What-If Bardock Convinced the Sayains: Season 2, Chapter 7

Metal Fury, One Too Many!

It all happened in an instant. No one could react, as they could only watch as their frontrunner was launched into the city below, unaware of his condition. But what's more alarming is that a second later, Vitella was the first that launched herself at this foe.

In her sudden adrenaline rush, she tries to land a punch on this trucker-hatted fiend. But punching really hard isn't as straightforward with this Android.

He simply steps to the side, and just when Vitella's punch overshot, he grabbed her by the hair and brought her up to his eye level with a fearsome grin.

"Ooh, feisty little thing, aren't ya'?" He tightens his grip on her hair, making Vitella yelp in pain, drops her and brings up a hard knee to her gut.

Vitella's face goes into shock before her body quickly going limp. She slides off the Androids knee onto the ground.

He looks down at her. "You should take a rest, little miss."

"VITELLA!" Gohan screamed as he's the next to charge.

"No! Gohan, wait!" Raditz yelled out, but it was too late.

A sudden kick straight into Gohans temple, from nowhere, sends him careening down into the mountain they were standing on, causing the ground beneath our fighters to collapse.

"W-what was that?" asked a horrified Krillin.

In the collapsed mountain below, Gohan is stirring, trying to get back on his feet but a foot slams onto his back, forcing him to the ground. This foot belonged to a short man wearing a large hat and tie with the insignia of the Red Ribbon Army.

He pushed his foot in harder, causing Gohan to wince profusely. "Best listen to what 13 has to say, kid. Cause we won't hesitate to kill every one of you."

Meanwhile, in all the chaos, Yamcha has his priorities straight, quickly carrying a shaken Bulma and a crying baby Trunks down to ground level, avoiding the carnage.

"You ok? Nothing broken?" Yamcha asked frantically.

They both land, but Bulma was still in a daze. Yamcha gave her a slight shake. "Bulma!"

"Huh, what?" Bulma snaps out of it. "Y-yeah, we're fine, Yamcha, thank y—!" She cuts herself off as she noticed something behind Yamcha.

"Ok, now get outa here!" Yamcha begins to turn back towards the action. "I'm serious, Bul—agh!" As he went forward, he slams himself into what he thought was a solid metal wall, but he quickly realized otherwise.

In front of Yamcha, with his back turned to him, was a tall and large pale man with a black ponytail. He was wearing a brown shoulder pauldron and a green cloak on his lower body.

The man didn't react to Yamcha bumping into him, other than giving a cold solitary glance towards them before reverting his gaze towards the battle. A second later, he took off towards the city, leaving a small shockwave of force sending Bulma and Yamcha on their backs.

Yamcha quickly looked back to Bulma, who only has terror on her face.

Before taking off back up to the group, Yamcha says one last thing to her. "Leave, now!"

While flying back up, many things were going through Yamcha's head. Fear, anger, surprise, all were coalescing into the fact that the Androids were far worse than they had thought.

Krillin notices Yamcha coming up from behind. "Yamcha, glad your alright, man! Where's Bulma?"

"Getting the hell outa here, I hope." Yamcha looked down at the crumbling buildings below.

Raditz growled at everything happening. Then in a roar, he powers up to Super Saiyan once more. "I'm going after the purple one!" He quickly looks at the group. "Baldy, give Gohan and Vitella those bean things. Other than that? I don't care what you people do!"

Raditz charges into the fray, leaving our Earthlings and two Namekians in the air.

A moment of silence passes before Tein speaks up. "So was he talking to Kami, Piccolo, Krillin, or me?"

"Probably me," Krillin realizes. He rummaged through his gi and pulled out a small brown bag. "Yajirobe swung by a little bit ago, and we only have about twelve Senzu Beans. So, be sure not to die out there, heh…" Krillin chuckles nervously.

Krillin begins to follow Raditz's lead, flying down to where Gohan is still under the Android's foot.

"I haven't properly introduced myself yet, haven't I, kid?" says the Android, continuing to put pressure on Gohan. He leans down towards Gohan's agonizing face. "Names 15, Android 15."

15 lifts his foot, leans back, and kicks Gohan in the side of his ribs, sending him flying across into a pile of rubble.

Gohan tries to get back up to his feet, but the pain from his broken ribs causes him to fall on his knees and hands. His whole body is trembling; he's never been in an actual fight before. In fact, he never even planned on fighting. He just wanted to be by his dad's side, but at the moment that Gohan saw Vitella's body going limp from that—that Redneck's knee? Something just snapped, and he flung himself in.

"So… this is a life-or-death fight." Gohan thought himself.

Gohan looked back up to Android 15, only to find shock and fear come over him as 15's hand was directly aimed in Gohan's direction. With a faint glow beginning to develop in its palm.

"Be sure to remember my name when you get to HFIL." A ki blast then sparked to life. "I want to sure and get that street cred."

Before 15 could release the Ki blast, a sudden kick to the Androids temple by Raditz also sends him flying. Only this time through multiple buildings. Gohan feels a sense of karma for a split second from this.

Raditz comes to his nephew's side, trying to handle him steadily. "Easy, you got it pretty rough."

"N-no, I can still help." Gohan coughs weakly.

"Best you sit this one out," Raditz says to him.

Gohan didn't realize it at first, but now since the ringing in his ears had subsided, he could hear the screaming and explosions going off in the city.

Raditz also takes notice of this. "And maybe you could help those weaker Earthlings get to safe ground, out of our way."

Krillin then arrives, coming up behind Raditz, offering to take Gohan. "I leave him to you," said Raditz.

Raditz flies off towards the destruction that his kick caused.

"You can count on me," Krillin says under his breath.

Krillin turns his attention back to Gohan; he presents a bean to him. "Try to eat this. It'll get you up and moving."

