Author's Note:
I don't really have much to say other than, hello and remember I don't own Naruto or any of its characters.
"Itsuo, hurry up and kill them. We don't have time to be playing."
Mito said already continuing on the road path. I had several clones throwing the bodies to the side of the road after taking all their valuables.
"Alright, alright. Air Release: Vacuum Serial Waves." The blades of air cut down the last of the bandits.
The rest of us took off at high speeds again and Itsuo caught up with a shushin.
Utakate was the one that spoke up, "No more games you kids. Treat this mission seriously until we get to the rally point."
Itsuo and Nanako both said yes sir. I just shook my head at them.
"If you guys want to play extreme tag next time I'll make it a training experience. You guys are a guard detail now it's a bit different." I said a little disappointed in them.
They both pouted but nodded. We were three days into our travel and we haven't had any contact with enemies until this point. As minor as they were, these bandits still posed a threat just due to their sheer number and some poorly trained ninja thrown in.
We could have skipped them entirely and stay on our path but Nanako and Itsuo just had to have their little challenge of tag and who could kill the most bandits.
We travelled at high speeds for another two days only stopping to sleep and eat. There was light talk, but no more fooling around. Before we reached the port town we all henged into different forgettable people. Ume and Jumongo were playing as husband and wife. While Itsuo, Nanako and Utakate were playing the part of a fish man with his two grandchildren. Mito and I were playing the part of two traveling brothers.
I kept tabs on everyone's locations as they slowly made it through the town without drawing any attention and made it to the docks. There were a few guards standing around the ramps that led onto the boat traveling to snow.
Everyone was able to pay for their tickets and I watched as the guards inspected Ume and Jumongo first. I gave a relieved sigh as the guards waved them through to walk on the ramp.
After a few other people went on it was Itsuo, Nanako and Utakate's turn to board. The guards held them a little bit longer, so I used magic to carry the guards words to my ears.
"Ah, Mr. Fisherman-San, I hope you and your grandkids catch a lot of perch and bluegill."
I smiled to myself at least the guards weren't terrible assholes. Before too long it was our turn and the guards checked over our tickets. When they deemed the tickets good they let us board.
All of us were relatively close by but not enough that we'd all be associated with each other. We all watched as the boat left the dock and the many people wave goodbye to friends and family.
The boat ride itself was a day and a half and none of us made contact with each other group like we were told. The ride was peaceful and as we got closer to snow people put on thicker layers.
When the boat reached the harbor Mito and I were some of the first ones off. Luckily there was a clothes shop near the harbor because we were going to need winter cloaks.
We went in and there was a whole bunch of different winter clothes. Luckily for ninja they don't need that much heavy clothes since chakra generally regulates their temperature.
I spotted the cloaks in the corner of the store and gestured at Mito. They were beige with a navy blue trim. I held one up and it looks like it would cover almost everything except your ankles and below.
Mito and I grabbed the sizes that would fit us and brought it up to the merchant to pay. I pulled out enough money from my little hip bag and handed it to the merchant.
We both put on our cloaks and turned to leave. Ume and Jumongo had came into the store and they were making a show of looking at the clothes. Mito and I left the clothes shop and before we got to far I could hear Itsuo's fake voice say something about getting cloaks gramps.
I snickered on the inside and led Mito out of the town. We were probably a mile out and waiting for about ten minutes before the others showed up. We all dropped our henges.
"Glad to actually see your faces everyone." I said looking everyone over.
"We have half a days travel left. With luck we should get there before late evening and without a snowstorm."
Utakate said looking up at the sky.
"Why do I feel like you jinxed us?" Nanako asked looking suspiciously at Utakate.
"Oh, please. I'm here with you guys. Even if there is a snowstorm; our chances of being lost in it are zero." I scoffed and held out my hand with a sigil.
"Let's get going then. I still would rather not be in a snowstorm." Mito started at high speeds and we all got into kite position with Mito and I in the middle, Ume and Jumongo on the left and right, then Utakate in the front, with Itsuo behind us and Nanako behind him.
We travelled for only about five hours before the snowstorm hit us. We would of had to stop, but I made a barrier around us all so the snow and wind wasn't hitting us. It still amazes the others sometimes with how much I can do with just a sigil.
After another two hours of traveling I yelled for the others to stop as kunai landed in the ground in front of Itsuo. Itsuo immediately went into a fighting stance with kunai in each hand and in reverse grip.
