I do not own the vampire diaries.
"Where do you think you're headed off to, lovely Elena?" Elijah asked, causing the attention to go to Elena.
"Out." Elena stated.
"I'm afraid that won't be possible." Elijah said sternly.
"And why not?" Elena challenged.
"Let's drop the act where you pretend you're not going to run straight into Klaus's arms." Katherine deadpanned.
Elena let out a sharp laugh that sent chills down their spine.
"It's better than being here with all of you." Elena spat.
The group shared a knowing look before Damon grabbed Elena's arm and dragged her to the cellar.
"What the hell." Elena shouted as Damon threw her inside the cellar.
Damon only gave her a small frown as Stefan arrived by his side with concern etched on his face.
"Let me out." Elena demanded.
"We're just trying to help you, Elena." Stefan said.
"I don't need your help!" Elena snapped.
"Someone's in a bad mood." Damon quipped.
"Shut up." Elena said bitterly.
Oh, how badly Elena wanted to wipe that smug look off of his face. She yearned to hurt them the way they hurt her.
The two brothers stared at her with emotions Elena couldn't comprehend before they left her alone in the cold, dark, empty cellar.
"How is she?" Caroline asked, seeing the brothers walk towards them.
"Not happy." Stefan sighed.
"I should go talk to her." Bonnie said, looking worried for her friend.
"Bad idea." Damon warned, watching Bonnie walk off.
"I'll go with her." Caroline stated, going after Bonnie.
Damon rolled his eyes before sitting down on the couch with a sigh.
Elena was on the wall with her knees to her chest. The longer she was away from Klaus, the more she felt it. The overwhelming need to be at Klaus's side. She tried to ignore it since she couldn't exactly get out, but it got stronger with every passing moment.
Elena slowly lifted her head as she saw Bonnie walking near her.
"Hey Elena, How are you doing?" Bonnie asked.
"Like you care." Elena scoffed.
"She does care, we all do." Caroline said as she walked into the cellar shivering.
"Then let me out." Elena said dryly.
"Elena, you know we can't do that." Bonnie said sadly.
"Then leave. I don't want to be around any of you." Elena said harshly.
"You don't mean that." Caroline said dismissively.
"Oh, but I do." Elena chuckled.
"Why are you acting like this?" Bonnie asked, completely bewildered.
"Because I hate all of you." Elena said venomously.
"Why?" Caroline asked.
"Is that even a question?" Elena cackled, starting to stand up.
Bonnie shifted uncomfortably, as Elena inched towards her. Caroline sensed something was extremely wrong, but she couldn't figure out what it was. Elena slowly leaned towards Bonnie's ear.
"This is for Jeremy." Elena whispered as she quickly pulled out a silver knife.
Caroline's eyes widened in shock before rushing over and grabbing Elena's wrist, stopping her from plunging the knife into Bonnie's heart. Elena winced and dropped the knife due to Caroline's tight grip, while Bonnie looked at Elena with tears in her eyes. Had Elena actually tried to take her life?
"Go! I got this." Caroline said, snapping Bonnie out of her thoughts.
Bonnie slowly nodded and left the cellar without saying a word.
"What is wrong with you!"
"There's nothing wrong with me."
"You tried to kill Bonnie. Your best friend!"
"Don't you dare call that bitch my friend!"
Elena paused as a feeling of wrongness overtook her. The feeling had faded as quickly as it arrived. Elena tried to figure out why she had gotten that emotion, but it was as if something was fighting her on it. She got snapped out of her thoughts by a very disturbed Caroline.
"This is Klaus's doing, isn't it? Please tell me you don't honestly mean that Elena."
"This has nothing to do with my owner. This is how I truly feel about all of you."
"What did you just call him?"
"My owner."
"Do you know how crazy you sound?"
"I don't see what's crazy about me admitting that I belong to Klaus."
Caroline just looked at Elena speechlessly, before walking out of the cellar and closing the door.
"We need to fix Elena." Caroline announced, walking into the living room.
"What happened?" Stefan asked.
"She almost killed Bonnie and said that she belonged to him as if it was no big deal!" Caroline exclaimed.
"That's the blood bond, not Elena." Katherine explained in a jaded tone.
"Elena said something before she was about to..." Bonnie stopped abruptly when she heard a scream.
Elena's eyes closed practically begging sleep to take her.
'Elena, come to me.' Klaus's voice commanded.
Elena's eyes popped open in shock, she still had not gotten used to hearing his voice in her head.
'Do I want to be by Klaus's side?' She asked herself.
Elena quickly forced that thought out of her head, of course, she wanted to be by his side. She loved him with all of her heart. Elena desperately searched the dark cellar for something, anything she could use to get out. Elena stood up and sighed realizing the cellar was empty.
'I can't.' She thought back hopelessly.
Elena stood there in the dark waiting for Klaus's response when an unbearable pain rattled her whole, causing her to fall to the floor with a dreadful scream.
The group rushed to the cellar after hearing Elena scream. Only to find Elena violently shaking on the floor.
"Oh god, Elena!" Caroline exclaimed, running up to her, unsure of what to do.
"What's wrong with her?" Stefan asked by Elena's side.
Elena's shaking came to a halt signifying that she had lost consciousness.
"A consequence of the blood bond." Elijah stated, looking down at Elena.
"Consequence?" Stefan asked.
"She didn't do what Klaus asked of her, now she's paying the price." Katherine said with a small smile on her face.
"You're enjoying this." Caroline scoffed, shaking her head in disbelief.
"Bonnie, what did Elena say to you?" Damon asked curiously.
"She said this is for Jeremy." Bonnie repeated.
"Why would she think Jeremy would want you dead, aren't you two dating?" Damon asked.
Bonnie nodded, thinking hard about the situation.
"Could Klaus trick Elena into thinking that we did something horrible to her?" Bonnie asked.
"It's possible." Elijah stated.
"That would explain why she hates us." Caroline added.
"I'll stay with her until she wakes up." Elijah declared.
"Why?" Damon asked being completely repulsed by the idea.
"She's more likely to open up to me than any of you." Elijah asserted.
"He's right if she hates you, she wouldn't tell you a thing." Katherine commented.
Damon scoffed and stormed out of the cellar. He noticed Stefan following behind him, but he didn't care enough to stop.
