UA's Saiyans Heroes-7
"Okay, Team-C are the heroes, and Team-B are the villains for this fight. Villains, get into you places, and heroes, prepare for the attack." All Might said as the team involving Todoroki, Mina, Tsu, Tokoyami, and Sato, went into the mock city to where the fake bomb had been placed. "Alright, now while they're preparing for the attack, let's review. Who was the MVP of the last match?" He questioned the remaining team that hadn't left yet.
"Yagi was the MVP." Sero said.
"Half right, who else?"
"Iida was the other wasn't he?" Kaminari questioned.
"Correct. Why was young Iida one of the MVP's?" All Might questioned.
"Because he'd taken on the role of Villain, and actually made himself take on the personification of a villain. He played the part, like he actually intended on becoming a real villain." Shoji exclaimed.
"That's correct. Now, why was Young Kaen elected as an MVP?" All Might inquired.
"Because he used not only his own abilities to his advantage, but his teammates and enemies skills as well. He strategized a way for his team to win, without shedding a single ounce of blood, while also minimizing property damage to the surrounding area, and focused on keeping the damage to the city where there already was some. He lead his team like a natural born leader." Ben explained.
"That is all true, however, I'm docking points for prolonging the villain's capture when he could have done it as soon as her weapons had been removed, or anytime that she was down, and he could have just touched the bomb." All Might explained.
"Eh, I can live with that." Kaen said.
"Alright, I know it might be a bit early, but Hero Team, you can go in now." All Might declared.
~Team-B~
"Alright, so the first thing we need to do is form a strategy." Mina said. "Any ideas?"
"Yeah, stay out of my way, and keep to the sides so you don't get caught in the crossfire when I strike." Todoroki said.
"We're supposed to be working as a team." Tsu exclaimed.
"I work better alone. No risk of those around me getting hurt that way." Todoroki exclaimed.
"That's not fair Todoroki. We need to work together." Sato exclaimed.
"Fine then, you four guard the bomb while I take down the enemy. Sound good?" Todoroki inquired.
Before the others could protest, Todoroki went running away, through the streets, and towards the hero team.
"Great, our team is divided and our supposed leader just left us to do his own thing." Tokoyami said. "This team is shaping up to be something less then adequate."
"Let's just keep the bomb safe." Mina said, none of them aware of the four shadows coming from the shadows around them.
Meanwhile, with Todoroki, the half-n-half haired boy continued running through the streets. He had no clue where the enemy would be coming from, but he believed he was strong enough to take them all on, by himself.
As he rounded the corner, Todoroki had to back track to avoid getting snatched by, an attack he'd only ever seen performed the Arbor Hero before.
"That's Kamui Woods move, the Lacquered Chain Prison." Todoroki said, bringing up a wall of ice to block its reach. "But what would it be doing here?"
"I'll give you one guess."
Todoroki twisted around, and quickly ducked to avoid a punch that was aimed for him, shattering the ice that he had formed to block the wood attack.
"How, how can you use a Pro-Hero's Quirk?" Todoroki questioned.
"That's not the only hero's Quirk I have." Ben exclaimed, as flames began surrounding his arms and legs. "I believe you're familiar with this Quirk."
"Hellflame." Todoroki said with a glare.
"Oh that's shocking. Your ever Stoic expression just gave me a reaction to seeing me use your father's Quirk." Ben said. "I can use that to my advantage to keep you busy, while my team takes the bomb."
"What?" Todoroki questioned.
With a smile, Ben snapped his fingers, causing a portal to open up beneath them, before they both fell through it, and Todoroki found himself standing at where his team was, and saw each of them were wrapped up in what looked like Sero's tape indicating they were captured.
"I know about your issues when it comes to working with others, and used that to my advantage. You're so adamant about proving yourself the strongest, you didn't even stop to consider the fact you might be playing right into a trap that had been made, before our teams were even assigned our roles. But you neglected one thing, one very key aspect that has caused teams to become stronger, or fall completely apart." Ben explained.
"Which is?" Todoroki inquired.
"United we stand, divided we fall." Ben said. "You didn't put any faith into your teammates, and left them without any sort of plan of attack. I devised this plan to work on whether or not Team-C was made to be either side of the coin. Hero or Villain."
"You certainly know your war tactics." Todoroki said.
"I've learned from a lot of experiences I've seen in the past." Ben said. "You fall here, because you and your team didn't have a foundation to rely on when fighting. While my team, put their trust in me, and my plan. It proves to you, the differences in our strengths."
