AN:/ Hello my amazing readers I am so sorry I am so late getting this chapter out today. I had dinner with the family to celebrate birthdays, and mothers day, and graduation. And, so I hope you will forgive me! This chapter all I am going to say is DONT MESS WITH THE LONGBOTTOM FAMILY! I dont own Harry Potter that belongs to JK Rowling! Enjoy Chapter 7 of Dark Souls!
Harry's Point of View:
Just as predicted the healers tried to make me and Hermione leave, "If you touch either one of those children you will deal with the house of Longbottom now out all of you. Apparently we have left my son and daughter in law in the wrong hands I will be contacting the DMLE in this situation" Augusta sneers.
All the healers left the room and Frank and Alice sit up looking at Neville with love and confusion, "How long have we been out last I remember Neville was a baby. And, he most definitely isnt a baby any longer" Frank says.
Neville sighs, "Hermione had asked me if she could do research on your case during the summer. I didnt see any harm in it she is the smartest witch of our age maybe yours as well" he starts out. "I am sixteen now." Alice lets out a cry and he hold her in his arms. "Hermione found the healers were using honey in your medications. Instead of the spell affecting you, you were trapped in your own minds, because of the allery to honey" he tells them.
Me and Hermione were sitting on the seats next to the wall giving the family some time. Alice and Frank look at us with so much thanks, "We dont know how to thank you! You literally saved us from the healers that were supposed to be saving us. Name anything and its yours" Alice says.
Hermione blushes at the praise and went to shake her head and say nothing was needed but I stepped in. "Well you see recently her parents lost all memories we thing they were attacked." I start out and Hermione looks at me with such sadness in her eyes. "She has been staying at the Leaky Cauldren and just found out she is the last of the Ravenclaw line. And, we dont really want that to get out. You can guess why" they look at her with widened eyes and nod. "Well being muggleborn she doesnt have the protection of the world. I have the Potter name and I am going to be getting my godfather a trial soon that he wasnt given, and I have proof that he is innocent. But, with so much going on I couldnt possibly take her under the Potter protection just yet." as much as I wanted too they nod again in understanding. "And, I want to protect her as much as possible. We just started dating, and I just claimed my lordship so I want to get bethrothed to her soon, but she wants to date for a while. So if it wouldnt be too much maybe adopting her so she is safe in this world?" I ask them.
Frank looks over at Alice and her eyes are shining at the idea. "We always wanted more children." Alice starts and looks over at Neville, "What do you think of the idea Neville dear?" she asks.
Neville looks at us eyes shinning and tears running down his face, "I think its the best fucking idea ever! I always seen Hermione as my sister, and to make it come true would be a dream come true! And, she would be protected more. Ronald Weasley and Ginny Weasley bully her when your not around and she knew she couldnt do anything about it because the courts nearly always side with the purebloods. And, no one would dare mess with her" he says protectiveness in his eyes.
Frank nods, "And, what do you think of this mother?" he asks looking at Augusta.
Augusta looks at us and lets out a nod, "She is a very powerful witch im surprised I didnt put it together before. I mean We are the direct line of Helga Hufflepuff. And, the Potters come from the line of Godric Griffindor. I have seen the Weasley twins and there powers combined. Strongest magic since Salzar Slytherin. Though I swear he who must not be named claims he is from that line I dont remember the Riddles being from that line." she shakes her head clearing it. "I think she would make an excellent Longbottom since she seems attached to Lord Potter here so we cant marry her into our line, but having her as a grandaughter makes up for it." she says.
I feel Hermione shake and I look down at her she has tears in her eyes. "And, Harry until your godfather is cleared you would fall under House of Longbottom protection since I am your godmother." she says looking at me then looks at Hermione her own eyes misting, "Welcome to the family my dear." she whispers.
Hermione launches herself in her arms and cries in her chest. I would have to talk with Neville about the bulling she had never said anything to me or I had been to blind to it the first time. Soon Hermione pulls away. "We will check in and see what must be done we will have it done before Sept 1st when you return to Hogwarts my dear. And, you will check out of the Leaky as soon as possible the both of you" Frank says looking at us both. "And, we will have you set up in Longbottom Manor tonight I will not have my daughter or godson staying anywhere else." he says.
All the sudden the DMLE comes into the room none of which I reconize. "We are here because the healers say that a Ms. Granger has given patients untested potions and is wanted by questioning. St. Mungos is pressing full charges against her" a tall skinny pale man says.
Hermiones eyes go wide and it looks like she is panting for air. I rush to her side and so does Neville. Frank and Alice glare at the auroas and Augusta stands in front of us wand raised. "You think you will touch one hair on my granddaughter to be you have another thing coming" she snarls.
