The next morning
Mira yawned and opened her eyes. To find David inches from her's. Mira blushed up a storm. And then she notices her hand on his chest. At this point Mira's entire body was red and steam came out of her ears. She quickly and carefully got out of bed and went to the bathroom.
As soon as she entered she turned on the sink and splash water on her on what felt like a fire on her face 'Ok what the hell was that? Why was I so close to him or was he close to me!' Then she remembered that she was on his side of the bed. Mira felt another blush coming and she quickly splash water on her face 'Ok Mira calm down you must've moved to his side of the bed in your sleep. Yah that must have been it.' she calmed down and sighed and muttered " If the redhead finds out she will tease me to no end."
"Mira you're alright in there?" David asked behind the door
"Yes, I'm all right just doing some." She thought for a moment "stuff."
"Ok well hurry up I'm hangry and I want to get something to eat." said David through the door
Mira looked at the mirror and sighed and moved to the door and David was sitting in the bed waiting for her. Mira blushed a bit when she saw him there. The memory replaying itself
"Hey a.." David saw her just stand there "Are you alright?"
David's voice brought her back to reality and she looked at him and said "Yes i am fine. So when are we kill the wyvern?"
"I was thinking we can get something to eat." said David while got up from bed
"Yeh I like that." said Mira with a small smile and a small blush
"Great let's go." he said with a grin. That made Mira smile
Random restaurant
David and Mira were eating there food
"So Mira." said David, getting her attention "How did you sleep last night."
Mira almost choked on her food and quickly said "I slept great."
"That great i slept great too." Said David with a smile
Mira smiled then asked "where do you think the wyvern is."
"Properly in the mountain in some cave." Said David to which mira nodded
They finished their lunch and went to do the assumed that the wyvern home was at the mountain next to the town they went there.
They were talking along the way through the forest
"So what is the difference between dragon slayer and a phoenix slayer?" Asked Mira with her hands behind her head.
"Well for one I assume that Natsu can eat fire." to which she nodded "I can absorb the fire into my body."
"So the fire moves into your body." Asked Mira while looking at him
"Yep and my eyesight is better than a dragon. My hearing is that of a dragon and my nose is a bit lacking." Said David with a small laugh
"Well I guess you can't have everything." said Mira with a smile
"Yah you can't have everything." said David with a small smile
"So what about your family. Do you think they're still out there? I mean from the way you describe they sounded like code have captured her and taken them to so place" asked Mira even though it was a touchy subject
David's smile faded and Mira quickly said "I am sorry David i don."
"Mira it's ok I accepted that I might not see them again." he interrupted her and said "But Fenikkusu said it is always good to keep hope even if it is small." David said with a smile and that made her smile and her heart skipped a beat which she ignored.
"What was your mother's name if I asked." asked Mira
"Her name was Eclipse." said David
"What was she like." asked Mira
"She was kind and caring and a damn fine cook." Said David with a grin while remembers his mother food
"Better than mine." Mira subconsciously said while looking around the area
David looked at Mira with an eyebrow raised. "What was that you just said." asked David
Mira realized what came out of her mouth and now was blushing. " I'm sorry I didn't know what came out of my mou." she was interrupted when David was laughing and that got her irritated and embarrassed "What so funny."asked Mira now was no longer out of anger more out of embarrassment
"The look on your face was priceless." David said while laughing
"SHUT UP!" she yelled then threw a fist at him. David instantly caught the punch with left hand. Then she put her hand
Mira pouted then decided to change the subject "What was your father like."
"I don't know." said David
"What do you mean by that." Mira asked
"I don't know him. When I asked my mom about him. She said that he was a fire wizard and a kind and caring person and she says i look just like him too." said David
"What happened to your father." said Mira with a Couple of ideas of what happened but didn't want to assume.
"My mom said he worked at a guild. Then my Dad went on a job. Then he didn't come back. Mom thought that the job he was taking longer than expected but a month later before I was born she was told that he she asked his guild how he died they said he was in a battle with a wizard. She left the town where my father worked at a guild. The guild gave my mom there sorry and they gave her a tune of cash. Then when i was born she left town two days later she moved to a village near a mountain range. To get me away from the guild's in general." David looked to the ground "guess that didn't work out as she intended." David laughed a bit
Mira stayed silent for a minute and then said " So this wyvern has to be tough."
David looked at her for a moment and was released what she was asking "yah i mean this is an S class job after all."
