Hey everyone, school is now over, I still have to work a lot, but I have a lot more free time. Now this is a short chapter because this is the first Paralogue, the reason it took so long to write was because of work and my college finals. Also me and PhantomCross19 will get back to our co-story we started last summer, and now that it's summer for us, the two of us will be starting our Red vs Blue Pokemon Files again. I hope you like it and we got more down this summer.
Oh and just to let you know I'm terrible with OC speech patterns f sme people, if it's something like (gettin') I can do that, but Donnel Speech pattern is a lot harder for me to write.
So here's chapter 7.
Chapter 7
Sickle to Sword and Fighter to Rider
After getting the help from Regna Ferox, everyone was heading back to Ylisstol to report their success. "I can't wait to see Ylisstol." Harper said to everyone. "Yeah I'm excited to see where you made a home." Daniel said to Simon. "I wouldn't say home. I was there for a few hours before I got sent on the mission." Simon said to Daniel. "Then I'm excited to see where everyone else calls home." Daniel said to everyone. "Yeah you're going to love Ylisstol. Even you will Happiny." Lissa said to Daniel, as she pet Happiny's head.
Then they heard some rustling in the bushes next to them. This got everyone on edge. But then the edge dropped like a stone, when a young man, with white skin, grey hair curly hair, a x mark under his left eye, wearing common clothes, with a spear in his hands, and a brass pot for a helmet. Next to the young man was a brown donkey with a tan muzzle, legs, and belly, and a thick black mane and tail. The young man and the donkey had their heads lowered catching their breath.
"A young man with a pot on his head and a Mudbray?" Simon said wondering what's going on. "A Mudbray?" Lissa asked Simon. Simon said nothing and pulled out his Rotom Phone.
Mudbray.
The Donkey Pokemon.
Ground.
Loads Weighing Up To 50 Times As Much As Its Body Weight Pose No Issue For This Pokemon. It's Skilled At Making Use Of Mud.
Simon then put his Rotom Phone away, as the young man noticed us. The Young man then dropped his spear and ran to Chrom. "Help! You gots to help us! I'm beggin' you, milords!" The young man asked Chrom, as he placed his hands on Chrom. "Slow down. What happened?" Chrom asked the young man.
Then a man wearing a beast skull, and fur pelt over his shoulder and back, no shirt, short pants, and an axe in hand came at them. "Oy! There's the wee piglet and his donkey." The man with the skull said to the young man. "Great. Bandits." Chrom said to everyone. "What's this? A little lording come to watch over his cattle?" the bandit said before laughing.
Then the bandit noticed who everyone was. "Aw, damn me! Sh-Shepherds!" The bandit said to himself. "That's right. So, what'll it be? Run and live? Or fight and die?" Chrom asked the bandit. The bandit said nothing and ran away. "Quickly, lad. What happened here?" Chrom asked the young man. "Y-yes, milord! Right Away, Milord! Er, if it pleases Your Graciousness." The young man said to Chrom.
"Maybe just hold off on titles for now. What's your name?" Chrom asked the young man. "Donny. Er, that is, Donnel. Your Majestyful. And this little boy is my pokemon partner Mudbray. We live in the village just beyond, sir." The young man said to Chrom. "I guess that'll do. Now, what happened?" Chrom asked Donnel. "That rotten-toothed, pig-stinkin' bandit you just ran off attacked us! Er, pardon my language, Your Lordliness. Me and my partner Mudbray were the only ones what got away, even then just barely. if it wasn't for Theo we would have never gotten the chance to escape." Donnel said to Chrom.
"Wait did you just say Theo?" Simon asked Donnel. "Yes. Theo has been living with us for the past week. Then when the bandits attack. He and his Pokemon gathered the people in my village into a defencive area as he said and is keeping them safe, while the bandits tore apart our town. But the bandits have been hounding him, he can't hold out much longer, so I ran to go find help." Donnel said to Simon. "That's not good." Simon said to everyone.
"Please, sir! You gots to save them folks! My ma's one of 'em, and… She's all I got in this world! Please, Your Royal Highness!" Donnel said to Chrom. "This blasted war seems to spawn more by the day. All right, Donny, we'll saver your ma. Can you lead us to her?" Chrom asked Donnel. "And Theo too?" Simon asked Donnel. "Aw, thank you, Milord! Thank you! Just follow me, Your Sirness!" Donnel said as he led the way.
