Authors Notes: And we're back with Possible Hero 6 Mission Athena, now we pick up the action with Kim going through an identity crisis. How will our heroes recover from this. Well lets begin.

:A friend in need:
Things in Middleton are taking its toll on its heroes even the visiting heroes from San Fransokyo. Kim Possible is facing an identity crisis after losing her ability to be the best at everything whilst her new friend Athena shines to the top instantly. On top of everything else she has taken her frustration out on her friends Big Hero 6. So now the question is. What else could possibly go wrong?
Bueno Nacho:
The following afternoon while Kim and Ron were at school. Hiro, Gogo, Fred, Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Baymax and Mini Max were at a booth in Bueno Nacho. Hiro had just finished telling his friends about Dr Vivian Francis Porter and her connection to Tadashi.
"Wait so Dr. Porter knew and dated Tadashi?" Wasabi said in surprise.
"Yeah she used to live in San Fransokyo, and was there during my first year of High School." Hiro explained.
"OH!" Honey exclaimed smacking her head. "Now I remember where I heard her name before! Tadashi told us about her when we first met!"
It then dawned on Gogo and Wasabi too. "Oh yeah I remember now, she was the one who moved overseas to university." Gogo recalled.
"Yeah still hard to believe we almost didn't recognise her." Wasabi realised.
"Uh guys, you know I'd totally hate to be the wet blanket in this revelation but, are we forgetting that our friend Kim Possible is going through a major identity crisis sitch!" Fred then pointed out which did put a rather guilt ridden mood on the rest of the team.
Baymax took a scan of each of them. "Your neurotransmitter levels indicate. That you have a sense of guilt."
"Yeah cause we do Baymax." Wasabi said. "We've been so caught up in this drama over people seeing Big Hero 6 outside of San Fransokyo, we didn't see she was having a hard time too."
"I kinda feel bad about this whole thing." Gogo had to agree.
"We said she forgot what it means to be a friend. I guess we all have in some way." Honey Lemon realised.
"Kims lack of achievements at her usual level. Can often be attributed to. Loss of confidence. Intimidation of another's greater ability and doubt." Baymax diagnosed.
"Well I know you guys don't want me to go on my usual comic rants but…." Fred began. "At some point even superheroes go through an identity crisis like doubts from the people their supposed to protect or even harsh comments in the media by some mogul."
"Yeah one that a certain Bonnie and Shego fall into the category of." Gogo reminded.
"Exactly, but if theres one thing that comic books have taught me. Is that even if the hero is down that shouldn't stop them, when they find the spur to continue their righteous heroics they can rise from the ashes and be better heroes!" Fred then said dramatically.
Everyone was rather surprised. For once Freds comic book wisdom actually started to make sense. Even they had to admit they faced an identity crisis themselves once upon deciding whether they should still be Big Hero 6 considering what happened with Callaghan and the original Baymax.
"That actually makes sense." Gogo said surprised.
"Yeah well said Fred." Hiro agreed.
"Truly inspiring words!" Mini Max agreed.
"Well hopefully this might help Kim with getting her spark back." Honey said pulling up a small box from her seat.
"Whats in there?" Hiro asked.
"Oh it's something me and Monique worked on. Its a surprise." Honey said. Then her phone vibrated she looked at it and it was a text from someone.
"Oh it's Athena." Honey said. "She's won the most impressionable Freshman of the year award and she's inviting us to attend the assembly."
The rest of the group looked a little unsure of how to react to that. They knew how Kim felt about the whole sitch with Athena at the moment. However at the same time they couldn't decline a friends invitation.
"Should we go?" Wasabi said a little unsure.
"Guys Athenas our friend and we should also go to be there for Kim, thats what friends do." Hiro reminded.
"But don't you have your work today with Vivian?" Honey asked.
"Nah after she brought me home from the Robot Rumble she said she needed to go over some data and schematics, so there wouldn't be much for me to do so she gave me the day off." Hiro explained.
"Those who suffer a loss. Require support from friends and loved ones." Baymax agreed.
"Baymax is right, no matter what we're Kim is still our friend. At least we can try and talk to her about this drama." Gogo agreed.
"Yeah and to keep a close eye on Athena." Fred said to which everyone groaned in response.
"Uh something I should know about?" Hiro asked.
