Defect purged synopsis
Teito let the three men go. The entire incident was forgotten soon after...
However Teito felt a dark presence and was compelled to investigate. He asked Mikage to tell Ayanami that he is going to take leave when he did.
A dark matter...bent on infecting the minds of the higher powers with evil thoughts and cruelty. Teito saw its presence. A hooded male without a face.
It taunted him on how his life had turned up outside down and he is now serving the very nation who his has fought against. Teito was unfazed by this and attacked it.
Zaiphon and dark magics clashed and the dark matter was angry at Teito for defying his destiny by being a submissive servant of Ayanami. Teito ignored it and attacked the matter.
Mikhail studied it and told Teito that it is Verloren's defect. He also informed Teito that Ayanami is Verloren and told his vessel to keep that part to himself. When Teito asked that if it would help Verloren, the archangel merely shrugged and said that it could 'cure' Verloren by removing the rot -an infection or a boil within the skin - that Verloren had since heaven.
Teito forced the defect to flee with one well placed Zaiphon. The effect angrily sneered at Teito that he had the Pope under control and he would have Teito arrested then executed, not even the military can stop it.
Teito arrived at the Pope's place and it seemed that the Pope was angry to see him and attacked. He mockingly revealed that it was he who made the act of Fea Kreuz stealing the Pandora's box into a crime and that he was the one who stole Teito as a baby. He admitted without shame that it was he that transformed Pandora's box from a coffin to a human vessel so that he could gain Verloren's knowledge.
Teito felt sick in the stomach hearing the Pope's speeches of his crimes as if he was discussing the weather. He attacked the Pope and used Mikhail to purge the defect. Mikhail attacked the defect who the Pope called the shadow man and succeeded in destroying it forever.
Teito looked at the Pope who was in shock and told him of his own crimes. The man was horrified in what he had done and while he yelled out for guards, he told Teito to flee while he made his confession.
Teito saw a back door in the Pope's office and was immediately pulled inside by a woman...
The Pope made an announcement in Barsburg where he confessed his role in instigating the Raggs war while being possessed and altering the records so that Fea Kreuz was responsible. He admitted to be the one who tampered with Pandora's box. He committed suicide in full view of his own guards.
