Chapter 7: Nuketown
The U.A. hero course curriculum was surprising normal when compared to other high school coursed, our morning was comprised of English lessons both myself and Yaoyorozu being proficient in the subject, while in my case it was due to my late father teaching me so I would be able to read old scripture while for her I suspect it was more a case of natural intelligence comprised with private tutoring if her status as a recommendation student was anything to go buy.
This led to a majority of the class seeking either her aid or mine when it came to group activities related to learning different phrases and correct grammar, while it was obvious Yaoyorozu took some small joy in teaching the others I felt perhaps minor irritation that they were unable to study the subject themselves. That didn't stop me from helping them, Midoriya has so kindly advertised my talents when it came to studying, but I felt no sense of pride or accomplishment when I saw them succeed, that ever present hollow feeling was still there.
The subject of Modern Hero art however...confused me greatly. Perhaps because most of the topic was based upon interpretation of emotions which I had never experienced was what caused me to have very little understanding of the subject and it showed. The rest of my classmates often confused this with me not being to affiliated with art to give a proper analysis, I was thankful for their naivety. I would rather they think me artistically dull than think I couldn't understand the basic human emotions that art was meant to instil.
The subject itself was split into two categories, the interpretation of Heroes in artistic forms and how heroes presented themselves to the public. I viewed it as an amusing contradiction that Midnight, the pro-hero who dressed as adult entertainer and make flirtatious remarks to her students, was trying to teach us the importance of appearance to the public. Although if the reactions of a few of my male classmates were any indication I was in the minority when it came to my criticism of our choice of teacher.
I'm busy shovelling food into my mouth when a voice calls out to me.
"Kotomine-kun?" Uraraka's nervous tone draws my attention away from my lunch to look at her worried expression "Are you...okay?" evidently she isn't alone in her worries as everyone else on the table with the exception of Midoriya and Ojiro, who were already aware of my preference to spicy foods, look at me with varying levels of concern.
I swallow my last bite of Mapo Tofu before dabbing the sweat on my forehead "I'm perfectly fine Uraraka-san" although I can understand her concern as even Lunch Rush voiced his concern when I asked him to make me the spiciest plate of Mapo Tofu he possibly could, something about 'hazards to student health'.
"Kotomine's always liked spicy foods Uraraka-san" Midoriya eases her concerns "Its probably one of the few things that makes him smile" despite his reassurance both Uraraka and Iida still look at me with concerned faces.
"Damn bro!" Kirishima shouts across the table at me "Your lunch looks like its about to melt through the plate!"
I simply shrug at him "I like spicy foods."
"Yeah…" Kirishima starts laughing "We can tell."
"Kouhaimine!" I turn so see Kendo walking over to our table with a smile on her face "Still eating Lava I see?"
"There is no need to make fun of my eating habits Kendo-san." I roll my eyes at her while sticking another spoonful of fire into my mouth.
"Yeah, yeah" she rolls her eyes and dismisses me before narrowing her gaze at me "By the way I haven't seen you since the day before the Practical exam. You weren't avoiding me were you?" she says with her voice full of faux suspicion.
"No." my tone remains even and unemotional, truthfully I just didn't see the need in talking to her. We were both aware of the others results and having a conversation about it wouldn't garner any useful information "You were simply imagining it."
From her expression its clear she doesn't quite believe me but doesn't comment further "Hmm anyway I wanted to come over and say 'Hi' cause we haven't seen each other in a while. Oh yeah! Hey Ojiro!"
"Hello Kendo-san."
"Before I forget Kotomine" she turns back to me "I have a classmate who I want to introduce you to. He really reminds me of you."
I raise my eyebrow at her "How so?"
"He's broody and doesn't like to talk much either."
"Pffft!" I turn my attention back to the table where Midoriya, Uraraka and Ojiro seem to be doing their best to contain their laughter, I simply raise an eyebrow at the display.
"Yeah he makes that face a lot too!" Kendo interjects while pointing a finger at me "Next time I see you I'll try to bring Kerry over to introduce you to each-other."
I shrug my shoulders "You can do as you wish."
'Kerry'? I very much doubt he is anything like me though.
"I am…" A booming voice from the corridor alerts the class that out next teacher it here for the lesson "...Coming through the door like a normal person!"