"Yah wyvern are not that tough even Natsu can beat them." Said Mira
"Yah, I guess we'll be careful then." Said David
"Please careful is not part of fairy tail name." Mira said grin
"But destroying property is in fairy tail name." David said
They both laughed at that as they made their way up the mountain. They find a cave entrance
"So do you think this is where the wyvern." asked Mira looking at David
David shrugged " I don't know maybe but let's but let's check it." Mira nodded
Somewhere in side the cave
The creature was large and had brown and grey reptilian skin. The creature was asleep until it smelled two scents. The creature got up. It was two humans in their early ages. The creature wanted to laugh at the human's at the town to send children to face him. But then he sensed the magic the two had. It was impressive but the creature was a wyvern and an ELEMENTAL.
Back to the duo
Mira and David were going through the cave system untale David put his hand signaling them stop
"What you hear something." asked Mira looking forward
"Yah it sounds like snoring. And it that way." Said David pointing forward
"Well what are we waiting for come on." Said Mira Quietly running forward
David could not help but smile at her actions and went along with her.
They run until the saw a big cavern it looked like it can fit multiple wyvern
They ducked to cover and pike their head's and saw the wyvern it was bigger than a normal wyvern and it had brown and grey reptilian skin mixed in.
" How do you want to do this." Said Mira putting her head back in to the cover
David looked at Mira shocked " Wait you me to take the lead in this one."
"Yah why not it's your first job so why not." Mira said with a smile
"Come on." David says as they got up and slow and easy. They did not want to wake up there target
Then they heard a loud crash behind them. They turn around to find the entrance blocked by a rock wall. Then they heard loud stomps behind them. They turn to see the wyvern fully awake and glared at the duo with malice. The wyvern was not happy about the two enter it home
Mira and David looked at each other. Mira just shrugged. David let out a sigh and thought 'great just great.'
Mira went in her "Satan soul" and got into a combat stance. While David lit his fist with Phoenix fire. The wyvern roared and charged at the duo. Mira and David dodge the charge and went for the attack.
"Evil explosion." Mira yelled and got close to the wyvern and held her hands together and a dark colored sphere gathered on her hit the wyvern at the side of its center mass. The wyvern hissed in pain.
David went to strike at the wyvern and yelled " Fire Phoenix blazing fist" He punched the wyvern in the face.
The wyvern roared in anger. The wyvern stomped it feat.
Then rock pillars erupted off the cave sailing and came right at the duo. They dodged the pillar coming toward them
"Since when can a wyvern do that." yelled Mira as she was dodging another pillar
David looked at wyvern for a moment before widening and yelled " It is an elemental."
The wyvern stopped the attack and turned to the duo and it started to pace at them like a predator does to its prey.
"You mind telling me what we're dealing with ." whispered Mira while looking at the wyvern slowly pacing them
"Fenikkusu said that there are wyvern that can be born with elemental power but it is an extremely rare trait." David whisper
"So we are at a disadvantage here." whisper Mira
"Yep and if I had to guess that this one earth based one." whisper David
"Really I couldn't tell." Mira whisper dripping with sarcasm
"We need a plan." whisper David
Mira let out a growl "you are starting to sound redhead."
"Well we need a plan." said David
" Fine what the plan." asked Mira
"The wyvern can manipulate the earth, we need to end it now." Said David
"So hit it Harder then." Mira said with a wicked grin
"Yah pretty much." Said David
They both rushed at the wyvern.
" Phoenix blazing claw's." yelled David as he kicked the wyvern hard
The wyvern roared in anger and went to strike the Phoenix slayer but it did not notice the demon come up behind it
"Hey you overgrown lizard, look over here." The wyvern looked to the demon and saw a large sphere of dark energy was charged between her hands "Eat this Demon blast ." She fired a dark beam at the wyvern. It cost the cave to shake as dust went everywhere. David put his left arm to his eyes to shield his eyes from the dust that went everywhere.
Mira smirked triumphantly and Said "that will teach him." David then heard some light stomps " Mira get out of the way." David yelled. Mira then heard David and looked in front of her. The wyvern launched out of the dust at Mira and it hit Mira hard she hit the wall hard.
"Mira" yelled David as he ran toward her. But the wyvern hit him with its tail and flung him to the wall.