She is blasted aside and Hermione is taken from my arms. She fights against them and she is reaching out to me tears streaming down her face. "HARRY" she cries out.
She is having a full blown panic attack now and then she let out a scream and I heard a loud pop. The aurora had broken her arm. Fury ran through me, but before I could do anything Frank stands and Neville threw him his wand. The auroas look in shock like they hadnt noticed that the Longbottoms were awake, Alice joins his side. "You will unhand my daughter this instance. She is in distress and no doubt by that pop she has a broken arm. And, throwing my mother there is hell to pay" he snarls wand raised.
All the sudden Amelia Bones walks in and sees the commotion. "Franklin remove Ms. Granger at once!" she snarls.
Franklin I would remember that name because he was just added to my list of people going to die. And, he did but before Hermione could come to my arms Alice took her in her own. She held her close to her chest and the look of fury as she inspected the arm I could see the bruises forming. "Maam I was doing my job" he snarled back.
She was fuming at this point, "I am the head of this department and you were told to come and check if the healers were correct in there assumptions and wait here while I came to question them NOT GRAB AN UNDER AGE WITCH AND BLOODY BREAK HER ARM" She yells at him. Then looks at us, "I am so sorry we were called here and I was with another patient. Ms. Granger are you well?" she asks. And, then her eyes fall and her jaw hit the floor, "Frank and Alice Longbottom your awake" she whispered in shock.
Alice had taken Hermione to her old bed and me and Neville stood guard, "NO SHES NOT BLOODY OKAY ILL HAVE THIS FUCKING AURORAS JOB WHEN IM THROUGH WITH HIM HE THREW MY DAM MOTHER IN LAW AND GRABBED MY SOON TO BE DAUGHTER HE BROKE HER DAM ARM I WANT HIM ARRESTED I WANT HIM OUT OF HERE BEFORE I BLOODY KILL HER" Alice Longbottom was going mother bear. Her cub was injured and she was out for blood.
Alice looks at him in shock Augusta was now standing beside Frank, "Franklin Roose please tell me you didnt throw the Lady Augusta Longbottom" she says to him. He just shrugs. "Dear Merlin help this man. Rocko take him to the holding sells it seems the House of Longbottom is pressing charges against him." she says. Then looks back at us. "I am so sorry about this happening is there anything I can do" she asks.
Frank sneers, "An explanation would be nice. I am with my wife adopting Ms. Granger. I am guessing because she wasnt given a magical guardian to take her in when she became orphaned." he says.
Hermione lets out a sniffle, "Albus was my magical guardian at least that is what I was told picked me up from the house when I sent him a letter and dropped me off at the Leaky no money except what I had saved it was enough for a couple weeks I had hoped Tom would let me work the rest so I could stay until Hogwarts" she tells him.
I dont know whos magical energy was the strongest at the moment they were combined at our anger. "That is bloody unacceptable change needs to happen Amelia or I will gladly take my daughter Hermione, my son, and my godson out of Hogwarts and we will leave Britan" Frank says with a sneer. And, looks at Hermione sadly, "Alice what do you suggest with her arm I dont trust the healers here to treat her" he says.
I had no doubt he meant it too, "If we were in the muggle world dear I would say surgery he broke at least six bones in her arm holding it with both his hands and her trying to break away. I would say Skelegrow and the rest of the month in a sling." she says to him.
Augusta calls for a house elf named Pippy, "Pippy we require a sling and some skelegrow quickly for your new young mistress" she orders.
The elf nods and then begins to jump for joy when she sees Frank and Alice awake, "Oh elves will be so happy kind master and mistress have finally awaken. Pippy will get the things you require" and she was gone.
Amelia looks at Hermione sadly, "This was never meant to happen Ms. Granger" she says sadly.
She looked like she was about to say something but was interrupted, "You bloody bet it wasnt I never knew of Auroas coming to question an under age witch and another witch not be present. Maybe we should leave now. I dont feel safe letting my children go back to Hogwarts if this is the safety we are receiving from our Auroas and how the headmaster who is supposedly the magical guardian treats there students" Alice says with a sneer.
Pippy gives her pain medication and Skelegrow. And, Alice helps set her in the sling. "I assure you we will be looking into this as soon as possible. And, Mr. Potter" she says looking at me. "I received the documentation from Gringotts about your Godfather. I looked to see what it was said at his trial and found none was given. If you by chance see your godfather give him the ministry of magics full apology there will be something printed front page in tomorrows daily prophet and I have read it over to make sure there is no lies and we have started a man hunt for Peter Pettigrew." she tells me.