The somewhat iconic voice of All Might sends the class into varying states of surprise and excitement that he is indeed at Teacher at U.A. He's wearing his silver age costume if I remember correctly from Midoriya's lectures on the History of the man, I always found some slight sense of interest in listening to the tales of All Mights rescues.
Like Midoriya I regularly watched the video of All Might saving saving over a thousand people from a disaster. Yet I suspected we watched it for different reasons, while he took joy in the act of saving, I seemed to take a perverse joy in watching the disaster itself. I could never fully pull myself away from the screen, there was something about that entire scene; the fires, the destruction, the hopelessness before All Might's arrival that I found…
Sickeningly intriguing.
I told myself that I was just curious as to how a single man could turn a situation of despair into one of hope, perhaps to fool myself into believing that was the real reason behind my fascination with such acts of cruelty.
Deep down however, I had the sinking suspicion that wasn't the real reason why I continued to watch the video even to this day.
"I will be teaching you Hero Basic Training." All Mights voice grabs my attention and cuts off the idle chatter in the classroom "In this subject I will teach you the different methods to learns the basics of being a Hero. You'll take the most units of this subject!"
All Might winds up a pose "Lets get right to it! This is what we'll be doing today-" He thrusts his arm forward to reveal a small card he is holding with the words 'Battle' on them "Battle training!"
I nod as the response of the class varies from bloodthirsty elation on Bakugo's part while feelings of downright dread grip Midoriya.
"And to go with that are these!" All Might points to the side of the classroom where lockers begin to extend themselves from the war, each one has a different number on it related to where the owner sits in the classroom "Costumes made based on your Quirk registration and your requests from the support department!"
The feeling of excitement is palpable at this point as my peers begin to cheer "Once you've changed, we'll be heading to Ground Beta!"
I stand up and make my way over to my locker along with everyone else and retrieve the bag containing my costume before I join everyone else heading to the changing rooms.
My costume itself is relatively simple, black combat boots and black trousers with a dark grey long sleeved combat shirt. My overcoat is made in the style of a cassock with multiple pockets inside the coat for my support items, I've taken to calling them 'Black Keys'. They are rather small red 'T' shaped handles, fifteen centimetres long with the guards being ten centimetres in diameter. I designed them to have dull and light extendable pieces of metal deploy from the handle, the metal itself is light and would normally be easily broken which is why I reinforce their durability before use. I envisioned them to give myself a ranged option given my natural affinity for throwing with accuracy.
Arriving at the Battleground I take notice of my peers costumes which are certainly more memorable than mine, which wouldn't look out of place at a Church sermon. Bakugo is wearing rather large grenade shaped gauntlets, a black vest with a large red 'X' over the chest and baggy black trousers with silver knee guards and large black boots. Iida is wearing a full body suit which reminds me of Ingenium.
Now that I think about it they have the same family same don't they?
Uraraka is wearing a full body black skin suit with a pink stripe going vertically down the chest with rather Bulky pink shin high boots and large rings on her wrist.
"Woah Kotomine!" Kirishima's voice brings my attention to him and I notice his costume, or rather the lack there of. He wasn't wearing anything on his top half except tire shaped shoulder pads, his lower half was comprised of baggy black trousers, a belt with a large red 'R' in the centre of it and a loose piece of dark red fabric handing down from his sides.
"You're costume looks really serious bro!" He comments attract a few other people to look at me "You kinda got this whole old action hero vibe going!"
"That's great everyone! You all look so cool!" All Might brings the classes attention back to him "Now, shall be begin, you zygotes!"
Looking around the classroom I notice that Midoriya isn't present yet. I had already seen the designs for his costume in his notebook, it was quite obviously based upon All Mights appearance if the sketches were to anything to go by.
"Ah! Deku-kun!" Uraraka's voice causes me to turn around and I spot Midoriya, he costume is a skin tight green suit with white stripes going down his arms ending in large white gloves. His head is covered by a full face cowl with mimicries of All Mights hair extending from the top and a mesh mask with clear inspiration drawn from his idols iconic simile. Its clear that his costume, despite its amateur appearance, has more emotion in its design than mine does. His represents the realisation of his dream and while he isn't a Hero yet he's closer to fulfilling his wish than I am.
I envy him.
"All right listen up! We're going to move onto combat training now!" The teacher grabs our attention as we line up in order.
"Sensei" Iida's armoured figure raises a hand in question "This is the battle centre from the entrance exam, so will we be conducting urban battles again?"