"That one's going to hurt in the morning." Mira said coughing now as pain spread out her body she looked up and to see the wyvern coming at her with it jaws are open as it is trying to eat her. ' Come on Mira think of something before that overgrown lizard eats you.' but before she can think of something. The wyvern was hit by something hard. What hit it was David but Mira noticed that his coat was off and his right arm was made out of FIRE. Mira also noticed that his magic power increased.
"Stay away from her you bastard." said David as he landed in front of Mira
The wyvern recovered and a breath attack at him. It was a mix of fire and earth at him. David decided to respond in kind "Fire phoenix breath" David unleashed a tornado of Fire out of his mouth. The two attack's meet head on and cost an explosion.
The cave was starting to become unstable. David thought ' Damn i need to finish this now. The cave is starting to collapse in an itself. But in order to do that I need the damn lizard to stay still.
Mira was in shock not only did have the magic power to match her in power but he's right arm was made out of fire. His shoulder all the way down to his finger's.
The dust cleared the wyvern look at David with a murderous glare for destroying it home
David then smirked and said "let's end this big guy."
The wyvern roared and charged at David with a murderous intent. David simply put his right hand out and yelled "Fire phoenix blast" he let out a Fireball that hit the dead on and that caused an explosion.
The wyvern roared in pain then it noticed a magic circle under it.
"Fire phoenix chains" chains made out of fire latched on to it. Making it impossible for it to move.
David now had his chance. He charged at the wyvern. Getting ready to unleash one of his most powerful attacks "eat this." "Fire phoenix slayer secret art : apocalyptic blazing blade" his right hand and had a fire concentrating around it. The attack hit the wyvern straight in the head affecting killing it. The attack also caused a large explosion that rocked the mountain.
David waits for the dust from the explosion. The dust cleared and shows the corpse of the wyvern laying there.
David let out a sigh of relief. Then he turned around to find Mira looking at him with shocked eyes and mouth hanging open. David sighed at this 'this is going to a long explanation.'
Then the cave that they funded themselves in started to collapse. They looked at each other. They need to get out of here. But Mira who was hurt from the wyvern surprise attack earlier. David then decided to carry her bridal style which made her blushed. Then David started to run to the exit that was opened by David attack earlier.
David ran as fast as could while caring Mira. he then requip his coat and right leather glove back on. David knows why Fenikkusu taught requip magic because it is convenient when you need it the most.
Mira noticed that he used requip to get his coat and right leather glove back on. But when his coat and right leather glove back on but she noticed his magic power decreased. Was that arm of his a power booster of some kind
David carried Mira out of the mount and into the forest area. Despite Mira telling him to put her down that she was fine to walk.
Once they were in safe distance David put Mira down.
Then Mira punched him over the right shoulder hard.
This of course causes him to wince and yell at her "What was that for."
Mira looked and him and said "That was for not putting me when I asked also when and how is your right arm made out of literal fire
"First of all I'm sorry for not putting you down when you asked. Second my right arm may be made out of fire completely. It's still their physical." David still hurting from punch on right shoulder
That got Mira to give a look of confusion. She hit him on shoulder because she thought that wouldn't hurt him "What that hurt you?" she asked
David let out a sigh. He knew that she was going to have questions "yes it did and it is not like that i make my arm disappear on a whim. It's like a normal arm that is made out of fire." he tried to explain.
"So how did you get the arm then and what happened to your normal arm." She asked him
David was now leaning against the tree " Some cultist asshole somehow saw me going to the mountains he was following me to the mountains. I somehow heard him and when i saw him he knew the jig was up and he started to run after me. When he finally caught up he charged at me and cut off my right arm. I lost blood fast so I was starting to faint but before I fainted I heard a bird screech and the next thing I know I woke up in a cave and with a new arm." David finished his story how he got his arm
"So how did the bird give you the arm then. Did he use some sort of spell." asked Mira even though this must be hard for him
David let out a sigh "when i asked how he made me the arm. He said he used part of his soul to create it. When I asked him why he would do that he simply said because he wanted to save me." he finished
"Can I see it again please." Mira asked him
David did not resound but nodded.
He requiped his coat and glove off.
Mira saw the arm made out of fire again. He wasn't kidding when he said it looked like a normal arm. Now that she wasn't shocked. She couldn't stop her from going over and put her hand on his arm. It was firm she could tell you that much, not what she expected to feel. She half expect her hand to go through it. But she noticed his magic increased did it have something to with his arm.
