Hey guys I know its been a long time and I'm sorry for that but here is chapter 7. Hope you all enjoy! I really do appreciate you all!
Yugi groaned as he started to wake up. Slowly opening his eyes he winced from the light. Fuck did his whole body hurt. He took a moment before trying to sit up.
"No Yugi." Yami was suddenly next to him. "Stay lying down."
"Don't touch me." Yugi growled.
Yami sighed. "I'll let Atem know you are awake. Don't move." He stood and left.
Yugi laid there staring at the ceiling. Damn he needed to get out. He couldn't wait around for the vampire to come back and suck him dry. Slipping his legs out from under the blanket he started to stand up. He winced as the floor came up to meet him.
"Yugi!" Malik's arms were suddenly around him. "Lie down."
"Malik?" Yugi looked at him as Malik laid him back down. "What are you doing here?"
"I…." Malik trailed off. He glanced behind him where Yugi now noticed the vampire called Marik. He looked down. "Can we have some time alone?"
"No." Marik said coldly as he crossed his arms.
Yugi glared at him. "Fuck off leach."
Marik's eyes narrowed at him. "Watch your tone human."
"Yugi." Malik said softly. "Please don't."
Yugi looked to Malik. He blinked as he saw a gold collar around Malik's neck. "You bastard." He growled at Marik.
"You have quite the mouth on you." Marik growled.
"Yugi no. Don't." Malik said. "I'm fine."
"The hell you are! He collared you!" Yugi yelled.
"What's going on in here?" A woman asked as she walked in with Atem and Yami following close behind.
"Your human is being mouthy." Marik glared at Yami.
"I'm gonna kill you!" Yugi yelled at Marik.
"Everyone calm down." Atem said calmly. "Yugi stay put. Don't make force you."
"Malik come." Marik ordered.
Malik sighed before going to him. He stared down as they walked out.
"Yugi you need to watch how you speak to vampires around here. Not everyone enjoys your attitude." Yami explained as he sat down next to Yugi's bed.
"Fuck you. Let me go kill the bastard and he won't need to worry about my attitude. And Malik will be free." Yugi growled at Yami.
"Yugi that's enough." Atem ordered.
"Like I'll listen to you." Yugi spat at him. "You're a leach just like him and your mate."
Yami sighed. "We aren't here to hurt you. Nor will Marik hurt Malik."
"Like hell he won't! He collared him! Made Malik his pet!" Yugi growled.
"Yugi please calm down. You have been out for days. We've been worried about you." Yami said.
Yugi snorted. "I won't be staying."
"You aren't going anywhere Yugi." Atem said. "You were hurt once."
"And clearly I made it through just fine." Yugi said.
"Yugi you are not leaving." Atem growled.
"That's what you think." Yugi muttered.
"That's enough. Atem out." Yami pointed at the door. "Now."
Atem glared but left.
The woman shook her head to herself. "Yugi I am going to exam you. I just want to make sure the wound is healing."
"Don't touch me." Yugi glared at her. "I don't need a vampire healing me."
"I am not a vampire." She said. "I am Isis and I am fully human. I was hired by the king and queen to care for you due to your mistrust of vampires."
Yugi narrowed his eyes at her. "You still aren't touching me. Doing business with blood suckers is reason enough to not trust you."
"You can do this being awake and watching my every move or I can sedate you. Your choice." Isis said.
Yugi huffed. "Fine."
Malik stared down at the floor as Marik paced. He hated when Marik got like this. It made him very uneasy.
"Malik your friend is very rude." Marik growled.
Malik just nodded in response. Yugi had always been that way towards vampires. After losing his parents to them Yugi wouldn't let anyone in let a vampire.
"Do you not have anything to say for it?" Marik asked.
"I don't know what you expect me to say." Malik said honestly. "You didn't help the matter." He muttered.
"Watch your tone." Marik growled.
"Or what? You'll drain me? Be my guest." Malik snapped at him as he stood. "It's not as though I'll ever see my sister again! So please drain me!" Before he knew it he was pinned to the wall by his throat. He glared up at Marik who had his hand wrapped around it.
