AN: Thanks so much to everyone that left a review! Rest assured your questions will be answered. I will do so as a footnote to the chapters, instead of before they begin, because I feel that breaks the story cohesion. I left one here, since the last chapter was the end of an arc, and I felt comfortable that a little bit of broken pacing here wouldn't spoil that.

Now, on to the story! :D

Vlad King slammed his hand on the table.

"We cannot be considering this!" He declared. "Not only is it ludicrous to allow a student into the Hero Course this late in the semester, it would be irresponsible!"

"How do you figure that?" Power Loader rebuffed hotly. "I've had Midoriya in my classroom for half a year and he's always been a model student!"

"Well!" Vlad huffed. "Your model student nearly killed both that Bakugou boy, and Enji's son!"

"Have you never lost yourself in the heat of battle?" Cementos defused. "We must remember that we speak of a child. Not a pro, and not a villain."

"Well I won't have him!" Vlad asserted.

"You're being petty!" Power Loader warned.

"Petty!" Vlad roared. "You claim I am acting petty when your student nearly killed two students to win the sports festival. Snipe, pull up the footage."

"Vlad, maybe-" Snipe started only to be cut off.

"Pull up the damn footage!" Vlad slammed his fist on to the table again.

Snipe shook his head quietly, but pulled up the footage. The footage of Izuku fighting Sero played without comment, and the footage of Izuku as Bloxx earned only mumbled confusion at the powerset. Next came the Semi Finals, the footage showed Way Big flicking Shoto into the Arena wall.

"You can clearly see he is holding back!" Power Loader pointed out. "Even after Todoroki attacked him with shards of ice directly in his eye!"

The footage of Heatblast brutally beating Bakugou played next.

"I rest my case." Vlad smirked.

"I don't believe it's as cut and dry as that." Cementos stated, stroking his chin. "There seemed to be a lot of tension between these two. Even more so than between Bakugou and Iida."

"I can confirm Cementos' observation." Midnight declared. "Midoriya seemed terrified before the match began, it was only after he transformed into the fire monster that his demeanour changed. Bakugou, on the other hand, was confrontational from the beginning."

"I do not want that child in my class!" Vlad reasserted.

"It doesn't matter." As always, the room grew eerily quiet when Shota Aizawa spoke. "Because Midoriya will be joining my class along with Itsuka Kendo."

"That is preposterous!" Vlad bellowed. "What about Shiozaki?"

"I have two seats free in 1-A, Vlad." Aizawa reasoned. "You blatantly refuse to let Midoriya join 1-B, and so this is the solution we are presented with."

"Why am I the only person around this table with any sense?" Vlad cried out.

"I agree with Vlad." Toshinori Yagi intoned. Everyone around the table, Vlad included, started with surprise. "This kid doesn't pass the entrance exam because he fails completely at the practical test and now he showcases six different transformation quirks? Something here is… out of place."

Aizawa narrowed his eyes.

"He could be a threat to the students' safety." Thirteen declared. "Perhaps his change of attitude is linked to his transformations? Regardless, he has too much power to be so… cruel."

"So, your solution is to harden him against us?" Midnight purred. "If we make a slip up here we could be erecting a powerful adversary."

"We need to keep an eye on him." Snipe agreed.

"You can't be serious!" Vlad exclaimed. "He needs to be expelled! Not enabled!"

"Vlad, you're being drastic." Ectoplasm thrummed. "I say we put this to a vote. Principal Nezu?"

"I will officiate." Nezu allowed. "All for? All against? Six abstain. Izuku Midoriya will join class 1-A. Vlad, will Kendo, or Shiozaki be staying with you?"

"Shiozaki." Vlad growled. "I hope you know what you're doing, Aizawa. For all our sakes."

From across the room, Aizawa and Toshinori made eye contact. The gaunt, blonde man looked defeated, his eyes shining with doubt.

After the others filed out, All Might, Nezu and Aizawa remained.

"I've never seen you so cold towards a child's dreams, Toshi." Aizawa spoke softly. "The cold of the world is finally driving you cynical."