I brought chakra to my eyes and I focused on where the flickers of chakra were coming from. There was five of them and they all had the iconic silver white hair of the Harare Clan.
I made a sign for the others to relax and Itsuo put his kunai away.
"Mito-sama it seems like the Hatake found us first." I said loud enough for said Ninja to hear.
A woman with long spiky hair came close enough for us to see.
"What brings you here Uzumakis?"
Mito spoke up, "Our allies the Senju have not been getting any responses back to missives and inquiries. The Senju have asked us to see if there is an issue and to help."
"Mendokusai. I was wondering when the Senju would figure out something is wrong. Quick follow me back to the compound before anymore clan-less show up."
She took off running and we followed after her. We travelled for another twenty minutes at least before we came upon a Mountain. With a few shushin we came to some gate doors that opened when she yelled.
"Open the gates it's Hanako!"
The gates opened but I kept an ear open for the clan-less ninja anyways and we seemed safe for now.
Hanako led us through the Hatake Compound; which was significantly smaller than the Uzumaki Compound, until we reached the biggest building.
Hanako led us through the building until she stopped outside of a door with two guards.
"The Senju have sent our allies the Uzumaki to help with our issues. They need to speak to Daitan-sama immediately."
Hanako bowed at us then left as one of the guards opened up the door for us to go in. Mito and I walked in as the others stayed out to wait for us.
We both kneeled at the cushions that were set before the steps to the raised platform where I'm guessing Daitan sat.
Mito bowed her head and I followed her example.
"Hello, Daitan-sama, it's been a couple years since last we met. Allow me to introduce my personal bodyguard, Jun-san."
Daitan's voice wasn't deep like Utakate's, but in no way was it high.
"Hello again Mito-chan, and a pleasure to meet you as well Jun-san."
I bowed my head, "Likewise, Daitan-sama."
He was dressed in BDU's ready for an attack at any moment. He was calm though, so maybe he wasn't too worried. Daitan had short spiky near-stark white hair and a three o'clock shadow. He scratched his beard and sighed.
"We have an issue with clan-less ninja attacking around our territory. I have patrols out fighting them away from the compound so they don't find us, but I think our location has been compromised anyways. These past few days their attacks have been too close and around the compound for them not to know. Hanako and her squad have been doing good keeping most of the indirect attacks at bay, but we already have six of our own injured. I already have most of the able bodies rotating shifts and extra patrols. I can't afford to send a big enough squad to figure their location and destroy their base. We are only thirty five strong in ninja right now excluding myself. There was fifty, but we've been having our own issues with the Yuuki Clan, damn ice blood limit of theirs."
I spoke up, "Excuse me, Daitan-sama, do you think it's possible that the Yuuki could be involved?"
He rubbed his chin in thought, "I would like to say no as it's generally not their tactic to include clan-less, no self respecting clan would, but our last clash left more of theirs dead than ours. Clan-less will take any money and keep the spoils from conquered clans. So, it could be a possibility."
Mito spoke next, "Ushina-sama sent us here to help out with any problems you may have since the Senju have asked us to check things out. We can figure out were the clan-less are based and take them out completely and see if the Yuuki are behind this or if its just an isolated attack. Jun-san can heal any of your injured, she has her own bloodlimit that makes all jutsu easier for her."
I looked sideways at Mito in question, but I spoke, "If Mito-sama wishes it, yes, I can heal all your injured in a small amount of time before we figure out where the clan-less are based."
"That would be great I owe a debt to you Uzumaki. If you'll follow me I'll take you to the infirmary."
We stood as Daitan did and followed him out of the room. The others gathered around us and I filled them in on what was going on as Daitan led us to the infirmary. We arrived at a smaller building that had the iconic red medical cross on a sign above the door. Daitain walked through first and I followed after him. The first thing I smelled was ozone. Some one had sever chakra burns from a lightning jutsu. There was twenty cots splayed around but only six were filled with an inhabitant. I thoughtlessly made five other clones as I followed my nose to a cot that had a young boy a couple years younger than Itsuo and Nanako with a blackened left arm.
"An over-powered jutsu, must have been a last ditch effort..." I trailed off touching different parts of the arm and hand. "Can you feel anything? Can you move your fingers?" The boy shook his head no. " Fried nerves, dead skin, and infection from open sores."
I placed my hand on his head and mused his hair.
"Not to worry, if it was anybody else I would say your career as a ninja is done. However, I'm a little special and I'll be able to reverse all the damage and get rid of the infection in one."