Gohan takes it, and a moment later, Gohan's eyes go wide flies up to his feet in surprise. "Woah, this is—WOW!" He exclaims.

Krillin smiles. "Yeah, Senzu Beans will do that!"

Gohan was now jumping in place, totally pumped up. A little more so than Krillin realized. "Ah, I feel great! I feel… Wait, where's Vitella?"

Krillin froze. "She… was laying on the ground when the mountain came down..." he said nervously.

Gohan grabbed Krillin. "We gotta find her!"

Krillin nodded frantically. "Of course! You start here, and I'll go over there. Remember to sense for power levels!"

"Right!"

The pair start to sweep the area for a buried Vitella.

Meanwhile, in the rubble of a crashed building, with civilians running in all directions in panic and confusion, Android 15 recovers from Raditz's kick.

He gets to his feet and shakes off the dust from his bowtie. "Hairy bastard."

Across the street from another collapsed building landed Raditz.

He looks at the Android before him and can't help but be impressed. "Gotta say, it looks like that doctor made you pretty sturdy." He crosses his arms with a smug smile. "I'll just have to hit you harder then!"

15 sighs and reaches into his jacket. "Gonna get bloody knuckles then, tall stuff." He pulls out a flask and takes a drink from it.

Both fighters stand their ground as 15 finishes what may be his last drink. The area goes quiet with Goku's and Android 13's battle as background noise. A single piece of rubble falls to the ground and breaks the silence. Then in an instant, the two charge at each other.

Back with Goku's battle, he was able to regain his ground against his Android opponent. Being able to fight off 13's onslaught. However, being in a populated and unevacuated city is causing distractions for Goku. He's constantly on the lookout for civilians that could get hurt from the chaos. So obviously, 13 would exploit this, veering Goku towards areas that weren't already exploding.

Right now, 13 had cornered him and flung him into a burger joint. Goku crashes through a window and into a table that still had some food on it. A half-eaten burger falls on his lap.

13 lands right outside in the parking lot and laughs. "Ya' know! I'm not one to grant last requests. But ask nicely, then I might just let ya' finish that there slice of beef, haha!"

As tempting as that offer was, Goku instead got up to his feet, getting ready to charge at him again. The burger sadly sliding off and plopping to the floor.

But while getting up, he noticed that the surrounding area still had people trying to get away. So attacking the Android now could have consequences.

Goku needed to buy a little time, so he got to talking. "Why are you doing this?" Goku asked.

13 rolled his eyes. "Ah now—if you wanted to spark conversation, why go for the most cliche'? It's simple, Goku; the late Dr. Gero created us so we can kill you, and that's what we're gonna do!"

"So then you're not alone?"

"Yep! Me and two of my compatriots are out for your head. They're also three more of us, but I don't know what they're doing right now. Told me that they'd watch on the sidelines while we kill your ass."

Goku's eyes go wide. "I—I thought there were only two Androids!?"

13 raised an eyebrow. "You thought? So, you were expectin' us?"

Goku now stumbled with his words and tried to play aloof. "W—what? No! I don't know about any Androids!"

13 blinked, then gave a slight chuckle. "Well, in any case, it don't matter what you know or don't know. You die either way!" He begins walking at Goku.

Goku, looking around, saw that the area wasn't fully cleared out yet. He needed more time. "Yeah, well… Wait, you said the 'late doctor' does that mean he's dead?"

13 stopped, and he narrowed his eyes at the Saiyan. "Why all this talk for?" He then began to notice Goku's constant glancing around.

Following his gaze, the Android started to notice the people around as well. "Ooooh… I see. You care about these humans, don't ya? Don't want them gettin' in the way?" 13 raised his arm to his side, aiming straight at a plump man trapped in his car by debris. "Well, I could remedy that problem for ya'!" He charged a ki blast and fired it.

Goku lept into action as he swiftly got into the trajectory of the blast and kicked it far off into the sky. It explodes in the distance.

13 laughs. "You must be pretty good at kickball!" He began to charge another ki blast, only this one larger and glowed red. "Then try this one, boy!" 13 lets it loose at Goku.

This one was different from the last blast, but Goku did kick it, only this time it didn't explode in the air; it began coming back straight down for him. He lept up into the air, trying to deflect it again to the side, but it still was tracking him.

As Goku began to dart all around the city's skyline, trying to escape, he just couldn't. So he tried the next best thing. He ascended into the sky, far up into the sky, trying to gain enough distance away from the city below.

When he stopped, he threw out his hands, preparing for this crimson ball. It got closer and closer and closer until it finally made contact.

The energy emanating from the blast began to singe Goku's hands as he winced out in pain. It began to envelop him, the pain now becoming agonizing, and in the last moment of its detonation, Goku's eyes sparked blue.

Boom. The sky turned red for one moment before quickly dissipating.

13, still on the ground looking at the spectacle, crossed his arms in satisfaction, believing that the mission was accomplished. He closed his eyes as a sly smile came across his face.

A second later, without warning, an alert appeared in his eyes, detecting something coming at him at high speed! Then came a gut punch that launched 13 into the sky. For a moment, 13 was unresponsive. However, he quickly came to and halted himself mid-air.

13 looked ahead of himself and grinned menacingly. "Looks like we'll get to have more fun after all..."

What was in front of him was Goku, now cloaked as a Super Saiyan.

He stared down 13, stoned-faced. "Playing with the lives of innocent people…" Goku then roared out, letting loose more of his energy. "IS SOMETHING I CAN NEVER FORGIVE!"

13 grinned more wickedly, excited at the new fire he lit under his opponent. "THEN I GUESS IT'S ROUND TWO, COUNTRY BOY!" 13 yelled back.

The pair charge at each other with the full pressure of their powers being displayed.