"Maybe, but I'm still standing, and there's one thing you didn't account for." Todoroki said.
"An' that would be?"
"The depth of hatred I have for my father." Todoroki exclaimed, sending a glacier of ice at Ben.
Pulling his arm back, Ben enhanced it with the Quirks he'd gotten from two different classmates, one of whom, was more than happy to let him copy it.
"Raging Stone." Ben shouted as Wrath coursed through his body, and his arm hardened into jagged stone, as he slammed it into the glacier, shattering the ice with the wind pressure knocking Todoroki off his feet and flying down the paved road.
Using his teleportation Quirk, Ben opened a portal right behind Todoroki, and when he went through it, Todoroki came flying in from behind him, allowing Ben to turn around and use a length of capture tape to tie him up, restricting his movements.
"Another reason why you lost today Todoroki, was because you weren't willing to give it your all, and ended up using only half your power." Ben said, setting Todoroki down like a sack of potatoes. "You can't win just by half-assing it. If you wanna be a hero, you're gonna have to get over your childish behavior."
"We did it." Sero smiled, putting his hand on the bomb.
"An' that's it, Hero Team Wins again." All Might declared.
"Piece of cake." Ben smiled undoing the capture tape around Mina. "Sorry for being so rough, but we were supposed to treat this like the real deal."
"Don't worry about it. I'm sure Kaen won't bloody you too badly because it was just training." Mina smiled.
After returning to the monitoring room, All Might stood before his class with a proud smile on his face, but there was one concern on Kaen's mind.
'How has he kept up his muscle form for so long?' Kaen questioned.
"Well done everyone. Top marks for all of you. Now watch as a Pro makes an exit, like he has somewhere to be." All Might said, running off while leaving a trail of fire and smoke in his wake.
"Wow." Mina whistled.
"He is such an inspiration to us all." Iida said.
'I see, he was just barely hanging on.' Kaen thought. "What's say we hit the showers and head off?"
"Sounds good to me." Mina said. "Hey, would the girls of Kaen's team like to join us for an after school study session at the arcade?"
"I'd be down for it." Jiro smiled.
"I would love to study with my classmates." Momo agreed.
"That'd be so awesome." Uraraka said.
"I'm always up for studying with Kaen." Izumi said.
"Great, let's all meet up at the gates." Mina stated. "Anyone else who might wanna come, just meet us up at the front gates."
~Ladies Locker Room~
"Oh man, it feels so good to clean myself off from training." Uraraka sighed as the hot water washed over her.
"Agreed." Tsu said with a ribbit.
"I'll admit, it's nice to relax after training." Izumi smiled.
"So Midoriya, why is it you use Yagi's first name, and not his last?" Momo questioned, scrubbing herself down.
"Are you and Ashido a trio?" Jiro questioned as she dried herself off.
"What? N-no it's nothing like that." Izumi blushed. "It's just, Kaen and I have been friends since we were in kindergarten. Like he said, I'm a late bloomer when it came to developing a Quirk, and I didn't even know it. But he was the first person who didn't treat me like I was nothing because I was diagnosed as Quirkless." Izumi said.
"Unlike some people." Mina said, sending a glare at Katsumi who only had a towel around her waist.
"What? It's not my fault the bitch is broken." Katsumi said, marching off to her locker.
"Just ignore her." Tsu sighed. "It's best not to give bullies like that power over you by acknowledging their taunts."
"I know, and I shouldn't, it's just hard to do so with her always threatening me with her Quirk." Izumi said.
"So he's been the only friend you've had your entire life?" Uraraka questioned.
"No, his sister Athena was there for me to. She was just like him, not judging me based off what abilities I do or don't have, but by my character and actions. They were real friends, and they even offered to train me to use Ki like them."
"Wait, controlling Ki isn't part of their Quirks?" Jiro asked.
"No it actually isn't. Ki is life energy, and they know the secrets on how to utilize it. But I declined their offer. As much fun as it would be, I told them I wanted to try getting into U.A and becoming a hero, my way." Izumi explained. "I told them I'd accept their offer if I made it into the Support Course, not the Hero Course."
"Is Yagi's sister in the hero course?" Momo inquired, wrapping her hair in a towel.
"No, she's in the support course." Izumi said. "She's not as much of a fighter as Kaen so she figured she'd become a hero in her own way, and will take the Hero Efficiency Recruitment Onus, or H.E.R.O exam, to get her license after she graduates with her engineering license."