Meanwhile the bandit ran back to his bandits friends, who were standing in front of a barn, and told them what he saw. "And you're sure a'this?" The bandit leader said to the bandit. "On the grave of my sainted mother, I swear it. It was Chrom and his Shepherd, and no mistake!" The bandit said to his leader. "Heh heh heh. A fancy lord'll fetch a nigh ransom from noble folk. We'll have the little man squealin, for mercy in no time!" The leader said to the bandit.
"Please leave, you have already destroyed our homes and taken our stuff." A woman said from inside the barn. "Ma'am stay down." Theo said as he pulled her back into cover. "Quit yer bleating'!" The leader said to Theo and the woman. "Oy, Roddick! I think that cow's the mum of the brat what ran away with his donkey." The bandit said to the leader.
"Say, I know this woman. She's the wife of the man what brake my rib last time we were 'ere!" Roddick said to the woman. "And you killed him for it, monster! I wish he'd done for you first…" Donnel's mother said to Roddick, but was interrupted by Roddick laughing. "Small wonder the brat's got more brass than brains if you're his mum. Guess we'll see for ourselves when we catch him, eh? Maybe we'll even make ya watch as we gut him! Bwa ha ha!" Roddick said to Donnel's mother.
"N-no! Please, he's just a boy!" Donnel's mom begged. "You're crazy. And what makes you think you can. In case you forgot let me remind you of four fighters you have to get through first. HIT THEM HARD GUY!" Theo said to Roddick, before four creatures jumped off the roof.
The first creature was a tall buff creature with big yellow lips, two toes on his feet, three bumps on his head, wearing a black spedio with a belt with a red P on it, and having an extra set of buff arms on his back. "Machamp." The creature said, as he grabbed four Bandits with one arm each, then threw them into a wall.
The second creature was a large black and white monkey, with a yellow helmet on his head, a few pieces of green leaf on his right arm, and a tan ball in his right hand. "Passimian." the creature said as he threw the ball at one of the bandits, knocking the bandit out and making the ball bounce off the bandit and he caught it.
The third creature was made out of six black ball with two legs, white eye's with blue outline on each of them, and wearing yellow armor with red horns, with the one in front having a longer horn, and each ball had two shields on the sides of their bodies, the shields where yellow circles with white circles on them, and a red spick in the middle of the shield. "Falinks." the creature said as they circled around a bandit and slammed into the bandit.
The last creature was in the shape of a blue octopus with a yellow mask and yellow spots on his tentacles, it stood on three tentacles and used four of his tentacles to jab into a few of the bandits, he also had on tentacle wrapped around his waist like a belt. "That kid and his whatever they are are really starting to bug me." Roddick said, as he got a little angry.
Meanwhile the Shepherds, Donnel, and Mudbray made it to the edge of the village. "This is my village, Your Lordshipness." Donnel said to Chrom. "Er… Right. Thank, Donny. Stay close, now." Chrom said to Donnel, as he and the rest of the Shepherds drew out their weapons. "Beg pardon, milord? You don't mean…? I can't fight, sir! I ain't never even stuck a pig before!" Donnel said to Chrom.
"Oh, sorry, I just assumed... I mean…" Chrom said to Donnel, while looking at his spear. "He thought that you were a fighter with that spear in your hands." Simon said to Donnel. "This is just to make me look tough." Donnel said to Simon. "So you can't fight?" Simon asked Donnel. "No." Donnel said to Simon. "Look, just stay here. You'll be fine." Chrom said to Donnel. "I wish I was strong as you sirs and madams! Kick that scum out single handed, I would!" Donnel said to Shepherd.
"Then you should fight and grow stronger." Chrom said to Donnel. "But I ain't-." Donnel said to Chrom, but was interrupted by Chrom. "No man is born a warrior, Donny, and farm work makes for fine training- A sickle's not far from a sword, after all. Bandits may be tougher than wheat, but the principale's the same." Chrom said to Donnel, making Donnel cry a little. "A-all right, milord. As you say, I'm no warrior. But these're my people. I gots to do what I can!" Donnel said to Chrom. "That's the spirit." Simon said to Donnel, as they all got into position.
