I was in complete focus mode as I returned to my busy wrestling life, but I made sure to make time for my new friends and especially for Changkyun. Despite being in the group chat, we always had our own conversation just between us, which would then cause a long chain of teasing from the others. Even though the time difference made the timing calls a little difficult, we still managed to talk for hours and sometimes ended up falling asleep together on video chat which usually ended with either Jooheon, Minhyuk, or Wonho taking a picture to tease us more. I didn't mind the teasing since I've grown so used to it and it always reminded me of the days when my own older brother would constantly tease me. Changkyun would always check on me after each show, making sure that I was okay and that I needed to be more careful when I wrestled. I would always have to reassure him that I was fine and that everything was okay, even explaining to him that everyone in the ring takes care of each other as much as possible so he didn't have anything to worry about. Changkyun and the others always wished me luck before all of my matches and sent pictures of them watching me on TV. Having such a strong support system really made me smile which always drew the attention of my colleagues. Everyone knew that I met Monsta X, but no one knew of our friendship or my possible relationship with Changkyun because I've always been a private person. Plus I didn't want any drama started from the fans if they knew of our relationship. Changkyun didn't mind keeping our relationship out of the public eye since he was also pretty private about his own personal life. I checked my schedule and saw that I was officially one week away from being written off of TV for awhile which meant that I was closer to being reunited with Changkyun. He was also counting down the days and he was so happy that it was almost time for our first date. "So are you ready," I asked, smiling as I looked at him on my phone. We were on our usual late night/early morning video chat date that we always did every night. I was sitting on the bed, working on promos while he watched. "Of course I am, baby. I'm excited to see you again. I already know where we're going," he said proudly. He recently started calling me baby which made me happy, although when he first called me baby, he immediately blushed and asked me if it was okay to call me that and after I stopped laughing, I told him that it was fine. "And you still won't tell me," I asked and he shook his head, running his fingers through his now black hair. "It's a surprise, baby. I will tell you that you should wear something nice for this place." "Are you saying that I don't dress nice now," I smirked, raising an eyebrow as he became flustered. "No no, baby. I just meant wear a dress or something. You look beautiful in anything," he stuttered out, trying to cover up what he just said. "Relax, Kkukkung (puppy). I'm just teasing you," I giggled, "I have a lot of dresses at home that I've never had the chance to wear." "Bring all of them. We'll go a hundred dates if possible." I laughed as he smiled at me. "So do you know if you're wrestling tomorrow night?" I sighed, pushing my hair back. "Yeah, unfortunately." He saw the sudden change in my mood, giving me a concerned look. "What's the matter, baby? You can talk to me," he asked when I suddenly became quiet. "Well," I sighed, picking up the phone and laid down, "I have to work a singles match that turns into a six women tag match." "That doesn't sound too bad." I shook my head at his comment. "One of the women that I have to work with has a track record for being reckless in the ring. One of my friends actually got hurt from working with her." "And now you have to work with her," he asked and I nodded, "don't do it. I don't want anything bad to happen to you." "I wish it was that easy. When the boss makes up his mind, it happens, one way or another whether you like it or not," I sighed. "That's so stupid. I just hope that nothing happens to you then because I really want to see you, baby." "I'll be there even if I'm in a body cast," I giggled before yawning. "That'll be a sight to see," he chuckled, "how about you get some sleep? I have to get to the studio for practice. We're probably going to do a vlive too so hopefully we'll see you there." I nodded as I blew him a kiss. "I'll try to drop in. I'll talk to you later," I said as he blew me a kiss before we ended the call. I turned off the lamp before drifting off to sleep. Changkyun's POV: Changkyun hung up with Ashley and sat his phone down and sighed. He had mixed feelings after hanging up. He was excited because it was closer to her being with him and going on their first date, but he was now concerned that she was going to get hurt during her next fight. While he was lost in thought, Jooheon walked into the room and sat on his bed, ruffling Changkyun's hair. "Hey, man. What's wrong? How's Ashley?" "She has this match tomorrow night and she has to work with someone who's unsafe and I'm scared that she might get hurt," he said as he fixed his hair. "Listen, she's told you plenty of times that she'll be okay so just trust her. I have faith in her so you definitely need to have faith in her." Changkyun nodded as Jooheon patted his shoulder. "Let's go. We have practice to do." Changkyun grabbed his phone and got up as they left to go to practice. Ashley's POV: I woke up the next morning and sent a good morning text to the group chat before getting up and taking my morning shower before getting dressed for the day. My phone chimed repeatedly so I knew that it was the guys texting me. "Hey, Ashley!" "What's up, Ashley?" "How are you, Ashley?" I giggled as I replied back before receiving a separate message from Changkyun. "Hey, baby. I hope you got plenty of sleep. Headed to the studio to listen to some music. If you have time to chat, we can." "Headed out for breakfast. Will call once I get there," I replied back as I left my room, riding the elevator down, walked outside and took a cab to Starbucks. Once I was there, I ordered a sandwich and drink before calling Changkyun on video