Levi typed on his laptop, pretending to work while he kept an eye on Eren Yeager. He settled on the kitchen island, 'working' while he drinks his tea.
Eren was cursing while he played his video game. It seems that the brunette Alpha was frustrated on his opponent or a level that he was able to fill the house with a heavy scent of pine and rain.
Levi's aware that the Alpha's aggression wasn't meant for him but the scent was strong enough to force anyone into submission. But not Levi.
He's had high tolerance with dominating scents. It was years of practice and training to help his instincts stood their ground. With his excellent combat skills, Levi's Omegan instincts were leaning more into fight than flight.
"Fuck!" Eren hissed as he gripped the controller in his hands. "Die already!"
Levi stood and walked towards the Alpha. Eren was fuming with rage alright and the raven Omega feared that he'll rip the stitches on his head if his head was too hot.
The screen showed the huge text- Game Over and Eren was in a rage that he almost threw his controller on the TV if Levi didn't rest his hand on his shoulders.
"Easy, there," Levi comforted.
"Ugh, I just can't pass that boss!" Eren growled, his green eyes were glaring on the screen and Levi felt like the screen would melt.
"It's just a game. Breathe or you might rip the stitches on your head."
Eren was silent with shock. He craned his neck to looked up at the raven with horror in his eyes. "Is that possible?"
"Well, other people burst a nerve on their head. So, maybe?" Levi teased but his voice was downright serious.
Levi enjoyed how Eren's face morphed into utter shock and horror. The raven could keep going if he wanted to make the Alpha miserable but that's just too cold. He chuckled. "I'm just joking."
"Really?"
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean that anger would do you good, especially in your situation."
"I know..." Eren sighed and Levi didn't miss when he slightly winced in pain.
"Another headache?" Levi asked, running his hand gently on the Alpha's brown hair.
"Yeah, but it's okay," Eren inhaled deeply. "I can handle it."
"You should take your pain meds, just in case it would get worse later," Levi went to get his meds, all were arranged neatly in Tupperware. Taking a pain killer and a glass of water, he went back to the Alpha.
Eren obediently took the pill and gulped down the water. Levi took the glass and ran a hand on Eren's forehead, pushing his bangs off his eyes.
"Thank you," Eren whispered, calmer and relaxed than he was before.
"Just for you, darling."
"Are you still working?"
"I'm almost done. I'm just gonna make a phone call."
"Okay," Eren nodded.
Levi studied him for a moment. Though they're living together Levi still wanted some space for himself, it's not that he hated Eren's presence but it's just his introvert side talking. Eren was expecting to spend time with him and wanted all the attention for himself. He was not a handful but more like, Levi didn't want to get too attached. It didn't help that he felt a little something for the brunette. He had to remind himself that he's doing his job.
Eren exited his game, turned off the tv and consule, and started scrolling on an online store on his phone.
Levi walked back to his laptop and send an email to Hange.
Levi: I need something else to keep Eren entertained.
Hange: Wha? Is the PS5 not enough?
Levi: It somehow triggered his anger issues. He almost threw the controller on the tv.
Hange: Well, that's shit. He's crazy after all. How about... A dog?
Levi's face's scrunched up in distaste. He never fancy pets or animals in general. In his defense, they're little creatures that had the power to make a mess and could be annoying as hell. Just like children.
Levi: Are you serious?
Hange: A service dog, Levi. We can also train the mutt to protect Eren when he's in danger or when other people try to approach him.
Levi hummed. He stole a glance at Eren who was also glancing at him. When their eyes met, the brunette gave him and cheeky smile and covered the screen of his phone. Levi knew that the Alpha had been window shopping online, he could've bought something weird. Whatever it was, the raven would know.
Levi: That's not a bad idea. But what about taking the dog on walks. We have to leave the house then.
Hange: It's fine. We got the whole neighborhood covered!
Levi idly tapped his fingers on the kitchen counter. He wasn't underestimating Kenny and Hange's security and protection but Levi hated going outside. Call him a house cat who never dares to let the rays of the sun touch his skin.
A notification popped up on the corner of his screen. It showed what Eren had bought over online and it seems like it was going to be delivered today.
A bouquet of red roses with a custom letter that says: Thank you for everything. I Love You, Levi
Levi inhaled sharply and he glanced at Eren. The Alpha was wheeling around the house, his phone in his hands while he watched a tutorial of how to maneuver the wheelchair effectively.
The raven Omega sighed and opened Eren's medical documents, taking note if the brunette had any allergies to fur animals. When he discovered that the Alpha was not allergic to dogs, he went back to Hange and sent her his decision.
Levi: Okay, we're getting Yeager a dog.
Hange: Oh?! What's the sudden change of heart?
Levi: Eren's playing with his wheelchair.
Hange: That sounds fun.
Levi: Shut up and get the dog. When I said get the dog, that also included- food, toys, and other dog stuff.
Hange: You betcha!
"Jean!" Marco called out to his boyfriend down in the basement. "We have a rush order and delivery!"
The Alpha with two-toned hair looked up from his work and groaned. Outside, Wall Rose looked like an ordinary flower shop that sells and delivered flowers but behind that, they also sell and deliver drugs.
And Jean hated it. He wanted to be in the clean-up crew or a bodyguard for their debt collectors. Jean didn't like arranging flowers but Grisha and Marco said he was good at it and they insisted that he should stay in the flower shop. If he wasn't delivering flowers or drugs, he's stuck in the cool basement arranging bouquets.
No matter how much he hated the job, he did it anyway because it made Marco so happy. And when a customer left a good review, the freckled Omega would jump for joy. Who knew this freckled angel was also a drug dealer.
Jean looked over his phone and checked the rush order. A bouquet of red roses. That's a simple one and Jean was able to make it in less than five minutes.
Going upstairs, Marco was already waiting for him with his helmet. He gasped. "You made the bow?! It's beautiful!"
"Yeah," Jean shrugged and fixed the bow.
Marco attached the letter and helped him wear his helmet. Jean stared at the letter where Marco wrote down with his excellent calligraphy skills.
*Thank you for everything. I Love You, Levi *
Jean scoffed.
The two-toned Alpha walked up the porch of a cozy-looking house. Jean almost wanted to turn back when he went through several security checks before entering the neighborhood.
It was a hassle for just one bouquet of roses with a letter. He's been in an awful mood lately since Eren got caught by Reckon. He knew his childhood friend's an idiot for playing with Reckon and for some reason, Jean's worried for him. Of course, he won't say it out loud.
Pushing the doorbell, Jean patiently waited. It's been several weeks since Eren was caught, he heard that he was transferred to another team and Armin couldn't hack their files. He wanted Eren to return and punch him right in the face for being an idiot-
The door opened and Jean forced a smile. Only for his smile to drop as he looked down at the beaming Alpha with brown hair in a wheelchair.
"Thanks, man!" Eren beamed and took the bouquet.
Jean gaped at his friend. "Eren?"
"Yeah, that's me. Ah, do you need my signature?" Eren tilted his head on the side.
"Um, yeah," Jean took his clipboard that he placed on his armpits and gave Eren his pen.
Eren accepted the pen and he paused. Blinking at the line on his order slip. Lost.
"Eren?" A cool voice call from inside. "Who is it?"
"Nothing!" Eren panicked and scribbled 'Eren Ackerman' before giving everything back to Jean. He smiled at him before closing the door.
Jean stood there with his jaw hanging.