"That's quite ambitious for her." Momo smiled. "I'm sure she'll make an excellent hero."
~Arcade~
"Alright, everyone here?" Kaen questioned as they sat around the arcade.
"Almost, I invited Athena to come by, so we're just waiting on her." Izumi said.
"While we're waiting for this sister of yours, how about you tell us that story of how you first met Midoriya?" Uraraka suggested.
"I'm interested to know how that happened to." Kirishima said.
"Aren't you more interested in how I met Mina?" Kaen asked.
"You had a cliched bump in and saved her friends from a villain that had pinned them to the wall." Jiro exclaimed with a smirk.
"Now please, tell us about how you and Midoriya became friends." Momo chimed in.
"Alright, alright fine." Kaen sighed. "It all started when we were around four to five years old..."
~Flashback~
"Wow." A little Kaen smiled happily as he looked around at the temple grounds.
Kaen stood with Celeron, Gine, Toshinori, and Athena at the entrance to Sengakuji Temple, the Temple of the 47 Ronin.
"Why exactly are we here on Pinach and Elery's birthday?" Celeron questioned.
"Be nice Celeron, it was Kaen's idea that each year one of them takes turns on what to do for their birthday, and he wanted to come here." Toshinori said. "I think it's nice he wanted to learn more about the 47 Ronin."
"Not like we need to learn about humans. We're Saiyans, we're a warrior race. Though this should make for a good fortress, with some modifications." Celeron scoffed.
~Pause Flashback~
"Hold up, your brother seriously thought you were aliens from a far off planet?" Uraraka questioned.
"He did. Honestly, we tried to get him help, but nothing worked." Kaen said.
"An' he called you Saiyans. But the Saiyan Remains were only discovered recently a few months ago, weren't they? How would he have known about that word?" Jiro questioned.
"Actually, there had been remains of Saiyans discovered long before that, some were found around that time." Kaen explained. "For instance, the legends of the Monkey King, Sun Wukong, were actually derived from a Saiyan visiting Earth, around that time. His remains have yet to be found though."
"That's so cool. Continue please." Uraraka smiled.
"Right, so Celeron was adamant about what he was saying, but my mom put a stop to it right away..."
~Resume Flashback~
"Enough of that Celeron, we're here to admire the temple, and pay our respects to the Ronin who rest here." Gine said.
"But I have to ask, why the sudden interest in the fallen Ronin?" Toshinori questioned.
"The 47 Ronin were the original heroes. They fought with honor to defend their people, and despite being Ronin they still fulfilled their duties to the end." Kaen exclaimed.
"Anything heroic, that's why." Gine chuckled. "He's always looking for ways to learn about heroes from the Pre-Quirk era."
"Well, he is aspiring to become a hero like his old man." Toshinori smiled.
"When I get my Quirk I'm gonna be one of the greatest heroes of all time." Kaen cheered.
"That you will be Kaen." Toshinori smiled.
Walking up to one of the gravestones, Kaen put his hands together in a prayer form, and bowed in respect to the Ronin. When he brought himself back up, there was an explosion from the ground as the ashes of the Ronin, began to rise, piecing themselves together into the skeletons of the Ronin they had once been.
"Kaen." Gine cried, pulling him back in concern.
With Kaen backing away from the graves, he could see better what was going on. It wasn't just the graves that he was in front of. Someone was using their Quirk to raise all the 47 Ronin from their graves, as the skeletons formed, with their armor and weapons forming over their bones.
"What the hell is going on here?" Gine questioned.
"AHAHAHAHAHA." An evil laughter echoed through the air, as the walking skeletons brandished their weapons at the people. "Tremble, and submit to the might, of the Necromancer Empress."
Kaen followed where the sound of the voice was coming from, and standing atop the roof of the temple, was a man, highly resembling a corrupted elven priestess from a game of DnD.
"Is this your doing Villainess?" Toshinori questioned, beefing up into All Might. "Do you have no honor or respect for the dead?"
"All Might. Your strength is no risk to me, as I control the dead." Empress stated. "An' soon, you shall join the ranks of my army. Such a shame I won't be able to deliver you to my Master, alive."
"I should have known you're working for him." All Might grit his teeth.
"Now, watch as I turn these legendary heroes of old, into my own personal puppets." Empress slamming her hands together, ordering them to attack.
All Might leapt into action, defending people against the threat of the resurrected Ronin, easily dispersing them into nothing as the Empress sent them in waves, rebuilding the skeletons each time All Might knocked them down.
