A/N: Here's another chapter! Enjoy. :)

Kimberly

After my walk with Abby in the garden, she had gone to do some schooling with Finster. It was nothing like that of schooling from my Earth but she was at least getting a form of education. I was doing my best with her as well, teaching her the basics such as math the best I could. Unfortunately, I was ripped out of school at the age of sixteen thanks to Drakkon and the present situation. This left me without having more knowledge I could pass on to her but I at least could give her some stuff to get her started. During our lessons, I think about Billy and how much more he could offer as her teacher than I could.

Once she was off with Finster, I set out into the halls of the castle. This was how I learned information that Drakkon probably wasn't aware that I knew. It was a bit ironic how a man who lived off of fear and torture tactics was unable to keep his own staff from talking about vital information in an open area where anyone could hear them. Since it was well known that I was a prisoner with special privileges here, most people avoided speaking or making eye contact with me. This left me with the advantage of walking around without being forced to speak to others.

I walked up the hallways towards the area where I knew the generals and their next in command meetings. I could hear some voices in this direction so I moved forward with caution. Glancing around the corner, I saw that Goldar was standing outside of one of the doors. He was speaking to a red senturi soldier, his growling voice sounding more angry than usual.

"Lord Drakkon demands to have the towers shut down at once! Ensure this is done or you will face dire consequences." The foot soldier nodded. To the side of them, I saw another figure appear that I recognized as Lord Zedd. He walked up the hall towards Goldar. As he approached, the red soldier bowed before walking away. Golder bowed his head slightly to Lord Zedd. "I've sent him to complete Drakkon's orders, my lord."

"Wise decision, Goldar. He's not very pleased at the moment. It seems as if the current state of his powers is causing him more troubles now." Zedd said, gripping his staff in hand. "At this rate, he will have no powers to control to help him with this war unless something changes."

"Lord Drakkon will find a way, sire. He always does." Goldar said. Zedd sighed.

"Sometimes, I think your armor is on a tad too tight, you monkey brained idiot." He jabbed Golder in the side with the staff. "We don't want him to find a way. Having him lose his powers is exactly what we want."

"But, sire, wouldn't that weaken us to our enemies?"

"I swear, your brother was the smarter of you two. At least Silverback had a brain for these kinds of war tactics. We'd only be weaker if there isn't someone there to step up in his place. Someone with powers and the knowledge to rule over universes without the clouded judgement of a mere human. Someone like me." Zedd puffed his chest out. "With Drakkon weakened, I'll be able to claim the rightful place on the throne and reign over both worlds with an iron fist." Well, that was an idea. If Zedd was able to do that, it could be my opportunity to escape. I didn't know much about him except for the fact he was a leader for Drakkon in various parts of the galaxy. He seemed like an easier opponent than Drakkon, however.

"You would make an excellent ruler, your excellency." Goldar said.

"Of course I would, you baboon! I was in line to be before Rita decided to add Tommy Oliver to her team. She was a fool to trust him with that Power Coin. She went against her father's own plans to bring him into our forces. Now, look where we are. I will not be making the same mistakes as him. Connecting himself to a power source that's unstable as most of his hired help around here. At least my powers come from my own source. There's no stopping me that way. There will be no worries about a silly girl and her daughter stopping me either. I'll make sure that both of them are out of the picture." I frowned, fear creeping into my chest. I hadn't considered the idea that it was Drakkon keeping Abby and I alive here. If someone manages to defeat him that was here to save us, there was no telling what that meant for us. And it seemed like Lord Zedd already had a plan in mind of us. I couldn't let that happen, though. I couldn't risk his plan falling into place.

"Excellent plan, my lord." Goldar said, bowing his head. "Let me know my course of action and I will follow through."

"I knew I could count on you as always, Goldar." Zedd said, looking down at the ape. "Though you are dimwitted, at least your brother instilled into you the ideology of listening to the orders of the winning team. For now, keep following Drakkon's orders. He will set himself up for his own failure. He plans on leaving the castle to find the rest of those gems. We will meet with those here who wish to find a new management style as well." Zedd gripped his staff. "Don't fail me again."

