Ch 7
Iron-Man looked at the hideout's computer and found out that Living Laser was coming right for him. Then the building shook and the lights went out. Again. Suddenly, a blue photon beam hit Iron-Man, sending him crashing through the wall. Iron-Man got back up and saw Living Laser towering over him.
"I knew they couldn't kill you so it looks like I have to do everything myself." Living Laser said.
Living Laser prepared to finish Iron-Man with a laser but Iron-Man sent Living Laser flying with a repulsor-powered kick before following up with punches and repulsor blasts. Living Laser recovered before he rammed Iron-Man at lightspeed through several walls and into another room full of scientific equipment.
"So what's your evil plan now?" Iron-Man asked. "All your friends are dead."
Iron-Man fired a Unibeam but Living Laser only absorbed the energy before firing it back at him. Iron-Man had the good sense to roll away just in time as the beam scorched the floor.
"When I kill you, I will upload my mind into your body and then I will be a regular human again!
Living Laser said before sending a barrage of photon beams at Iron-Man. Iron-Man stopped the lasers with missiles before he fired his EM Charge Cannon. That seemed to work as it shocked Living Laser with electricity, causing the villain to scream in agony. Iron-Man kept firing his EM Charge Cannon, driving back Living Laser one step at a time.
"Stop it!" Living Laser growled.
He sent Iron-Man flying with a backhand before kicking him in his helmet. The blow was so hard that Iron-Man saw stars in his eyes for a moment before he recovered and dodged a photon beam from Living Laser. For the next minutes of the fight, Iron-Man and Living Laser kept firing repulsor blasts and photon beams at each other, dodging and flying on the room. Neither one of them could gain the upper hand in this fight, though.
"You're always arrogant and self-conceited. You think you're better than everyone else. Now it's my turn." Living Laser said.
Living Laser gathered all his energy and was about to send a particularly powerful photon shockwave at Iron-Man. Iron-Man saw the move before it even happened. Iron-Man used both of his metal-clad arms to block the photon shockwave, sending it back at Living laser. The photon energy had burnt Iron-Man's suit but it was nothing compared to what it did to Living Laser. He screamed as energy erupted around him, his body being slowly destroyed by too much photon energy. Then the explosion came and Iron-Man ducked as waves of photon energy leveled the place. Iron-Man was able to get out of the rubble and flew off, victorious. He'd doubted he'd seen the last of Living Laser but that didn't matter. What mattered the most was that Iron-Man had finally won.