"Enough of this." All Might shouted, clapping his hands together, creating a shock wave that destroyed the skeletons around the area.
After the echoing sound wave of the clap died down, All Might fell to his knees, looking more tired than he should have for having for the small scuffle he was just in.
"What did... you do to me?" All Might questioned.
"Beautiful no?" Empress questioned, reaching into her robes, and pulling out a tanto. "My resurrected creations have the power to siphon the stamina, and life force of anything they come in contact with. In this case, it was you. They stole your stamina, they've stolen your life force, and weakened you, to where even someone as physically weak as me, can take your life." She said, unsheathing the blade.
"No, leave him alone." Kaen shouted, running to All Might and standing in front of him.
"Oh, and what's the little monkey gonna do to stop me?" Empress questioned in a patronizing voice. "Get lost." She stated with a more serious tone, before kicking Kaen across the court yard and into one of the tomb stones, causing it to crack, with half of it falling atop him, pinning him to the ground. "Now, where were we?"
"Stop." Kaen called out, pushing himself out as best he could from under the tombstone. "Don't kill him. He's a hero, and these people haven't done anything wrong." He stated, getting up on shaky legs.
"Oh, does the little monkey still wish to play hero?" Empress cackled, before waving her hand about with a dark purple mist enveloping the area. "Then let's see just how well you can play hero."
The mist began to take solid form as the remains of the Ronin merged, forming a single skeleton. The revived titan of bones was now tar black with the skulls of its comrades being used to create shoulder and shin guard armor, standing at least three feet taller than All Might's full form. Multiple arm, leg and rib bones fused to its body, giving the revived being an armored appearance. Its head was comprised of several spinal cords with three skulls, each of them facing different directions, at least three times larger than normal human skulls, with black flames as hair. In its hands it now held two katana matching its size, as a crimson fire burned in all six of its empty sockets, with four additional arms connected to its body, wielding six katana matching its size as it looked down at the child.
"Let's see if you'll have fun with my Titan Asura." Empress smirked, as her Titan backhanded Kaen, and sent him into the stone memorial monument of the 47 Ronin.
"No. Don't hurt him." Gine called out reaching to Kaen, only to be held back by what remained of the soldiers that didn't get turned into the Titan Asura.
"Ah-ah-ah... This is his battle and his battle alone." Empress said, waving her finger at Gine.
"Please, he hasn't even gotten his Quirk yet." Gine said.
"Well, he should have thought of that before he decided to play hero." Empress smirked.
"No, leave him alone."
Empress turned to who had shouted and saw it was a little girl with short green hair, and a hair clip with an All Might design on it, keeping her bangs out of her face.
"Oh, looks like we've got another little hero who wants to play." Empress cackled snapping her fingers. "It's looking like my Master is gonna have two less heroes to worry about in the future."
Two of the Ronin Skeletons merged together, forming a smaller Asura, before the monster began marching to the girl, forcing her to back up into one of the tombstones, while the other resurrected Ronin, kept the girls mother from running to help her.
Over by the larger of the two Asura Kaen rolled to the side, evading a strike from the three Katana blades in its left hands. Quickly jumping back to his feet, Kaen spotted the Asura marching towards the green haired girl, as she jumped out of the way from one of its attacks. But with being distracted, Kaen was unable to dodge a strike from the Asura in time, as it slammed its foot down on him, sending the boy into the ground, while causing cracks to form in the cement.
Groaning out in pain, Kaen looked up at the Asura as it raised its right arms, for a killing blow. Looking back to where the green haired girl was as she ran to the side evading another swing from the smaller Asura. He could see the fear and pain in her eyes, as tears ran down her cheeks, terrified of the thought of losing her life.
Looking back up at the Asura that had him pinned, Kaen glared at it, his eyes meeting the flames in the Asura's sockets, as it began to bring its blades down on him.
"Remember your honor." Kaen growled, pushing up with all the strength he could muster.
Time seemed to slow down as Kaen wasn't willing to go down so easily. Looking back at where the smaller Asura was, Kaen could see the girl was pinned, and had no way out.
"NO." Kaen shouted, a milky white aura enveloping him, releasing enough of an energy explosion that knocked the Asura off of him. With his body now free, Kaen went flying towards the other Asura. Time seemed to resume, as Kaen pushed the girl out of the way, and before the blade could split his skull open, Kaen caught it between his fists, with a glare in his eyes.
Kaen looked at the Asura in front of him, then to the Empress, and then back to the Asura who was meant to kill him, as it seemed to have frozen in place, witnessing the boys selfless act of courage.
