Fear And Suffering
That's right ladies and gentlemen! We are now at the last chapter of this spin off! This scene will be set on the plane ride back to Rio! They are almost back home at this time, and we will see Tomada having a nightmare about the things he had read in the note that Beltran gave to his wife! We will also witness a conversation between Elenor and Helena about what went wrong in the past year or so, and…when they finally land back in Rio…they will finally return to normal! So without further ado…here is the final chapter!
It was late in the evening on this very brisk and warm evening! The plane was gliding through the air at a calm and peaceful way. Carrying the passengers safely across the night sky.
As for our friends that were returning home from Madrid…they were having…mixed, feelings. When I say mixed feelings, I mean they all had their own reasons to feel upset about what happened back in Madrid.
Helena lost her father, as well as her husband! So being with Raul, was the only thing that was keeping her going.
Elenor left her home in Madrid to help out her friends in Rio, DVD's though she is still a tiny bit jealous of her mentor's new girlfriend.
Tomada was having trouble concentrating on his sleep, but for reasons that the others haven't really got a clue about.
As for the others though, they are pretty much just along for the ride back home.
For one thing, Cabot kept tossing and turning in his sleep, because he hated sleeping on the cold metal floor of the place. Jameson got annoyed every now and then and decided to slap him for mucking about too much.
Jameson and Kelly just hugged each other for warmth as they tried to be as comfortable as possible. Which was kind of weird for them, as they are constantly feeling the urge to just shiver from the cold air.
Elenor and Helena were awake at this time, but they just sat quietly in the far corner of the plane, as they didn't really know what to say to each other.
Raul was in a peaceful slumber, because he didn't mind the cold metal surface. But he did rest his head on a fluffy suitcase.
As for Sorrel, she continued to nuzzle her head on Tomada's chest feathers, which made her feel so warm and comfy.
As for the falcon himself…he kept twitching in his sleep! But it wasn't because he was uncomfortable…it was because he was having a horrible nightmare.
Tomada's Nightmare…
Tomada woke up in a very dark room…with the windows all boarded up…surrounded by cages and crates. It looked like an old storage room of some kind.
"Mmmmm…ughhh…H-He-Hello? Is…Is there anybody there?" The falcon groaned in pain, as he stood up onto his talons.
"Help me! HELP ME!" Tomada heard a scream in the distance in front of him…and it made his heart jump out of his chest! It was Sorrel's scream in the distance.
"SORREL! HANG ON MY DARLING! I'M COMING!" Tomada screamed in a panic, as he flapped his wings and flew through the doors that lead to the outside of the room.
But as soon as he got outside…the whole area to him changed! "What the…What the hell is happening here?" He thought to himself as he checked his surroundings.
He was now standing in the middle of the samba club? But what was even more terrifying…was that there were birds scattered all around him. But they were all laying motionless on the floor…he was surrounded by dead bodies everywhere.
"Oh…my…samba! What the hell happened here?" The falcon thought to himself, as he slowly leaned over, and picked up one of the birds in his wings! But what was weird about this bird in particular startled him. "It's…It's…ME? But…But I'm not dead?!"
"Tomada…H-H-Help meeeee!" A weakened voice was heard from behind him, and he slowly turned around…only to see that there was nobody standing there. "Sorrel? I can't see you? Where…Where are you honey?"
Tomada started trembling in fear…because once he turned back to the bird he was holding…it was no longer himself…it was indeed Sorrel!
"Oh my god! Baby! What happened to you? Who did this to you?" The falcon cried, as he placed her wing on his cheek, and nuzzled his face into her wing.
"L-L-Look behind you…" The blue spix's female weakly whispered, as she pointed with her wing towards a doorway…which lead to the outside.
"Stay here okay? I'm gonna go and check it out!" Tomada whispered to Sorrel and have her a kiss on the beak.
Tomada got back up onto his large talons…and he slowly but surely made his way outside.
Once he pushed the doors to the samba club open…the scenery had changed one last time! "What…how…how is this happening?"
This time…they were in the jungle! But not just any part of the jungle…it was just outside of his home.
"What is happening to me?" The falcon groaned as he rubbed his sore head in pain.
He looked over his shoulder very briefly…and noticed that the club had completely vanished from sight!
"No…NO! Wake up! WAKE UP!" Tomada kept bashing his head, and tried blinking his eyes to try and get out of this weird nightmare.
But soon…a familiar voice called out to him…as he continued to groan. But it wasn't quite the voice that he was expecting.