"Yes, sir." Goldar bowed one last time before heading up the hall. I ducked behind the brick wall before Zedd could turn to see me. I was confused as to what his relationship with Goldar was. Goldar had a brother? I don't recall that being true in my world. Though, I didn't really get the time to exchange personal information with the hairy asshole as he was attacking us each time Rita sent him after us. Sometimes, navigating these alternate universes gave me migraines as it was hard to remember who came from where. I quickly glanced around the corner again and saw that Zedd was gone.

What the hell was I going to do now? If I didn't tell Drakkon what I had just overheard, I was risking Abby and me being murdered if Drakkon was overthrown. It also sounded like his powers were beginning to weaken. Had Zedd said again? Had this happened before? Could this be why he had come through the Morphing Grid to begin with? If that was the case, why couldn't he just do that again? I have never seen him have a moment of weakness or a lapse in power since I had been here. It was possible that Zedd was lying in hopes of building his alliances with Drakkon's forces. But, there was also a chance it was true and that Zedd was just biding his time until Drakkon wasn't able to fight back against him. I wasn't even sure what kind of powers Zedd had. I've never witnessed him in action though I had heard from Finster that his staff was the focal point of his powers. If Drakkon knew about Zedd's plan, he could stop him easily right now.

However, if I did tell Drakkon about Zedd, I was risking him not believing me. If that was the case and Zedd is able to take over, he'd kill us for sure. But if Drakkon did believe me, he would think that I was willing to work for him and his forces. The small number of allies I do have here would never be able to trust me again. Drakkon would think that I was okay being here and allowing Abby to stay here as well. Though, befriending Drakkon was something that could work in my favorite in order to escape, I knew he wouldn't be dumb enough to fall for the idea that I had a change of heart over night. Even appealing to the Tommy side of him wouldn't help me. There was no telling if that part was there anymore. God knows I've never seen it. Not since the first day I arrived here.

"You'll grow to love me." Drakkon said, folding his hands behind his back as he stepped towards the door. "Just like you'll grow to love our unborn child." My eyes widened as I looked at him.

"What?" I whispered, my hands instantly going to my midriff area. "What did you do to me, you sick bastard?" He laughed, stopping to look back at me.

"I did nothing but prevent you from dying. That's how I discovered your little secret. Though, I'm guessing you weren't aware either. It seems to be very early in the pregnancy."

"You liar!" I yelled, glaring at him. "There's no way I'm carrying your baby."

"In a relative way, you are." He said, leaning against the door frame. Granted, I'm not the Tommy who impregnated you but a part of me is indeed Tommy Oliver." I ran my fingers through my hair, shaking my head. This couldn't be true. How could I possibly be pregnant? We had just slept together the other day?! It doesn't work that fast. I'm no doctor but I at least took basic health last year to know that much. This asshole had to be lying out of his teeth. Or he did something to me when I was out cold.

"You're wrong." I said. "It's not possible."

"I'm afraid so, dear." Drakkon said. "I'll admit I was a bit surprised myself. See, when I was your age, my version of Kimberly would never have agreed to get to that level at such a young age. Morals are the work of the devil, if I do say so myself. But, everyone has needs right? Especially when you love someone. I know what you had with Tommy was special. There's no shame in declaring that with some good old fashion fucking." He gave me a grin that made my stomach churn. "So, when Finster and I were healing you, we discovered that you were indeed pregnant. You're about three weeks along I believe."

"That's how I know you're bluffing." I said. "It hasn't been that long since I was with Tommy."

"You don't need to give me the details. I'm sure it was lovely. I was guessing it happened right before your arrival here. That would make sense." He picked a piece of lint from his sleeve. "It's hard to believe you've been here for a month already."

"What?" I whispered again. A month? "I was asleep for a month?"

"Off and on. That type of wound takes time and power to heal. I'm glad to see that you are up and about. I was concerned you wouldn't be able to for another few weeks."