"Shota." Nezu warned. "You have to take into consideration that Something more might be at play here. First the League of Villains attack your class at the USJ and now this student, seemingly out of nowhere develops six, maybe even more, incredibly distinct and powerful quirks? If nothing else, that is suspicious."

"You think this is His doing, don't you?" Aizawa accused.

"How many people do you know of with the ability to bestow multiple quirks on someone?" All Might snapped.

"Two." Aizawa admitted. "And now possibly a third."

"Aren't you supposed to be cynical?" All Might laughed coldly.

"That is enough." Nezu declared. "Whether this is or isn't a plot of His, Izuku Midoriya is a promising student with stellar grades and a powerful quirk. He could be nurtured into a valuable hero."

"With the right guidance." Aizawa smiled slightly.

"So be it." Toshinori glared. "Just take better care of him than you did the students we lost in the USJ attack."

"Izuku…" His mother's voice, timid as usual sounded softly from behind his door. Three soft knocks followed. The door handle turned. "May I come in?"

Upgrade stopped wiggling his fingers for a moment, trying to figure out the powers of his new form, and went into a flat-out panic. He leapt over his bed, turning into a liquid sludge as he went. In a flash of light, he turned back to Izuku, scrambling into a position that could conceivably be working out.

"Oh!" Inko called. Seeing Izuku do a sit-up.

"What do you need, mom?" Izuku asked, wiping sweat from his brow that wasn't there.

"I just…" Inko's eyes slowly welled with tears. "I want you to know I watched the sports festival, and I wanted to tell you… I'm beyond proud of you."

Izuku felt his own eyes begin to sting, moving so he could face his mother.

"You took your…" Inko struggled to say the words her mind was conjuring. "Condition… and you harnessed it to make your dream come true. You never let it get you down."

"Thanks, mom." Izuku muttered as his throat tightened.

"And… I wanted to let you know…" Tears flowed freely from her eyes. "...that I was wrong. I was wrong about you, Izuku."

Izuku couldn't hold it back any longer. Tears spilled from his eyes, running over his cheeks and dripping onto his bedroom floor.

"You… You can be a hero."

Izuku rushed forward and held his mother close as they both let all the built up emotion of years of fighting spill out, taking comfort in the other's presence.

"Fact is I'm worried." Mitsuki said softly.

"He's your son." Masaru reassured.

"I know that, you idiot." Mitsuki groused. "He's pushing himself too hard. He's at the gym every day from before the sun rises to well after you pass out."

"Like I said." Masaru laughed quietly. "Your son."

"He's never lost a fight like that." Mitsuki said quietly. "He's gonna work himself to death until he feels like he can take Izuku in a fight."

"Where that boy has been hiding power like that…" Masaru shook his head. "Beats me."

"Speaking of beating…" Mitsuki purred, flipping over so she straddled his waist. "Round four?"

"You know this isn't a competition, right?" Masaru grumbled.

"Take your pants off, dear."

"-and the worst part!" Enji Todoroki roared. "The worst part is he made it look easy! Do you understand what you've done, Shoto?"

Shoto was barely listening, his eyes transfixed on his left hand, his mind whirring.

"Are you even listening to me?" Endeavour grumbled. "That worthless nobody from general studies beat you on live television in front of the entire world. Do you even realise how that reflects on me? I have half a mind not to invite you to intern at my agency!"

At this point, Shoto scoffed.

"As if you'd let me intern anywhere else." He sneered.

"You better watch your tone, Shoto." Endeavour growled; his voice low. Fire played around his head as his temper… heated.

"Or what, father?" Shoto sighed. "You'll yell at me some more? Beat me maybe?"

"I thought you would be happy with this outcome, Tomura Shigaraki." Kurogiri slowly wiped a dirty glass with a cloth as he spoke.

"Oh yeah?" Shigaraki hissed. "And why is that?"

"Because of Katsuki Bakugou's loss against Izuku Midoriya." Kurogiri explained. "Is it not true you detest the boy for taking your left arm?"

"Yeah… well…" Shigaraki waved his remaining arm, as if to dissipate the notion like smoke. "As much fun as it was seeing that brat humiliated… something else from the sports festival drew my attention more."