"YOU…KILLED HER!"
Tomada slowly turned around again…to see a very familiar bird standing in front of him. With a knife in one wing…and a head in the other. Which revealed to be Tomada's head. But it looked all bruised and beaten.
"What? Who? I killed who?" Tomada asked in fear as he gazed at the head in his wing. "How is that…How is that me?"
"You know what you did! Even this prick couldn't stop me!" The bird growled as he threw Tomada's head towards the real Tomada. And it rolled around and touched him on his talons. "You've got a lot of nerve showing your face here! You are gonna pay for what you did!"
"Seriously…I don't know what you're talking about?!"
"ENOUGH LIES! I SAW YOU AT THE BEACH PAD! YOU SLIT HER THROAT WHILE SHE WAS BEGGING FOR YOU NOT TO KILL HER!" The bird screamed in rage as he started stomping his foot on the floor in rage.
"Look…I think you must have me confused with someone else! I wouldn't do this!" The falcon tried to explain himself as he started panting and sweating. "Please…I don't know anything you are accusing me of!"
"You will…soon enough!" The bird once again growled in rage, and threw the knife towards the falcon, and it hit him directly on his chest.
"AHHHHHHHH! NO! YOU ARE MISTAKEN! I DIDN'T KILL ANYBODY!" Tomada tried to plead for his life…but he knew it was no use. "PLEASE! I'M ON YOUR SIDE HERE!"
"Tell Diante…I said…HELLO!" The bird screeched one final time, and lunged himself towards the wounded falcon. "Goodbye…Tomada!"
Nightmare Over…
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! MICHAEL! NO! I DIDN'T KILL HER!" Tomada screamed in a panic as he shot himself awake. "I DID NOT KILL HER! I DID NOT KILL HER!" He kept chanting over and over again.
Everyone in the cargo hold also shot awake when they heard his screams, and they all surrounded him to make sure that he was okay.
"NO! I…Didn't…Michael…No! NO!" Tomada kept shouting random words out loud, while tears were streaming down his cheeks.
"Tomada honey? What's wrong? What happened?" Sorrel asked him softly, as she placed both wings on his cheeks, and wiped away his tears. "It was just a nightmare! What happened?"
Tomada blinked his eyes a couple of times, and slowly looked from left to right, to notice that everyone was staring at him in concern.
"It…It was an awful nightmare…but…but it felt so real?" The falcon replied in shock, and placed a wing on his rapidly beating heart. "Okay…Erm…I shouldn't have read that note!"
"Tomada…what the fuck was in that note?" Jameson asked as he sat besides him. "Don't lie to us this time! Tell us the truth!"
"Ahhhhh…fine!" The falcon sighed in defeat and clicked his wingtips towards Elenor, who passed him the note. And he read it aloud. "To my dear son! One day I will depart from this world…and it may not be the way that you expect! But this isn't the end of this! In São Paulo there is a female by the name of Lucia! She is working for the bird who will eventually kill me! Once I leave this world…you must take her down! Don't worry…I have contacts who will show you what needs to be done! Remember these words…We work in the dark to serve the light, we are assassins! Love…Your father!"
Once Tomada finished reading the note, he placed it on the floor, and put his face into his wings.
"Oh my god…it's almost as if…his dad knew that he would die, and he was basically helping his son to avenge his death? That's incredible!" Helena remarked as she placed a wing on her heart.
"What? But…but I thought she's on our side now? Clearly she didn't play us a second time?" Cabot asked in shock, as he took the note from the floor. "Here it is in black and white! Lucia is still working for the enemy! How could she do this to us? To Michael!"
"Well…wouldn't be the first time that we were betrayed!" Kelly pointed out the obvious and placed a wing on her brothers shoulder. "The question is what do we do now? We can't just kill her without talking to Michael about this?"
"SHIT! How could we be so blind?! Damnit!" Tomada cursed as he punched a hole through a suitcase next to him. "Why was I having a nightmare about Michael killing me? Do you think it's a sign that I have to kill Lucia?"
"Absolutely not! Look…if…and IF…what is in this note is the truth…then I say we wait until Lucia cracks!" Elenor spoke up while thinking of a plan. "As soon as we get to Rio, take me to RDJ! I will give him the note and the two of us can plan out how we are going to do each other!"
"What?" Tomada asked curiously with a strange look on his beak.
"THINGS! Do things!" The scarlet male replied a little embarrassed and walked back over to the other side of the plane, causing Helena to follow her in curiosity.