"Come on we'll tell you guys on the way." Wasabi explained as they got up from the booth after their lunch and headed down to Middleton High.
Middleton High School:
Meanwhile down at Middleton High the bulletin sign stood with the words Assembly required written on the front. And as Students went about their usual routines an announcement sounded off.
"Attention people listen up!" Barkins voice called. "During last period today we'll be holding an all school assembly we will honour our star student Athena, with the first. Ever. Most promising Freshman of the year award!"
Kim was walking down the hallway now dressed in a baggy grey shirt with a pastel blue bobby hat and her normal blue pants and white sneakers. The moment she heard that announcement she just had a look of disbelief cross her face.
In class it wasn't much better. Whilst she sat at her desk Kim checked her phone. It was open on a Villinstagrm page and there was an article all about her titled 'washed up heroes.' Apparently her freaking out over electric eels had reached every supervillain in the entire world. There was even a small article regarding Big Hero 6, even some comments about them being outside the city. And even some villains speculating about their team up being a mess up. This didn't help Kims moral one bit.
There was worse to come. For as Barkin passed by he snatched away her phone given the no phones policy. Then handed back her test with her grade. When she looked at it however it was marked 'F'. She was all but fed up now her grades were dropping, this was the last straw.
Some minutes later she was leaving the school via the main entrance with he school bag in hand. Monique and Ron weren't too far behind her.
"Hey Kim hold it!" Monique called.
"Yeah KP schools not over yet." Ron called.
"I'm ditching!" Kim called back. "I can't even get good grades anymore everything's changed!"
Monique and Ron stood in front of her to try and stop her. "Hey hold it girl! I know your going through a tough time right now but ditching ain't gonna solve anything." Monique tried.
"Yeah I'm not gonna lie its been a rough few weeks, and things haven't been great between you and the guys but…" Ron then tried. "Your still my best friend, and pals support pals. Always."
"Uh huh always." Rufus agreed scurrying from Rons pocket onto his shoulder.
Kim did try to crack a smile at Rons encouragement. "I think I know where you two are going with this."
"Athena's our pal too." Ron reminded. "We helped her when she was down in the dumps and our help paid off. She's amazing now, so we should be there to cheer her on."
"Yeah he's right girl, and she's not the only friend you need to be there for." Monique reminded. Kim knew who she was talking about. "You and those Big Hero friends of yours have a lot to talk about, you helped them be better just like Athena. So let's go cheer the new girl on then you can apologise to them about what you said."
Kim knew deep in her heart that her friends were right. Athena was her friend and she helped her find the confidence to succeed. Despite her own drama that she was going through right now. Not to mention she had more than a few fences to fix with, Gogo, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, Fred, Hiro and Baymax. So she looked at her friends with her decision.
"So we're going to this assembly?" Kim asked.
"Yeah we owe it to her." Ron agreed and Rufus nodded and squeaked in agreement.
"Besides, it be great if she had her hero to cheer her on." Monique agreed.
Kim gave one last sigh before she did give off a small smile. "Fine." She said.
"BOOYAH!"Ron and Rufus cheered. And with that the four friends headed back inside to the assembly hall which was also the football field.
As all the students in the school gathered on the school football field on the seats laid out on the grass. Hiro and his friends later arrived and headed for the rafters around the football field.
"So Freds become suspicious about Athena?" Hiro questioned.
"Yeah apparently because she's a fast learner and is just about as good as Kim." Wasabi said.
"No-one gets as good as Kim overnight I'm telling you something doesn't smell right!" Fred exclaimed.
"Come on Fred don't you thing your over exaggerating a little?" Honey tried with a cringing smile on her face.
"I don't over exaggerate!" Fred argued much to everyones raised eyebrows. "Okay maybe a little but not about this!"
Whilst they spoke Hiro was thinking, Freds little conspiracy theory did make him wonder about Baymax's corrupted scanning data and from their first mission with Athena.
Flashback to Chapter 4:
"I shall scan you now for injury." Baymax said and began scanning Athena however halfway through he suddenly glitched up.
"Scan…scan..scan.." Baymax glitched to which Hiro noticed.
"Baymax?" Hiro said as he looked at his robot friend.
The healthcare robot ceased glitching and looked to his friends. "My scanner is malfunctioning."
Moves to chapter 5:
He went ahead and clicked on the scanning file of Athena but when he attempted to do so, a sign popped up saying. "Data Corrupted." Much to his surprise.