Meanwhile, back with our other group of fighters, they are just in absolute awe at the two battles being waged in the sky with Goku and on the ground with Raditz.

Never before has there been a feeling of uselessness of themselves on the battlefield, but it was slowly setting in.

And Yamcha is the one to question it first. "So uhh… Why is it that we're here?" He said aloud.

"We're here to fight, Yamcha!" Answered a baffled Tien.

Yamcha looked at Tien with an enthusiastic yet nervous smile on his face. "I mean—it looks like our golden boys can handle this… Right?"

Kami wasn't convinced. "All the same; we must stand by in case we are needed."

The one to stay quiet through all of this was Piccolo. Who is silently getting frustrated at the powers being thrown about in front of him. Watching this battle made it feel that all that training that he and Kami had done on Planet Namek had been for nothing. Even after having their potential unlocked by the dragon Porunga as a parting gift by their Namekian brethren felt like it was being wasted.

To Piccolo, it's as if the three years of training were a waste of time. And he would not have it.

Piccolo straightens up, looking directly at Goku's battle with 13. "If there's anyone who's to kill that man…" Piccolo powers up. "It's going to be me!" he yells as he begins to charge into the battle as well.

Kami tries to stop him but is only able to get in a grunt of disapproval. He looks back to the group. "Well, we can't have him throwing his life away, come on!" Kami powers up to give pursuit.

Tien follows without hesitation, and Yamcha gives a scared groan as he joins him.

The four fighters close in; Piccolo stops abruptly.

Kami comes up from behind. "Piccolo, what—" Kami's gaze followed Piccolo's, then he understood.

"Oh no, not you again!" Yamcha complained.

It was the same pale man from before that now blocks their path forward. He never says anything other than giving a narrowing glare at the group.

"I thought there were supposed to be two androids," Tien says.

"Hrrrrn… Well, someone doesn't have their facts right!" Piccolo growls.

Yamcha goes forward to Kami. "I didn't notice before, but I can't sense anything from this guy."

"Mmm, makes sense," Kami mused. "These aren't organic beings; therefore, they wouldn't be able to exude life energy that we're used to sensing."

"It looks like he's not gonna let us pass," Yamcha states the obvious.

"Fine by me." Piccolo takes off his demon clothes and turban and tosses them to the city below. "Might finally get to do something!"

Piccolo is the first to go on the offensive, with the rest following behind him, and the Android just awaits the fighters. Unmoved by their vigor.

Up, high above in the sky, away from the city, floated three figures.

One, a young woman with blonde hair, reclines herself in the air, not interested in the battle that's tearing apart Papaya Town.

The other next to her, a man with black hair, looks on with crossed arms and moderate interest.

Then lumbering behind them, a colossal man sporting green armor of some kind that appears to be grafted into his figure looks onto Son Goku's battle. However, his face is devoid of any emotion.

The man with black hair is the first to speak. "Well, this is certainly a show, ay sis'?" He looks at the women next to him.

She sighs. "As long as there's a clothes shop still intact at the end of this, I don't really care." She says to her brother.

The brother pouts. "You're no fun." He looks up to the big guy behind him. "What about you, 16? What do you think of this?"

The big one named 16 looks down at him. "It is our objective to see to the destruction of the individual, Son Goku. By this logic, it doesn't matter who it is accomplished by. So long as it completes our goal." He answers.

The smaller man stares at 16 for a moment before responding. "Mmhmm…"

The woman sighs again, only louder this time.

She straightens herself back up into the air and annoyingly looks at her brother. "17, why are we even here? Why are we listening to that guy from the intercom back at the lab?"

17 looks at his sister, unmoved by her annoyance. "Well, 18, we have nothing better to do right now, and anyone who offed that senile doctor is a fun guy in my book! Besides, that guy offered us those three stooges as servants so long as we let them do what they're meant to do. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me!"

18 only rolls her blue eyes. "What was that saying? About never taking candy from a stranger?" she asks aloud.

Six hours earlier.

Deep within wildness inside a mountain, Dr. Gero's machinery whirrs to life. Lights begin to flicker on as both 17 and 18's isolation pods open. The pair open their eyes and step out, expecting Dr. Gero to be standing there, except… he wasn't. The room was empty, with only the bleeps and bloops of the doctor's computer making noise.

The two Androids look at each other, slightly confused. Then a moment later, a loud blaring noise of static came over an intercom sat directly on a table in front of them.

The static noise subsided, and a voice unfamiliar to them began to speak. "Gooood morning, my Androids, and welcome back to the world of the living! Now, before you start talking. I must inform you that this is a prerecorded message set to go off upon the completion of your upgrades. Conducted by the new isolation pods of my…" the voice chuckles for a moment before saying in satisfaction with himself. "My own design, hehe!"

17 looks at his sister with a raised eyebrow, translating to her. "What is going on?"

"Now, what are those upgrades?" The voice continued. "I'll give you both a moment to check your bodies."

The pair do indeed check, and a second later, they realize that at the center of their hands were red orbs embedded into them.

18 holds herself, unnerved. While 17 wasn't sure what to think.

The voice continued again. "A bit freaky, I'm aware, but the benefits far outclass the oddness, I assure you! It was a hassle to install, but with the technology in my possession, it was doable! In addition to the Infinite Engine, you now have the capacity to absorb incoming energy from any source, adding to your speed and power for a short but powerful burst! In-in theory…" He began to trail off. "Anyway! I know you may have some questions, such as 'Who am I?' or 'Where's the good doctor?' well, to answer the first question, it doesn't matter yet. I'm sure I'll find you soon enough out and about in the world, but please know that I only have your best interests at heart. Then to answer the second, I killed him."

An odd silence fills the metal chamber. The overhead light flickers as the two Androids appear to be unmoved by this revelation.