"No." All Might raises two fingers in response "We're going to move ahead two steps! While a number of villain attacks occur outside, you'll find that the stats of villain activities taking place indoors is much higher" He turns to look at the class and while he is still sporting that smile I can see a glint of seriousness in his eyes and a sense of…
Anger?
"In other words. The truly intelligent villains hide in the shadows!"
The look in his eyes disappears to suddenly that I'm left wondering if it even existed in the first place before he continues "For this class you'll be competing in Hero vs Villain indoor team battles. However because of the odd number of you there are we'll have to have a team of four versus a team of three and then a three versus three followed a two versus two style for those not in the larger teams."
The frog mutant girl places a finger on her chin and tilts her head in confusion "Without basic training?"
"This is a real battle to understand those basics!" All Might answers back immediately. I can agree with the theory behind it, a life or death struggle is rarely a fair encounter no matter how well trained an individual is.
"However, this time there will be no robots for you to fight!"
Yaoyorozu steps forwards "How will wins and losses be determined?"
She's then followed by Bakugo "How badly can we beat them up?"
Uraraka's worried voice continues with the rapid fire questions aimed at the new teacher "Will we be punished with expulsion like Aizawa-sensei?"
"How shall we split up?"
"Isn't this cape crazy?"
The questions continue to be flung at the number one hero who is looking increasingly uncomfortable with the rapid fire questions.
"I'll answer all your questions in a moment." he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small notebook which I assume is a lesson plan considering what he says next.
"The situation is that the villains have hidden a nuclear weapon somewhere in their hideout and the heroes job is to dispose of it. Both Heroes and Villains win by capturing their opposing team or capturing/protecting the nuclear weapon withing the allotted time period of fifteen minutes."
All might picks up a yellow cardboard box at his side before holding it up for us to see "We'll be deciding teams by drawing lots!"
Iida appears almost affronted by this as he steps forward, his voice full of confusion "They're being decided so haphazardly!?"
Midoriya however answers his question before I can "Pro-heroes often have to form makeshift teams with other agencies on a whim, maybe that's why?"
"I see, that discernment to see ahead…" his voice returns to a calmer tone and his posture relaxes for a moment before he bows rather suddenly "Please excuse my rudeness!"
"It's fine." All Might turns away from us and thrusts his fist into the air "Lets do this quickly!"
By the time the lots have been drawn and the teams have been decided I find myself on one of the teams of three, my partners being Midoriya and Uraraka.
Team B consists of Todoroki, Shoji and Sero.
Team C has Ojiro, Hakagure, Sato and Koda
Team D has Bakugo, Kirishima and Iida
Team E is Mineta and Yaoyorozu, her partner leaves much to be desired and I'm torn between pitying her and laughing at her.
Team F has Kaminari and Jiro
Team G is made up of Asui and Tokoyami
Team H is Aoyama and Mina.
"Wow, I'm with you two! This must be fate! Lets do out best!" Uraraka's upbeat attitude has a smirk forming on my face, not at her bright smile but rather at Midoriya panicking about having to partner up with a member of the opposite sex. Despite my best efforts to at least improve his confidence he still seems to stutter through his most successful conversations with women.
"Very well!" All Might shouts to us as he sticks his hands into two boxes labelled Heroes and Villains "The first teams to fight will be these guys…" he pulls out two balls labelled D and A
"ha...haha….hAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The laughter erupts from my mouth before I can even help myself and instantly the entire class shifts their focus to me but I can't help it. It is a certainty that Bakugo will go for Midoriya and I'm thinking back to his face to when he discovered Midoriya had a quirk. His emotions to this have been building up and this will give him the perfect excuse to release his pent up anger. He has likely felt that Midoriya has humiliated him by concealing a quirk all these years, that face he will make when he finally confront Midoriya in combat.
How intriguing it will be to see.
My laughter dies down and the class is staring at me wide eyed, especially those who've rarely seen a true smile on my face are looking as if I've grown a second head. I get my breathing under control before bowing slightly to All Might "Apologies Sensei, I thought of something funny."
"Ahem...alright then. Anyway Team A will be playing the role of Heroes and Team D shall play the role of Villains" He gestures to the other students "The rest of you head up to the monitor centre while the teams here prepare yourselves!"