"Mira." David said while trying to fight off the blush that was in his cheeks
"What wait." Mira said as she came out of her trance. She noticed that she was touching his arm. She blushed and quickly back off of him.
"I noticed that arm of your increased you magic." asked Mira, wanting to change the subject and trying to fight back the blush she had.
"Yah it does that. Fenikkusu said it had something to do with his soul. But whenever i cover it completely it decreases my magic power by a bit." David explained while he requiped his coat and glove back on
"Why does it do that." Mira asked him confused
"I do not know but he told me to only use that power if you are out of options." he finished
Mira did not know what to say.
"Hey can you promise me something." asked David while he got off the tree
"Yah sure what is." asked Mira
"Can you not tell the guild about the arm." asked David getting a confused look from Mira
"What why." asked Mira
"Because I want to tell them about my arm ok." Said David
"Fine I will not tell them." Said Mira with a smile
"Thank you and let's go back to the town so we get our pay." said David starting to walk back to town Mira followed him
Until…
They heard a massive crash behind them.
They turned around and saw that the mountain was leveled.
David looked stunned while Mira laughed. Mira then turned around and patted him in the back and said " now you are a fairy tail member."
David gave her a blank looked. She laughed and said "Come on let go."
He sighed turned to walk with Mira she flashed him a smile he smiled in return
Meanwhile at the town
The towns people look shocked as they just saw a mountain crashing down on it self
The mayor looked shocked 'they do live up to those rumors.'
Mira and David returned to the town. They received the reward all there they had to give the mayor 2 million jewels for the damages which David apologized several times to Mira amusement. They got on the next train which David decided to take a nap as soon as he sat down.
Mira looked at him for a moment then a small escaped her lip 'he looks cute when he sleeps.' she thought then she look out the window
2 hours later
David was sleeping soundly until someone was shaking him "Mom i don't want to get out of bed." he said half asleep. Then he heard snickering. that woke him up. He fully opened his eyes to see Mira in front of him with an amused smile. ' That smile can make me do anything.' thought David with a blush.
David quickly composed him and asked " Are we there yet." asked David
"Yes we're here come on." said Mira as she help him get up
"Great let's get going." David said heading with Mira towards the exit of the train and entered the train station
They left the train station and went to the fairy tail guild hall.
They were greeted by a couple people waved at them. It was then he notice that there was a deal of magic power coming from the guild
He decided to tell Mira about it "Hey Mira."
Mira looked at him and said "Yah."
"I'm sensing great magic power coming from the guild hall and it is not come from the master." David
Mira looked at him with confusion than one of joy. She grabbed his hand and went full speed at the guild hall
David was shocked to say the least "why are we going fast."
She looked at him and said " you'll see." was all she said
They made it to the guild hall in no time
She gestured for him to open the door.
He opened the door to find everyone there. But there was one person he that stud out from the others
He was sitting next to the master in the bar area. He had a cloak over his body and orange hair
"Hey, we're back." Mira said out loud for everyone to hear
The guild turned to see them returned. They were greeted by welcome by guild
Mira's siblings come to them.
"So how was the job." Asked Lisanna
"It went fine." said Mira.
"Well that great." said Lisanna
"David." The master called out to David
"Yah master." said David
"Come here please." asked the master
" I am going to see what the master wants." David
David went to the master leaving the sibling alone
Lisanna looked her sister with a grin
"How was your time with David." asked Lisanna
"It was fine we talked for a bit." Mira said while remaining composed
Then Erza came to Mira dismay.
"Come on Mira we want to know what happened on your date with David." Ezra with a smirk
Mira knew Ezra would do this so she gave Erza an irritated look "Scarlet first of it was not a date and second nothing interesting hap…" then the memory when she wake up right next to David played out then a blush appeared on her face
Erza saw the blush and pressed on " So something did happen ."
Mira came back to reality and gave her a murderous glare as a purple aura started to appear around her. then she butted head with Ezra and said "listen here you armored freak nothing happened."
"I beg to differ with you gothic tramp." said Erza with her own red aura .then they went at it again
The Brother and sister of the Demon both a sweat drop at this
Meanwhile With David
"Yah master what is it." Then he looked at the orange hair men. "And who is this master? Not to sound rude or anything.
That got a chuckle from both men then the master decided to speak "Well i want to know how the job went with Mira and seconded this is Gildarts."
