So, I'm sorry, guys, I'm sooo baaaaddd.
I thought I could write a lighthearted highschool story, but I guess I couldn't. I apologize for where I'm taking it, some folks might get triggered.
TW: Voyeurism for the chapter.
Also, I decided that Buttercup is bisexual in this AU of mine and kind of a lothario.
Anyway, I hope you somewhat enjoy it at least.
'Fuck. Did I just make this worse?' Blossom anxiously bit one of nails, lowering her hand when she realised what she was doing. It was a disgusting habit, but it kept her anxiety at bay.
'It's really none of your business, Blossom. She doesn't seem the type to drink recklessly AND she's going after him willingly. Can you just drop it already?'
Her eyes couldn't help but follow him around the room as he reached a group of giggling girls.
'Was that him?' Blossom felt a slender arm on her shoulder. She turned her head to see Layla's flawless profile, her eyes fixated on the red rowdyruff as well.
Blossom gulped, avoiding the question.
Layla insisted: 'I saw you talking to him just now. Is that him? Brick?' The name melodiously rolled off her tongue, forcing Blossom to respond to her inquiry.
'Yes, that's him.' Blossom sighed. 'Are you still, um... interested ?'
The corners of Layla's mouth curled into a barely perceptible smile.
'More than ever. Did Taylor get to him yet? ' she replied, a twinkle appearing in her eyes, gaze still glued to Blossom's counterpart.
This made the redhead feel highly uncomfortable, but she couldn't exactly prohibit her from going after him, could she?
'I think he brushed her off earlier. Are you sober, though? I don't think you want to regret this later.'
Layla dismissed her concern with a hand wave as her eyebrows rose in amusement.
'What are you talking about? I only had one drink.'
'I'm just telling you he's not exactly a good guy.'
'I'm not looking for a good guy, Blossom. ' she winked at her, running a hand through her midnight black tresses.
'Do you think you could introduce us?'
Blossom blinked rapidly upon hearing her friend's request , she hadn't expected her to be this forward.
'Sorry, but, you know I'm not on good terms with him, right? I think I made that clear earlier.' Blossom narrowed her eyes at her. 'But, please, know what you're doing. Don't do this unless you're absolutely sure about it.'
'Yes,I'm sorry , I was too eager for a second there. I'll go and introduce myself, then.' she took a step forward and turned around with a beaming smile.' I told you, don't worry about me, I know what I'm doing.'
'Wait...! 'Blossom called out, but her voice was lost in the loud music surrounding them.
She lightly floated just enough to have a clear view of her counterpart as Layla made her way towards him. It wasn't long before she saw the gorgeous girl tap his shoulder, him turning in irritation, but definitely intrigued upon seeing who had dared to capture his attention.
Blossom wondered if she had a chance to listen on their conversation with her superhearing, but realised there was no way she could focus on their chat alone. She noticed Layla flashing him a sultry smile that was definitely hard to resist, lightly touching his hand in a playful manner.
Blossom finally noticed she had started chewing on her nails again and berated herself for being so interested in their conversation.
'Why are you SO NOSY, Blossom? Layla is a grown woman, she can do whatever she wants.'
Blossom gasped when she saw Layla tuck a rogue strand of red hair behind his ear.
'Not your business! Get out of here, now!'
Trying to regain her composure, Blossom dove through the crowd until she reached the terrace again, this time finding more people on it.
Blossom looked around in search of a quieter place to sit, but was surprised to see her sister in the corner with a certain bunny teen, both sipping on a drink.
'What in the...?' Blossom murmured before being interrupted by the unceremonious arrival of her green sister, crashing a hole in the well-tended lawn, creating commotion among the many people on the terrace.
'Don't mind if I...crash this party, do you, guys? ' Buttercup nonchalantly addressed the onlookers as she levitated out of the hole, more people joining from inside to see what the fuss was about. Taylor soon emerged from the crowd, livid with anger.
'What the hell, Buttercup? What the fuck did you do to my lawn?' Taylor waved her hands in exasperation, the many bracelets on her wrists jinglling. 'You're paying for this, you know that, right? That grass took forever to grow.' her voice growing shrill with each consecutive sentence.
'Calm your tits, Taylor.' Buttercup scoffed at her. 'It's only a bit of dirt.'