I turn my attention over the opposing team and spot Bakugo fixing a glare on Midoriya, which he responds to with a face of determination. That seems to enrage Bakugo further.
"Hey Kotomine!" I turn my attention Kirishima who gives me a thumbs up "Lets both do our best bro!"
I nod to him and he responds with a similar gesture.
Our group makes our way over to the designated building with All Might "Villain team. Head inside, you have five minutes to set up before the Hero team breaks in and the battle begins." He pulls the Villain team away before they head into the building and my team wait outside, for what I assume was supposed to be a strategy meeting.
"It's quite hard to memorise the floor plan" Uraraka break me out of my studying of the floor plan and I turn my attention to her "It's nice that All Might is just like how he is on TV and it seems unlike Aizawa-sensei there's no punishment" she turns to Midoriya "so at least we can relax- Deku-kun you're not relaxed at all!"
I shift my attention to Midoriya and sure enough he's trembling "Well…" he stutters out "It's because we're up against Kacchan… There's also Iida and Kirishima so I feel I need to be more on guard…"
"That's a prudent decision Midoriya." They both turn their attention to me "Bakugo is most definitely going to abandon his objective and focus solely on fighting you."
He gives me a resigned look "Yeah...probably."
"Bakugo-san's the one who makes fun of you isn't he Deku-kun?" Uraraka turns to Midoriya with a solemn expression and his face shifts into a sad smile "He's truly amazing. His goal, his confidence, his physical strength and his quirk are all better than mine."
He scrunches his brows under his cowl and the smile disappears, replaced with a look of determination "But that's why...right now" he fixes his mask back over his face "I don't want to lose."
Uraraka looks at Midoriya with a more light hearted expression "A fated battle between men, huh?"
Immediately Midoriya's confidence vanishes and he turns to her while flailing his arms around and stuttering again "A-ah s-sorry, this isn't y-your problem Urarak-"
"It is, we're a team aren't we?" She stands up and looks him in the eye and gestures to both her and myself "Me and Kotomine have your back!" before thrusting an arm into the air "So lets all do our best!
He smiles at us and I cough to get their attention.
"Regardless, we should form a plan" I furrow my brows at them "We've already established that Bakugo will most likely charge ahead to single you out Midoriya, my few interactions with Kirishima tell me he prefers to rush into things so he'll likely follow Bakugo but probably won't get to us at the same time. That leaves Iida alone with the Bomb."
The nod at me to continue.
"If we can defeat Bakugo before Kirishima arriv-"
"No, if such a thing happens I'll fight Bakugo." Midoriya interrupts me and looks into my eyes.
"Deku-kun!?"
"Midoriya" I stare right back into his eyes "while your quirk is powerful you lack the same type of combat instinct that Bakugo has, if you fight him one on one you will most likely lose."
"Maybe I will" He acquiesces to my point but its clear he is dead set on this "but I won't know until I try and this…" He looks down at his clenched fists "This feels like something I have to do on my own." he stares back at me and my lips curl into a small smile at the possibility of Bakugo somehow losing to him.
"Very well Midoriya, in that case while you distract Bakugo myself and Uraraka will make our way to the bomb" I turn my attention back to Uraraka "If we encounter Kirishima along the way I'll fight him and send you on ahead, with luck I should be able to defeat him and join you to fight Iida."
They nod to me and I hear All Might's voice over the speaker system "Now, lets begin the indoor person-to-person combat training!"
We enter through an open window and begin navigating the corridors, they're rather narrow and lack any distinguishing features. In short this building is designed to be a maze, without the floor plans we'd be thoroughly lost.
I catch movement in the corner of my eye and turn my attention just in time to see Bakugo jumping from the corner, I jump back and Midoriya tackles Uraraka out of the way of a potent explosion. Midoriya loses half his cowl and has a nasty bruise forming on his cheek from being so close.
I focus my attention onto the cloud of smoke kicked up by Bakugo's surprise attack "Come Deku." Bakugo sweeps away the cloud and reveals himself, his eyes focused solely on Midoriya and his lips twisted into a small frown "Don't start dodging now."
"We figured you'd come for me first" Midoriya says as he picks himself of the ground, Bakugo is already kicking off the ground and rushing Midoriya
"I won't do so much damage that they have to cancel the match, but I'm gonna go close!" He swings his right arm in an overhead punch, it never lands. Midoriya surprises me and rushes in first clasping the offending limb.