"Not possible." Empress said, lowering her arm as it was raised to strike down All Might. "A burst of rage is all it took, for him to unlock his Quirk?"
Pushing back against the Asura, Kaen pressed his fists tighter together, forcing the Asura to step back.
"Please forgive me for what I am about to do." Kaen whispered.
Letting out an enraged cry, Kaen shattered the blade where his fists collided with it, before pushing forward, and ramming his shoulder into the Asura's sternum.
With one of its arms free, the Asura reached down, and grabbed Kaen by the tail, causing the milky white aura to dissipate as he went limp.
"Finish him now, then end the girl." Empress called to him.
The Asura raised its remaining blade, preparing it to strike Kaen down, but just as it was about to bring the blade down, its arm was grabbed by a hand that completely covered its forearm, and the Asura looked to see the Titan Asura being the culprit.
"Hands off the child." The Titan Asura said, its voice sounding like multiple people talking with a deep guttural reverberation coming from its core.
Titan Asura swung one of its blades down and cut off the arm of the smaller Asura discarding the severed limb, before he swiped at the other arm, forcing the Asura to drop Kaen, but before the boy could hit the ground, Titan Asura came racing around the Asura, and grabbed both Kaen, and the child Izumi in four of its six arms, while its remaining two held up katana that were used to guard the children.
"What are you doing you mindless beast? I am your Mistress, you will obey me." Empress growled, as Titan Asura used his blades to eradicate the smaller Asura, and the other resurrected skeletons, absorbing their life force, and shoving its skull into the center of its chest like a piece on a chest plate. "Destroy those two in your arms."
Titan Asura turned towards the villainess who had given him life, and glared at her.
"I shall not harm these children." Titan Asura said. "You might have given me life, but the will and strength of those I am comprised of, still reside within my flame, and has ignited my independence, when I witnessed this boy, risk his own life to save hers."
"I AM YOUR MASTER. OBEY ME." Empress shouted, a dark stream of energy at Titan Asura, only for the dark violet energy to change to a golden color as Titan Asura absorbed it.
"You have no power over me. You no longer control me." Titan Asura said as the stream of energy ended.
Empress was enraged and tried her hardest to regain control of Titan Asura, trying everything she could think of to bring him back under her influence, but even she had her limits.
"Just like the magic of Necromancy in DnD, you can't regain control of your creations if you've lost control of them. That's the flaw and limitation of your Quirk." All Might said, pushing himself to his feet. "When your creation gains sentience and a will of its own, you can't reign them in."
"I will not fail in my mission." Empress declared. "I'll make another Titan Asura, one that will surpass your might."
"I don't think so witch." Asura said, his hand gripping her head.
"What are you doing?" Empress questioned.
"I will not let you turn more of my kind into your weapons of mass destruction." Titan Asura declared as Empress's violet aura, began turning into a golden stream of light.
As more of the light was absorbed, the tar black of Asura's form gained veins of golden coursing through him, covering his body until he looked like a walking volcano of gold and obsidian.
When no more energy would come from Empress, Asura let go of her head, and dropped her motionless body to the ground. Her skin looked dried out like a mummy's, but it was clear that she was still breathing as her chest rose and fell with each breath she took.
All Might looked to Empress, then to Titan Asura, as he set the two children down, one of them looking exhausted and bruised, while the other just looked terrified and in awe at the same time.
"I... apologize. I wish that I could take back what that witch had made me do, but I cannot." Titan Asura said as he knelt in front of the children, all six of his blades now on his back. "All I can do, is swear my eternal fealty to the one, who helped me break her spell over my mind." He exclaimed. "Let my lord speak his name, so I may swear my eternal loyalty."
Kaen was silent for a moment, before he realized that the Titan Asura was talking about him.
"My name is Kaen Yagi, son of Toshinori Yagi." Kaen exclaimed.
"My Lord Yagi. I swear my unending fealty to you and your family. Please accept this humble servant's loyalty to become your humble vassal." Titan Asura said.
Kaen looked to Asura then to All Might, who was looking better already.
"I... accept your fealty as my vassal." Kaen said.
"I shall do, as you command." Asura said.
~End Flashback~
"After that, All Might sent Titan Asura to I-Island to be studied by David Shield, who I told Asura was an extension of the family, and not to anything harmful to anyone on the island." Kaen finished off the story, making sure to tell the group that All Might appeared at the temple, instead of Toshinori entering it.