"What?" Hiro breathed. "I don't get it, if the scanner is fine why is this data corrupt?"
Present day:
"Come on Fred don't you think this has gone too far?" Wasabi doubted.
"Actually." Hiro said aloud getting their attention. "Maybe he hasn't gone far enough."
"Exactly!" Fred said getting in his friends faces before snapping back to reality. "Wait what?" Everyone looked to Hiro and saw the look he had on his face. One that they recognised all too well indeed.
"Uh oh, Hiro you've got that look in your eyes again." Wasabi realised.
Baymax looked at Hiro's eyes with his scanner and finger torch. "Hiro's eyes are very healthy."
"Its an expression Baymax." Gogo explained then turned to the young genius. "Hiro. Explanation. Now."
"Well, I ran a diagnostic on Baymax's scanner while at the space centre. But it showed his scanner was working fine the whole time." Hiro explained.
"What?" They all said.
"But then why did it glitch when he scanned Athena?" Honey Lemon wondered.
"I don't know." Hiro then pulled out of his hoodie pocket a certain glasses case. "So I had Vismax look over the data and get this it was altered to look like a corrupt file. One made by a Micro jammer."
This had just gotten everyone more confused than ever before. Gogo however was starting to get the picture. "But that place was a nerogenetics lab and I didn't see one in that lab?"
"Maybe one of the drones did?" Wasabi guessed.
"No. Upon my scan of the Synthodrones during the fight." Baymax then showed a scan of the Syntho Drones. "The drones did not contain a Micro jamming device of any kind."
Though they wouldn't admit it to Fred. His little conspiracy theory was starting to have some credibility. With facts to back it up. Even Fred was more than surprised.
"So what does this mean?" Wasabi wondered.
"I don't know." Hiro admitted. "Listen guys I gotta check and see if Vismax finished decoding the file. I'll meet up with you later."
"Okay but hurry back." Honey said as the young genius then headed off inside the school building. Down on the lower rafters Kim, Ron and Monique each took their seats ready to cheer their friend on.
Meanwhile:
Hiro had found Kims locker and luckily it was open so he could use the computer inside a few keystrokes he turns it on, then placed his glasses on his face.
"You there Vismax?" Hiro asked and Vismax surged into life.
"Hello Hiro, I have completed the decrypting of the data from Baymax's scanning data base." Vismax greeted.
"Great can you show it on this computer?" Hiro asked.
"Certainly." Vismax said as she projected the data onto the computer screen itself.
However what Hiro saw came as quite a shock. He looked at the data twice over but it was still the same. He just couldn't believe what he had seen.
"Wait th..this can't be right?" He said in shock. "This means…" Suddenly a huge clunk knocked him over the head and he collapsed to the floor. Vismax dropped off his face and onto the floor.
Someone stood over the unconscious genius and started to pull him away from the locker. Leaving Vismax behind.
Outside on the football field:
The ceremony was well underway by now as all the students had taken their seats on the rafters. Including Kim, Monique, Ron, Gogo, Honey Lemon, Wasabi and had just arrived on stage and took her seat. Mr. Barkin then stood up to the stage as he began to give his speech.
"Alright attention students, settle down SETTLE!" He then called. "Now in the short time she has been here at this high school, she's earned a 5.5 G.P.A, and is a rising star on the cheer squad."
Everyone cheered at that even Kim clapped in support. Higher up in the rafters Fred whistled through his fingers as he and his friends gave their support. Whilst Baymax sat on the rafters looking for Hiro.
"Hiro has not yet returned." Baymax voiced to his friends who did look a little concerned.
"It is my great pleasure to introduce, your most promising freshman of the year….Athena!" He introduced as Athena herself stepped up to the stage.
Kim had to admit she was cheered up a little bit seeing her friend so happy. However in that moment Rufus noticed something in the sky. He poked Rons face to get his attention.
"Huh what?" He asked his naked molerat friend. Rufus pointed up to the sky and it was then Ron noticed it too.
"Uh why is there an anonymous green light coming this way?" Ron asked.
Everyone in the crowed looked a little bewildered by a strange green light coming down. Even Gogo and the others were a little bewildered. Baymax looked up and zoomed his cameras in on the object.
