uh... Yes, we should start training." Eve mumbled as her cheeks grew hot. Mew giggled at the sight. How cute. Eve was so easy to read. She turned towards her daughter's companions.

Ryan let out a gasp of surprise as Lady Mew approached him. He was now standing face to face with a legendary. It felt all too surreal. Like he was dreaming. His eyes widened when the pink cat took a large Oran berry from his paws and flew back towards Eve.

"Young kittens need to eat properly if they want to grow strong." She said while offering the berry that looked like a lapis-blue tangerine.

Eve hastily accepted the berry and let her teeth sink into the surprisingly crunchy yet juicy fruit. Immediately an explosive mix of complex flavors engulfed her mouth. It was a tad sour and had, though barely noticeable a soft underlying hint of sweetness. Much like an orange... A 'blue' orange.

It was a whole different level of taste compared to the Pecha berries she had before. "This is really good!" Eve mumbled before stuffing the rest into her mouth.

Ryan stared at Eve as she chewed on the remaining piece. He slowly leaned back and whispered towards Kirlia who looked like she was about to faint. "Hey, did you know Eve was the daughter of lady Mew?"

Kirlia shook her head. "N... No... I didn't even know that lady Mew could have offspring. Though it would explain her unnaturally strong psychic abilities."

Ryan's face suddenly turned pale like a sheet. "I can't believe that I have been calling her 'kid'. I should have called her something more respectful. Oh Arceus, help me!"

Eve was so busy pleading with Mew to stop calling her 'daughter' that she didn't even notice Ryan's comment.

Some time passed and Eve finally started training with Mew.

"Okay sweetie, let's start with something small and simple. How about shifting into Ryan? That should be simple enough."

Eve glanced towards Ryan and then back at Mew. A pikachu shouldn't be that hard, right? She closed her eyes, picturing the cute, chubby, fluffy, electric pokémon in her mind.

Pineapple colored fur, apple red cheeks, the thunder shaped tail and marble eyes...

And... Nothing...

Eve opened her eyes and stared down her feline body. Not even one hair had changed color.

She tried again, and... Nothing...

"I don't think that I'm doing this right." Eve mumbled as she carefully examined every hair on her body.

"Oh no sweetie, you were doing it great. You're quite the natural." Mew complemented.

Eve blushed from the comment. Even though It was obvious that she wasn't doing all that great, since nothing really happened. She still looked exactly the same.

"How about you try to visualize the shifting process of becoming a pikachu? Let your instincts go, feel your body change every step of the way. Instead of focusing on the final product, so to speak."

Eve thought about it. What Mew said surprisingly made sense. She was approaching this the wrong way. She closed her eyes. Visualizing the process in her mind.

Her body becoming smaller, her ears longer, the strange tube on her neck disappearing and her 3 weird fingers turning into a paw with tiny claws. There was this strange underlying sensation that tingled beneath her skin.

It wasn't painful in any way, just a bit ticklish. It almost felt like goosebumps. When the feeling finally stopped, Eve dared to open her eyes.

The first thing she noticed, was how huge everything suddenly looked. She had never been this close to the ground before. Her eyes fell on Ryan, who looked massive in comparison from before. They were now practically the same size.

"H... How do I look?" Eve nervously asked.

Ryan stared at her feeling uncomfortable, or rather a bit disturbed. "Well, you almost got it right..." He answered hastily. Kirlia's soft giggle echoed in the background and Mew rolled through the air, laughing her face off.

When Eve finely got a good look at herself, she realized why. Although she mostly resembled a pikachu, her tail had the same shape as her mewtwo self. And her fur, though rougher in texture, was still lavender colored. "Okay, at least I managed to transform... Sort of. Progress is still progress." She whispered.

It took her at least 9 more tries before she actually looked like a real pikachu. Smooth yellow fur, red cheeks, marble eyes, thunder tail... Eve looked at herself with pride. Though she couldn't hold the transformation for more than 10 minutes, she was so happy and proud of her success.

Ryan stepped forward. "Congratulations Lady Eve. You did it."

"Ryan please don't ever call me that. You saying it like that feels unnatural. And for the last time, Mew was just joking when she said that I'm her daughter... So, please, I hate formally." Eve said in irritation. "But... You know... Thanks..." She quickly whispered with a small cough.

Ryan grinned and replied. "No problem La—. I mean Kid."

Mew stared into the distance. Something was calling her beyond the horizon. Did she feel this right?... Something was wrong at 'that' place. She was needed there, but doing so meant leaving her daughter behind for a few days.

With tears glistering in her eyes, she leaped forward, grabbing Eve into an embrace. "I'm so sorry sweetheart..." She wined. "Something really important just came up. I really don't want to go, but..." With every word more tears filled her eyes. "You're going to be on your own for a few days, okay. But, y... you have learned so much today. I'm sure that you'll be fine. That pikachu and kirlia better take good care of you! Don't forget to eat a balanced meal and stay out of trouble, okay."

At this point Mew couldn't keep the tears at bay and let them stream free across her face. "I will come find you ones I'm done, okay. So, don't worry."

Before Eve could reply Mew was gone, just as fast and unexpected as she had appeared.

As always, thank you for reading this chapter. More will follow.

Giovanni now has prove that a second mewtwo exits. Of course, he thinks that a separate group had created another clone. Imagine being an anime villain and someone else has the same evil idea as you... The audacity! XD

Because Eve is a mewtwo that came into existence after the original Mewtwo, Eve has been dubbed by team Rocket as 'Mewthree'. This is only a nickname of some sorts, that team Rocket gave her to prevent confusion between Eve and Mewtwo. But in the end, she's still a mewtwo.

The original Mewtwo is aware of Eve's existence and wants to warn her of Giovanni. Though she already knows how dangerous he can be. (She has the power of Pokémon games and anime on her side XD)

The 'fluffy lemon-colored spider' at the beginning is actually a joltick. Though I know that you can't find them within the Kanto region, this scene is a bit of a foreshadowing for a later chapter about a pokémon hunter.

Mew made her debut. \("w")/ She sees both Eve and the original Mewtwo as her children. Give a round of applause for motherly Mew.

Too bad she had to leave so soon. Though she will be rejoining the group in the future. 'That' place was a reference to the tree of beginning. I will not go deep into what happened. I will leave this part up to the readers imagination, so to speak.

I always considered Mew to be a cat-like pokémon. So, Mew is a cat. Therefore, mewtwo is also a cat. Therefore, Eve is a cat. And cats do cat things like: purring, hissing, grooming and sweeping their tails if agitated.

Preview chapter 8:

Eve is now more determined than ever with the knowledge that Rose is alive. And now that she knows the basics of transform, she tries to shift into a human.