I raise my eyebrows as he pivots his body and performs a textbook over shoulder throw as Bakugo makes contact with the ground in a rather nasty impact which drives the air from his lungs.
"You two go on ahead!" Midoriya breaks us out of our surprise "I'll fight Kacchan!"
I nod to him and turn to Uraraka and gesture her to follow me as we make our way to the stair case, the sound of explosions echoing behind us as we leave Midoriya to his fight. I don't believe he can win, but the act of fighting Bakugo is enough to anger the blonde teen and that's already a personal victory for me.
We arrive on the second floor before a voice calls out from the end of the corridor "Where do you think you're going heroes!" myself and my teammate pause as Kirishima emerges from the darkness "Bakugo going on ahead to sneak attack you guys was real unmanly..." his skin shifts and becomes rougher and more angular. This must be his hardening at work, I've only ever seen it from a distance and have no idea as to it's durability or his skill in combat.
"I prefer to fight guys head on!" he bashes his fists together.
"Uraraka-san." she turns to me "Go on ahead, I'll join you as soon as I am able."
"Ha!" Kirishima barks out a laugh as Uraraka rushes past him "Getting a little overconfident aren't you bro?" he assumes a rather amateur fighting stance. He's clearly got some idea of how to fight although I doubt he's quite as skilled as me.
Kirishima POV
"I've wanted to have a spar with you since the quirk assessment test!" I shout out to him, his face remains blank. It's impossible to get a read on him as he just stands there. Menacingly, for a hero student he's got quite the intimidating stare.
"Oh?" he raises an eyebrow in me and I shift my body, preparing to fight him.
"Yeah!" I call back to him "You're strong, probably one of the strongest in class that much was obvious! I want to see just how I compare to one of the top students!"
His lips form into a small smirk but his eyes remain empty, there's something off putting about that. It's like he doesn't care.
"I see." that apathetic voice calls back to me but there's a slight hint of humour in his eyes.
"Well, we should probably get to it!" I narrow my eyes at him "I don't want to waste any more time talking!"
"I did not mind." His posture shifts and he lowers himself "This won't take much time anyway."
I let out another laugh as prepares himself to charge me.
He kicks of the ground and rushes straight for me "Haaa!"
I don't have such power and speed in my legs, he's closing in fast the only thing I can do is swing my fist full force at his head at a speed he hopefully can't avoid.
Pain!
That's my first thought as Kotomine disappears from my field of view, my left side explodes in pain as Kotomine smashes his palm into me. It feels like my hardening didn't even matter to him.
He shifts and kicks up with his lighting fast legs, I'm not quick enough to react to it and my vision whites out as his knee makes contact with my face.
The air is driven from my lungs as my back makes contact with something hard. He's strong, he completely blew through my defence in a couple of moves. My vision returns and I find myself staring up at the ceiling.
I widen my eyes as I get a view of a boot racing towards my head, I roll to the side as I hear the sound of concrete cracking as his foot makes contact with the ground where my head was a second ago.
I scramble to my feet as fast as I can just in time to take a punch to the face. I race back to try and regain my balance but Kotomine's relentless, I throw up my arms to cover my face and I feel another punch connect with my guard, they stop after that and I race back as far as I can.
I lower my arms and focus again on Kotomine. He's no longer staring at me, his vacant stare is directed at something else entirely, instead he's staring at his hands. They're covered in scratches and are already starting to bruise, looks like he can't continue the strike me with immunity.
"What a troublesome body." he muses as he studies his wounded hand, the doesn't even sound annoyed or angry, if anything its a like a mild inconvenience to him "The one unleashing the attack is the one at risk of injury..."
He turns his attention back top me and assumes his stance again "But this should make a good handicap."
Kotomine closes in on my again. He's stronger than me, he can completely bypass quirk with his attacks but it's not an infallible method of attack. Those bruises on his hands mean that he can only hurt me at the cost sustaining injuries. My only hope is to try and outlast him before he takes me out.
That plan is seeming more and more unlikely as his attacks resume, my counterattacks against him fail to land. He effortlessly parries or avoids them while his blows continue to hammer away at me. It doesn't matter how hard my skin is, his attacks are focused on damaging my insides rather than the outside.
Before he can land another punch the building shakes violently, a loud explosion echoes out from the floor below us. I can faintly make out Iida yelling to Bakugo about something through my ear piece but that doesn't matter right now.