"This can't be happening." I said, turning away from him. I couldn't be here. I couldn't be here, alone. I couldn't be here, alone, and pregnant with Tommy's baby. And it couldn't be true that Tommy was dead.

"I know this is a great deal to take in at one time. Perhaps you should lay down. I can have them bring you something to help with the pain." Drakkon offered. I didn't turn to look at him, that hint of Tommy in his voice making my chest ache painfully. "I'm sorry for your loss."

"My loss happened because of you!" I screamed, whipping around to look at him through tear clouded eyes. "You're the reason Tommy is gone. You're the reason that all of my friends are gone. You're the reason I am here. None of this would have happened if you hadn't come to our world. Don't give me your phony apologies and don't try to trick me into thinking you were worried or concerned about me. I've dealt with this version of Tommy before. Trust me. I know how evil and manipulative you can be and I will not put up with it. I don't care how long you hold me captive here or what you do to me. I will never, ever, love a man like you." I took a step closer to him, moving as close as my restraint would let me. "I would rather die a thousand deaths before feeling anything but hate for you. And you will never mean anything to me or my child."

As I looked at Drakkon, I saw something for a brief moment. It resembled hurt in his facial features, reminding me of when I yelled at Tommy for the first time. His eyes widened and then hardened before he stood up straight. I balled my hands into fists, preparing myself for a battle if need be. His eyes flashed green and I saw his fingertips begin to glow a green color. He clenched his jaw and narrowed his eyes at me. He raised his hand out towards me and I took a deep breath, waiting for the attack.

It never came though.

I was shocked as he let his arm drop, the glow disappearing from his hands and eyes. As they returned to normal, he took a deep breath. Then another. Finally, he raised his head to look at me again with an eerily calm look to his face.

"I will give you your time and space. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask one of the staff. One will be here at this door for you at all times. I'll come to see you another time." He turned back to the door. "Please make yourself at home." With that, he walked out the door.

"Get back here!" I yelled, trying to follow him. My chain pulled tight, causing me to fall to the ground. "Get back in here and face me! Send me back home! I don't want to be here!" I screamed, trying to reach the door with my finger tips. Tears streamed down my face. Sitting up, I saw that Tommy's helmet was still sitting on the bed.

Slowly, I stood up and walked over to it. Gingerly, I reached out and touched the top of it. The hard armor felt cool against my finger tips. Carefully, I picked it up and turned it over. I looked inside and saw that there was more blood on in the side of the helmet where his right temple would have been. Reaching inside, I ran my hand along the padding and felt my fingers graze something. Grabbing it, I pulled a folded piece of paper out. Putting the helmet back on the bed, I held the paper between my fingers. Unfolding it, I saw that it was a picture of me, a bright smile looking up at the camera. I wasn't quite sure when the picture was taken but my handwriting was on the back of it. To Tommy, Love Kim. There was a heart after my name. I knew Tommy kept a picture of me in his helmet. It was something I had heard Jason and Zack rag on him about.

"Tommy." I whispered, putting my hands on my stomach. "I promise I'm going to save myself and I'm going to save our baby. Please wait for me. Please be alive somewhere. I promise, I'm coming back to you."

"Drakkon is busy." A gruff voice said as I approached the throne room. Gazing over, I saw that it was Onn, a Gargarian warrior that often secured the area where Drakkon is. He was newer to the force, his planet being taken over during the invasion of the galaxy. He was a huge guy, one I could see that Drakkon kept around for a reason. His greyish green skin was thick like that of a rhino, large black eyes on the middle of his head where a nose should be. Instead of a nose, he had a long snout with two holes that oozed out some kind of disgusting gunk all the time. He also had tusks that stuck out of his mouth and breath that could kill a person if they dared to get near him. Finster told me that Onn was a young version of his kind, his people living for centuries at a time. I wondered what he would look like as an adult.

"Tell him to make time." I said, crossing my arms.

