Chapter Seven – Flowers from Chyna

The Sandbox

Sasha was working out in Abiyah's nursery while Seth watched over his son. His wife was already halfway back to typical Boss condition; the pregnancy weight was almost invisible and her abs were starting to come through. Even Abiyah was impressed with his mother's grit, as he turned on his side and tried to sit up to watch his mother workout.

"Hey guys," Chyna Helmsley said coming into the nursery; her muscles were always on display. In over ten years of marriage to Hunter, Joanie had never missed a workout and it showed. "I wanted you guys to look at the flowers I picked out for the HayMac wedding this Saturday, what do you think?"

Seth and Sasha looked down at Chyna's phone and looked at the beautiful lilacs she had picked out for her son and daughter-in-law.

"They're beautiful Joanie," Seth said fondly and Sasha nodded.

"They're nice but you might wanna add some blue ones in there, you know, to really make the arrangement pop," Sasha suggested and Chyna furrowed her brow.

"Blue lilacs?" she said thoughtfully, "I didn't even know they existed,"

Seth pulled Sasha in for a hug, "You have to forgive my wife, if it ain't blue, she ain't interested," Seth said and Chyna nodded with a smile, her mint green eyes flickering with appreciation.

"I appreciate you wanting to add your flavour to my son's wedding Boss, but I think I'll leave the blue to you," Chyna replied and she kissed Seth and Sasha and waved at Abiyah who was looking up at his parents from his crib.

"You just had to go there, didn't you?" Seth said to his wife as Chyna left to order the flowers she had chosen.

"What, you know I'm right. Blue goes with everything, what would be better than blue lilacs?" Sasha said as she went back to her workout.

"Well, if you can find them, you can order them and have them sent to Clearwater Baptist Church," Seth said.

"It's the least I can do for HayMac," Sasha said in-between burpees. "They'll be straight from my blue heart,"

Seth shook his head before looking over at Abiyah, then he gasped, "Sasha, look!"

"What?" Sasha said getting to her feet to see what Seth was staring at. It was Abiyah, he was pulling himself up to a standing position and waving at them. He quickly dropped back down but the feat was impressive enough and Seth and Sasha celebrated with each other.

"I can't believe it, our son just stood up all by himself!" Seth said amazed as Sasha called her Mom and told her what just happened. "That's a Boss baby right there!"

Seth reached down to Abiyah and looked at him lovingly, Abiyah looked back up at him and started to speak, "Ba-oss," he said and Seth covered his mouth in shook as Sasha spoke to her Ma.

"Sasha!" Seth called and he turned to his wife, "Abiyah's talking!"

"What?!" Sasha said and she came over to the crib still on the phone with her Ma. "What did he say?"

"I think he said "Boss"," Seth said emotionally.

"Ba-oss," Abiyah said again and he fell back with his legs in the air and started to laugh merrily while his parents celebrated their son's first word.

"Ma, I gotta go, love you!" Sasha said and she hung up on her emotional mother and picked up her son. "Even my son knows I'm the Boss!" she said happily and she turned to Seth, "This is the greatest day of my life, after marrying you of course," she said and Seth hugged them both. They stayed in that moment for awhile, revelling in the very special moment before Abiyah took his nap and Sasha went back to her workout. For once, the Rollins had a moment that was only between the three of them; without Roman, the God girls and the Bonehead around, it was a rare moment that they had all to themselves.

Seth headed back to the East Wing still revelling in Abiyah's actions and he jumped on Shawl who was hovering by the window, waiting to be boarded. It was just a couple of days before Becky's huge history making match against Johnny Gargano and he wanted to talk to her beforehand to make sure she was in the right frame of mind. Ever since Finn Balor and Beth Hardy starting "dating", the Man had been a little distracted and in need of the Prayer Warrior's attention.

WWE Performance Center, Orlando, FL

Not long afterwards, Seth was in Orlando and Becky was in a practice ring, working out with Shawn Michaels. HBK didn't get into the ring often but given the mood Becky was in this week, he didn't want any of the NXT talent to take a chance by getting in the practice ring with her.

Even in approaching her, Seth could feel the heat coming from the ring. Publicity for the epic NXT World Championship match was huge but so was the news that Finn Balor would be taking Beth Hardy to the HayMac wedding in Clearwater, Florida. Stephanie and Bayley's antics were getting in the way of what would undoubtedly be the greatest match in NXT history and Seth had to make sure the Man kept her cool.

Johnny Gargano and the Way was also by the ring and Seth went over to them.

"Are you okay, you're not nervous are you?" Seth asked Gargano who looked quite pensive.