"Everyone in Place?" Chrome asked everyone. "Ready with Excadrill." Simon said to Chrom with Excadrill next to him. "Ready for action with Roserade." Harper said to Chrom with Roserade next to her. "Ready to roll with Dubwool." Daniel said to Chrom, with Dubwool next to him. Everyone else and their Pokemon said they were ready. "R-ready!" Donnel said to Chrom, before gulping a little. "Mudbray?" Mudbary asked Donnel.
"I'm okay Mudbray. I sure hope I don't get in the way! Gosh, that would be just awful." Donnel said to Mudbray. "Just stay close and stay alert." Simon said to Donnel, as they started to attack.
"Dubwool use Giga Impact!" Daniel said to Dubwool, as he, Dubwool, Sully, Stahl, and Frederick attacked a group of bandits. "Dubwool." Dubwool said as he jumped up glow white and released large amounts of energy, and slammed into the middle of the bandits. This scattered them, and gave Daniel, Sully, Stahl, and Frederick an opening to attack and defeat the bandits.
"Roserade use Pin Missile." Harper said to Roserade, as she, Vaike, and Lon'qu charged at another group of bandits. "Roserade." Roserade said as she fired pins from her roses as she and the others ran towards the bandits. These pins made the bandits cover their heads with their arms and made it easy for Harper, Vaike, and Lon-qu to strike and finish them.
Then the bandits noticed the Shepherds and started to counter attack. "Absol use Psycho Cut." Robin said to Absol, as she was casting a Thunder spell, with Virion firing a few arrows, and with Miriel starting to cast a Fire spell. "Absol." Absol said as she fired a pink crescent energy blade from her horn, at the same time as Robin and Miriel fired their spell, pulse a couple of arrows, at a few of the bandits.
Meanwhile Donnel and Mudbray were looking all over the place not knowing what to do, or even noticing the bandit that was about to attack them. Lucky Simon and Excadrill pushed Donnel and Mudbary out of the way, but Simon was still cut by the bandit's blade a little bit. "Happiny use Disarming Voice." Lissa said to Happiny, as she ran to Simon to heal him. "Happiny." Happiny said to Lissa, as she fired a soundwave with red hearts in it at the bandit. This soundwave annoyed the bandit and made him freeze in place.
That's when Kellam came out of nowhere and slammed his shield into the bandit, sending the bandit flying. "Donnel, Mudbray what are you two do?" Simon asked Donnel, as Lissa healed him. "We weren't doing anything." Donnel said to Simon. "Exactly. This place isn't to be standing around and doing nothing. I don't expect you to be fighting, but at least now what's going on around you. Cause the next time I might not be around to save you from behind a pin cushion." Simon said to Donnel.
"Aren't you being a bit tough on him Simon?" Lissa asked Simon. "Maybe, but this is a battlefield, we can't babysit him." Simon said to Lissa. "So fall back Donnel, or get your head in the game." Simon said to Donnel. "Come on Excadrill help me with Drill Run." Simon said to Excadrill, as he got back to fighting the bandits. "Excadrill." Excadrill said as he jumped into the air and claimed his hands over his head, before starting to spin and slam into a bandit.
"Don't let Simno get to you. Just try your best." Lissa said to Donnel, before she went to help anyone else that needs healing. "Right, my best." Donnel said, before going to fight a bandit, with Mudbray.
Meanwhile Chrom was fighting a bandit, when another one came charging at him with a blade in his right hand. "Litleo use Fire Fang on that bandit." Chrom said to Litleo. "Litleo." Litleo said as his fangs became longer and on fire. Litleo then jumped behind the bandit charging at them, and then jumped and bit into the bandit's right shoulder. This caused the bandit to drop his weapon and try to get Litleo off him.
That's when Donnel and Mudbray came up and attacked the bandit Litleo had his fangs in. "Mudbray use Mud-Slap." Donnel said to Mudbray. "Mudbray." Mudbray said as he fired a splash of mud at the bandits from his mouth. The mud hit the bandit in the face, blinding him, and making it easy for Donnel to finish off the bandit. Chrom then finished off the bandit he was fighting. "Nice work Donny." Chrom said to Donnel, giving Donnel a pat on the back, before getting back to fighting the bandits. "Thanks milord." Donnel said to Chrom, as he got back to fighting.