"...I'm assuming that you audibly gasped for a moment," the voice said awkwardly. "But it's true! I believe the doctor had the best interests for humanity in his earlier years, but he was already too far gone when I found him. Not enough worth to keep him around for a while after he showed me his latest plans for the world. At that point, I saw him unfit to continue his work. So, I took all of it upon myself."

The voice smacked his lips and sighed in a tone that sounded like disappointment. "I don't expect you to care. When reading his notes on your first and almost fatal activation, I quickly realized that you could replace some organs and bones, but there'd still be some human left. So I leave you with some suggestions."

Then at the side of the lab, a section of the metal wall rumbled. A metal plate popped out and slid to the side, revealing a ladder going down into darkness. Then on the other side, a large metal door opened to the outside wilderness, the sunrise shining into the faces of 17 and 18.

"You can leave, if you like, and try to regain some normalcy back into your lives, or you can have some fun. What's currently left in this secret lab are four more Androids; one of them is in front of you already."

It was true. Next to the table with the intercom was indeed another isolation pod. However, this one was twice the size of Androids 17 and 18.

"Inside this pod is Android 16, a previous model but incredibly resilient and durable. You could consider him a…" A noise of what sounds like finger-snapping is heard in the background. "A bodyguard to you! Let me tell you, Dr. Gero put a lot of effort into this one model. The amount of data and blueprints of him were dense as it is. It was almost as if he wanted to build someone specific from the ground up. I tried my best to clean him up after killing the doctor, but there were a few things that couldn't be altered. You'll see if you choose to wake him up."

17 looks at 16's pod, curiosity slowly creeping into his mind.

"Then we have the three remaining Androids in the sub-lab below. These you can consider your personal servants! However, before they can get to that point, they need to complete one objective that even I couldn't eliminate from their programming. And that is to kill Son Goku. Allow them to do that, and then they're all yours."

18 crossed her arms with a raised eyebrow, skepticism on her mind.

"Well, as I said before, those are suggestions. Until our fated meeting!"

The audio then cuts, leaving the two alone with options.

"Well," Android 17 smirked to himself. "This could be a fun opportunity, ay' sis?"

Back in the present, our fighters were having a time.

Even against four, the pale Android held his ground. He was fighting on without any sign of slowing down. Whereas with our fighters, they were slowly being chipped down to exhaustion.

With Raditz, he took his idly time with his opponent, using this opportunity against the Android to test his Super Saiyan strength. Much to the dismay of any civilian caught in the crossfire. But don't think that Raditz does this intentionally. Over the time he had spent with his brother over the years, he had developed a sort of soft spot. Actively trying to avoid populated areas during his fight, but not to the level that Goku goes. So there are bound to be casualties.

Speaking of Goku, his fight with Android 13 seems to be dead even. Out of the other two Androids, this one appears to be more fit to take on a Super Saiyan. No telling how the conflict will end between the two.

While all that was going on, Gohan and Krillin continued their search for Vitella amongst the mountain rubble.

"Have you found anything?" Gohan called to Krillin.

"No, Not yet!"

"Ugghh, dammit!" Gohan cursed.

Vitella, she's about the only friend that he ever had in his life—losing her to a bunch of rocks piled on top of her felt terrifying enough. Being crushed to death with the thought that no one would find her is something that Gohan couldn't imagine. But moreover, he started to feel that an end like this felt… well... It felt insulting, which in itself is surprising for Gohan! This must've been Gohan's Saiyan side talking. Of course, he was terrified about her safety, but the way this had happened is making his blood boil. Vitella deserved much more than this, Gohan thought, and he refused to believe that his friend would go out so shamefully.

Gohan felt something tugging inside him, and for a split moment, a sudden flash of intense anger filled his mind.

Until suddenly, he felt a faint energy nearby. The anger subsided.

Gohan looked to his right at another pile of rocks. He focused his senses and… It was her! "Krillin, over here!" Gohan yelled out.

Krillin came over quickly as they began moving the debris. After a few rocks, a hand jerked out of the dirt before going limp. Gohan grabbed it and began to pull while Krillin cleared out the remaining stone. From the mountain came out a severely battered Vitella.

Gohan rested her in his hands. "Hey, V, come on! Can you hear me?" Gohan plead.

Nothing happened for a moment before Vitella gave a slight movement. "Mmmmmm…"

She was barely holding on as Gohan and Krillin could tell, so Krillin handed Gohan a Senzu Bean. "V, I'm gonna give something. It'll get you back on your feet, but you have to try to chew and swallow."

Gohan placed the bean in Vitella's mouth. She didn't respond at first but then started to chew slowly. She swallows.

A moment passes…

Vitella's eyes fling open with a shocked expression, and she suddenly punches Gohan in the face sending him flying backward into a boulder. She was now looking around frantically, breathing heavily.

Krillin grabs her by the shoulder, causing her to flinch. "Woah there, little gal! It's just me, Krillin!" he said quickly.

Vitella slowed her breathing, "Wha—Krillin? That guy—that was one of the Androids, right? I remember that he kicked me and then... falling. Next thing I know, I wake up with you and—" She stopped herself looking ahead of her.

She sees a disoriented and stunned Gohan, imbedded on the boulder that she punched him into, upsidedown with a silly smile on his face. "But mom, I'm sure I groomed my tail last night!" He says, clearly out of it.

The cracks around the boulder begin to widen, causing it to crumble. Gohan falls flat on his face in the dirt.

Vitella audibly gasps, realizing what happened, and she lept to Gohans side, beginning to apologize profusely. "Oh my—I'M SO SORRY GOHAN. I just—I didn't realize what was happening, and I was still in fight mode and—and—" She continued like this for a few minutes before Gohan finally shook it off.