"Oh no." Baymax then it dispersed and turned into multiple green fire balls which blanketed the area and caused a panic among the students.
"Duck and cover people!" Barkin cried. "AIR RAID AIR RAID!"
Athena was still on stage in complete shock as was Kim then when she looked up she saw zooming into the frame was a certain hover craft in the sky. Then falling out of it was none other than Shego herself.
"Schools out kiddies!" She said sinisterly. Everyone heroes included were surprised by the vilenesses arrival. But she wasn't standing up in his hover craft was none other than Drakken himself. Who had a rather sinister looking grin on his face.
"DRAKKEN!" The heroes cried.
"Good afternoon students!" Drakken exclaimed through a loud speaker on his hover car. "Don't be alarmed. We're only here to kidnap Athena." He pointed to his victim on the stage.
"What?" Athena gasped in surprise.
Kim knew she couldn't stand back and watch this happen. So without further action she pulled out of her backpack her grapple hair dryer.
"Before she becomes so powerful! She wipes out evil as we know it!" Drakken then said.
Up in the rafters Gogo, Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Fred and Baymax watched these events unfold. "Oh no what do we do? Do we suit up and help?"Honey Lemon said rather worried.
"But if we do that'll confirm Big Hero 6 is in Middleton, and our secret identities could be exposed." Wasabi then reminded.
However they saw Kim use her grapple hairdryer to leap from the rafters and down to the stage area.
"Lets go!" Shego called as she readied her plasma blasts.
"What no! Kim help!" Athena called and on cue Kim swung down to the football ground and hurried to help her friend and kicked Shego to the ground knocking her aim off as her plasma blast missed Athena.
"SYNTHO DRONES ATTACK!" Drakken exclaimed then out of nowhere large numbers of Syntho drones came out of nowhere. Two of them were on the stage and grabbed Athena.
The drones charged forwards and Kim attacked back. However one drone kicked her back into the chairs around her. She quickly backflips away.
Gogo and the others watched from the rafters but then they came to a decision. "Okay Kim needs help suit up!" Gogo decided and used her phone to call her Skymax pod.
"Hold on what about…." "Look at this point what do we have to lose!" Gogo interrupted Wasabi.
"What about Hiro?" Fred reminded.
"He'll join us later come on!" Gogo then said and everyone hurried down from the rafters.
Kim continued to fight back against the ever increasing odds of the Syntho Drones. She kicked one away with a roundhouse kick. However another tried to attack her by swinging its large fists at her. The cheerleader dodged the attacks and was able to grab its fist in a chair then swatted it away.
All Ron could do was watch from afar as did Monique. Kim quickly kicked another Syntho-Drone away and caught another fist to then flip it over and send it crashing into another causing them to both explode Syntho goop.
"Unfair thats dirty dirty fighting!" Drakken called from his hover craft.
Athena meanwhile was now restrained in the grip of two Syntho Drones, who all but pulled her towards Shego."Okay boys, please escort Cinderella to her pumpkin." Shego said filing her nails.
However not wanting to be captured. Athena grabbed the backs of the two drones and slammed them into each other. She looked behind her and saw the green villianess. She quickly ran away only for another Syntho drone to block her path.
Shego ready with a plasma blast in hand was all but ready to deliver a blazing blow on the young hero. All were tense in this moment. All of a sudden a spinning yellow object struck Shego in the head and then catapulted into a Syntho Drones chest punching a hole in it. Speeding past and grabbing Athena was Gogo suited up for battle.
"You okay?"She asked.
"Yeah thanks." Athena breathed in relief.
Kim was rather surprised to see Gogo on the scene in her armour but the surprises weren't over yet. As a Syntho drone struck her to the ground. It was about to deliver a crushing blow. However it received a blow of its own from a certain flying red fist which blasted it straight into one of the rafters. The fist then returned to a certain armoured robot with Wasabi, Fredzilla and Honey Lemon in tow armoured up and ready to fight.
Wasabi hurried to the teen heroes side and helped her to her feet. "You good Kim?" Wasabi asked.
"Yeah guys listen I…" Kim tried but.
"Hey we can talk later right now we've got work to do." Wasabi said.
The students in the crowed were all but bewildered. Heroes from the distant city of San Fransokyo had come among them. Many of them got their phones out and took pictures. Even made some videos.
"No way its those Big Hero 6 guys." One student said.