"I will do no such thing." He replied, shaking his head. This made the metal of his axe clank against the hard armor of his chest plate.

"I was told to come see him." I said flatly.

"I was not informed of this." He eyed me, not moving. I sighed, patience growing thin.

"Drakkon!" I called out, my voice echoing off the brick stone walls around us. I knew it would carry into the throne room. A few seconds later, the sound of footsteps came towards us and Drakkon appeared in the doorway.

"Ah, Kimberly. Thank you for coming. Onn, she can come in." He said, putting a hand on the beast's shoulder.

"Sire, are you sure?" Onn asked, sounding as if he was not trusting of me being near his Lord Drakkon.

"Yes. Kimberly is free to come see me at any time she wishes. Relax, Onn. Enjoy life a little." Drakkon stepped aside, letting me pass. I heard Onn let out a gruff sigh before we were out of ear shot from him. "I apologize for him. He tends to be a bit protective."

"I wonder why." I said. "You murdered his entire planet. Poor thing probably has Stockholm Syndrome." Drakkon let out a laugh, walking over to his throne. He leisurely sat in it, propping his foot up on a stone piece that protruded from the bottom of it.

"I can assure you that no one will miss those people being around." Sighing, he settled back into his seat. "I'm glad you came to see me."

"Like I told the ugly door man, I was told to come." I replied. "What do you want?"

"I have a request to ask of you." He said, leaning forward. "I need to head out on an adventure and I would like your company on this trip." I snorted.

"Why on Earth do you think I would go anywhere with you?" I questioned. He held his hands up, shrugging.

"It's been five years, Kim. You would think by now you would have some trust in me." I raised an eyebrow at him. "Fine. I need to venture out to another dimension to retrieve something and I need someone who can possess a Power Coin. You are the only one in our world who can do so. I figured you might enjoy the chance to leave the castle and see new things for once."

"I'm not leaving Abby here without me." I said. "And I'm not helping you do shit. Figure out your own way to do whatever you need to do. I'm not doing it."

"Kimberly, I wish you wouldn't put me into these situations." Lazily, he leaned against the arm of the throne. "I don't enjoy making you do things."

"Bull shit." I spat. "You get a sick pleasure out of it. You do it with everyone."

"Well, you're different. I don't find joy in making you do things you don't want to do but the current situation calls for swift action and I cannot let this opportunity slip by due to your unwillingness to assist me."

"You make it sound like this is life or death, Drakkon. What's the big deal? Little issue with your powers?" I questioned. He didn't move to answer me, his eyes glancing over me for a short moment. "Like I said, I'm not leaving Abby here without me. Besides, I wouldn't help you do anything that will help you win."

"If you don't help me, you'll never see Abby again." He said simply. I glared at him. "I told you, Kim. I don't enjoy doing this."

"She's my daughter! You can't keep me from her." I exclaimed.

"I can and I will. This is just a simple mission. We go retrieve what I need and come right back. Abby doesn't even need to know we've gone. Finster has agreed to watch over her while we are there. He can protect her better than anyone else in this castle. I'll also ensure that Goldar protects her."

"No." I said, sternly. "He is to go nowhere near my daughter." Drakkon gazed at me, a look of slight confusion on his features.

"I know he's not that great to look at but Goldar is a strong fighter. He can save her from anything as well." He offered. I shook my head.

"Keep him and Zedd away from her. If you're making me do this, then at least promise me that Finster will keep her away from them."

"If I didn't know any better, I would feel that you are aware of something I'm not." He said, standing. He walked over towards me, looking down at my face.

"Lord Drakkon." Goldar's deep gargling voice said as he appeared in the doorway. Both Drakkon and I turned to look at him. "Your presence is requested in the War Room."

"I will be there in a moment, Goldar." Drakkon said, turning back to me.

"Lord Zedd said it was urgent, sire." Goldar said.