Meanwhile Roddick was getting frustrated. Why, cause his men in the back we're losing to the Shepherds, and his men in the front couldn't get past Theo's Pokemon. All this made Roddick growl a little. "You coward get out here and face me like a man!" Roddick said to Theo. "Fine, you want to fight me. Then here I come." Theo said to Roddick, not letting Roddick see him. Roddick then heard a galloping sound
"Huh?" Roddick said, wondering what that sound was. Then Theo burst out of Barn, riding a gray horse with a black main and tail, Theo riding the horse with a spear in his right hand and some black reins in his left hand. Theo charged at Roddick, noticing that Roddick used his axe to block Theo's spears, but it didn't stop Theo from riding past Roddick. "That horse. I know that horse." Roddick said to Theo. "You should. This is the horse of the man you killed. And now me and Sliver here, are going to make you pay." Theo said to Roddick as he petted the horse.
"Well see about that. Men get him." Roddick said to everyone, as some of the bandits started to attack Theo. "Machamp clover me with Strength. Falinks use Smart Strike on a few bandits. Passimian grab the weapon of the bandits and use Fling on the one in the distance. And Grapploct use Close Combat on a couple other bandits" Theo said to his Pokemon.
"Machamp." Machamp said as he flexed his muscles, making them larger. Machamp then grabbed four bandits, each with one hand, and tossed them into a nearby ruined wall. "Falinks." Falinks said as their horns grew longer and turned silver. Falinks then slammed their horns into a few bandits, making them drop their weapons. "Passimian." Passimian said as he grabbed the weapons that bandits dropped and fling them at the bandits with bows in the back, with his ball in his tail. "Grapploct." Grapploct said as he ripped fired his tentacles at a of the bandits, hitting them in all over their bodies, causing great pain to the bandits
While the Pokemon battled the bandits, Theo was charging at Roddick, still on Silver's back. Roddick could only block as Theo made sure to stay out of range of Roddick's axe. This made him mad, forgetting about the Shepherd that were closing in on him.
And they were closing in fast. The Shepherd easily cut through most of the bandits, and made it to Theo, who was still battling Theo. "Is that Theo?" Robin asked Simon. "Yeah that's him." Simon said to Robin. "And who are those Pokemon with him?" Robin asked Simon. Simon said nothing and pulled out his Rotom Phone.
Machamp.
The Superpower Pokemon.
Fighting.
It Quickly Swings Its Four Arms To Rock Its Opponents With Ceaseless Punches And Chops From All Angles.
Grapploct.
The Jujitsu Pokemon.
Fighting.
Searching For An Opponent To Test Its Skills Against, it Emerges Onto Land. Once The Battle Is Over, It Returns To The Sea.
Falinks.
The Formation Pokemon.
Fighting.
The Six Of Them Work Together As One Pokemon. Teamwork Is Also Their Battle Strategy, And They Constantly Change Their Formation As They Fight.
Passimian.
The Teamwork Pokemon.
Fighting.
Passimian Live In Groups Of About 20, With Each Member Performing An Assigned Role. Through Cooperation, The Group Survives.
"Come on we have to help him." Donnel said as he charged at Roddick. "Well he's getting braver." Simon said to Robin as he put his phone away, and went after Donnel with everyone else following Donnel.
Then when everyone reached Theo, Roddick noticed them. "Time them castle whelps learned what us wild-brn men can do!" Roddick said as he charged at Chrom, who was battling one of the last of Roddick's bandits, while Litleo was battling a separate bandit with Absol. "Forgetting something." Theo said to Roddick as he rode past Roddick and used his spear to leave a large scratch on Roddick's arm. "Why you." Roddick said to Theo, turning back to Theo. It was then that Donnel charged at Roddick.
Roddick noticed Donnel, and dodged Donnel's spear. Roddick tried to bring down his axe on Donnel, but Theo came up and locked his spear with Roddick's axe. "Machamp use Brick Break." Theo said to Machamp. "Machamp." Machamp said as his four hands glowed white, and he karate chopped Rodick's axe, shattering it. "Fine I'll fight you without my weapon." Roddick said as he charged at Donnel.