"In the flesh!" Said another.
Monique was also rather startled she knew about Kims friends being super heroes but this was the first time she'd seen them fully armoured. She had to admit she did like the colours of the suits.
"Well well well, if it isn't Big Hero 6!" Drakken called sinisterly from his vantage point. This got the heroes attention. "Your a little far from San Fransokyo aren't you?" Drakken continued. "If I didn't know better I'd say you were here all along!"
"What can we say Drak we decided to branch out a little!" Fredzilla called back.
"And the only place you'll be going is straight back to the cell we helped put you in!" Honey Lemon exclaimed.
"HAHAHAHA Oh please! You may have bested me in your home town heroes, but here with Kim Possible you ain't got game!" Drakken teased sinisterly. He then noticed one of the heroes was unaccounted for. "Now where's the sixth stooge hiding? I was looking forward to seeing the look on his face as well when I claim victory!"
"Yeah seems to be a repeat of what happened last time at Krei tech." Shego teased as well.
The heroes realised they were still one super genius short, but they decided to not let Shego or Drakkens comments get under their skins. And it was time to send this blue mad man back to prison where he belonged.
"We'll try and make this quick!" Wasabi said as he drew his plasma blades.
"You mess with Kim and her friends. You mess with us too!" Gogo agreed drawing her mag lev disks.
The red headed teen could see despite her friends and fellow heroes exposing themselves and with the grief they had between them they were still willing to help her.
"Crush them!" Drakken ordered.
The Syntho drones charged at the heroes. Wasabi charged first using his plasma blades to slice the drones in half then performed a round house kick to knock them away. Another was about to attack from behind. But Kim managed to intercept it with a leg swipe tripping it up then tossed it into a chair.
Wasabi looked to her with a grateful smile as they continued the fight.
Honey Lemon fired chemball after chemball from her purse holding it like a gun. The drones either avoided the balls or got stuck in its goop trap. Honey could see they wouldn't let up so she tried a different tactic. She engineered a blossom coloured chemball from her purse then threw it to the ground. It exploded into smoke blinding the drones. They couldn't see. Then all of a sudden they felt something being attached to them and as the smoke cleared they saw Honey Lemon standing near one of the seats. The lead drone charged forwards only for it to be pulled backwards. The four drones were attached together by a goop chain.
"Your up Baymax!" Honey called.
Baymax then fired up his jet wings and flew towards the drones grabbing the goop chain then swung them round and around until finally he let go sending them crashing into the football posts the goo rope caught on the pole and swung the drones into each other exploding in a goopy mess.
"OH COME ON THAT IS PLAYING DIRTY!" Drakken exclaimed.
Five more drones surrounded Baymax. He diagnosed the situation and saw his rocket fists wouldn't be sufficient. So he decided to try something else. He took a running start charging towards the drones who ran towards him. Using his jet boots the armoured robot leaped into the air and flipped over the drones landing on the other side of them. Quickly he fired his right handed rocket fist and slammed one drone into a wall causing it to explode into a goopy mess. Two more approached Baymax only for him to out of nowhere perform a back flip despite his massive bulk. With help from his jet boots.
Whilst Kim was fighting back against the drones she could see the way he was fighting. It was utilising some of her cheerleading techniques. Bonnie, Terra, Hope, Marcella, Liz, Crystal and Jessica could see this too.
"Wait isn't that our cheer routine?" Liz said in surprise.
Baymax eventually fired his duel rocket fists into the remaining two drones slamming them into the football posts at the opposite end of the field. The fists returned to Baymax who had only one thing to say.
"Booyah." He said.
Kim did give off a small smile as she quickly kicked away another Syntho Drone.
Gogo narrowly ducked avoiding a blazing strike from Shego. Who then slashed at her armour which did leave a small scratch but forced the skating hero back. Athena was busy trying to avoid the Syntho drones still trying to grab her.
"Come on Shego is that all you got?" Gogo asked.
"Oh please. You know back in your home town I thought you were a challenge but here your like Kimmy still not in my league." She then fired a plasma blast at Gogo who skated out of the way of the blasts.
She needed to level the field. So she decided to use an upgrade Hiro had given her. She pressed on the red circle in the middle of her left Mag lev disk and it suddenly enlarged.
