The next morning I got up early. I could hardly sleep. I kept replaying the events from the day before in my head.

Hinata's smile, gentle touch, his eyes.

I could feel my heart begin to flutter again so I shook my head to refocus. I walked to Hitoka's place and she kept her word to make me over.

I usually kept my hair braided due to my habits of needing it out of my face due to competitions. So, Hitoka had my hair down and gave me light curls and makeup. The outfit she chose was completely opposite of what Hinata normally saw me in. (Either school uniform or Team track suit)

It was a beige long sleeve tunic dress top worn with dark panty hose tights and black chunky boots with a small pump of heel. She also let me borrow a few small necklaces to complete the ensemble.

I stared into the mirror. Granted it wasn't my usual athletic gear.. it was still so much better than I thought. I expected frilly lace and pink.

I think Hitoka could see my amazement:

"I didn't take you as a pretty in pink, romantic so.. I went with something a little more your style," she said as she straightened my outfit to be just right.

I hugged her and thanked her so much as and put my coat back on.

"You text me as soon as your home with details!!" She called after me.

I smiled and nodded.

When I finally made it to the shopping district, Hinata was already there waiting for me. He was also wearing different clothes from his usual attire.

He was wearing a black and gray hoodie under a dark navy blue denim jacket, khaki cargo pants, and red and white sneakers (similar to his volleyball sneakers).

When we both caught sight of each other, Hinata flashed me a grin and hurried over to greet me.

"Wow.." he beamed, "You look great."

"Heh, not so bad yourself Shoyo," I winked.

He smirked and grasped my hand, "Let's go!"

We both jogged off into the crowd.

~~~
The day consisted of many different visits and activities. Hinata explained he didn't really know what a date consisted of so we both decided to just explore.
First, we stopped at a small cafe to grab some breakfast. Hinata practically ordered an entire meal while I just stuck to a small coffee and muffin. We laughed and talked about so many of our favorite things like TV shows, music, and other interests.
After that, we went to an arcade. This is where I realized Hinata's competitive nature. The basketball hoops game led to a long rally of high scores that neither of us would let up on. Eventually we had to hop off to give others a turn. Then came the classic gun shooting game, I was a horrible shot so Hinata ever so valiantly vowed to 'protect me from the evildoers'. The intensity of his gameplay was so genuine that after the round ended I kissed him on the cheek to thank him.
That caused him to blush profusely and I had to walk him out of the arcade just to get him to regain consciousness.
Next, we walked through a garden park. It was a little chilly so most people had stayed near the shops. We were all alone.
While we walked, I felt Hinata's arm slide over my shoulders. I looked over to see him gazing at the tree line. I smiled and leaned into his grasp. I felt him hold me closer.
This was perfect. —
But something was still bothering me. As we sat at a nearby bench, I couldn't hold in the question any longer.
"Hinata?"
"Yeah?"
"I am really having a great time."
He moved closer to me and took hold of my hand.
"I'm so glad you are. Not gonna lie. I was so nervous this morning," he chuckled, "I'm not the best at planning things."
Here it comes—
"Hinata, do you mind if I ask you something?"
"Anything."
"Why did you get so angry when Oikawa was talking to me?"
I felt him flinch.
Then, I saw that same intense look etch its way across his face.
"Oh.. to be honest, I wasn't 100% sure in the moment," he started, "One minute I was talking with one of my friends from Aoba Johsai, and I saw you talking."
I felt his hand tighten slightly around mine.
"Initially, I thought he was just introducing himself but when I saw him touching you.. it felt like this huge bombshell went off inside me and my only focus was to get between you."
I saw his gaze shift to the ground.
Great, I just ruined the day.
Then, he shifted forward and I felt his lips crash against mine. At first, I was shocked at the sudden contact, but, I felt Hinata's hands gently cup my face and deepen the kiss.
I closed my eyes and began to enjoy the sensation. The warm, sweet taste of his lips. The rough calluses of his hands stroking my cheeks. The cool afternoon air brushing between us, giving me chills.
Amidst our kiss, I didn't even hear my phone ring. All I heard was my heart pounding in my ears.
Once we broke, Hinata had a look on his face like he had just scored a major play.
Well, Point : Shoyo Hinata.
~~ Later that afternoon ~~
Hinata walked me home after we had finished our lunch together. As we walked up to the doorway, since our kiss, we hadn't untwined our hands.
It was magnetic. We couldn't stand the moments when we couldn't feel the others grasp. Almost if it was what was keeping our feet on the ground.
Hinata gently kissed my forehead, "I'll see you at practice tomorrow morning."
"Can't wait," I blushed.
He began to lean in for another kiss. I closed my eyes in preparation.
That's when the door opened and I heard someone step between us.
"Hinata if you want to keep those legs you're so damn proud of, you'll get your lips off my cheek..." a voice growled.
"K-Kageyama?" Hinata sputterered.
I clapped my hands over my mouth and tried my best not to burst into laughter.
Then, a cloud of dust dashed by me followed by a trailing cyclone.
"He's gonna so get it," I laughed to myself.