"So you're the new member I keep hearing about. People say you Fire phoenix slayer is that true." asked Gildarts looking at the Fire phoenix slayer.
"Yes si." David was saying but was interrupted by Gildarts
"Please kid just call me Gildart." said Gildarts with laugh
" All right Gildar." then David was interrupted again this time by the Fire Dragon slayer
"GILDARTS FIGHT ME." Yelled the Fire Dragon slayer.
Natsu charged at Gildarts. Gildarts simply hit the Fire Dragon slayer in the back of the Gildarts said " Better luck next time Natsu."
"Idiot" Gray said sitting at a table looking at the direction of the group
Natsu somehow heard this and kick Gray in the face and he is flying and crash into another table
Gray got up and looked at natsu with an icy cold glare "what the hell was that for you fire breathing maron." Gray got up to Natsu face emitting a cold blue aura
"That was for calling me an idiot you ice stripper." Natsu said emitting a fiery aura of his own then they fought
David saw this and said " This is going to happen often is in it?"
David looked at the master and Gildarts how nodded David sighed and sat down on a stool then order a sandwich
While waiting for it to be done the Master asked again "How was the job with Mira."
That got Gildart. Mira went on a job with him " You went on a job with Mira. Did something interesting happen."
David got his sandwich then thought about for a moment then " no not really unless you count me leaving an entire mountain from the inside then yah." said David while the master had a shocked face. Gildart had a smile.
"Welcome to fairy tail kid." said Gildart laugh
' the damages.' thought the Master then sighed he should expect this by now "Well I am just happy that you two are back."
David nodded as he grabbed his sandwich. Right as he was about to take a bite then a combination of an ice and fire beam from Natsu and Gray brawl. hit him in the and cost a small explosion.
As the dust cleared David saw his perfectly made sandwich was now burnt or frozen in ice.
David said nothing as he got up and slowly made his way to the two who dared destroy his perfect sandwich
As he slowly walked to the duo that destroyed his sandwich. The entire guild watched with interest on what he was going to do to the two. That even stopped Mira and Erza from fighting.
"What your boyfriend doing." asked Erza
The boyfriend part irritated the hell out of her but she calmed herself down and said " i don't know you red head armored freak."
The only ones not aware where David was going was Natsu and Gray as they were focused on punching each other.
' maron's ' as David thought as he rolled his eyes
He raised his right hand then snapped his fingers. Then fire made chains trapped the two.
now the duo were confused. Where did these chains come from? Then they noticed that the chains were made out of fire. Nastu saw that they were made out of fire. He went to eat the chains. But then found out he could not open as there was now a chain to his jaw keeping it shut. Now that they were no longer fighting they could hear footsteps coming towards them. They looked where the footsteps were coming from. They saw David slowly coming toward
them.
David stops right in front of them. He sent the two a heated glare.
The two were now sweating in nervousness. What was he going to do to them?
Without saying a thing he hit them very very hard. The two were out cold on the floor.
The guild went quilt at what he did. David decided that his work was done and he went back to where he was sitting and ordered another sandwich. The guild looked at the two that were now out cold then back at David.
Then the guild roared with laughter. Mira was on the floor laughing as tears of joy were coming out of her eyes . Erza simply smirked. Lisanna was giggling. Happy was doing the same thing as Lisanna.
Then David grabbed his new sandwich and started to eat it 'maybe that will teach them.' as he thought happily eating his sandwich

David simply smiled while he was sitting in front of the grave. He has been sitting here for a few hour's nothing but the occasional gust of wind.
Then David sighed "You know I don't blame you pushing Lisanna out of the beast attack." he stopped for a moment. "I blame myself for that night. If you were here you'd be yelling that it was your fault." he let a sad chuckle escape his lips "And I get lost in those beautiful blue orbs that were your eyes. You could make grown men quiver in fear with those eyes but to me they were the must beautiful things in the world to me." he looked to the left to see a pale white hand on his shoulder. Then he looks up to see Mira smile down upon him. David let out a small smile but he knew that this wasn't the real Mira. It was just a specter of her. Ever since that Day the specter of Mira would alway appear in a certain time of day.
Then he looked at the grave. He then took the locket open it and saw a picture of him and Mira sitting together with a smile. Then he put it on the grave "this is your i was planning on giving it to you after we were done with that job." Then he stood up "because you are the only woman I would ever love." With that he turned to leave, then looked at the grave with a tear in his eye "i love you." with those final words he left.