Gogo quickly swerved round and tossed it towards Shego but she ducked out of the way but the disk deflected off the rafter and sliced through the Syntho drones that Wasabi was fighting, then catapulted off the football posts. A group of Syntho drones were approaching the students who did start to panic. However the disk sliced the drone in half but the goop did splash all over a certain Bonnie Rockwaller who screamed in disgust.
"Oops" Gogo silently said innocently.
The disk then swung back round and hit Shego in the stomach catapulting her backwards. The disk returned to the armoured hero on her left wrist to then shrink back down.
"Still think I'm not in your league?" Gogo smirked.
Shego just smriked as suddenly another Syntho drone tackled Gogo away. Which then refocused her attention on a certain defenceless Athena. "Now where were we?" Shego then asked with a sinister smile.
"Kim! guys! help!" Athena called to her friends.
Baymax tried to fly to Athena but several Synthodrones piled on top of him. Honey lemon tried to use her chemball to trap Shego only for her to trip over a deflated drone and land on the ball causing her to be trapped herself.
Wasabi was still slicing through the drones until Fredzilla dropped in. "FREEEZE!" he exclaimed as he let out his freeze breath and froze the drones in place.
"Come on we gotta help her!" Wasabi then said to him. However their way was blocked by even more Syntho-drones.
"AW COME ON!" Wasabi exclaimed.
Gogo was pinned down by another Syntho Drone so she couldn't do anything.
Kim found herself surrounded by a small group of drones. She saw her friends were struggling to try and help Athena. Just then out of the corner of her eye she saw a janitors cleaning equipment on the running track. She quickly pulled out the mop from the bucket.
She swung the mop around like a staff and slammed the mop end to the ground snapping it off. Kim stood ready to fight.
"Throw it to me I can do my move!" Athena called asking for the staff.
Kim held the staff in her hand but she had yet to toss it to Athena despite others calling out to her.
"Throw it Kim!" Ron called.
"Do it girl!" Monique exclaimed.
"Toss her the staff!" Wasabi exclaimed.
"Throw it!" Honey called still trying to get out of her goop trap.
"Hurry!" Fredzilla called as more Syntho Drones pinned him to the ground in a pile.
"Throw it NOW!" Gogo exclaimed.
"Immediate action is required!" Baymax said as he tried to punch away the drones piling up on him.
"COME ON!" Athena called to her.
Despite the calls from her friends and teammates Kim didn't throw the staff and when she looks at Shego. She knew what she had to do. She twirls the staff in her hand as Ron, Athena, Gogo, Fredzilla, Wasabi, Honey Lemon and Baymax watched anxiously.
But instead of throwing it to Athena. She uses it herself slamming the tip and tried to perform a flip over the drones. It failed and she landed flat on the astroturfed field.
"Oh no." Baymax could only say. Whilst everyone else looked in disbelief whilst every student present could only laugh and record the whole epic fail on their laughed most of all Much to Kims dismay. Monique, Ron and Rufus could only cringe at this.
"Ooo" Rufus cringed.
"HAHAHAH!" Shego laughed as grabbed Athena by the arms and she struggled.
Fred looked in horror inside his suit, and he quickly looked to the restrained Baymax. "Baymax!" He called to him. "OVERDRIVE MODE!"
Suddenly the pile of Synthodrones began to rumble then blasted into the air courtesy of a newly transformed armoured robot in his overdrive looked to his friends and made his wings into his energy sword and then slammed it into the ground sending out a shockwave destroying all the drones restraining the other heroes.
Gogo got up quickly and sped over to Shego to try and help Athena only for the green villainess to let out one large plasma blast catapulting the armoured hero straight into Honey Lemon and her goop trap.
Drakken activated a tractor beam which grabbed both Shego and Athena and lifted them up to his hover craft. Overdrive Baymax flew towards them ready to slash the hover craft only for Drakken to pull out a small blaster and fired it at the robot. The blast shocked Baymax to the point where he fell to the ground powerless.
Kim gasped in horror as she heard Drakkens evil cackling. "HAHAHHAH. Well well Possible you and Big Loser 6 thought you were all that! Well not anymore!"
"SHUT IT AND DRIVE!" Shego exclaimed as Drakken began to fly the hover craft out of the area.
Kim all but in shock got up quickly and tried to follow them. Monique meanwhile helped Honey and Gogo out of the goop trap whilst Wasabi and Fredzilla hurried after Kim with Ron close behind.