"That's enough." He warned. "Malik I don't want to hurt you."
"Bullshit. Come on just do it!" Malik yelled at him. "Kill me!"
Marik growled before dropping him. "You can go without food today." He said before left. Malik heard the door lock as usual.
"I hate you." Malik said just above a whisper as he pulled his knees up and hugged them to his chest.
Yugi stared at the ceiling. He needed a chance to get out of here and get to Malik. But that damn leach king put two vampire guards at his door and he had no doubt their was no way he could get out the windows. Damn he was stuck.
"Yugi dinner." Yami entered with a tray of food.
"Not hungry." Yugi muttered before he rolled over so his back was to Yami.
"You need to eat." Yami argued.
"No. I don't." Yugi said. A moment later his stomach growled loudly.
"Your body is saying the opposite." Yami sounded as if he was smirking.
Yugi ignored him. There was no way in hell he was taking food from a couple leaches. He didn't wish to die that badly.
"Eat it or I'll find a way to make you eat." Yami warned.
"Do it." Yugi challenged as he sat up.
"Yugi eat!" Yami growled.
"No." Yugi crossed his arms. He then had an idea. "I'll eat.."
Yami relaxed. "Good."
"If Malik comes to my room and stays with me." Yugi finished. He kept his face stern. He wasn't backing down.
"Yugi come on be reasonable." Yami sighed.
"He doesn't come then I don't eat." Yugi smirked at him. "How stubborn are you Leach? Because I'm sure I am more stubborn than you."
Yami narrowed his eyes at Yugi. "You'll have to eat eventually." He set the tray down on a nearby table. "Isis said you're strong enough to walk so when you give in come eat your food."
Yugi glared at him as the vampire walked out. He glanced at the food before shaking his head and lying back down. He'd rest for now.
"Yugi come on it's been three days! Eat!" Atem ordered at him.
"No. I told you along with Yami over and over. Not until Malik comes and stays with me." Yugi said. He'd accepted water from Isis who go figure was growing on him. The only reason he'd taken that was because if it was poisoned he could smell it or taste it.
"Yugi this isn't a joke! You have to eat!" Yami said.
"I said no!" Yugi glared at them. "So unless you bring me Malik fuck off!"
Atem growled as his hands clenched into fists. "Yami go get Marik."
"Atem?" Yami asked hesitantly. Yugi knew between the two of them Yami was definitely the more calm one.
"Go." Atem ordered. Yami sighed before leaving.
Yugi stared Atem in the eyes. He wasn't about to stand down no matter how scary Atem got. Atem crossed his arms and stared back.
"You will eat by the end of today." Atem said sternly.
Yugi narrowed his eyes at him.
"You sent for me." Marik said as he walked with Yami.
"Bring Malik here. He must stay in this room from now on." Atem said.
Yugi blinked shocked. He won? He actually won?
"Excuse me?" Marik snarled.
"Marik he must." Atem said.
"Your reason being?" Marik asked.
"When was the last time Malik ate?" Atem asked. "Willingly."
Marik remained silent.
"Well?" Yami asked.
"When he was allowed…two days ago. I had his meal made but he wouldn't eat anything." Marik said defeated.
"I bet if he was allowed to be in here with Yugi all the time that would change. For both of them." Atem said.
"Both?" Marik asked.
"Yugi has not eaten since he awoke." Yami said.
"I'm right here." Yugi growled.
Marik sighed. "Then what? Do you honestly believe we can trust two of the most deadly vampire killers together in one room?"
"We have it heavily guarded. They will not be causing any issues. But…" Atem pulled him aside so Yugi couldn't hear what they were saying. He narrowed his eyes at them.
"So tell me Yugi. I understand why humans hate vampires. But why do YOU hate them?" Yami asked.
Yugi's eyes snapped to him. "None of your business."
"Perhaps I can fix it." Yami said.
Yugi glared with a deadly look in his eyes. "Go to hell."
"Fine." Marik sighed. "I will bring him. I hope you are right about this."
Yugi looked at them as Marik left. Atem came over with the newest tray of food. Yugi raised an eyebrow at him. He expected him to eat now?