"So, you basically got a deity titan guard out of that experience?" Jiro questioned.
"Not exactly." Kaen said. "We later learned that Asura was a sentient part of Empress's Necromancer Quirk itself. An' when it inhabited the reformed skeletal remains of the Ronin, it had gained its independence because of the strong sense of honor and courage I displayed when I saved Izumi's life."
"Thus gaining its own free will, and independent sentience." Izumi added.
"We also learned that he's been able to sustain himself without Empress, because he had not only absorbed all her stamina that day, but also a piece of her soul, so he's technically got a soul of his own." Kaen explained. "The entire thing was just hard to understand as a kid, but now that I'm a bit older, I can understand it completely."
"That's so cool." Uraraka smiled.
"Hey guys, sorry that I'm late. It's been hard getting around everywhere. Thanks for inviting me to join the group Izumi." Athena said coming to the group table. "Sorry that I'm not in proper clothes, I just got done with a project I was working on with Penny, Jenny, and Mei."
Athena greeted them in a pair of yoga shorts with a pouch on her hip, with stockings going under a pair of shin guards leading to armored iron soul boots. Finishing off with a sports bra custom made for her H-Cup chest, leaving her entire midriff exposed, a red choker, and gauntlets on her forearms, thus her entire costume resembling All Might's Bronze Age costume. The fact that her midriff was exposed, wasn't surprising to anyone, but the shocking part was, her stomach looked bloated, resembling a pregnant woman's, early on into the second trimester of the pregnancy.
"Hey, no problem Athena, but..."
"Hmm? What's up?" Athena questioned.
"Oh, it's nothing, I just wasn't expecting to see you so..."
"Girl, why is your tummy so big?" Mina questioned, interrupting Midoriya while putting a gentle hand on the aforementioned belly, making the Saiyan girl blush a bit.
"Mina, I told you about this at lunch." Kaen said. "I told you Athena would look a bit different because..."
"Gasp* It feels so firm and smooth." Mina said in awe.
"Athena, you're pregnant?" Tsu asked, recognizing that shape and smoothness.
"Yes I am pregnant, but let me explain." Athena sighed sitting down on one of the chairs surrounding the table, and scooting in close enough to not crush her belly. "I am pregnant, but I'm not keeping them. Hell, they aren't even my babies, the parents are just renting out my womb for the mother to get proper treatment."
"Explanation please." Izumi said.
"Okay, so one of my mom's nurse friends June, has a Quirk called, Maternal Goddess. She calls it that, because of how it sounds, nothing more, and she let me copy her Quirk a while back when I was still learning to control mine. Anyways, the Quirk allows June and I to do a lot of things with it. I'll explain that later, but after I had finished visiting Rei in the hospital, I started visiting her on a weekly basis when I was little, there was a problem I overheard on my way out. There was an expectant mother who was in need of chemotherapy because she had cancer, but she was not willing to risk the lives of her babies to cure it, and if she didn't get treatment soon, none of them would have survived. So, I remembered that June's Quirk could do anything that was connected to pregnancy, such as transfer a pregnancy from one person to another, and June couldn't do it because she'd already taken in twins for a woman who gave birth several months early after a villain attack last week, and my mom didn't have Maternal Goddess in her Xerox Inventory. So I offered up my help. I told them I could carry the pregnancy to let the woman get her treatment, and she could rest easy knowing her children were being cared for, for the remainder of the pregnancy, by a student from U.A. An' they're even paying me, it's not much, which I don't care. I mean the hospital bills for the mothers treatments will be expensive enough as is, I'm just happy to help a family continue on before it could fall apart without being given a chance to grow." Athena explained.
"So, in layman's terms, you're a surrogate." Jiro said.
"You could put it that way, yeah. I did have to get the hospital's permission to do it, but as you can see that went well." Athena said.
"You know you could have just said that to save time." Mina exclaimed. "But damn girl the maternal body look, really suits you."
"Mina I told you at lunch that Athena was working as a surrogate." Kaen chuckled.
"How far along is the pregnancy?" Momo questioned.
"According to the parents, the mother was about three months along with triplets." Athena said.
"Holy, you're barely out of the first trimester. Are you sure you can handle carrying triplets all the way to term?" Izumi questioned.
"I'll be fine. I am Kaen's sister afterall." Athena smiled. "So, who's hungry? I'm really craving some soba with chocolate sauce."
"The cravings have already set in." Mina chuckled, not noticing how Kaen was slipping a letter in her bag.