Krillin, on the sidelines, wasn't sure how to make out these two kids. Then he looked at the small bag of Senzu's he had in his hand. "What pot did Korin even grow these in?" He asked himself.

Gohan got up to his feet. "It's OK, V! It's okay! I'm just glad you're safe now," he says with a smile.

Vitella stopped her frantic babbling at Gohan's concern for her. She quickly turns away from him. "W-well yeah! Why wouldn't I? Do you think that I'd die from a bunch of stupid rocks or something? Who do you take me for, huh? HAHAhahaheheee…" She then noticed Krillin standing in front of her, with him clearly seeing the flush of red on her face that she was trying to hide from Gohan.

With a quick glare and finger to her lips, she signals Krillin to shut it.

Krillin darts his eyes off to the distance with pursed lips and tacky whistling.

Vitella lets out a heavy sigh before clearing her throat. "So." She turns her attention to the three battles happening in and above the city. "I take it the fight's already started?"

Krillin stops whistling and looks back at her. "Yeah, it has." he looks at the battle as well, with concern on his face.

"Why are there three battles, though?" Vitella asks. "I thought there was supposed to be only two Androids."

Gohan dusted off his gi before joining Vitella's side. "The battles started during our search for you. So, we know as much as anyone, I guess."

Vitella looks up at the sky, at Goku's battle with Android 13. She narrows her eyes angrily. "Well, let's get to it then." She powers up, getting ready to take off.

Gohan was quick to grab Vitella's arm. "Wait!" He urges.

Vitella looks at him with anger and confusion.

Gohan takes a deep breath before telling her. "I think that we should focus on saving the people in the city right now!"

"Huh?" Vitella raised an eyebrow, surprised.

"Before looking for you, Uncle Raditz told me that we're out of our league and that we should focus on helping the people first before fighting the Androids."

Vitella was conflicted, wanting to protest at first. "But—"

Krillin stepped forward. "Vitella, it only took a knee from one of those things to put you at death's door. What makes you think you can take them now when there fighting Earth's greatest warriors right now?" he said bluntly.

"I!..." Vitella sighed and powered back down.

As much as she'd like to deny it, she knew that Krillin was right.

Vitella's face quivered in anger. "It still doesn't feel right doing nothing!" she said.

Gohan lets go of her arm and put it on her shoulder. "We will be doing something. Right now, the people that live in this city can't defend themselves against people like us" He pumps his free hand in front of his chest in a fist. "So it's our job to look out for them!" Gohan tells her, confidence in his voice.

Vitella finally aquecess. "...Alright." she took Gohans hand off of her. "But the second things look bad for our guys; I won't hesitate to jump in!"

"Okay." Gohan nodded in agreement.

Krillin steps in front of them. "Okay, if we're all ready?" He powers up. "Let's start saving lives!" He takes off into the city.

"Right!" said the young Saiyans in unison.

They both take off, following Krillins lead.

Back with Raditz's battle, things weren't looking good for our boy.

Even as a Super Saiyan, it seems that Raditz falls short. That or it's because of this Androids small and slippery size.

Android 15 was fast, getting in jabs and cheap shots whenever he could. Luckily, because he tried to get in close, Raditz could get a few heavy blows in himself. Right now is one such blow.

Raditz was standing out in the open, looking around, trying to find 15. Everything around him was quiet. Then a shift in debris distracted him, giving an opening to the Android.

15 quickly appears, getting ready to punch Raditz in the side. "Should've been paying attention!"

Suddenly, when his fist started to fly, a tail burst from Raditz's belt and wraps itself around the Androids neck. "Hmph!" Raditz turns back strangled prey. "And you should've played it smarter!"

Raditz loosens his grip on his tail, letting the Android fall right before delivering a massive blow right into his torso!

The punch sends Android 15 careening into a nearby building; he loses his hat in the process.

Raditz turns himself to the dust cloud, arms crossed.

When the dust settles, there stood 15 with his glass head exposed, and one side of his sunglasses shattered, revealing a robotic eye.

Raditz lets out a laugh at the sight of this. "STARS! You really are a robo-freak, aren't you?"

15 dismisses the insult. "You know what the difference between you and me is?" Asked 15 with apathy in his voice. "You can keep punching and find yourself slowin' down. Whereas I can keep punching and never stop!" He began to reach into his jacket once more but stopped suddenly.

He slowly pulls out a crushed flask with leaking… fluid. (What does he even drink? Does he even need to?) 15 then looks at the right side of his jacket, seeing a large fluid stain on it.

That was the last straw.

15 crushed the flask in his hand and threw it to the side. "Okay, Raditz!" he hissed. He brings his hands over his head, crossing them to form an X. "Let's see you dance!" Then started to move them outwards in a circular motion slowly.

Raditz wasn't sure what to make of this. But then he noticed specks of light beginning to appear as the arms moved. When the Androids hand finished the circle, there were eight specks in total. He held his now shaking hands down for a moment before quickly raising them up in front of him in the form of an X.

Those eight specks instantly transformed into eight small green energy balls, similar to the attack that Android 13 used on Goku, and launched straight at Raditz!

He had no time to think, breaking into intense speed as these blasts followed him. Unlike the slow-moving ki blast that plagued Goku, these were fast! Giving Raditz barely enough time to dodge each and every one.

Raditz angrily glared down at the Android in the split moment of peace he had. He saw 15 now making various movements with his fingers and hands, cackling to himself almost madly.

The Saiyan quickly realized, looking all around him to see that those blasts were now all converging on him again from all directions.

At this point, Raditz could only dodge in place, and Android 15 was loving every second. "YEAH! That's right! Dance for me, big man!" 15 laughed.

Raditz didn't see an end to this, so he decided to take a gamble.

He rammed himself down through two ki blasts, intense and sharp pain felt immediately, and began flying directly at 15 down below.

