Leo woke up in a very small, concrete room. He groaned, feeling a killer headache come on "..o-ow…" he muttered. He looks around the room, and tries to move his legs…only to realize they're chained together, along with his arms. He Huffs "…so tight…" there's no give. Truly, he's stuck. He looks over his body. He's got cuts and bruises all over, and it feels like there's blood on his cheek, coming from a wound. He's also Missing his headband.
"Leo?!" a panicked voice asks. The boy looks over, eyes wide "Haoyu…is it just us?" The green haired teen is tied up just like Leo, with nearly the same amount of bruising, except his fingers look all bent and out of shape. "..yeah…It's…it's me…can you move?"
Leo pants, and flops onto his stomach ".. barely…" he huffs. Haoyu sighs "…I woke up a bit before the chained us up…Yuri and Emma are somewhere else in the house… and the lady walked off with Maryanne…" Haoyu sighs "…they locked in me before I heard them talking."
Leo nods…and struggles a little bit, trying something….to his surprise, he managed to get his right hand free! "…is there a sharp…stick or something around here?* He looks at Haoyu.
"Check my pocket…they took my phone, but they left my plane's keys, and a screwdriver!" Leo nods, and reaches into Haoyu's pocket, finding the screwdriver. He looks at the cuffs, one on his right leg, and the other on his left arm, with the chain wrapped all around him. He inhales softly, and jams the screwdriver into his arm cuff. Haoyu watches intently, muttering "..c'mon…c'mon…break." as he said that, the cuffs fell open with a loud cracking sound. He grins "…I'll get myself free, then you.." Haoyu nods "yeah…but if they come back before you can, I want you to run.* He smiles "no sense in us both being caught.." Leo smiles back "..not leaving without you." He works on his leg cuff, and breaks that too. Despite the chains being heavy, the kidnappers used cheap Cuffs, at least. He pants a little, unwinding the chains from his body. Besides a few bruises, he seems fine "Done…hold still, okay?" he walks over to Haoyu, and kneels near the chair, looking for the cuffs
"my legs are cuffed to the chair legs, and my Hands are cuffed Together.." Haoyu mutters, and Leo nods, working on his leg cuffs. They both pop off with a bit of effort, but his hands are the hardest to free, as the Screwdriver keeps getting caught on the chains.
The process is slow, but after about twenty minutes, Haoyu is free of the chains and chair. He hugs Leo tightly "…thank you."
Leo grins, proud to have helped "o-of course! We should probably try and get out of here…find the girls?"
Haoyu nods, and leads the way to the door. He takes out a few needles from his vest pocket "the chains covered it before…" he muttered, and started working on the lock of the door. Leo grabs what looks to be a heavy piece of pipe near by, as a weapon.
The door opens with a soft click, and both boys walk into a large, grey hallway "…it looks like a warehouse…" Leo mutters. Haoyu nods ".. let's go."
They both start walking, Making sure to be very quiet, as they look around the area. It's a rather dirty, cold place…Leo's regretting not having a jacket. The Hallway is barren, except for the mold and dirt staining the walls. Haoyu spots a room in front of them, with the lights on, and a silhouette. He motions for Leo to get on his knees, and he does as well.
The woman is clearly Emma's step mom. "Look, Alexander, if the engagement fell through, we can just sell her like the others." She's looking at a man who looks very much like Emma. "Well, Jane, I don't know of anyone who needs four kids and a baby!" he motions to a small cradle in the corner. Leo looks as best he can, kneeling just out of sight of the woman.
All he hears from the cradle is the rattle of chains and muffled crying.
Jane scoffs "I never said we'd sell em all together. We could sell one to that doctor who needs organs, and another to that couple that needs a servant. We just need to find buyers…" she Huff's, and spits in the cradles direction "shut up, you. Besides, it's a proper punishment for their family for trying to stop us."
Alexander sighs "well…at least the blonde boy already has a 'buyer'" he smirks 'His uncle's paying us a few hundred to kill the little bastard."
Leo pales, and before he can make any noise, Haoyu covers his mouth. The green haired boy makes a 'quiet' symbol. He Motions to an open air vent beside them…leo nods, and crawls in, followed by Haoyu. They both wait a few minutes, until The finally hear something valuable "…I've got Emma and the other girl locked upstairs. I'll go feed them and the boys later." Jane Huff's " I'm going out to smoke…you coming with me?"