The group made it to the front of the school but it was too late. Kim and the others could only watch as the hover craft with the two villains and captured friend in tow all but disappeared from ,Wasabi, Fredzilla, Gogo, Honey Lemon, Monique, Ron and a depowered Baymax could only look in disbelief.
"Weeeeee goofed!" Baymax said rather drunk as he fell to the ground.
Soon Mr. Barkin and the rest of the students at the school arrived on the scene. Barkin approached the group and looked to Possible. "Possible." He said. "I was up all night making that banner."
Gogo just looked in disbelief. "Really thats what your worried about right now!?"
Just then a certain rival of Kims pipped up. "Wow Kim, I gotta say, out of all the epic fails you've had this tops the lot." She said with a laugh. "Whatever happened to I can do anything."
Kim didn't respond to this. Gogo on the other hand was about to really let one loose. But…
"How dare you!" To her surprise Honey Lemon then spoke up. "She doesn't have to take that from you! I didn't see you trying to help! None of you did! So how about you take your snarky attitude and go elsewhere!"
Wasabi, Gogo, Fredzilla, Ron and Kim were all but taken aback they never once saw the cheerful and positive Honey Lemon act this way before. It has happened but its pretty rare.
Bonnie was all but silent the way this masked person was talking to her that way. "Well seems you so called heroes didn't do much better, some heroes but thats what happens when Kim…"
Suddenly a bright blue chemball fired from Honey's purse and splattered some sticky purple liquid all over Bonnie."GAH!" She shrieked and everyone couldn't help but laugh at that.
"Oops must've been damaged." Honey said rather surprised.
With that Barkin and the students all but headed inside the school leaving the failed heroes completely alone. Gogo then approached Honey with a slight smirk on her face.
"You did that on purpose didn't you?" She asked knowing she saw Honey secretly type a formula on her purse.
"Hmmm maybe." Honey said admittedly. They then heard Kim panting. The friends looked at her in a state of upset and it was like tears were starting to build up under her eyes. Ron could see Kim was regretting her actions, and Monique was really popped up on Rons shoulder looking genuinely concerned.
"So you mind telling us what that was all about?" Gogo immediately asked approaching her.
"Gogo!" Wasabi said in a serious tone indicating this wasn't the time for placing the blame.
However this didn't stop Kim from having a meltdown. "I blew it guys." Kim admitted sitting down on the stairs. "This was all my fault."
"No no it's not your fault." Ron said. "Okay well maybe it was a little bit."
"No your not to blame, we all messed up." Wasabi said. "We were only trying to help but we just made it worse."
"Yeah we seem to be doing that a lot lately." Fredzilla pointed out.
"But I'm the one who screwed up the most." Kim said in genuine sobs as Ron and Monique sat down to comfort her. "What was I thinking, I should've given her the bo staff." Kim finally admitted.
Which then brought up a subject that Gogo had brought up from the very start. "So why didn't you?"
The red headed teen took a while before she could answer that question. "B..because I needed to be the one who saves the day! The person I always am."
"How'd that go?" Ron then asked cringing.
"Ohh real real not great very bad." Kim said sarcastically.
Ron could only nod at that seeing how his friends attempt to go back to who she was didn't end so well. Monique on the other hand couldn't let this go on one more minute.
"Kim, why are you doing this to yourself?" Monique asked. "Your feeling sorry for yourself about one small drama, your letting Bonnie and those villains you fight play you. I get it we all go through tough times but you.. you never let that weigh you down."
Kim could see that Monique was trying to help her see what her mother and Hiro was trying to tell her the previous night.
"She's right." Gogo then said. "We heard what you, your mom and Hiro were talking about the other night, and who says you need to be the best at everything, so what if your not good at one thing."
"No one said we had to be perfect we all have things we're not good at I mean do you see Hiro or Gogo get jealous about how good I organise things cause they can't?" Wasabi mentioned.
"I thought the world was a perfect happy place but when we first met Globby I saw that it wasn't." Honey then admitted. "At one time I would have accepted the darkness. But so what if the worlds not perfect that didn't keep me from being so positive all the time."
"Your not acting like the Kim Possible we know." Fred then said speaking up. "The Kim Possible we know would never let one little thing weigh her down and she certainly wouldn't let supervillains get to her like that. She would never stand by when a friends in danger she would get back up and help, thats the Kim we know."