"Mudbray use Double Kick." Donnel said to Mudbray. "Mudbray." Mudbray said as he turned around and slammed his two back legs into Roddick's stomach. This caused Roddick to move back. "Machamp finished him with Reversal." Theo said to Machamp. "Machamp." Machamp said as he started to glow a fiery orange. Then the glow moved to his lower right hand, and he punched Roddick in the back, and forced him in the ground.
Roddick then tried to get up only to be met with Donnel and Theo's spear. The two spears picesed Roddick and kill him. "Gahaugh! Nngh… This ain't… where." Roddick said with his last breath.
Soon after that the last of the bandits were either finished off or ran away. In any case the battle was over, they won. "We did it! We're rid of them bandits for good and all!" Donnel said to Chrom. "A worthy first victory, Donny. You fought well." Chrom said to Donnel, placing a hand on his shoulder, before leaving to check on the others. "Yeah nice work Donnel. Why don't you go check on your mother." Theo said to Donnel, as he got off Silver, and slapped Donnel in the back, knocking Donnel to the ground. "Still got weak knees." Theo said to Donnel, as he returned his Pokemon to their Pokeballs.
"I think you just have too much force in your hands." Daniel said to Theo, as he, Simon, and Harper returned their Pokemon to their Pokeballs. Theo noticed them, as Donnel got up and walked to his mother with Mudbary. "Daniel, Simon, Harper." Theo said to them as he hugged them. "Good to see you too Theo. Now can you let us go?" Harper said to Theo. "Sure." Theo said as he let them go.
"So what are you three doing here?" Theo asked them. "I'm on a mission with the prince of this land, and I picked up these strays." Simon said to Theo, as he pointed to the others. "You didn't pick us up. We're ambassadors from the kingdom of Regna Ferox." Harper said to Simon. "And it was the leaders of Regna Ferox that made us join you as a token of unity. You had nothing to do with it." Daniel said to Simon.
"Wait!" Theo said to them, getting their attention. "So while you three have been living a life of luxury. I've been stuck on a farm?" Theo asked them. "I wouldn't call it "luxury". The Regna Ferox idea of fun and relaxation is fighting." Harper said to Theo. "Yeah, all we did when we were there was practice sword fighting." Daniel said to Theo. "And I spent days wondering around until I ran into Chrom, then I got roped into this." Simon said to Theo.
"Actually you were tricked into this." Chrom said to Simon, as he walked to the four of them with Litleo behind him. "Who's this?" Theo asked Simon. "Theo met Prince Chrom, leader of our team the Shepherds. And that Lieleo is his Pokemon partner" Simon said to Theo. "It's a pleasure to meet you Theo. I heard you defend the people of the town with bravery and honor." Chrom said to Theo as he held out a hand. "No problem sir. Just repaying these people for the kindness they showed me." Theo said to Chrom, as he shook Chrom's hand.
"Since your friends with Simon, Harper and Daniel. I would like to ask you to join the Shepherds." Chrom asked Theo. "I'm in." Theo said to Chrom. "That was fast." Chrom said to everyone. "You sure you want to join us. We have to fight a war you know?" Simon asked Theo. "Still in." Theo said to Simon. "Then when we get to the capital we'll get some armor for your horse." Chrom said to Theo.
"This isn't my horse." Theo said to everyone. "But you were riding it?" Harper asked Theo. "yeah, but Silver was Donnel's father's horse. After Donnel's father died, Silver became lazy. I gave him a motivational speech and got his fire back. After that Donnel trained me to ride him. Then when Roddrick showed up. Silver wanted vengeance and I knew with his help we could claim that vengeance. And we did." Theo said to everyone. "That's an interesting story." Harper said to Theo.
Then Robin walked to them. "Chrom we're all ready to go." Robin said to Chrom. "Thank you Robin." Chrom said to Robin. "So ready to leave Theo?" Chrom asked Theo. "Sure, but first let me give Silver back to Donnel." Theo said to Chrom, as he grabbed Silver reins and started to walk. "I would like to say goodbye to Donny as well." Chrom said as he followed Theo, with Litleo following Chrom.