I felt so light and so free. I would call Sirius after mine and Hermiones meeting with the twins, I nod, "I will pass the message along if I see him" I tell him.
She nods, "I am guessing you will be pressing charges against Auroa Franklin?" she asks.
Frank nods, "You better fucking believe it" he says with a snarl. And, then goes and sits by Hermione she has a slight dazed expression on her face from the pain potions, he ran his fingers through her hair and she relaxed against him. "My daughter was harmed and in distress and he threw my mother against a bloody wall! You bloody better believe I am taking him before the wizgnot." he says.
She nods, "I am afraid she wont be able to be under the Longbottom protection until the adoption has gone through" she says in a quiet voice.
Fury runs through Frank Longbottom that I slightly feared him. "I will fix this right now no way is she not going to get justice get me a judge or bloody something to adopt this witch she isnt leaving this bloody hospital till she is protected." he says.
She nods and soon all the paperwork is done and Hermione was legally adopted and was Hermione Alice Jean Longbottom. She had wanted to keep a small part of her muggle name and Alice suggested keeping her mothers middle name and adding hers as well. Hermione nodded in agreement. I take her hand in mine. "We will meet you back at Longbottom manor we have to go get our belongings and meet with our friends." I tell them.
They nod and both kiss Hermione on the forehead and she has a smile on her face I could feel the peace rolling off her in waves, "We will be dining at seven dont be late" Alice says.
We floo out and gather our belongings putting them in Hermiones undetectable extension bag and check out. We then meet Fred and George at Fluresteen ice cream and the anger and protectiveness in there eyes couldnt be missed and they took her in there arms. "What happen little Angel?" Fred asked.
George looks at me over her head and we take a seat they sat her protectively in a bench between them. I go and get them chocolate me mint chocolate chip and her michigan deer trax and we sit. "Who do we need to kill for hurting our sweet little angel?" he asks.
Hermione is loving the attention the twins are giving her but I could see in her eyes her independent streek was fighting against her. "We were able to wake up Alice and Frank Longbottom and then St. Mungous tried to press charges a wizard grabbed her. Broke six bones in her arm. Alice gave her some skelegrow and she has to be in that sling for the rest of the month" I explained to them.
Fury was going through them we had gone fifteen years without Hermione and day one she is already hurt. "The Longbottom's are pressing charges. And, they legally adopted me so I am now Hermione Alice Jean Longbottom." she says with the biggest smile on her face. "So any word on your dad?" she asks them.
Fred nods, "We took your advice and wrote to Amelia. She said that she rushed him right to St. Monugus and they gave him a flushing potion says mother wont know telling her they sent him on a trip for a week to make sure all the potions are out of his system. Said that we might be taken away. I have no doubt mom will fight to keep Ginny and Ronald always been her favorites, but Percy already moved out and he is working as an unspeakable now its actually how we got the info before." I had wondered but didnt ask.
George takes over, "And, Charlie is happily working with his dragons and Bill is working at Gringotts so they wont have to worry about them. I just dont know where we will go we have to wait till next year to get the joke shop and we wont have anywhere else to go except our aunt Muriell's" he says sadly.
I shake my head and smile, "You will have someplace to go, Sirius has been deemed free so your always welcome to come to Grimmland Palace, and I bet Hermione's parents would be more then delighted to have you with them. Your one of our best friends along with Neville and Luna and possibly Draco" I tell them.
They grin, "Thanks mate" they says in unison.
We talk a bit longer and make plans to meet up and bring Neville when we go shopping for our school supplies they each kiss Hermione on the forehead and floo away. We floo to Longbottom manor and Neville offers to show us around. "Mind if I have a minute before we start Nev?" I ask. He nods and they walk out of the room. I grab my magical mirror that connects to Sirius's. "Sirius Black" I say.
Soon before me is my beloved and alive godfather, "Hey Pronglette" he says with a smile. I was about the give him life changing news and I couldnt wait to share it with him, and then I would get the start of my new family outside my dark family. And, I couldnt wait for it to begin!
AN:/ See what did I tell you dont mess with the Longbottom family they mean busniess. Woo the love the drama the protectiveness in this chapter it was just amazing! I know many of you are asking if they will become amigus the answer is yes. I was thinking Harry and Hermione could take after James and Lily and become a buck and Doe, Neville would become a lion, Luna an otter, and the twins foxes! Let me know in the reviews what you think they should be. Next Chapter Sirius gets told the news and everything goes to hell and the reason Severus was in the will to take Harry will also be revealled. Stay tuned!