Taylor still fumed, but clearly didn't want to seem uncool and neurotic to her guests, so she dropped it with a warning.
'Fine, but tomorrow night I want my lawn exactly the way it was before you trashed it.'
'Oh, I don't think your lawn can ever be the same after I trash it.' Buttercup smiled suggestively, causing Taylor to stare at her in confusion before understanding the innuendo and blushing furiously.
Buttercup soon noticed her pink sister standing alone, seemingly lost.
'Hey, Blossom. Fancy seeing you here. How come you were invited to a party?' a glint of amusement passed on the girl's face.
'I'm surprised myself. And surprised that Bubbles didn't tell you already.'
' Eh, you think? I don't talk much to her, either.'
Buttercup casually answered, cracking her knuckles.
'I know, but I thought she might have thought it important enough to tell you.' Blossom smiled, taking in her sister's attire.
Buttercup had always been androgynous, but now she took it to a whole different level. Distressed jeans coupled with a metal band t-shirt, her short shaggy hair that fell into her eyes...
'Wait, is that a new piercing?' Blossom pointed to the side of her lip, where a round silver earring pierced her lip.
'Yea, do you like it? Got it yesterday.' Buttercup pouted her lip at her in excitement.
'The professor's gonna kill you.'
'Pffff, he won't. He's gotten used to it. He's ok with the rest of em now, too.'
Buttercup's ears were, indeed, very pierced, along with her nose and eyebrows.
'I guess you do have a point.' Blossom had to agree. She didn't exactly approve of the many piercings either, but had to admit they looked pretty cool on her sister.
'Anyway, where's Bubbles? She never misses these things.'
Blossom tilted her head to the direction of the corner where Bubbles talked to the blonde Rowdyruff.
'Who's the bunny?' Buttercup asked, trying to discern his features under the shadow of his hood.
Blossom smacked her lips in displeasure.
'The bunny is Boomer.' She stopped to take in Buttercup's reaction.
' Don't ask me what's going on there, I don't know, either. I just noticed them before you came.'
'Huh.' Buttercup scratched her chin. 'Why would she willingly be near him ?'
Blossom felt emboldened by her sister's presence. 'Wanna find out?'
Buttercup looked at the blondes, who seemed even more comfortable with each other's presence, leaning in to talk in a hushed tone.
'I don't know if it's a good idea. Don't wanna rain on their parade.'
'You mean you think it's ok for Bubbles to get that cozy with a Rowdyruff?' Blossom raised an eyebrow at her.
'I mean, I mean, it's Boomer.' Buttercup pointed at him. 'He's basically harmless, you know that. Look at him, he's wearing a fucking bunny suit.'
Blossom had to admit he did look pretty innocent and he'd indeed proven himself to be harmless in the past years.
'Need I remind you who his brothers are?'
Buttercup grimaced as she pondered for a few seconds.
'Eh, fair enough, let's break up the party.' she agreed, joining her sister for the ambush.
Bubbles felt startled as her sisters invaded her conversation with the blue Rowdyruff, the surprise soon turning into embarrassment.
'Hey, Bubbles. Whatcha doing?' Buttercup interrogated her sister, towering over her.
'Hey, guys. Glad to see you here. I was just having a drink with Boomer over here. Hehe.'
'Buttercup nodded to acknowledge Boomer's presence.
'Halloween's not for another 7 months, Boomer.' Buttercup said his name as insultingly as she could.
'Yeah, so what? Thought this onesie was pretty cool, don't you think?' Boomer replied, leaning on the wall, clearly not intimidated.
Buttercup squinted her eyes while looking him up and down with a sour expression, then turned to her redheaded sister defeatedly:
'Yeah, I got nothing. This guy's pretty harmless and cool. I can't really hate him.'
Blossom bit her lip in frustration and muttered under her breath: 'Jesus, Buttercup...'
'C'mon, he's like The Dude from Big Lebowski. I bet you've got home a rug that really ties the room together.' Buttercup attempted to explain herself.
'You bet I do.' the bunny winked, pointing finger guns at them.
'He only needs the white russian to maaaatch! Why aren't you drinking a white russian??'
Buttercup groaned, grasping at his fur.
'Uhhh, they don't have any milk here, I guess?' Boomer replied, looking for an escape route.
'Buttercup, focus!' moaned a frustrated Blossom, massaging her forehead.
