"Okay...the cameras showed that Li got in a black sedan when he got out of that armored car." Izuku said.
"We've checked all of them that were crashed. Li wasn't in any of them, neither was the Devil's Breath." Kaibara said.
"We gotta be rational about this. If he wants that stuff spread across the city, he'll need a dispersal method." Yaoyorozu said.
"We'll keep looking from our end." Tails said. "Hmm...Li has covered his tracks pretty well."
"We can't stop. We gotta...wait...where's Thorani?" Sachiko asked.
"Not sure. I haven't seen her all day." Ajna said.
"Hmm...I'll try her comm. Thorani? Are you there?" Tails asked.
"Yes but...I can't really talk." Thorani whispered. "I'm...in a hostage situation?"
"What?!" Tails said.
"Li and his men. They've taken GCT and they have Devil's Breath with them." Thorani whispered.
"GCT...Grand Central Terminal. There's an Oscorp expo there today." Jeremie said.
"Yes. He has the device set up and he keeps trying to get Norman over here." Thorani said.
"I get it. He wants Norman to set it off. Make him the responsible one." Tails said. "I'll send the location to the others now. Thorani, see anything there that might cause trouble?"
"Uh...I see strange flying machines." Thorani said.
"More than likely drones. Armed no doubt. Listen, we can save everyone and take down Li and the Demons, but you need to do as I say." Tails said.
"Alright." Thorani said.
"Now listen, one of the guards should have a tablet. It'll be what controls the drones. Do you think you can grab it and shut them down?" Tails asked.
"I think so, if I form a water pool behind one of the guards, I should be able to warp to it and grab the tablet from behind." Thorani said.
"Just do it slowly. If they catch on to what you're doing, they'll openfire." Jeremie said.
'Understood." Thorani said as she whipped her hair, splashing some water close to the tablet as she warped over. "Okay...I'm shutting down the drones." she said messing with the tablet as the drones weapons were disabled.
"Excellent. Now...this next part is going to be a little dangerous but...you're going to be the one disarming the bomb." Tails said.
"How do I disarm it?" Thorani asked. "And won't they shoot at me?"
"Don't worry. We'll be providing some cover." Tails said as inside GCT, some webs were stuck to a sign and pulled over some of the Demons as Thorani hurried over to the bomb.
"Okay, what do you see?" Jeremie asked.
"Four wires. Two blue, one yellow and one red. Looks like blue connects to what you people call the battery. Yellow seems to connect to the fan. And the red has an exclamation mark." Thorani said.
"Okay. You'll wanna detach the wires connected to the battery first. Trace the wires to the other end and unplug them there." Tails said.
"Alright." Thorani said as she traced the wires over to the other end and pulled them. "What the?! The timer changed to 30 seconds!"
"Damn. It's a collapsing circuit." Mari cursed. "Disconnect the fan next and then the last wire. But you need to hurry."
"I know. I'm hurrying as carefully as I can. I refuse to let more lives be lost." Thorani said as she did so. "Phew...did it." she said as the heroes arrived inside to fight off the demons. She then noticed Li heading down a tunnel. "I'm giving chase to Mr. Negative, have the others follow my comm signal." she said, using her water to chase after Li.
"Wait...if she's chasing him in GCT...wait, Thorani!" Tails called out too late as Thorani ended up on the train.
"Chaos and destruction have troubled this city well enough the past few days. It has to stop or more lives will be endangered." Thorani said.
"Finally…" Mr. Negative said standing on the other end of the car as the train took off.
"Apologies for coming late." Thorani said as she started dodging his negative energy attacks. "I need to keep a distance until….now!" she said striking him as he stopped to recharge. "You're sick! Let me help you, Martin."
Mr. Negative however was not as willing to accept her help as she grabbed her as they jumped into a nearby passenger train as the fight persisted.
"If this is something you have against Osborn, it will not solve anything, you would only endanger more innocent lives." Thorani said. "Please stop before this goes beyond the point of no return. I do not wish to hurt you." she said, firing water bolts.
Mr. Negative then had her pinned to the ground as he charged a negative energy blast. "Nothing can hurt me. Not anymore." he said.
"(Luksao, everyone, forgive me.)" Thorani thought."(No...I can't surrender like this!)" she thought before blasting him with a stream of water, knocking him into a junction box, shocking the man until he passed out.
"Okay, Li. Time to...whoa." Spider Man said before seeing the scene. "Whoa...Water Mystic went and beat me to it."
"Spider Man." Thorani said. "Apologies for that. Thankfully he is only unconscious." she said.
"Yeah but I'm a little more worried for us since...we have no brakes." Spider Man said seeing the shorted out junction box. "Well...better hope this works." Spider Man said as he thwipped at the sides of the tunnel to try and slow it down only for it to fail. "Dang, worked so well last time." he said as they entered a public station.
"What do we do?" Thorani asked.
"Hey, Yuri? Are they still doing construction on 42nd and 1st?" Spider Man asked on his own comm as he jumped to the ceiling.
"It's still being worked on for another month." Yuri said.
Spider Man then started attaching webs to the tracks before pulling them upward as the train went up and through the ceiling onto said intersection as it slowed to a stop. As Li slowly crawled, he saw Spider Man and Thorani standing over him.
"Next stop...prison." Spider Man said.
"I'm sorry." Thorani apologized with a sad expression.
It was soon after that the law went and arrested Mr. Negative and went about transporting him to the Raft while the Devil's Breath was being delivered back to Oscorp, courtesy of the Sable agents.
"Well...this mess with the Demons is finally over." Izuku said.
"Agreed. A shame Li had to go down this path for some beef with Osborn." Kamakiri said. "Wonder what it was."
"Guess we'll never know. Hopefully he'll get better with time." Kendo said.
"I hope so too." Thorani said.
"Yeah...so let's…" Jexi said before looking at the TV.
"And so to confirm, this was the truck that was carrying the device used in the attack." a reporter said showing an overturned armored truck.
"Wasn't...wasn't that the truck with the Devil's Breath inside?" Kaminari asked.
"It never ends." Setsuna said.