Meanwhile Donnel found his mother. "Ma! Ma, it's me!" Donnel said to his mother as he ran to his mother with Mudbray. "Oh, Donny! Thank goodness you're safe! I was worried near to death, boy!" Donnel's mother said to Donnel, as she hugged him. "Thank you for keeping him safe Mudbray." Donnel's mother said to Mudbray, as she broke the hug and gave Mudbray some pets on the head. "Mudbray." Mudbray said enjoying the pets.
"Yes, the place might be trashed, but we're all okay." A voice said to Donnel's mother. Donnel, his mother, and Mudbray turned to see Chrom, Theo, Litleo, and Silver near them. "I can't thank you enough for savin' my son and our village, milord." Donnel's mother said to Chrom, as she kneed to Chrom. She then noticed Donnel not kneeing "Donny! Where are your manners?! Take a knee and thank His Lordliness!" Donnel's mother said to Donnel. Donnel then took a knee.
"Er, I can't begin to repay all what you done for us, sir! Th-thank you!" Donnel said to Chrom. "You led the charge, Donny. ANd you and Theo were the ones who won the day. We just picked off the stragglers. Hone your potential and use it to keep this village safe." Chrom said to Donnel. "Yeah, work hard and protect this place. I'm leaving with Chrom and the other. I just wanted to give you Silver before we go." Theo said to Donnel and Donnel's mother, as he gave Donnel's mother Silver's reins. Then Theo, Chrom, and Litleo started to leave.
"W-wait! Please!" Donnel said to them, making them stop. "Something wrong?" Chrom asked Donnel, as the three of them turned around. "I has a request, Sir. If it please Your Graceliness. Take me and Mudbray with you, Milord! Lemme be a Shepherd like you! I'm god with livestock, I am! Please, sir!" Donnel asked Chrom.
"Hush now, you fool boy!" Donnel's mother yelled at Donnel. "I want to hone my… whatever he said. I want to keep this place safe! I never thought I was good for nothin' more than shovelin' dirt… But Milord showed me there's more I can do. More I needs to be doing!" Donnel said to his mother. "You needs be knowin' your place, boy! A farmhand's no fit for a royal-" Donnel's mother said to Donnel, but was interrupted by Chrom.
"Actually, we'd be thrilled to have him. Him and Mudbray. The Shepherds need every good man and Good Pokemon we can find, and your son and his partner Mudbray fought bravely." Chrom said to Donnel's mother. "Y-you're very kind to say as much, Your Lordshipness, but…" Donnel's mother said to Chrom, but stopped when she sighed.
"Well, you're a man grown now, Donny. I s'pose you can make up your own mind." Donnel's mother said to Donnel. "Aw, Ma…" Donnel said to his mother. "You just come home safe, love. I'll see that village is still standin' when you return a hero." Donnel's mother said to Donnel. "And I'll make sure he does." Theo said to Donnel's mother. "Thank you Theo. here." Donnel's mother said to Theo, as she gave him Silver's reins.
"You're giving me Silver?" Theo asked Donnel's mother. "Silver hasn't been this live in a long while, and I know with Silver you can keep Donny safe." Donnel's mother said to Theo. "I'll make sure to keep both of them safe." Theo said to Donnel's mother as she took Silver's reins. "Well?! Off with you two, then! Glory's waitin', boys!" Donnel's mother said to Donnel and Theo.
"You know it." Theo said to Donnel's mother. "I ain't fightin' for glory, ma. I'm fightin' for you! But if I do find some glory, I'll be sure to bring it home for you!" Donnel said to his mother. "ALL RIGHT EVERYONE LET'S GET A MOVE ON!" Simon yelled to everyone. "Time to go, Donnel and Theo." Chrom said to Theo and Donnel.
Then everyone started to leave, with the new members, Donnel, Theo, Mudbray, Machamp, Falinks, Passimian, Grapploct, and the horse Silver. "Just come home Alive, Donny." Donnel's mother said to herself as she watched them leave.
As they left the four trainers walked together, and while they and everyone else didn't notice it, the four Dynamax Bands on Simon, Harper, Daniel, and Theo's wrist started to glow violet-red and so did one pokeball on each of the Trainers.