"Eat." Atem answered his thought.
"Not till Malik gets here. That's the deal." Yugi said. "Why don't you take your fuck buddy and leave. I hate the look of his face right now. And therefore yours as well."
"You look like us." Atem pointed out dryly.
"Yes good thing there's no mirrors around right now." Yugi said.
Yami shook his head. "I'll go but Atem is staying. Someone needs to make sure you eat "
"Don't trust my word leach?" Yugi asked.
"Trust is earned." Yami said.
"Follow your own words then." Yugi said snidely.
Yami opened his mouth like he was about to say something but then closed it. He shook his head as he left.
"Do you ever intend on using our names?" Atem asked as he sat down.
"I don't get the names of those I kill." Yugi looked away.
"You intend to kill us?" Atem asked
"Now why ever would I want to do that?" Yugi feigned innocence.
Atem's eyes narrowed.
"Could it be because of the thousands of humans you enslaved? Drained? Or could it be for the ones you blatantly killed because they resisted your egotistical ass?" Yugi asked.
"Yugi I understand our ways of coming out to the world was wrong." Atem said. Yugi snorted and shook his head. "But we are trying to fix things."
"Wanna fix it? Kill yourselves off." Yugi said cruelly.
"Now how would that solve things? Vampires have children as well. You want us to harm our own children?" Atem asked.
"You killed and harm hundreds of human children a day. Or is because we are seen as lower life than you?" Yugi asked. "Nothing you do or say can change what your species did to us. What they did to me." He muttered the last sentence.
"To you? What do you mean?" Atem asked.
Yugi shook his head. "Fuck off."
They fell into silence. How could Atem possibly think they could fix all they had done? What say a couple apologies? He pictured Atem standing in front of a giant crowd of humans speaking 'Sorry for the literal hell we put you through but we still need to suck your life essence.' He snorted to himself.
"Something funny?" Atem asked.
"Yugi." Malik's voice came before his friend ran over to him and pulled him into a tight hug. Yugi held him. "Oh Yugi." He sniffled.
"Shhh. Breathe. It's ok. I'm ok. But don't cry. Don't let them see you cry." Yugi held him tightly.
Malik wiped his eyes. "I was so worried about you."
"I am ok." Yugi said as he saw Atem stand from the corner of his eyes. He went ridged and watched him closely.
"Here." Atem gave him a tray of food as Marik gave one to Malik.
"No. He isn't eating that." Yugi said. "You want us to eat then make us something we eat."
"And what would that be?" Atem asked through clenched teeth.
"I need meat and Malik does not eat meat." Yugi said.
"I have no concept of this." Marik asked.
Malik stared down purposely avoiding his eyes. "You never asked what I wanted to eat. Just forced food on me." He muttered.
"We will have your food ready in a half hour." Atem said before he and Marik left. Yugi heard the door lock.
"So what type of lock do they use?" Yugi asked.
"Don't bother. I tried. It's a vampire lock." Malik sighed. "I wish I knew how Ryou and Jou are."
"We will see them again. I will not allow them to keep us all apart. And you will see your family again as well." Yugi said
"But how?" Malik asked.
"Leave that to me." Yugi said. "Get this, mister king leach wants to make up for everything the vampires did to humans."
"They've been talking about new laws and such. A ton of leaves me locked up when he goes to them. Says he doesn't trust other vampires not to try to take me." Malik said. "I hate him so much. I wish he'd just end it."
"No. Don't think like that. What would Ishizu and Odion say?" Yugi asked.
Malik sighed. "I miss them so much."
"I know." Yugi said thinking of his grandfather and parents. Though he had a different pain. Malik still had his family.
Yugi finished his food and watched Malik eat. He nodded. Malik needed to be taken care of. It wasn't as though Malik was helpless but Yugi being who he was felt the need to protect him. He wouldn't let Malik be hurt in any way.
"There. We ate. Now fuck off." He glared at both Marik and Atem.
"Your human has an attitude problem." Marik said.
"I am not his human!" Yugi snapped.