The man nods, and follows her, shutting the door behind him. Leo takes out the Screwdriver "let's get Maryanne…"
Haoyu nods "yeah…I didn't like the look of those chains.." he muttered. Leo unscrews vent, and enter the room quietly, locking the door from the inside. Haoyu comes in after "oh my God." He mutters
Maryanne is in the cradle, the chains around her so tight Haoyu can see bruising. She's actually chained to the cradle, and there's duct tape over her mouth. She looks terrified. "I'll get her…we need to be ready to find the girls." Leo nods, and barricades the door with a chair, and starts trying to push a bookshelf in front of the door.
Haoyu works with the lock on the chains, and let's out a sigh of relief when he hears the clink of the lock. He unwraps the chains from the little girl, and takes off the tape, allowing her to cry freely as Leo barricades the door.
The baby girl grips onto his shirt, sobbing into his shoulder. He pets her back "hey, hey…you're alright, baby…nothing's going to get you here.." he muttered. Leo walks over "…anything broken on her?"
Haoyu shivers "..I'm scared to check…we'll have to wait, since we don't have supplies.." he whispers as the baby girl quiets down. "…let's get the girls…she said upstairs?" Leo nods, and climbs into the vent. Haoyu wraps Maryanne in his vest, clambering into the vents after Leo.
The vents are very confusing, and even harder to traverse, Haoyu having to use one arm to hold Mary. Leo guides them further up into the house…eventually spotting what looks like Yuri's legs chained to a chair
"Yuri..?" he called out "..Emma?* "Leo..?!' Emma…runs to the vent! "You're here, thank God!" she opens the vent, and lets them both in. The room looks like a child's bedroom, specifically that of a little girl. Emma looks awful. She's got bruises up and down her arms, tiny burn marks, up and down her arms, and a black eye. Leo's eyes widen, and he hugs her, as Haoyu runs to Yuri's unconscious form. "How'd you escape the chains?" he looks at Emma, who blushes "…I had a hairpin they didn't take…I used it too get out!"
Haoyu frees Yuri…who slowly awakes "..Haoyu…?" she looks at him. He smiles "hey, little sister…we're taking you home."
"No, you're not." A voice behind him says. The kids jumps, and Yuri clings to her brother.
Jane grins, and walks into the room, clapping. "Congratulations! You got out of the chains, but I regret to inform you can't escape your fate. I found someone to take each and everyone of you!" Alexander locks to the door, and pulls out a gun "none of you move."
Leo freezes, and Emma hides behind him. Haoyu holds Yuri and Maryanne close, a look of hate on his face.
Jane chuckles "I admire your bravery! For that, I'll tell you each what's going to happen to you. You," she points to Haoyu "are getting taken to hospital in the morning, where your organs will be harvested, and sold." His face pales, and a before he can stop it,. Tear slips out.
Jane giggles "you," she points to Yuri "are getting taken to a factory tomorrow. You'll work from sunup, til sundown, and I hear they kill those who fall behind on production.* Yuri sobs, just a little, holding onto Haoyu. Haoyu glares "I'll kill you if you-" he hears the gun, and sighs. Jane laughs, and looks at Emma "you've ruined your marriage…so, we're selling you to a lab. You'll be a little rat for them to test on!" Emma spits at them "better then staying with you!" Jane Yanks her hair, and sighs "…I'm giving the baby to the man who was going to marry you." Haoyu holds her tight "..her name's Maryanne"
Jane slaps him, and looks at Leo "well…I'm afraid your case is different." She grabs the gun "your guardian paid to have you killed." Leo's eyes widen, and hears the gun fire. He braces for the bullet…but it never comes. He opens his eyes, and is surprised to see Balan standing there "B-Balan?"
The man is holding onto Leo, and he seems to stop the bullet in it's tracks. Leo's eyes widen "…My boy." He muttered "..thank God."
He turns to Emma, and his heart breaks. Quickly, he has the chains wrap around the two adults, gagging them with rags near by, as Lance appears. "Did you find..?! Oh god…" he looks at Emma. Balan walks over the girl "...my dear girl…I'm so sorry." He feels Emma's arms around him and Leo "i-it's alright! I-I'm just so, so glad you're here…" he sighs "…the authorities are on their way. Eis is getting his squadron out here, and Lucy, Cal, and Iben are currently traveling with the police, telling them directions."
Lance runs over to his two kids, and Haoyu and Yuri hug him tightly. A tear rolls down his cheek "…my children,…my dear, dear children…" he muttered, as Yuri sobs "Daddy…it was so scary, i-I'd Thought I'd never see you again! T-they were going…they were going to Kill Haoyu, Daddy!" Haoyu rubs her back and Lance looks up "…they. Were. What?" his voice is soft, but…with a very, very sharp edge to it. "…it didn't happen dad, I'm fine." Haoyu smiles, hugging him. "..they…arranged buyers for us."