"That was weird?" Kelly remarked, as she sat back down on the floor of the plane. "How far away are we now?"
"An hour at most! I'd say we will be back in Rio in at least under fifty minutes!" Jameson replied to his girlfriend and sat down besides her.
Tomada continued to sit there in shock, but what tormented him the most…was the fact that Lucia still couldn't be trusted? But why?
"Honey? Snap out of it! Look…we are gonna deal with this once we get back home to Rio!" Sorrow tried to calm her husband down…but to no avail.
"What if Leandro is right? What if Lucia is the enemy still?" The falcon asked seriously, as he was still a little fuzzy from the nightmare.
"Then we will deal with it! Look, if anyone is going to stop Lucia, it will have to be RDJ! Because as far as we are concerned Lucia thinks that he is done with his killings! But we have to warn Michael first!"
"Okay…how about you go with Elenor and Kelly to warn RDJ about the note, then I will go with Cabot and Jameson to warn Michael! I think it would be better coming from me, because if he flips out then I could calm him down!"
"That sounds like a plan! Now…let's just sit here for a while and rest!" Sorrel proposed, as the couple sat down together, and sat there in silence as they enjoyed the rest of the journey.
On the other side of the plane, Helena was currently having a conversation with Elenor about her past, and how she met Sergio! Where Elenor told her about what had happened to her in the last few years! And how she is…a little jealous of RDJ's new girlfriend.
"And that's how we fell in love! I will never forget the day that I met my Sergio! But I can't say that I'm not excited for my new journey with Raul!" Helena slowly turned her head and smiled at Raul, who slowly nodded off back to sleep. "Boy…he is so adorable the way he's slee…is he sucking his wingtip?"
Both ladies gazed at the white hawk weirdly, as they watched him suck on his wingtip like a toddler.
"So sexy…" Elenor sarcastically whispered and giggled with her new friend and playfully shoved her.
"Hehe yeah…so…are you currently…involved with anyone?" The female dove asked the scarlet macaw female, who shook her head from side to side.
"Nope! Not really to be honest with you! I mean…I wanted to originally be with RDJ…"
"Yeah but…was it because of the muscles? Or was it him in general? Because you can't just be with someone for their looks you know?"
"It's not just that! He also saved my life in a prison camp in Viana! If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be a top assassin running my own guild in Spain! Otherwise I'd still be in that bloody workshop in that old church!"
"Okay okay I get the idea! So…why didn't you ever…get back in the game?"
"I'm not sure? Maybe it was because I was hoping to see him again some day! But now that I hear she's with some…girl named Liam?"
"Lila…" Helena corrected her, but she knew exactly what Elenor was doing.
"Lee-Lee, Lila, La-La…"
"PO!" Cabot shouted out to the two girls as a joke, and this earned him a slap from Jameson. "What? I thought she was naming Telly Tubbies?"
"I'm sorry…how old are you?" Jameson joked as he evilly smirked at him.
"I don't know? Martin told me what they were when he used to watch it on TV as a chick!"
Both girls rolled their eyes in annoyance at their conversation and continued to talk to each other.
"So…be honest with me Helena…is he happy?" The scarlet female asked her seriously with a straight face.
"Is who happy?" She replied a little unsure of what she was asking.
"Is RDJ happy with…Lila?" She asked a second time with the same serious expression.
"Yes…he is very happy!"
"Does he actually smile?"
"Yes he does! Lila has made a positive impact on his life! I'm telling you, since the day I met him! He started off as this…emotionless…quiet guy? To a…funny…happy…and smiley bird! I mean, I didn't get to see him after the wedding ceremony…"
"HE GOT MARRIED?!" Elenor widened her eyes in pure shock. But Helena rephrased her words.
"No! No! Our friends got married, and he was there for the ceremony! But long story short I didn't get to see him! But Raul told me how happy he is now! I just think…Lila is the key to his happiness!" Helena finished explaining with a bright smile on her beak.
"Well…there you go! I'm glad he's happy! It's just…It's a shame that I can't be with him!"
"Believe me…I think a LOT of women are afraid of that!"
"Does he at least still work out?"
"Yeah probably? Why do you ask?"
"No reason…Maybe I might just watch him work out!" She whispered mischievously, while blushing at the same time.
"Horny bitch!" Kelly whispered to herself in a silent tone, while listening into the conversation.
Rrrrrrrrooooomaaaa…
"What the hell was that?" Elenor asked curiously, while tilting her head to the side.