"I'll answer that for you," Candice Larae, Johnny's wife said. "Becky is livid. I've never seen her so upset and quite frankly Seth, I don't know if I want my husband getting in the ring with her this Wednesday,"

"It's the whole thing with Finn Balor and Stephanie McMahon's daughter, it really has gotten to Becky that her ex-boyfriend has moved on," Indie added.

"You guys should know better than to believe everything you see," Seth said to the Way. "Johnny, you're a pro. Don't worry about Becky, just worry about yourself,"

"Don't worry I can handle the Man," Johnny said arrogantly but it was clear to Seth that the current NXT Champion was nervous. Becky Lynch had put the entire NXT locker room on edge.

Meanwhile in the ring, Becky was getting very competitive with Shawn Michaels.

"Whoa," Hunter said as Becky pulled out of one of HBK's counter moves and transitioned into the Disarm Her. Hunter came over to Seth and the Way, "I have never seen Shawn grounded that quickly," Hunter patted Johnny on the back, "you better be on your game this Wednesday bud,"

"Don't worry, I will be," Johnny Gargano said with a hint of malice in his voice. "I was going to take it easy on Becky, but now, the gloves are off," he turned to Seth and Hunter, "Johnny Wrestling is going to show up on Wednesday and I will not be made a fool of,"

As HBK tapped out to the Disarm Her, Hunter jumped on the ring apron in applause.

"That was gnarly!" Hunter said as Shawn clenched his arm both impressed and wounded by Becky Lynch's performance. "You sure are ready for this match, aren't you Becky?"

"I was picturing Finn Balor the whole time," Becky said and Seth got into the ring as she stood to her feet, her jaw was clenched and her first were balled up tight. Becky was in fight mode and it was exactly what Hunter and Shawn wanted to see out of the Man.

"Great job Becky," Shawn said and he went to talk to Johnny Gargano about his offense for the match against Becky. As far as Shawn was concerned, Johnny was going to have to take it up a notch: the Man was ready for a fight this Wednesday.

"Hey Seth," Becky said as Hunter gave her some water. "I'm ready for the match on Wednesday,"

"I don't care about the match, you know the reason why I came here," Seth said sincerely, "Let's go, Bianca and Bliss are waiting for us,"

"Seth, if I leave this ring, I'll lose focus. I need to stay in this ring right now," Becky said and Seth shook his head.

"This is exactly what I didn't want to happen," he said. "You're channelling your feelings about Finn Balor into this match and it is such a bad idea for you to be wrestling against Gargano. He is going to meet you inch-for-inch because you are so fired up, he is going to bring it harder than he has ever brought it before. That's why I came here today, I have to make sure that Johnny realises that he is not wrestling you, he's wrestling the woman who used to date Finn Balor,"

"You think I can't separate my emotions from my job?" Becky said resentfully.

"That's why I need you to come with me right now, you need to take a breath and put things back in perspective, so when you're wrestling Johnny, you're not fighting from your emotions. This is a championship match, it is not an opportunity for you to get out your frustration with Finn Balor," Seth said.

"I am not frustrated with Finn Balor, I'm frustrated with Stephanie McMahon. She's the one behind all of this, she's the one I'm frustrated with okay?" Becky said and her rage became obvious to both Seth and Hunter.

"Let's go," Seth said and they both left the ring and headed out of the Performance Center to meet with Alexa and Bianca. Their ascent was postponed by Shawl, Seth's prayer shawl refused to fly. "Shawl, what's wrong?" Seth asked his prayer shawl and Seth rubbed his hand across the holy fibres of his prayer shawl and could sense that Shawl was disturbed. Even his prayer shawl was rejecting Becky Lynch, it seemed that Becky was too angry to fly on him. "Becky, you have got to calm down. If my prayer shawl won't fly with you, that means you're in a very bad place right now. You're part of my team, I need you to be in the right frame of mind, don't let what Stephanie's doing get to you like this,"

Becky could feel the emotions raging through her body. The pictures of Finn and Beth Hardy were everywhere and though her feelings for Finn had subsided, it was what was happening to Beth Hardy that bothered her the most. That's why she was so angry; she didn't want Beth Hardy to get hurt.

"Please can you pray for me?" Becky asked Seth and the Prayer Warrior called Shawl over to him and his prayer shawl rested on Seth's shoulders as he prayed for Becky Lynch. Moments later, the anger that Becky had been carrying around inside her like a ball of volcanic lava, started to dissipate and it was replaced by her confession of frustration and distress. Seth prayed that Becky's faith would replace her anger and that she would trust God that He would bring Beth Hardy through this storm. Becky wanted her trust in God to be restored but she was having a hard time seeing things from God's perspective right now. Hopefully, when Seth was done praying for her, she would allow herself to trust God with this whole Beth and Finn situation.