"Wait, wouldn't you have gotten in trouble for using one of the Quirks you collected?" Momo inquired.
"Well, I actually wouldn't have." Athena said.
"Our dad is All Might's main secretary at his agency, and because of that, there's the likelihood we'll be targeted by All Might's enemies, so as a way to keep up safe, All Might managed to pull a few strings to give Athena and I provisional licenses, that allow us to use our Quirks to defend ourselves, so long as whoever we're fighting, used their Quirk first." Kaen explained. "It also allows us to use our power for medical emergencies."
"Normally we have to renew them every year or so, but by the time they expire, the Provisional Licensing Exams will have come and gone, and I'll be the only one in need of renewing my provisional license." Athena added. "So your concerns are appreciated, but not needed as I won't get in trouble for using my Quirk the way I have."
"That's so cool." Mina said.
"Okay, since everyone is here now, let's get down to studying." Kaen smiled.
~Later~
"Alright, thanks for walking me home Kaen. But are you sure it was all right for you to accompany me, instead of going with Athena?" Mina inquired as Kaen walked her to her front door.
"I'm sure. Athena flew back to our home after we were done studying, so I was free to take you home." Kaen said.
"That's sweet of you Kaen." Mina smiled. "I'll see you in class tomorrow."
"See ya." Kaen smiled.
Going into her house, Mina couldn't help but smile as she closed the door and leaned against it.
"Oh shoot, I didn't get an answer from him for my question this morning." Mina said.
"Mina, is that you sweetie?" A woman's voice called out from deeper inside the house.
"Yeah, it's me mom."
"How was school sweetie?" Her mom asked, coming to greet Mina.
Mina's mom, Tsuki Ashido, is fair-skinned woman with silvery pink hair that reaches her upper-back, tied in a side-ponytail hanging over her right shoulder. She is of average height and while 43 years old, she looks deceptively young and beautiful. Like her daughter, she is curvaceous in frame with a very ample bosom, but with an increased size of a J-Cup chest compared to Mina's recently grown H-Cup. While having eyes containing a rainbow pattern starting from the black pupils, they are rarely seen as she normally keeps them squinted.
"Honey was that your friend out there? Why didn't you invite them in for dinner? We're having Katsudon." Tsuki asked.
"I couldn't. Dad wouldn't approve, you know how he is whenever the topic of boys comes up." Mina said.
"True, your father does tend to be a bit over protective of his little, Fairy Princess." She sighed. "Still I'm glad you made another male friend besides Kirishima."
"Thanks mom." Mina smiled. "I'm going to my room to finish the remainder of my homework, call me when dinner's ready."
"You've already finished most of it?" Tsuki asked in surprise.
"Yeah, we had an after school cram session at the arcade when classes ended. An' All Might is a totally awesome guy. He was our teacher and he was amazing." Mina smiled happily.
"Oh dear, I'm so glad you're enjoying the hero course. How did your friend react to All Might?" Tsuki questioned with a smile.
"Kaen? He see's All Might practically on a daily basis, his father is the big guy's main secretary." Mina said.
"Mina..." Tsuki said with a pause as she walked up to her daughter, before she began pulling on Mina's cheeks. "Did you befriend this boy just so you could have a connection to All Might, and collect popularity at school?"
"What? No mom, I really like him." Mina said before Tsuki let go of her cheeks. "In fact, I don't even care that he has a connection to All Might. I like him for who he is, not for who he's connected to."
"Very well. So long as you know something that shallow will not be accepted in this household." Tsuki said.
"I know, you and dad raised me better than that." Mina sighed. "I'm gonna go finish my homework now."
"Dinner will be ready in half an hour." Tsuki called out.
Heading into her room, Mina closed the door behind her, and set her bag on her bed, taking out the remainder of her homework.
"Seriously, I love mom, but sometimes she can be... what's this?" Mina questioned, as an envelope fell out of her bag when she pulled out her books. "A love letter?" She asked, seeing the heart on the flap of the envelope. "I wonder who it's from? It better not be from Kiri, that would make things awkward between us, not to mention he knows I'm with Kaen."
Opening the letter, Mina was shocked to find it wasn't from Kirishima, but from Kaen, and the topic he wrote in it, was shocking to her.
"Dear Mina, this morning, you had asked me a rather personal question, and it took me by surprise. So I'm sorry for not responding right away, but I needed some time to think, and so, I was too embarrassed to say it out loud, which is why, I have provided you with a list below this message. Sincerely your BF Kaen."
