Piper arrived in a massive building Super Brainz called the "Brainz Lair of Justice" She was amazed.

"Say what you want about zombies, Kernel" She thought. "Some REALLY know how to decorate." There was a large computer in the back showing a bird's eye view of Zomburbia, a shelf filled with a plethora of gadgets, a picture of Dr Zomboss and a massive statue of Super Brainz standing triumphantly over a Peashooter bound similar to the way Piper was being held.

"Impressive, isn't it?" Super Brainz asked. Piper couldn't help but nod as she took it all in. She was taken into a smaller room and forced into a chair. Her binds where removed but she had a feeling something would be preventing her from using an sort of attack to escape. She looked at Super Brainz, who was adjusting one his gloves. He turned to the ghost pepper.

"Now stay still, plant" He said, pulling out some kind of wire. Piper stared, puzzled, at the zombie. He wrapped thing around her head and pressed a button. A massive portal opened suddenly and Piper yelped in surprise. The vortex began to suck the plant in as she desperately struggled to break free. She was eventually swallowed by the portal and flung into darkness.

Super Brainz tugged on the wire as the portal was reduced to a tiny dot. Satisfied, he walked out of the room and plugged the other end to the massive computer. A metallic clanking sounded and Super Brainz turned to see Ares approach him. His black, sleek metal body and spartan helmet reflected the light of the computer as he said, "I see the artifact was successful." The zombie super hero nodded and said, "The Gnomiverse can upgrade the Mind-Wire by loads, allowing us to SEE the memories of the victim." He pushed a button and a series of clips played on screen.

"Piper, you're a ghost. You can't grow." An irritated looking corn said.

"Oh yeah! I can wear this forever! YAY!" The plant's voice sounded as the camera spun in a circle. Super Brainz fast forwarded the clip and was soon staring at the top secret data of the Zombie Revival machine.

"She has seen our plans." Ares noted in a lifeless, robotic voice. "It is good that you have captured her before she escaped."

"It wouldn't have mattered either way" Super Brainz said. "Dr Zomboss already deployed an army buffed by the machine. The plants will learn of this soon enough."

"Still, this must remain a secret." Ares said. He approached the computer and stuck his finger into a slot.

"I shall take this video back to Dr Zomboss. He will be pleased with your work."

"For the good of zombie kind" Super Brainz said, feeling satisfied that he once again saved Zomburbia. Suddenly, he remembered something.

"Wait!" He called. Ares turned. "What of the Ghost Pepper?" Ares paused for a moment before answering.

"Leave her." Super Brainz nodded and pressed a button. The Mind-Wire retracted to into his belt and the portal shut completely, stranding the plant on the other side.

Phillip was getting desperate. The battle was taking a turn for the worst, the zombies approaching the gym every step. The evacuating was taking longer than anyone had hoped. Mia desperately tried to stall a zombie All-Star as it charged the fleeing humans. Phillip fired his Chili Bean Bomb, sending the zombie flying backwards. He simply got back up and continued to attack. Phillip knew this was a losing battle. He turned back to see the gym mostly empty. The remaining plants could fortify the entrance, giving the remaining humans a chance to exit out the back. After weighing out all his options, Phillip ran to a fallen Z-Mech, jumped on it and shouted,

"Fall back! Fall back!" He paused to push back several zombies before continuing.

"Fall back! Fa-!"

"NO!" Phillip turned to see an orange blur plow through the first line of zombies. It bounced backwards and unfolded, revealing an orange with a mohawk made of leaves, a pair of shades and a sick looking blaster. "Hold your positions!" He called as he fired at the zombies. A rocket raced towards him but he blocked it with a shield projected by his blaster cannon. Mia poked her head from behind the Z-Mech and said, "Is..is that Citron?" Phillip turned to his nightcap friend and said, "Who?"

"You DON'T know him?! He's an orange that came from an alternate timeline in order to help us. He is the BEST of all the plants and my inspiration!" Phillip stared at his friend, who seemed absolutely awestruck by Citron's skills in combat. Then Phillip noticed something. When Citron vanquished zombies, they actually stayed down. Citron blew a zombie footsoldier's head off, which looked really confused to why that happened, and said, "Attack!" The retreat turned into a charge, while none of the plants actually killed any zombies, they pushed them back to the edge of the parking lot. Phillip raced over to Penny and began to power her back up.

"Systems online. Welcome Phillip." She chirped.

"Penny, get the Kernel, tell him that the refugee center is under attack. The humans made it out safely but the zombies are seemingly invincible."

"Message sent" Penny stated. Phillip nodded and rejoined the fight.

Dr Zomboss was watching the battle from a bird's eye view on a computer in his office. The plants seemed to have pushed his minions back but he didn't care. His machine worked, the zombies weren't dying to the plant's defenses. Although, he did notice one plant seemed to wipe out any zombies that attacked it. It was an orange with some super futuristic vibe to it. This puzzled the Doctor. Before he could do anything else, Ares entered the room.

"Sir, the Gnomish Artifact has proved to be successful as an interrogation device. We have located the plant behind the breach in the Z-Tech headquarters." Zomboss turned and said, "Good. Show me." Ares plugged his hand into a slot in the desk and the computer switched from the battle to a series of video clips. Dr Zomboss nodded, satisfied, as he watched a corn brief the plant about her mission.

"Rewind to last month" He ordered.

"But sir, nothing containing the motives behind the breach are there." Ares said.

"I don't care about the breach anymore." The computer flashed between images as the video began to rewind.

"Stop." Dr Zomboss said. The video showed an orange talking to the corn and a peashooter in battle armor.

"So what's like being from the future?" The Ghost Pepper asked as the camera zoomed in on the orange. Zomboss paused the video.

"Analyze this, Ares." Ares stared at the image for a while before saying, "That is Citron, an orange from an alternate timeline where you won without resistance. Because of this, you never needed to build machines such as the Zombot, Z-Mechs or the Zombie Revival Machine. Therefor, he is unaffected by anything that would weaken a normal plant." Zomboss nodded. That would explain it was defeating his invincible zombies.

"Call for the zombies to retreat. Let the plants have this victory." He ordered. Ares nodded and left the room.