He held up a picture of Izuku striking a heroic pose, similar to All Might's, after winning the footrace.

"The winner of the sports festival." Kurogiri noted. "He is indeed powerful."

"That's not the point." Shigaraki spat. "Look at him in this picture. All heroic and so damn proud of himself. And then here…"

Shigaraki disintegrated the first picture to reveal a second, this one of Heatblast preparing to punch the brutalised Bakugou.

"Does that seem like a Hero to you?" He pondered.

"You think he might be swayed to our cause?" Kurogiri asked sceptically.

"Yes… there is that…" Shigaraki admitted before spreading all the pictures he had of Izuku over the bar. Stinkfly smiling and taunting, Four-Arms frowning as he beat Sero, Bloxx looking confused and lastly a frowning Way Big. "Tell me something, Kurogiri…"

Kurogiri stopped wiping his glass to focus on Shigaraki.

"How many heroes, even villains for that matter…" Shigaraki artfully arranged the pictures. "...do you know of that multi-class?"

"Besides Sensei?" Kurogiri pondered.

"Exactly." Shigaraki spat, disintegrating part of the bar. "Who's to say that Sensei didn't take on another student? Perhaps we wouldn't even need to turn Midoriya to our cause. Still…

He turned, a smile splitting his chapped lips.

"How are we doing on recruits?"

"Good morning class." Aizawa greeted the assembled students of 1-A tiredly. "I have a few announcements to make, so listen up. First things first, we have two new students joining our class. Please welcome them with the same warmth and acceptance I showed you on your first day."

He opened the door, allowing a girl with spiky orange hair and a big smile to walk in.

"Taking the vacant seat 1 will be Itsuka Kendo." Aizawa announced. "Some of you may know her from class 1-B."

"Big hands?!" Bakugou exclaimed, grinning. "I didn't get to tell you during the festival, since you passed out, but you hit hard!"

"Thanks." Itsuka grinned back, bowing to the rest of the class. "I look forward to becoming a better hero alongside each and every one of you!"

Class 1-A cheered, welcoming her into their group.

"...and," Aizawa's voice cut through the noise like a serrated blade. "Taking seat 18 will be Izuku Midoriya."

The classroom was silent as a grave. Even Kendo, who had just taken her seat seemed pale.

"I- I look forward to…" Izuku swallowed, choking on the tension in the room. "...getting to know you guys."

The class mumbled a subdued welcome as Izuku took the seat behind Bakugou.

"Now I'll give you all a moment to get acquainted." Aizawa said, rolling up on the floor in his sleeping bag.

"No hard feelings about the festival, ay Ka-chan?" Izuku laughed nervously.

Kendo seemed to have immediately hit it off with Mina Ashido, a girl with bright pink skin and hair.

"I respect that you didn't hold back." Bakugou frowned. "I respect that you beat me. And I doubt I could have lost to anyone else there. Even Icy Hot."

Izuku's eyes widened.

"But," Bakugou bit out, his temper boiling just beneath the surface of his words. "That doesn't mean I respect you. I want to make one thing clear, Deku. You might not be the worthless nerd I left behind in middle school… But I'm going to beat you. I'm going to be the number one hero, and I'll leave you in the dust, you hear me?"

"Loud and clear, Ka-chan." Izuku grinned. "See you at the top."

With that he turned around, introducing himself to the boy behind him.

"Hi," He smiled. "I'm Izuku Midoriya. Guess we'd better get along, huh."

"As if." Instead of hair, the boy had a single row of bright purple balls on his head. Thick scars, resembling burn scarring, stretched from the purple scalp down to the boy's neck and the tips of his ears.

"I didn't catch your name." Izuku laughed nervously.

"I didn't give it." The boy narrowed his eyes. Tokoyami shook his head from next to the boy, letting Izuku know not to push the matter.

"Don't let Mineta get to you." Hanto Sero ventured from next to Izuku. "Good match in the tournament!"

"Thanks." Izuku smiled.