Lance glares at them "…be thankful nothing happened to my children." He pulls them close with his tentacles "…or you may not be with us any longer."
Jane sobs behind her gag, as red and blue lights shine through the window.
Timeskip"
It's a few minutes, before Eis walks through the door with Iben. "Balan, Lance!" he grins "you found them-eep!" he's surprised as Yuri tackle hugs him. "Uncle Eis!" she smiles "you found us!"
Iben is a sobbing mess as Maryanne is handed to her "my baby, my baby…." She mutters, kissing her face as the little girl giggles at the contact. Cal runs In with Lucy "Leo!" "Mr. Suresh!" the boy runs over to the other adult, and hugs him "..ow" he muttered, as Cal accidentally touches his bruise.
Emma is hugged a bit gentler by Lucy, until Eis looks over "..we should get these kids to the medical examiner." He hauls Jane and Alexander out, and Balan and Lance, in their human forms, lead them to a medical station set up a few feet away.
Leo looks at Balan "…how'd you find us?* The fae being chuckled "..you can thank Attilio for that. He found your headband, after it had been dropped by one of their Guards. He followed them after they got into their car, it lead him here, and ran to the cops…"
Leo's eyes widen "…at least he didn't get himself hurt." Balan rubs his back ".. he's not the most vocal, and talking to new people scares him, but he would do anything to assure you kids safety."
Emma grins "well have to thank him later!"
The medical exam thankfully concludes there's very few serious injuries. Haoyu has a couple broken fingers, and is sorely disappointed to know we can't fly his plane for a while, and Emma has a sprained wrist. Leo's got a cut on his cheek that will scar up. Otherwise, Everyone seems alright. Haoyu's hand is put in a cast, and Emma's wrist is bandaged, Leo gets a patch for his cut.
Timeskip*
The main group at the theater with in relief as the kids enter. Sana hugs Them all, And Bruce walks over "oh…oh thank goodness. I-I'm so sorry, I didn't do more, please forgive-" Leo hugs him *…it's alright, Grandpa…" Bruce tears up a little as all the kids join in the hug
Attilio walks over, and Haoyu smiles "Tillio!" he gently hugs the other "..you saved us!" Leo smiles,and Yuri hugs him too "..thank you."
The man smiles softly "…o-of course, i-it's not the same without you all." Cass walks up and rubs his back "…we just ordered pizza tonight…are you kids hungry?*
Leo nods, and follows the group into the Theatre's green room, grabbing a few slices of pizza from the box. He looks around, and Sees Everyone talking happily. Apparently, they were gone for the whole day. Fiona is Hugging Haoyu tightly, and Yuri is showing her moth to Jose, Erin, And Lance, who just seem happy to have the kids back. Isiah is sitting in his father's lap, and Petting his sister's hair, who's being held by her mother. Emma is talking with Lucy, who she's leaning against, and Balan is sitting next to leo, not saying much as some Tims gather around his legs.
Before he knows it, after eating and Talking with everyone, it's time to go home. He sits on the train, with Emma and Balan…but looks a bit troubled.
Balan walks over "My boy, are you.. thinking about what happened?" Leo nods his head "yeah…can you….this is weird, but…my dad used to do it..can you sleep in my room tonight, Balan?" he looks at the floor, and doesn't make eye contact. Balan gently ruffles his hair "of course, child."
Emma gently taps Leo's shoulder "..can..can I join?" The boy nods excitedly "of course, Em."
The group arrives at the isle, and Slowly breaks into their own groups. Haoyu tells his dad he'll be in Fiona's world, and Lance nods, as he pets Yuri's hair, who wants to stay with him. Bruce is on the phone with his Daughter, telling her everyone is back safe and sound. Jose and Erin are face timing with their son, and Eis is talking with Sana's dad, while holding Cecil. Sana, Lucy, Savanna, and Cal are dividing up leftovers for lunch. All in all, it's a quiet, normal evening
Eventually, after bidding Everyone good night, Leo walks into his stage, and changes into some soft PJs. He hears a knocking at the door. Emma walks in "hey, Lee. Balan's still coming…he's helping Cass with Something."
Leo's eyes widen, but he lets her (and a few Tims) in. "…hope he's alright…" he helps the Tims into bed, and waits on the couch with Emma. It's not too much longer until Balan knocks on the door "Forgive me, little ones…Cass needed my help." He smiles ".. there's something going on tommorow..but for now, let's get you kids some rest.
He suddenly picks them both up, and magically changes into some PJs, Settling with them both on the bed, humming the Lullaby he and Leo sang. Leo and Emma smile, and slowly drift into sleep.