"Oh Kaen you adorable, lovable dork." Mina snickered after reading the message. "If you were uncomfortable with telling me, then you should have just said so."
"Mina." Tsuki's voice came from down stairs. "You have a visitor."
"I'll be down in a second." Mina said, shoving the letter in a drawer on her desk, and quickly changed into her natural clothes, consisting of a tube top and a pair of yoga shorts, before hopping down the stairs, and to the family room. To her surprise, she saw Kaen sitting on the couch, still in his uniform, as Tsuki was handing him a cup of tea.
"Here you go."
"I appreciate it, but you didn't have to."
"Nonsense, just make yourself right at home."
"Kaen, hey what's up, why are you here?" Mina questioned.
"Oh hey, you accidentally packed your phone into my bag, so I thought since I was still close by, I'd come and drop it off for you." Kaen said, pulling Mina's phone from inside his bag as he stood up.
"Aw, you're so sweet." Mina smiled, accepting back her phone.
"Yagi, won't you please stay for dinner?" Tsuki asked. "We're having Katsudon with high quality pork cutlets."
"I don't know, I wouldn't want to impose." Kaen said.
"It's no trouble, dinner will just be pushed back a bit longer for the extra servings." Tsuki said.
"I..."
"Psst, Kaen." Mina said, nudging him with her elbow. "It's best if you just accept her invite. She's not gonna quit until you say yes." She whispered to her.
"I graciously accept your invitation." Kaen said, giving Tsuki a bow.
"Oh my, such a polite young man." Tsuki smiled. "While I'm prepping dinner, why don't you two have another study session while you wait?"
"That sounds great, I'll go get my books." Mina smiled, before running up the stairs.
"Uh, sure I'll just give my mom a call an' let her know where I am so she doesn't worry." Kaen said pulling out his phone, as Tsuki went to the closet. After dialing up his home number, Kaen began talking. "Hey mom... I'm fine, how about you? That's good... So here's the thing. I came back to Mina's place to give her phone back to her, and Mrs. Ashido invited me to stay for dinner, I thought I'd call and let you know where I am... Alright, thanks mom... Is Athena doing okay? She doesn't sound too good in the background there... Okay, if it's nothing serious, then I guess there's nothing for me to worry about. Love you too mom, I'll talk to you later."
"Is everything all right at your home?" Tsuki inquired stepping up to him.
"Everything is fine, my sister's just experiencing some, nausea." Kaen said, before noticing what was in her hands. "What's all this?"
"I thought you might like to get out of your school uniform and into something more comfortable. I'm sorry if these aren't exactly your style. My husband grew up as a ranch hand in America, so these should be your size."
"Thank you, that's... very kind of you to do..." Kaen said as Tsuki put the clothes in his arms.
"There's a bathroom just down the hall you can use to change into these." Tsuki said.
"Thanks. I'll be out in a minute."
A short while later, Mina came running back down, this time with a button up jean shirt added to her outfit, and carrying her books and homework with her. When she got to the table she was stunned to find Kaen sitting there, wearing something completely different from his school uniform.
"Wow Kaen, the ranch hand looks suits you." Mina smiled.
The clothes Tsuki provided Kaen, consisted of a pair of wrangler jeans with a belt, a red V-Neck T-Shirt, and a dark blue button up flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up and the front open.
"You think so?" Kaen inquired, looking himself over. "I kinda like the feel of these clothes."
"They suit you perfectly." Mina smiled, before looking to her mom. "But mom, why'd you give him dad's old clothes?"
"You know your father dear. If he saw Yagi in his school uniform, he'd have blown a gasket. If you want your friend to leave here alive, then he has to be dressed the part for manly bonding." Tsuki said.
"Wait, what?" Kaen questioned.
"Mom, quit scaring him." Mina groaned. "Look Kaen, my dad is a bit... barbaric. He likes to bond through manly stuff, like sports, wrestling, drinks, that sort of thing. An' he's really intimidating, it's one of the reasons why I don't have a lot of guy friends. Actually, he's the main reason I don't have any guy friends besides you and Kirishima."
"Why don't you two just sit down and get started on homework? Enough with the looming fear of your father sweetie." Tsuki said.
"Alright, c'mon Kaen, these books aren't gonna hit themselves."
Kaen sat at the table with Mina, and began helping each other with homework. They were a few minutes in, when Kaen had a thought.
'Wait, if what she said about her father was the case, then do they not know we've been dating for a few months now?' Kaen pondered.

Can anyone guess who I based Tsuki Ashido off of?