"Yeah, you were great." The girl in front of Sero said. Her hair was dark and cut to just under her ears, ears that had long tendrils ending in points instead of earlobes. "I'm Kyoka Jirou."

"Izuku Midoriya." He started, before rubbing his neck nervously. "But you knew that because Aizawa Sensei introduced me already."

"Don't sweat it." Jirou grinned. "What's your quirk, by the way? It seems incredibly powerful."

"Oh," Izuku uttered, holding his left arm out for her to see. "It's called Omnitrix. It lets me transform into different creatures."

"Okay, settle down." Aizawa called. "Some of you performed according to the standard expected. Because of this, you have received invitations to intern at a hero agency over the vacation. The rest of you will have to apply."

He wrote on the board, displaying the students that received invitations.

"Let this be a lesson to all of you." He wrote Midoriya Izuku, 780, on the board followed by Todoroki and Bakugou's scores. "Even though Midoriya came first in the festival, he still received less invitations from Pro Heroes than the opponents he defeated in the tournament. Anyone care to guess why? Yes, Yaoyorozu?"

"Because he came from general studies, sir." She guessed. "The image he presented made him seem competent enough to garner a lot of attention but coming from General Studies made heroes wonder why he failed the practical exam."

"Yeah, probably." Aizawa shrugged. "Who knows. Anyway. I expect you to be on your best behaviour, since we have a guest."

"Hello class 1-A!" Midnight enticed, swaying her hips as she entered the class.

"Why is she here?" Sero whispered.

"Remedial Art lessons?" Jirou ventured.

"If you're going to work with a pro, you need to sound like one." Midnight purred. "That means you need a name to introduce yourself with! A Proper Hero Name!"

"Think hard about this." Aizawa warned amidst the uproar from the students. "You could be stuck with this name forever. So don't let your friends choose for you."

"Who'll go first?" Midnight beckoned.

"Seeing as I'm in seat 1, I guess I'll volunteer!" Kendo said, walking up to the plinth. "My quirk lets me enlarge my hands and forearms. This allows me to fight better, and also carry heavier things. So my name will reflect this! Battle Fist!"

"Adorable!" Midnight cooed. "Who's next?"

One by one the students chose their names. Izuku grinned as Tokoyami chose the name Tsukuyomi.

Bakugou took the stage next. He stared directly at Izuku, refusing to break eye contact as he revealed his hero name.

"Overkill." He declared.

"How on brand!" Midnight gushed.

Izuku volunteered to go next.

"I've been coming up with hero names since I was a kid." He admitted. "And until recently… becoming a hero myself seemed impossible. But now I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere. I have the ability to become anything the situation needs. Slimy, creepy, fast and strong. A hero of every shape and size. I will be the Versatile Hero: Alien Force!"

His voice never wavered when he declared his name, and his knees didn't shake. Izuku met Bakugou's gaze without flinching.

AN

I enjoyed writing that. xD

Though, I'll admit it was difficult to decide what to do for this chapter. I figured I might as well tease you guys with what happened at the USJ. ;)

Review Replies!

Guest:
Izuku did take the practical exam, but he was quirkless so he basically just made a nuisance of himself. So much so that they had to stop the exam to have him removed, because he endangered himself that much As such the exam played out differently, and Ochako never needed saving. :)

Crywolfseven:
Way big is supposedly ~300 feet tall, or around 90 meters. Using Pixel measurements of his Alien Force design, we can safely assume his feet would be around 12 by 7 meters. Even though this is massive, and you could never find shoes in that size, he could still fit on a basketball court which is ~28 by ~15 meters, which is the size I imagined the stage to be.

Laito:
Laitou, you flatter me, mate. Appreciate the hell outta you. 3

Guest:
DEFINITELY watch MHA. My writing absolutely doesn't capture how fantastic that show is.

Mando-23:
I didn't want to bog the events down with reactions from everyone, so instead I have it as Present Mic reacting, Aizawa wouldn't show surprise, and then the rest of the reactions I hope I captured well here in this chapter.

DarkSpeed:
I try. :P

bignathan02:
I'll do my best to live up to your expectations! :)

You're much too kind. xD