"Leave us." Drakkon said, barely looking over his shoulder at Goldar. The general glared over at me before sulking out of the room, the sound of his heavy footsteps echoing off the stone walls as he went further into the castle. I heard Drakkon sigh before he pinched the bridge of his nose. He looked fatigued in this light, the bags under his eyes just heightened by the purple veins that ran up from his chin into his cheeks. For that brief moment, I could see the distant memory of Tommy Oliver in his features. I could see where the faded dimple in his cheek and where the warmth had been in his brown eyes. My chest hurt at the thought of Tommy and how this was the only way I could see his face any more. "If you would let me train her-."

"I don't want to hear it." I said, crossing my arms. "Save yourself the trouble."

"Kimberly, you haven't even given it time to process in your mind." He said, finally turning to look at me fully. He attempted a lazy smile as he stepped down from the ledge of the platform where his throne was. "I think that she will enjoy training."

"She's a little girl!" I exclaimed, narrowing my eyes towards him. "There is no reason she needs to learn how to defend herself or to fight when she's only five years old."

"You and I both know there is plenty of reason in this world we are living in now." He said.

"Yeah. In this world that you created." I hissed.

"That's neither here nor there." He said, shrugging his shoulders. "I just feel that our daughter deserves the right to be able to protect herself if the occasion calls for it."

"She isn't your daughter." I said. It was his time to glare at me, a twitch of anger in his eyes. I knew he wanted to lash out at me. I could read it all over his face. He didn't though. I could imagine he wanted to slap me or put me in his place. He never does though. After all this time of being locked in here as his prisoner, I was still amazed that he never lays a hand on me. I had heard horror stories of the things he did to the Ranger Slayer. One included how he would nearly torture her to the point of death to teach her about behaving and staying in line. Had they just been stories? He cleared his throat and shook his head.

"I am doing what's best for everyone involved. Our worlds could live in unity. This can only happen once the Rangers stand down. Until then, I will do what is best for my people and my family." I let out a laugh.

"Family? Do you even know what family means? A family is people that love you. I don't even think you are capable of loving another person besides yourself." I balled my fists. "You ripped me from the family I had when you brought me here."

"Enough with the dramatics, Kimberly." He said. "I brought you here and saved your life. Without me, you would only be a distant memory in your world. Besides, your so-called family was always broken. Your father ran off before you even knew what a divorce was and your mother was too busy trying to find you a different step daddy each week to even notice you. Is that really the kind of family you want to raise your daughter around?"

"That wasn't the family I was talking about." I said. That sting of remembrance hit me as I thought of my friends. They were the ones back home, fighting the fight to try to beat Drakkon in our time. I had no idea who was winning and who was even still alive. That thought scared me to my core most nights. Was there a chance that they were all still alive and okay? I prayed they were and that they were the ones who had the upper hand. I could always tell when Drakkon wasn't though and this was not the Drakkon who was losing.

"You mean those pathetic people you called friends?" He asked, a smirk tugged on his lips. "You must be joking. How on Earth were they more of a family to you?" I knew he was mocking me. I could read it in his eyes. How could they be the same as Tommy's? His were always so warm and caring. These were cold and filled with malice.

"They love me and I know I can count on them." I said. He chuckled, walking closer to me. He started to circle me, like a shark around its prey.

"Then why are you still here then?" He whispered in my ear. "Clearly, they would have been the first to arrive to save you from this evil place of mine."

"They're a tad bit busy with this war you've started." I said through gritted teeth.

"Ah but I mean, surely they would have found the time to break through my forces to rescue one of their own. That's what family is supposed to do, isn't it?"

"Stop it." I glared at him. "I know what you're trying to do and it isn't going to work."

"I'm not trying to do anything." He said, continuing to pace around me. "All I am saying is that if family is supposed to save you and be there for you in your time of need, it seems like I'm the only family you have now, Kimberly. I saved your life and have been caring for both you and your daughter since. Who would do that if they didn't consider you family?"

"Someone looking for leverage in a battle they can't win." He stopped in front of me and brought his face close to me.

"Oh, but Kimberly, I am winning."