15 immediately saw what Raditz was hoping to achieve. "HAH! You think that million-year-old trick can—" Raditz immediately brought up his arm to throw a ki blast directly at 15, surprising him and causing him to jump the air.

Raditz flew right under him. "CLEVER DI—!" 15 wasn't able to finish, as five of his ki blasts impacted and exploded on his back, devouring under in a green nova.

"HAH!" Raditz exclaimed. He slows himself and turns around to get a good look at his work. "HOW'D YOU—" Raditz was also unable to finish, as one rogue ki blast was still coming after him and hits.

Even though it was one, it was enough to knock Raditz out of Super Saiyan. Raditz's body skipped across the pavement and slammed into a wall.

Raditz throws his head back, breathing heavily. "How… how'd you like that?... Scrap Metal?" He spits a little blood out to the side.

A few moments passed, then a low but steadily rising garble of what sounded like laughter began to emanate from green flames left behind.

Somehow 15 was still operational. But he was worse for wear. Most of his clothes and skin had been melted off while half his face was burned and torn off, with his left leg, hip, and upper arm gone, revealing spewing fluids and sparks.

His gabbling laugh appearance was haunting, putting Raditz at a loss of words.

The mangled 15 slowly floated towards Raditz. "I—I—I don't fry-y-y-y easily!" Android 15 raised his remaining arm at Raditz, preparing one final ki blast.

Raditz was too stunned to move. 15 gave a sadistic grin. "L-l-looks like, in the end, you still a—" Suddenly, a fist from behind bursts through 15's torso. "Bitcccchhh…" 15's voice fades as the unknown arm flings the husk of the Android to the side.

Raditz was now shocked at who was approaching him so casually. She wore a combination of Saiyan armor and Goku's gi but the colors black and green, colors fashioning that of Bardock's likeness.

She knelt to Raditz and presented her hand to him. "Sorry but, you were taking too long!" said Kholba with a smile.

It took a moment for Raditz to register what was happening. Wasn't this the girl—no, his sister supposed to be back in the future? Why is she here?

Raditz took Kholba's hand, and he got up to his feet. "I… was gonna finish him off! I was just waiting for the most dramatic moment, is all!"

Kholba chuckled to herself. "Yeah, suuuuure you did."

"But enough of that," Raditz went down to business. "Why are you back, Kholba? Didn't you go back to the future?" He asked.

"Actually, we decided to drop by, right after, for the Android's arrival to—WAIT!?" Kholba stumbled a bit. "How—how'd you know who I was?!"

Raditz grinned. "It really didn't take long for father to it piece together after your introductions."

Kholba was floored! She was so sure that her little act passed with flying colors. Guess she underestimated Bardocks intuition, or rather her father's intuition. Then again, she does remember that minor vision incident she had when shaking Bardocks hand about an hour ago. Maybe that had tipped him off?

In any case, since the truth was out in the open, why try to hide it?

Kholba sighed and took a deep breath. "Nothing gets past dad, does it?"

"Very rarely!"

The two share a short laugh.

Kholba then turns her attention to what's happening above the city. Two more Androids… This didn't bode well for her.

"There was supposed to be two Androids. Why are there three?" Kholba asked.

"You mean you don't know?" Raditz said dubiously.

Kholba looked at his brother sternly. "I think I'd know if there were more out there!" She then turned to the remains of Android 15. "And I would most certainly recognize them if these were the ones in my future."

So many questions, not enough answers, Raditz was getting antsy. "What do you mean?" He asked quickly.

The concern now dawned on Kholba's face. "Hopefully, Trunks can come up with something better than I can."

The fight with Android 14 up above was going poorly. Not in the sense that our fighters were dying, just in the fact that they couldn't put any real damage on this thing. Even with the massive gains that our two Namekians received during their training on Namek, they come up short in this fight.

Yamcha was trying his best with techniques like the Spirit Ball and his signature Wolf Fang Fist but…well, you can imagine how that turned out. However, with Tien, there seemed to be a little more leeway. He devised a quick plan with the group in the few moments this metal monster hadn't pummeled them.

Kami and Yamcha were the first to go in with close-quarter combat, pushing Android 14 off and away from the island city's skyline and over to open water. The two had to push themselves beyond, Yamcha especially, feeling the muscles in their bodies being stretched and torn with each desperate punch trying to make this goliath move.

At no point did Android 14 felt as if he was in any danger, but the desperate struggle that both Yamcha and Kami were producing was hard to keep up with. So after being beaten back for a while, the Android went on the offense, successfully breaking off their punches. Then, when they were stunned, 14 threw a left cross right into Yamcha, slamming him into Kami at his side and sending them straight into the water below.

But this was part of the plan.

Time began to slow for 14; as soon as Kami and Yamcha had left his sight, behind them was Piccolo floating in the air. With fingers to the forehead and electricity sparking up and down his arm.

Piccolo smirked. The setup couldn't be more dramatic. "MAKANKOSAPPO!"

With that shout, he thrust his arm forward, directly at the Android, and a spiraling beam of energy impacted the android straight into his body, drilling through like cheese!

Android 14 was knocked backward, a gaping hole now in his torso revealing the machinery inside. Sparks and oil still flying outward on the other side.

But it still wasn't over. As the Android was knocked back, looking upward towards the sun, he saw the silhouette of a man.

He was making a shape with his hands in front of him, and it was a triangle. It was Tien Shinhan.

Then for one moment, Android 14 felt fear.

"SHIN, KIKOHO!"

Tien unleashed a mighty square energy blast with a raged shout that decimated the android—making him careen down into the ocean below. A momentary square in the water is created before all its weight comes crashes down onto the Android, sending him down to the briny depths.

Both fighters still in the air were now panting heavily. They put everything they had into those attacks. Hopefully, it paid off.