Kotomine's off balance, I won't get another chance like this.
His eye's widen as I shoot forwards and my hardened forehead smacks straight into his nose. I can hear a loud crack as his nose breaks upon impact, I can make out something warm dripping down my forehead over my face, I can already guess what it is considering the blood currently gushing from Kotomine's face.
He staggers back and I seize this opportunity.
I rush forwards and aim straight for his chest.
Kotomine POV
I've lost the momentum of my attack. As I suspected I can't maintain a continued offensive against Kirishima. Worse my full body reinforcement has started placing an uncomfortable level strain on me, I can't fight him much longer perhaps a minute if I can push myself.
I'm still disorientated from that headbutt and my vision is blurry from the tears building up in my eyes. I can't dodge the punch aimed for my gut.
His fist smashes in to my chest with the force of a sledgehammer, I can feel my ribs crack. The only thing stopping them from shattering is my enhanced body. The advantage of the fight now lies with Kirishima and I can't do much more than try to block or avoid his blows. There's no real form to his attacks, he's just desperately wailing on me but with his power its more than enough to put me on the retreat.
I have to wait for Midoriya to give the signal he spoke about earlier, I keep manoeuvring my body to avoid his punches while leading him away from the north of the building.
"Now Kotomine, Uraraka!" Midoriya's voice enters my ear shortly followed my Uraraka's "Yes!"
I cancel out my full body reinforcement and put everything into my legs. I instantly kick away from Kirishima as he misses another punch.
A massive shockwave rips through the floor below us, blasting us back as it punches upwards through the next floor and the next carrying debris all the way through the building. I smash on the ground and Kirishima faceplants the floor next to me.
Neither of us are in a position of move as All Might's voice rings out again "Hero...Hero team...WINS!"
Unknown POV (Fuyuki City)
This message from this 'Tomura Shigaraki' its… intriguing. A plan to kill the Symbol of Peace, such a thing would be laughable and yet...
Yet, he has this strange confidence to him he truly believes it can be done or rather that he has the means to do it. According to him the Symbol of Peace has gotten weaker in his old age, its possible I suppose.
Such an endeavour, if it were to succeed…
That would surely have my name inscribed into the history books. I withdraw my knife from my victims neck and prepare myself to leave when I hear the clang of metal behind me.
"Hey…" a voice sounds out behind me, I swiftly turn around to see a figure entering the alleyway, he's obscured by darkness but that doesn't mean anything.
How many other Pro-heroes are known to wield spears?
"You filthy little sand bug…" his disgusted voice echoes throughout the alley and I shift myself into position. This is bad, his Quirk lets him manipulate the wind, he can drastically reduce air current to make himself faster or create a small blast with it. My throwing dirks are useless in this fight.
I'll have to get in close and try and use my Quirk but I'm under no illusions. He's faster and more skilled that I am.
"I don't know who you are villain..." he twirls the blood red spear in his hands as he finally steps into the light. He crimson eyes lock onto me, that blue skintight body suit revealing a tone muscle structure, a slight breeze causes his blue ponytail to flutter behind his head.
The spear stops twirling and he levels it at me "But if you think you're getting out of here in one piece…" a viscous smile spreads across his face as he lowers himself into a stance.
"You'll be disappointed!"
He kicks off the ground and rockets towards me.
AN: Damn, that was a pretty nasty punch up wasn't it? Some of you might recognise the dialogue and the actual pace of the fight and yes I did look at the Heavens Feel VN for inspiration for it. You might also be wondering why Kirishima was able to match Kotomine so I'll explain.
Kotomine could have very easily overpowered Kirishima in fight if he reinforced his arms however that would mean that his actual body hadn't really increased in durability meaning that all it would only take one luck punch from Kirishima and he would be in serious trouble. Thus Kotomine elected for full body reinforcement, however this increases his total durability at the cost of power so while he could make up for that in skill it also meant he was effectively punching a brick wall repeatedly.
Kotomine had Kirishima beat in actual fighting ability but Kirishima has him beat in durability. A fight against someone like Bakugo or Shoto would be a lot more difficult for Kotomine to win as they can attack him from range.
Also oh no! It's Lancer and another character? We'll have to wait until the USJ arc!
Next time we our first interlude so it won't have much to do with Kotomine.