'Look, Blossom, we were just having a drink over here, a nice time, you know?' Boomer chimed in. 'Maybe you could try doing the same? Weren't you with a guy earlier?' he asked, scratching under his right bunny ear.
'Yes, Blossom, I saw you with him!' Bubbles added, grabbing her sisters by the arms and forcibly dragging them away. When they were at a safe enough distance she whispered in their ear:
'I'm. just. having. A DRINK!! Don't embarrass me, guys!'
They could feel her nails clawing at their skin, this was annoyed Bubbles, ready-to-burst Bubbles. Looking at each other they silently decided it would be better to leave her alone for the evening.
Instead of pestering her further Buttercup decided to go to the make-shift bar and took her sister with her.
'Do you even like beer?' Buttercup asked as she studied the luke-warm bottle in Blossom's hand. 'There's other stuff you can drink here, you know.' she stopped, eyeing her suspiciously. 'Waaaait, you're not gonna rat out on us, are you?'
'God, I'm not, calm down.' an angry blush crept on Blossom's facem 'Why does everyone keep asking me that?'
'Cause you're a narc, obviously.' Buttercup chuckled. 'So, what's your poison? I personally think you'd like longdrinks more than a beer. I see that Taylor here's got votka and OJ. You love OJ. Want a screwdriver?'
'A 'what'?' Blossom asked, somewhat confused.
'You know...It's a drink. Vodka and OJ.'
'Oh, yeah.' Blossom remembered reading about it in an article about alcohol prohibition in the US.
'I'm making you one.' Blossom protested, but her sister didn't want to take no for an answer.
Buttercup handed her a red cup filled to the brim with the alcoholic mixture.
'C'mon, try it. I slaved all night to make this for you.'
'Took you 5 seconds.'
'I know, shuddup. Just try it, you killjoy.'
Blossom tentatively sipped on the mixture, it was nowhere as bad as she expected, even tho she did feel the alcohol burning in her throat.
'Drink up.' Buttercup insisted.
'You said to just 'try it'.'
'Drink up. Drink up. Drink up.' Buttercup started chanting, and the people next to them joined.
'Drink up! Drink up! Drink up!' everyone chanted, urging her to do it already.
'Oh, God, why...'
Blossom looked around at her classmates who she'd disappointed years ago at a similar party. She couldn't do it again, could she?
It took a bit more chanting until Blossom nodded before drowning down the drink, in everyone's applause. This time it burned more, but Blossom quickly got used to the sensation.
Buttercup immediately poured them both another drink.
'Don't ever do that again!' Blossom hissed under her breath as Buttercup passed her the cup.
'You just needed a bit of peer pressure, that's all. Stop winging.'
Blossom soon felt more relaxed , and more inclined to sip occasionally on the drink Buttercup had given her.
Her mind wandered to events earlier in the evening as she mingled in the crowd with her sister.
'Before you came I hang out with Taylor's cousin.'
'Ah, yeah, Jude. He's ok.' Buttercup snickered before saying 'He came on to you?'
'I guess you could say he did. It was going well before Brick came.' Blossom mimicked gagging while rolling her eyes.
'Of course he'd be here.' Buttercup replied. 'How come you guys didn't gouge out each other's eyes yet?'
'Hm, I don't know. He said he's just here to relax, then he acted weirdly.' Blossom fumbled on her words.
'What did he do?' Buttercup asked, seemingly distracted by the sight of Taylor dragging one of her friends on the kitchen table and starting to seductively dance with her.
Blossom's attention was similarly caught by this display, especially since Taylor had discarded her shirt dramatically and threw it at a certain person in the public.
Said person was Brick who did not expect this sudden display of affection and was hit straight in the face by the rogue piece of fabric. Blossom noticed Layla giggling next to him, her arm encircling hers.
She gingerly grabbed the t-shirt from his face and gave it to Brick, who crimped it up in his hand for the duration of the dance.
Taylor continued with the seductive moves, eventually starting to make out with her friend, ocasionally looking back at Brick. 'Oooohs' and 'aaahs' resonated in the room from the onlookers.
'Fuck, that's hot.' Buttercup whispered as the dance continued.
Blossom noticed that Brick seemed unimpressed, and, as soon as Taylor got off the table, he gave her back the T-shirt and casually waved her goodbye.