chat. "Hey, beautiful," he said, smiling on my screen. "Hey, Kkukkung. What are you up to," I asked, getting my meal and walked over to a table and sat down. "Looking at the most beautiful woman ever while listening to music," he said as I put my earbuds in. Each day he has been getting more and more comfortable with giving me different nicknames and complimenting me and I love it that he's finally getting comfortable with talking to me. "Stop it. You're going to make me blush," I giggled, sipping my drink. "It's true. You're very beautiful, baby," he said, changing his music to a slow song. "Trying to lighten the mood," I teased, winking at him as he chuckled. "Maybe. Is it working," he asked and I nodded, "mission accomplished. Are you ready for tonight?" I ate my sandwich as I thought about the match tonight. I was nervous, but confident since it was a tag team match, but I didn't want Changkyun to worry. "Yeah. It'll be easy. I'm not worried." "Really? So I shouldn't be worried about anything?" "No, Kyunnie. Everything will be fine," I reassured him. "Okay, baby. I'll stop worrying then. I rather focus on your beautiful face anyways," he smiled. I blushed as I enjoyed my morning with Changkyun until he had to get going and I had to get ready to start my day. After spending the entire day doing meet and greets and visiting a children's hospital, it was time for Monday Night Raw. I was warming up in the back as Naomi and Asuka walked up to me. "Are you ready," Asuka asked and I nodded. "Let's do this," Naomi said as my music hit and I walked through the curtains as the crowd cheered as Asuka walked through the curtains to her music before finally Naomi danced out to her music as we made our way to the ring. Soon, Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax, and Alexa Bliss walked out together as the crowd booed as they made their way to the ring. We all stared each other down and the bell rung and we all started fighting until only Alexa and I were in the ring alone. Alexa trash talked and slapped me, making angry and I tackled her into the mat, throwing punch after punch until Charlotte jumped in then Asuka then Nia and finally Naomi as the ref tried his hardest to get us under control while the crowd cheered. Everyone was pulled apart and the chaos stopped as Nia took out Asuka, Naomi, and I before kicking us out of the ring. I hit the floor and felt a sharp pain in my leg that has been giving me trouble. "Are you okay," Naomi asked when she saw me struggle to my feet. "Yeah. I'm fine," I said, powering through the pain as the match continued. Fifteen minutes have went by and everyone was giving it their all just to end the match as the crowd chanted "Fight forever." I was caught up in the corner with Charlotte until I managed to push her back and knock Alexa off the apron. I turned my attention back to Charlotte and without warning, Nia grabbed my hair and yanked hard on it, causing me to hit my head on the bottom rope which wasn't supposed to happen. I grabbed my head and quickly tried to recover as Charlotte stomped on me until I managed to block her kicks and stood back up, delivering chops to her chest and driving her backwards until Alexa jumped into the ring and chaos once again broke out. During the fight, I knocked Charlotte to the mat and walked over to the corner and climbed onto the middle rope, preparing for a leg drop to finish the match. While I was trying to steady myself, Nia ran straight into me, my leg getting stuck between the ropes as I fell off, smacking my head on the hard apron and landing hard onto the floor, my leg clipping the steel steps as everything went black. "Ashley's out! I think she's out," Corey Graves yelled from the announcers desk. "I think you're right, Corey. She hit hard on the apron, down to the floor," Cole said as the ref managed to stop everyone from fighting before jumping out of the ring to check on me. I could hear him calling out to me, but I couldn't move or even open my eyes as pain shot through my head and leg. "It's done. It's over," the ref yelled, throwing up the X sign, the bell ringing immediately as Charlotte's team was declared the winner as Naomi and Asuka checked on me before I was surrounded by the medical staff. The crowd grew silent as a stretcher was brought out and I was put on it, getting wheeled out of the arena and headed to a local hospital. Changkyun's POV: Changkyun kept refreshing his phone as he looked for news on Ashley to see how her match went. "Anything yet," Wonho asked and Changkyun shook his head, setting his phone down. Everyone was hanging out in the living room, enjoying a quiet afternoon after dance practice. "Nothing yet. She's probably still wrestling," he sighed, "last thing I saw was the match starting and that it was a good match so far." "I'm sure that she's fine and she's putting on a great show for the fans," Minhyuk said. Jooheon was scrolling through Twitter when a video caught his eyes and he froze as he watched. A fan had posted a video of Ashley taking a fall out of the ring and laying on the floor, not moving. "I think something happened," he said, turning on the volume and replayed the video for the others. Changkyun felt his heart drop when he saw her laying there. "Wait. There's something else," he said, tapping on another video. He heard the announcers saying that she was out as the ref tried checking on her. "What did they say," Shownu asked, trying to make sense of the chaos in the video. "They said that she was out when she hit her head," Changkyun explained, "the referee stopped the match. She told me awhile ago that when a ref throws up the X sign, that means that they have to stop the match because something is wrong." The video showed a team of people coming to check on Ashley before there was a stretcher on the way. Changkyun felt fear filling him as he watched as they put her on the stretcher and wheeled her out as the video ended. "Where are they taking her," Kihyun asked. "Usually, they would just take them to the trainers' room," Changkyun explained as he fought back tears, "they put a neck brace on her and strapped her in. She's going to the hospital."