I noticed my clones already started healing their patients and I let my chakra flow over me for just a second. I heard the others gasp and I just smiled their way before I reigned it back in. I changed it to healing chakra with the help of a small sigil that won't be noticed as it was in my palm and my hand was face down hovering over the boy's arm. It only took a couple minutes, but everyone was able to witness as the infection steamed away and his skin regained it's color as sores closed. I could hear the relieved sighs of the other patients as they were fully healed and in no more pain. My clones vanished one by one and I sorted the influx of info into the back of my mind.
When I was finished I patted the boy on the shoulder. "You're all healed try moving your fingers."
The boy looked skeptical at first then his face brightened when he was able to flex all his fingers and move his hand around.
"Umph-" I was taken aback as the boy hugged me real tight then ran off.
"That was really something special Jun-san. Natsuo-kun was devastated when he found out he wouldn't be able to continue the way of the ninja with his arm like that. The jutsu he over powered was the lightning strike, it ultimately saved his life and his squads'. He was the only one standing after being outnumbered. He hit his targets and Hanako's squad saw the lightning show and managed to get them back to the infirmary before more clan-less could show up."
"Ah, well, I'm happy to help." I cracked my neck, "For me it's easy as molding chakra to the feet to wall climb."
Daitan-sama smacked me on the back and laughed, "Ha, if your little chakra release was anything to go by you must be a chakra monster even by Uzumaki standards."
I was moved a little by his smack and I smiled, "Yes, I am."
Mito shook her head, "We'll be heading off now Daitan-sama. With luck it shouldn't take us more than two days to find their base."
"Be safe Mito-chan and company, wouldn't want your Ji-chan after my hide because something happened to you lot." He started walking back to the clan head building and we made our way to the gate.
"Jun-san go ahead and mask yourself like we've been talking about." The others looked at me in question I brought one hand up to my face and ran one hand through my hair. With a sigil; a blank white mask with only big eye holes that with a little magic looked like endless pits covered my face and my hair changed from black to a dark red.
Ume played with a few strands of my hair, "Uwa, It's not like a henge at all. How does it release Jun-chan?"
My voice was a little muffled, but otherwise quite clear to the others, "It'll only go away if I sigil it away. Sleeping, being knocked out, or a disruption in chakra flow won't cause this image to falter. It's keyed, so the only one allowed to remove this image is Hime-sama and myself."
Nanako whistled, "That is impressive. No offense Hime-sama, but I just don't understand how Jun-san can be so devoted to you like a lap dog-" Utakate whacked her on the head with the sheath of his sword.
"Oi oi, watch your tongue. This is the princess you are talking too." Nanako rubbed her head and stuck her tongue out at Utakate-san.
"Oh, its simple. The princess is just too beautiful for me not too." Everyone face vaulted at that.
Mito blushed, "Baka!" She hit me over the head, "Awww, Mito-chan don't be embarrassed by our love."
She opened her mouth to say something, but I shushined behind her and hugged her close to my body and looked at the others through hooded eye lids. I placed a small light kiss to her cheek and everyone else blushed.
"Hime-sama is mine as I am Hime-sama's."
Ume had a hand to her mouth, " Jun-chan I didn't know I-" before she could finish Mito had grabbed my arm an tossed me over her shoulder.
"Ara?" Ume tilted her head in confusion as I sigiled out a shield, so Mito wouldn't stomp on my face.
"I was kidding Hime-sama! Though I think you are very beautiful Mito-chan. Urk." She stomped even harder and I had the shield incredibly close to my face.
Jumongo just laughed and grabbed Itsuo before he could say anything. "Come, we have a base to find." Utakate followed after them muttering something about children.
Nanako-chan had a hand out and brought her other one down into a fist on top of it. "Ah, so Jun-chan loves Mito-sama and Mito doesn't reciprocate the feelings."
Ume shook her head in exasperation, "I don't even know."
She grabbed the back of Nanako's shirt and dragged her along.
When everyone was waiting on us I got up and let Mito hit me over the head.
"You idiot you can't just do those kinds of things." Mito said with that blush still on her cheeks.
I laughed and turned to smile at her, "This 'idiot' meant what she said Hime-sama. You are my most precious person and I will serve you no matter what."
Mito made a noise in her throat then just punched me in the shoulder. "Let's just go Jun-chan."
She turned towards the others and I waved at the gate guards to let us through.
Utakate gave me a smile and nodded his head.
With that we all took off at high speeds again with Nanako in the lead since she was the best tracker out of everyone besides myself.