Taylor looked positively mortified as he watched him leave her house, hand in hand with Layla. She then angrily grabbed two of her nearby friends and stormed upstairs. Blossom was similarly interested in this development.
'Oh, snap!' Buttercup yelled. 'That's a heart break if I ever see one. Guess Taylor's gonna need a shoulder to cry on.' she darkly chuckled.
'You're not serious, are you..? I think Taylor's straight..? I mean ,I don't know about the show earlier, that just seemed like a desperate attempt to get Brick to notice her. I've only seen her with guys so far.'
'Straight? So's spaghetti until it gets wet.' Buttercup elbowed her in the ribs, causing Blossom to wince in pain.
'About that, isn't that your new friend from school? The girl who left with Brick? She's SUPER hot by the way. '
'Yeah, I know.' Blossom blankly answered as she took another sip of her drink, and then another one. She suddenly felt like she needed it.
' Brick hardly hooks up with anyone, right? But I totally get why he'd choose her, she's gorgeous.'
'Mhm.' Blossom nodded, taking another sip.
'She's been planning to seduce Brick tonight.' Blossom blurted out, and attempted to take another gulp, but realised her cup was empty already.
'Ah, really?' Buttercup seemed intrigued. 'It's clearly working! '
Blossom nodded as she chewed on one of her fingernails. Buttercup drew closer to tell her conspiratively:
'Yeah, so, Imma leave you, sis. I've got some VERY disappointed girls to talk to.'
She soon followed in Taylor's footsteps, not before switching her full cup with Blossom's empty one.
'You look like you need it. You still look a lil' anxious.' Buttercup squeezed her hand before taking off, leaving her sister in the middle of the crowd.
Blossom felt lightheaded and lost, the loud music irritating her. She thought about looking for Jude, but the prospect of shifting through the crowd unnerved her.
However, she did feel a sudden impulse to go after Layla and Brick. Curiosity gnawed at her, she wondered if they were still in the yard or if they'd left already. She took another sip, trying to figure how she could elegantly get out of the room without looking like she'd followed them.
She knew that logically she could use any reason ever for going out in that direction, but paranoia still latched onto her.
I'll just...I'll just tell them that I'm looking for Jude. Or Buttercup. Or someone. It doesn't matter.' She swiftly arrived to the exit, having more of her drink on the way. Blossom tried to casually scan the yard for them, only seeing a few drunk seemingly drunk teenagers lying in the grass and by the pool.
A strange feeling still clawed at her heart, and it made her keep looking. She surrounded the house and levitated away to get a better view of the neighborhood. Layla's yard was huge, the house and pool occupying just a fraction of it. At the very edge of the property lay a treehouse, she remembered it back from the time when they were in elementary school and they used to do tea parties with Taylor and her friends. Blossom thought she heard some faint sounds coming from the trees surrounding it, and she went closer to investigate.
She approached, hearing even louder noises coming from it. As Blossom got even closer she realized she could hear a distinct female voice she could recognize.
Blossom froze in place a few yards away when she realized what she was witnessing. With her back to her, pinned against the wrought-iron railing of the tree house's stairs was Layla, her long black hair unmistakable. Unmistakable were also the small moans of pleasure let out as Brick ravaged her body.
Blossom's position shielded her from Layla's eyes, however, she had no way of escaping her lover's if he chose to look in her direction.
Blossom could barely see Brick's face, his discheveled red hair masked his features as he was caught in a feverish kiss.
Layla's legs were spread apart, her dress nealy disc he used one hand to tease her breasts and the other to touch her between her legs.
His movements were rhythmical, and Blossom could see Layla's body reacting to every stroke. She tried to move, but she found herself glued to the spot, staring at the entwined bodies.
Blossom gulped as she noticed Brick's kiss travelled lower, to Layla's neck. He nibbled and sucked at her sensitive skin, drawing cries of approval as he continued.
Blossom felt her breath quickening, her biggest wish was to burrow herself into the ground as deep as she could. But no, she remained stuck, not able to move a muscle, her eyes fixed on her counterpart's face.
Suddenly, his eyes opened and Blossom found herself staring back into his shocked blood red orbs.
A myriad of emotions passed over his face as he stopped his kiss: utter shock, confusion, disbelief. Blossom could feel his eyes piercing through her, expecting to see some sort of response. She had no idea what her own eyes reflected back to him, but he must have seen something that amused him, because, after the shock wore off, he flashed her a strange smile as he continued kissing her friend.