"Yugi enough." Atem ordered.
"Oh fuck you." He growled at the vampire. "Go to hell."
Atem stood and went to him. Yugi tensed as Atem leaned forward and close to his ear. "Fuck me huh? Why don't we do just that?"
Yugi gulped and paled.
"How about it huh? Want to have some fun?" Atem asked lowly.
"Yugi?" Malik asked confused.
"G-Get away from me." Yugi stuttered.
"Oh but you're the one who keeps saying fuck you. Seems like an offer to me." Atem smirked at him as he lifted Yugi's chin. "So how 'bout it?"
Yugi whimpered a bit. "Stop."
Atem looked him up and down. "No I suppose we must wait till you are healed completely." He let Yugi go.
Yugi gulped as he watched Atem walk away. He let out a shaky breath.
"Yugi?" Malik asked again. "What did he say?"
Yugi shook his head trying to shove it out of his head. Malik took his hand and held it.
Atem watched them before nodding to Marik. "We have a meeting."
"Oh Ra." Marik groaned. "Another one?"
"This is the one with our guests." Atem said.
Marik's groan turned to a growl. "The mutts."
"Marik we must." Atem said.
Yugi listened to them intently.
"Fine." Marik to Malik and kissed him on the head. Malik flinched away. "I'll be back my sun."
Malik stared down and just nodded. Marik left.
Atem went to Yugi. "Behave. Isis will be by later to check your bandages." He set a hand on Yugi's head. Yugi slapped it off. He glared at Atem as the vampire left.
Ryou followed Bakura and Akefia into the large room. He stared down as he did. Jou wasn't far behind with the wolves who took him. And thankfully the two of them were ok but he couldn't help but worry about Yugi and Malik. Honestly if he died he'd be fine with that as long as everyone else was taken care of.
"Ryou what do you think we're doing here?" Jou asked as he was brought up next to him.
"I don't know. Just keep your guard up." Ryou said.
"Ryou come here." Bakura ordered. Ryou gulped and went to him. Bakura pulled him into his lap and held him there. "Behave and remain silent." He said in Ryou's ear. Ryou gulped and nodded.
"Welcome. Now to begin the renewal of the old treaty." Atem said.
Ryou blinked. They were coming to peace?
"Why now?" Akefia asked.
"The humans." Yami said. "Vampires and Wolves have made a mess of this world. And we need to fix it."
Ryou felt movement and glanced back to see Bakura nodding.
"And you suddenly care for them why?" Akefia asked.
"It has come to our attention what we have been doing." Atem said. "Look at them for example." He pointed to Ryou and Jou. "They are terrified."
Ryou gulped and stared at the floor. He couldn't speak. Who knew what Bakura would do to him. But instead of harsh words he felt a hand rub his back gently. Blinking he felt extremely confused.
"Alright then what do we do?" Akefia asked.
Yugi watched Malik sleep. Gods knew how long it'd been since Malik slept peacefully. He hated seeing his friend in such pain.
"Yugi." He looked up to see Yami.
Yugi looked away but held Malik close
"We have a surprise for you." Yami said.
Yugi didn't pay attention until a familiar voice reached his ears.
"Yugi." Ryou came in with Jou.
"Ryou! Jou!" Yugi said.
Ryou ran to him and hugged him. "You're ok!"
Malik squirmed between them as he woke up. "Yugi what's happening?"
"Malik." Ryou smiled softly.
"Ryou!" Malik jumped and hugged him. "Thanks the gods you're ok."
Jou went to them. "Yug."
"Hey Jou." Yugi nodded to him. "What are you two doing here?"
"We brought them." Bakura walked in. "Atem told us you got hurt."
"I'm fine." Yugi muttered.
"Yugi." Ryou said softly. "Who did it?"
"My favorite person in the whole world." Yugi said sarcastically.
"Heba." Jou growled.
"Heba did this?" Bakura asked. "Wait how do you know him?"
"They're cousins." Ryou said quietly.
"What?" Bakura looked at him shocked. Yugi looked from him to the two very pissed looking vampires standing in the door way. What had he just done?