Piccolo looked up to Tien, chuckling. "Didn't think you'd pull it off!"

Tien glared at Piccolo. "It worked, didn't it?"

Tien was still a little crossed with Piccolo, considering their history. But they made it work in the short time they had.

"Excellent effort, everyone!" Kami was coming back up from below, carrying Yamcha at his side.

"Yamcha!" How are you doing?" Asked Tien.

Yamcha gave a pained laugh. "Didn't drown down there, so I think I'm doing fine!"

Yamcha, let go of Kami, thinking that he'd be fine flying on his own. "So, what now?" He asked.

Piccolo looked down to the half-destroyed city below. "Well, the explosions stopped, so I'm guessing things went well with Goku's brother."

Kami nodded. "Good, then let us take a moment to collect ourselves and—"

"AGH—!"

Kami, Piccolo, and Tien look back at Yamcha to see an arm pierced through his torso from behind. Android 14 is still functional, soaked in seawater, and with more glare in his eyes.

He throws Yamcha down, freeing his blood-soaked arm.

"What's it gonna take to KILL THIS THING!?" Shouted Piccolo.

Bits of flashes started to dance in 14's eye for a moment. Then a low dark blue glow began to envelop him.

Tien is the first to attack in rage, thinking that his friend just died. 14 simply turns to the side, dodging Tien, and touches his shoulder on the way by, leaving a dark blue spec of light on there. Then, in an instant, 14 dashed past both Kami and Piccolo, also leaving behind the specs of light on them.

Android 14 turns back to our fighters and widens his eyes intensely. The blue specs on the three erupt into bark-blue energy balls enveloping them, looking much like Android 13's.

The fighters scream out in pain as they feel the energy searing into them, tearing them apart bit by bit, slowly but surely. And amongst the pain, Android 14 couldn't help but smile at his work.

"HEY, ANDROID!" Shouted a voice from below.

14 looks down to see an energy blast coming right at him!

He dodges out of the way, trying to find who sent it. Only to realize and look up at a golden-haired teenager with a sword, yelling out, coming down at him.

In a quick slash, the boy's in front of him.

14 wanted to reach out and grab him, but he found that he couldn't. He was only able to watch this boy as his vision began to slide in half. Until finally, everything about himself had shut down without warning.

On the outside, Android 14 split in half. The rest of his body was blown away by a ki blast by the boy. The remaining scrap left behind fell into the ocean below.

The blue energy balls consuming the rest of our fighters subsided, leaving only Tien to fall unconscious and literally.

Piccolo, nearest, caught him just in time even though he himself was in rough shape.

Kami shakes off any remaining shock he felt and tries to level his breathing. He turns to the boy. "Who are you?" he asked.

"I'm Trunks, the time traveler from three years ago in your time. We came here right after to check up on things and make sure if you needed any help."

Kami weakly smiles. "The help is appreciated."

"Honestly, you all did a good job wearing him down." Trunks complimented. "If not for that, then I don't think I coulda landed the finishing blow!"

"Oh, and don't worry about Yamcha," Trunks reassured. "I caught him on the way down. He's holding on but needs immediate treatment if he's gonna survive."

"We need to find Krillin! He has the Senzu Beans!"

Trunks nods, and our group of fighters head down into the city below to search.

It didn't take long for Kami's group to run into Krillin's. After explaining the situation, they all ran off with speed to help Yamcha escape death. Then, Raditz and Kholba arrived on the scene, with Kholba eager to compare notes with Trunks.

"Trunks!" She and Raditz land on the rooftop, where Krillin tends to Yamcha. "The Androids, there—!"

Trunks shakes his head. "I know! It doesn't make any sense to me either, Kholba."

Raditz folded his arms. "So much for answers." He grumbled.

He then noticed Krillin, Gohan, and Vitella gathered around Yamcha, who's just getting up after the senzu. "What's up with him?" Raditz asked, with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

Kami set Tien up next to a pushed-up slab of cement. Tien winces. "Are you alright? Do you need a senzu?" Kami asked.

"No, I'm fine." Tien straightened up with a pained expression. "Better too keep those for people at death's door."

Kami nodded, then turned his attention to Raditz finally. "Yamcha was impaled through the back by the Android we dispatched."

Raditz winced at the thought of that. "Shhhhhhh, that's rough." He then looked at Yamcha. "Good thing those beans repair puncture wounds, huh?" Raditz called.

Yamcha seemed distant at the moment, still trying to process what just happened to him. "Yeah." He simply replied.

Raditz turned his attention now at the sky, to where his brother's battle is taking place. He then began to think that if it took the force of a Super Saiyan to beat these things, how come this one right above is taking longer? Either this Android was designed to be stronger than the others or…

Raditz tightened the grip on his arms and grimaced. "Damnit, Kakarot."

He turned back to the group. "So," he said aloud, wanting everyone's attention. "How are we going to deal with the last one?"

Yamcha got up to his feet, trying to shake off a newfound trauma. "Well, it looks like Goku's has him handled. I'd say leave it to him!"

"Speak for yourself." Spook up, Vitella, stretching her arms out. "I've got a good knee to repay that robo-bumpkin."

Kholba looked over to Vitella and chuckled slightly. "Even as a girl, you're still restless," Kholba says under her breath.

Vitella looked over to Kholba with a raised eyebrow. "Do I know you?"

Kholba, realizing she said that out loud, stumbled through her speech. "Well, I… In a manner of speaking." She then cleared her throat. "Although, I think that you should stay out of this one."

Vitella loudly groaned at this. "Again, with this thing?! I'm a tough gal! I think I could rough him up!"

Gohan, next to her, lowered his brow judgmentally. "V, no offense, but I don't think that Android was even trying when he nearly killed you." He said, resolute.