He chose to keep nibbling on her collarbone and shoulder as he continued pleasuring her with his hands. This allowed him to keep his gaze fixed on Blossom as the brunette quivered under his touch.
Blossom felt like suffocating as this exchange continued, and a strange but not unpleasant feeling rose into the pit of her stomach. Her senses heightened: she could feel a bead of sweat travelling down her neck, see the subtle twitches of pleasure in Layla's body, hear the little nothings she whispered in Brick's ear.
'Yes...More.'
Her mouth captured his in a deep, explorative kiss, her hands roaming across his body. His eyes closed, but Blossom could see the same smirk adorned his face, as if he knew she hadn't left yet.
When the kiss ended he opened his eyes again to face Blossom, and whispered in Layla's ear:
'I'm gonna make you come now.'
Blossom could tell his strokes had quickened, as Layla's movements became more erratic, buckling her hips together.
'No, spread your legs more. Don't be afraid, I'll hold you if your they shake too much.'
He picked her up like she was nothing and placed her on the metal railing, the hand that had touched her breasts now cupping her bottom for a firmer grip as she spread her legs wider for him.
Blossom felt moisture pooling between her legs as she continued watching. It didn't help that Brick pinned her down with his gaze, smirking as his partner's moans grew more intense.
'Oh, God.' Blossom noticed Layla's legs had started uncontrollably twitching.
'Shhhhh... Don't be so loud.'
'Oh, God. Oh, God.' Brick held her in place as he continued with the rhythm.
'I'm coming. Oh, fuck.' Blossom noticed her breathing had gotten more and more erratic as she reached her peak. She wished more than anything for the ground to open before her and swallow her up, but couldn't help herself from fixating on Brick's face and Layla's reactions.
Layla soon finished, her body suddenly relaxing as she steadied herself on Brick's shoulders.
Blossom let out a small gasp as he slowly licked on the fingers that he used to pleasure the girl, whispering in her ear loud enough for Blossom to hear:
'You taste great. Wanna try? ' before catching her lips in a slow but deliberate kiss, suddenly opening his eyes and making a dismissive hand gesture at Blossom, as if to swat an intrusive fly away.
Blossom understood his signal, but still couldn't move an inch, panic now swelling in her chest.
Brick gave her a curious, annoyed look while he continued with the kiss.
Layla soon broke it, playfully grabbing on the hem of his t-shirt.
'Don't you want me to return the favour?'
'How about doing something else instead...? I'll take you somewhere more...private, but you have to let me blindfold you.' Brick suggested playfully, a worried look in his eyes when he realized Blossoms still had no intention of leaving.
'Hah, that's a bit dangerous.' Layla chuckled.
'I thought you're pretty adventurous.' he said, already ripping a long piece of fabric from his shirt.
Layla grabbed the piece from his hands and wrapped it around her head, covering her eyes.
'They do know where to find me if something goes wrong, you know. The Powerpuffs. Everyone's seen me leave with you.'
Brick quickly waved a hand in front of her face to check if she'd tied it hard enough. She didn't flinch.
'Yes, I know. You already told me you're friends with dear Blossom.'
'We're friendly, yes.'
'Tell me, what would Blossom say if she knew I fingered you in Taylor's treehouse?' Brick slyly asked, winking at the redhead a few yards away.
Layla's voice erupted in cristalline laughter:
'She'd be scandalized, obviously. But she would have seen it coming.'
Brick seemed confused:
' How so?'
'Well' Layla teased him, grabbing one of his hands and bringing it to her mouth:
'She told me some things about you that got me...intrigued.'
'Like what?' Brick eagerly asked, giving Blossom a passing glance.
'That you're...bad to the bone. A really dangerous villain.'
It was Brick's turn to laugh.
'It was cute, really... She got all worked up. Made you sound so interesting, so I decided I wanted to know you better.'
'She's not wrong, you know. I am dangerous.'
'I know. But sweet nerds like her gets intimidated while I...' she grabbed him closer, pulling him in for another kiss 'thrive.'
'Let's get out of here, then. We'll fly, gets us there faster.'
Layla giggled as Bricks swept her off her feet, giving Blossom one last amused glance before leaving.
