Luffy finishes his beer and slams it on the table with finality. He detangles himself from the many minks surrounding him and their garchus, bids everyone good night and on his way out of the cozy pineapple house his fingers brush against his first mate's broad shoulder.

Zoro continues to sip his bottle of rum and Carrot blinks curiously after Luffy's retreating back, but the festivities go on.

It is a short and welcome break from their worrying thoughts, although their nervousness is still visible in the way everyone huddles so close together, enjoying each other's company before the morning comes and Luffy's group goes to retrieve their missing cook from the clutches of an emperor.

Zoro finishes his drink and stands up – fully ignoring Nami's eyebrow wiggle and Robin's secretive smile, Usopp's sudden interest in his shoelaces and Law's barely-there look of surprise – and heads out the door after his captain.

The night is warm and the lanterns light the treehouses with a flickering glow, the laughter from the party blending with the rustling of the leaves as he crosses the little rope bridge to the house the minks have kindly lent their guests.

The door closes behind him with a soft thud as lean arms wrap around his neck and shoulders.

They don't say be careful or don't die or make sure to come back to me. In fact, wrapped in warm sheets, they don't say much at all that night.

The morning is bright and farewells are exchanged as Luffy stands on the edge of the island, ready to jump off. To the crowd he says "Take care of everyone, Zoro!" and to Zoro himself he says, eyes warm and lips in a confident grin, I'll see you in Wano.

And Zoro says,

You bet.