Vitella then pouted at Gohan.

"IN any case," Raditz loudly said. "Kholba here is right. We need the heavy hitters in this. So her, him, the two greenies, and I should be the ones to go in."

Vitella began to protest but was shut down by Raditz. "You'll get your time, I promise." He reassured.

Raditz then looked over to the reclined and damaged Tien still on laying of the slab. "You sure you don't want that bean, tri-clops?" he asked with a smirk.

Tien was resting his eyes but decided to spur up the Saiyan. "Better for me to know that you'd need it if you end up getting your ass handed to you up there, lions-mane."

Raditz let out a hearty laugh. "HAH! Be sure not to pass out and die down here!"

Raditz called over Krillin. "Hey, short stuff. Throw me one of those beans for my brother."

"Oh, yeah, sure!" Krillin comes over and hands Raditz a Senzu Bean

After the moment had passed, Raditz looked over the four fighters that would follow him into the battle. "Well, then? What are we waiting for?"

With that, Raditz powers up back into Super Saiyan and takes off up into the sky, with Trunks, Kholba, Piccolo, and Kami following up behind.

Shockwaves ripple through the sky as Goku's fight with Android 13 continued. Neither seems to be holding up as each of them trades blows with each other.

Goku lands a left hook to 13's head. 13 returns a punch right into Goku's kidney, making him stagger. In this opening, 13 aims to deliver a hook of his own, right into Goku's head. However, Goku regains himself and counters with his left to block the punch. With that, Goku gives a devastating uppercut with his right sending the Android flying backwards.

Goku jumps back and prepares a Kamehameha Wave.

Meanwhile, the spinning 13 stabilizes himself and prepares his own Ki blast. The familiar red glow begins to develop in his hands.

"Ka… Me… Ha… Me…"

13 puts on a wicked grin. The ki blast now twice the size of his last one. "Have a taste of my S.S. Deadly Bomber, country boy! HAAAAAAAAH!" 13 sends it down on Goku.

Goku growls to himself, and at the last moment, he put even more energy into his Kamehameha to compete with this encroaching ki blast. "HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

The blue energy burst forward from Goku's outstretched hands as it begins its struggle against 13's S.S. Deadly Bomber.

It looks to be dead even, but Goku can feel the weight of what this blast could do to him if he fails right now. With a tensing of every muscle in Goku's body, he lets out a mighty roar as he pours all that he has left into his beam.

The sudden surge of energy races up to its pinnacle point and pierces into the 13's attack, causing both to explode, nullifying each other's attack, as well as lighting up the sky once more.

The force that blasted from the resulting explosion sends shockwaves at the ground level in the city. So, on top of the fact that the populous had to deal with a bunch of random people going through tearing up their city at superhuman speed and strength, they are now dealing with what they think is an earthquake.

Amidst the explosion's aftermath, Goku takes a swift concerned glance back down into the city below. This would almost be fatal, as Android 13 takes this moment of distraction and teleports right up into Goku, ready to throw a punch that could very well kill him at this moment.

"It's been fun!" 13 shouts.

As Goku turns back to see a flying fist about to hit him, and before it hits, Raditz comes in at the last moment and punches 13's head with his right fist, sending him away for the moment.

Raditz grabbed his brother by the shoulder and brought up the Senzu Bean to his face. "Pay attention, moron!"

Goku blinks before registering. "Oh, yeah! Thanks, Raditz!" Goku takes the bean and swiftly eats it.

Android 13 was starting to get tired of getting punched halfway across a battleball field. He regains himself, rubbing the left side of his face before realizing that he had been surrounded. Four Super Saiyans and two Namekians are ready to flank from all sides of the Android.

When Goku was finished healing, he looked around and noticed that both Trunks and Kholba are here now! "Huh? Oh, hey, it's you guys!"

Kholba gave a quick smile to his brother before refocusing on this Android in front of her.

Android looked around and was beginning to weigh his odds, and they weren't looking good at the moment.

He decided to play off for a moment. He needed to confirm something. "Well…" 13 put his hands into his pocket and gave a slight kick in the air as if he was pretending to kick a stone. "You certainly have friends, don't ya', country boy?"

"It's good to have them." Goku puts up his fighting stance. "Now, this can end without anyone else dying if you just stop fighting. I don't want to have to kill you."

Both Trunks and Kholba gave an irritated and confused look at Goku and looked like they were about to protest, but Raditz steps in with his retort. "Hah! Speak for yourself, Kakarot! We've already sent two of his lackeys to the scrap-heap. So, what's one more for the pile?"

Android 13 widens his eyes at this revelation. "Android 14 and 15 have been destroyed?" Then a menacing grin came across his face. "Goooooooood…"

Back in the city, at the remains of Android 15, two parts of the body begin to glow and levitate off the ground and into the sky towards Android 13. Same story with what's left of Android 14 that survived down at the bottom of the ocean. Two individual parts begin to glow and rise up and out of the water towards Android 13.

Two computer chips float up to 13's head and insert themselves into them. Two power cells float up to 13's chest and are absorbed into his flesh.

A moment passes, and then 13 begins to bulk up, considerably so. He looks back up to both Raditz and Goku before saying one last thing in this form. "You should've killed me when you had the chance." He snickered.

13 continued to bulk up more, with his skin slowly turning blue and his hair spiking up, turning orange.

Quite irritated and honestly done with all the twists and turns he's been through today, Raditz turned to the two time-travelers. "Tell me!? Do you have something like this in the future?!"

Kholba turned to Raditz and gave a slight nervous squeak. "No!"

The new Android 13 let out a loud roar as he was now done transforming into his ultimate, final, pinnacle form! Unstoppable! Blue! And completely taciturn.

"Perfect…" said a voice, at a distant location away from all the fighting, overlooking a monitor.