"Ladies and gentlemen! We have now landed back in Rio!" Tomada announced to his friends as he jumped back up onto his talons, and extended his wing to pull Sorrel up.
"Wow! That journey was fast! How long do we have to wait until the cargo door opens?" Cabot asked as they all started making their way towards the exit.
"Soon buddy! Soon! Now…do you remember the plan honey?" The falcon asked his wife, who nodded in agreement when asking her.
"Yes! Elenor, myself and Kelly will go to find RDJ to tell him about the note! Then you, Cabot and Jameson will go to tell Michael about what we found out!"
As they all heard the noises of humans talking outside, they knew that they had to exit the plane soon. But as they were about to prepare for take off, Helena was a bit confused that herself and Raul weren't involved in this plan.
"Hey? What about us? We want to help out too?"
"Oh…" Tomada paused for a brief second, and looked at his friends with an unsure gaze, before turning back around to face her. "I just thought that maybe after what happened today, you might want to find somewhere to stay for tonight with Raul? You know? Spend some alone time together with him?"
"Oh…okay? That actually sounds like a great idea! Doesn't it Raul?" The female dove asked her new boyfriend, while placing a wing on his back.
"That does sound great! I get to be with you tonight!" Raúl responded happily, and kissed her on the cheek.
"Great! So that's the plan! Alright…let's get this done!" Elenor beamed with determination and positivity. As the door to the plane flew wide open, and our friends recently departed the plane to follow up on their little…situation!
Meanwhile…In Marmoset Territory…
In a tree hollow in a dark part of the jungle, Thomas was currently pacing up and down on the spot. As he had no idea on what to do.
"Okay…so…Raul and his friends probably won't be back for a few more days at least? Blu, Jewel and the two owls will be gone for the week! And the others could be due to return any day now! But…what about Felix?" The scarlet male whispered to himself as he continued to think.
Soon, he heard a knock on the bark of the tree, and it did take him out of his thoughts for a slight moment.
"Erm…Thomas? Do you have a minute?" A male voice entered the hollow entrance, that revealed to be Mauro the king of the marmosets. "It's kind of important?"
"What is it Mauro? Have the prisoners tried to escape again? Because I did ask André to guard them?" Thomas replied a little annoyed by the way he just cut him out of his own thoughts.
"Actually…It's about Felix sir! One of his contacts dropped by to tell you that he is on his way to Rio in the next forty eight hours! But…" Mauro paused for a moment, as he was a little afraid to say the next sentence.
"What's wrong? Did he miss a flight or something?"
"Actually…it's more to do with…a certain white hawk!"
"What…Oh…that white hawk? What did he say?"
"He says that she is still on our si…" Mauro got cut off mid sentence when they heard the sound of flapping wings just outside of the hollow entrance.
As the two of them turned around…there she was…Lucia herself.
Thomas rubbed his chin sinisterly for a moment, and Lucia met his gaze with her own expression that shows she's ready to strike.
"So…you have decided to stay with our cause?" The scarlet macaw asked rhetorically, as the female hawk nodded her head. "What makes you think that I can trust you?"
The female white hawk took a few steps towards him, and gently placed a wing on his shoulder, and started chuckling evilly.
"Because I know how to take him down…how to restore things to our glory!" Lucia softly spoke as she narrowed her eyes again.
"How?" Mauro added to he conversation, as he crossed his arms and stomped his foot on the floor.
"Because…I know RDJ's greatest weakness!"
"What? What is it?" Thomas asked again, with a little bit of impatience.
"He's now in a relationship with Lila…So that gives me…the perfect idea!"
Well now, isn't this a bit of a bombshell? Lucia is STILL on the side of the thugs! Mauro and his marmosets are also on their side now…and the enemy are rebuilding and recruiting! Elenor the scarlet macaw female has now joined our Rio friends in the fight against Thomas and his thugs! But they don't even know that he's the enemy yet! I wonder how they are going to react when they find out that he killed Malcom? Anyway, that unfortunately is the last chapter of Searching For Fate! I know it wasn't as long as The Origins Of RDJ, but I did say the spin offs won't be as long as the main stories! So that brings us to my final spin off before the sequel to 'The Rise Of The Samba Club'! In this last one it will be about Blu, Jewel, Alex and Siax, as they travel to Egypt to visit Siax's family! But…a certain bird we know has already gone to Cairo once before…so what are they going to expect? I guess you will have to find out! See you all soon for the final spin off!