"The Kim who made us better heroes." Wasabi agreed.
"See they get it." Ron said and Rufus nodded in agreement.
Kim was all but taken aback by what her friends said, despite what she said to them they still stood up for her and helped her. She realised that they were right, she never let one little drama weigh her down. Sure she'd been down a few times but she always gets past it and makes things right.
"You know…you guys are right." Kim finally said. "Hiro was right…I just…I can't believe how mixed up I've been like.. just because I'm not the best at something doesn't mean. I'm not me."
Ron smiled at that notion as did Rufus and all her friends around her. "Being the best isn't who I am, its about what I do."
Just then drunk Baymax chimed in. "Thats what I like about you KP….you go down but you just get right back up… like meeeeee." He fell to the ground.
"Is uh that normal?" Monique then asked.
"Yeah its what happens when he's low on batteries." Honey assured.
"So what are we going to do?" Ron then asked.
"Yeah?" Rufus chimed in.
Kim took a moment to think, and with a new look of determination in her eyes she knew just what to do. She stood up and looked to her friends.
"We're gonna go save our friend." She said then looked to the five in front of her. "You guys in."
However despite what they said to her Gogo, Wasabi, Fredzilla and Honey Lemon were a little unsure in themselves.
"You sure you want our help?" Honey asked. "I mean we'd just make it worse."
"Yeah things are different here, we don't fit in and we know that now this ain't San Fransokyo." Wasabi said.
"But guys thats just it. It is, I'm sorry about what I said to you guys what right did I have to tell you how to act." Kim said to them. "You guys are yourselves in San Fransokyo, so be yourselves here, and if if people don't get that then they need to change not you."
"Besides no matter what your still my friends, you reminded me of that." Kim said. "So what do you say you guys in?"
The four heroes, five counting Baymax looked with genuine smiles on their faces. They could see Kim had truly risen from the ashes of her depression, and now she was telling them to do the same.
"Well." Honey said. "If we're going to help you save our friend. You should look the part." Honey Lemon then pulled out a certain box and handed it to Kim.
Kim was all but confused, but when she opened the box she couldn't believe what she was seeing. "What.. where where did you get this?"
Monique then stood next to Honey to help answer that question. "Well you have a very artistic friend named Honey Lemon."
"And a very talented fashion designer named Monique." Honey then added.
The red head teen then developed a more confident smile on her face as she looked to her friends. "Lets go."
"Hold it." Fred then said. "What about Hiro?"
"Relax I'll look for him you guys go help Athena." Monique said and with that the heroes left carrying Baymax back to the Possible house to get geared up to rescue their new friend and teammate. Whilst Monique went back inside the school to look for their missing super genius.
Drakken's Lair:
Meanwhile at the villainous lair. Drakken was all but sucking down a carton of milk to refresh himself. Since he had no champagne to celebrate his victory today either milk or coco moo would have to do.
"AH.." he said as he drunk down his fourth carton or fifth. "Shego, come and celebrate with me. With an ice cold milk!" He said opening the next carton.
Shego meanwhile was just reading a magazine in the armchair not even paying attention to Drakken's celebration party.
"Never let it be said you don't know how to party Dr. D." Shego said out of boredom.
Drakken just smiled to himself he was feeling genuinely proud of himself. "I have to admit today went better than I could have ever hoped for. Not only did I one up my teen adversary but I also showed up those Big Hero buffoons!"
Normally Shego wasn't one to agree with Drakken's boasting statements but this one time. "Heh, you know I'm always good but I felt particularly fierce."
"Oh, come on you were your usual competent self." Drakken disagreed. "But I was the most…."
"Yeah the most average maybe?" Shego then said interrupting her partner in crimes gloating.
Drakken just moved his hand in a blah blah blah like motion. Which only got Shego more ticked off. Before this went any further.
"Will you two stop arguing!" Called a voice. The two villains turned to the source.
"Excuse me?" Shego asked.
It was Athena, now in her mission wear. However she had just been captured by these villains but she didn't seem like a captive.
"I was just trying to get you attention." She said "And a little credit, after all I befriended Kim, I surpassed her in every single way, I turned her on her so call friends, and I broke her." She scoffed almost like she was the one calling the shots.
"Just like you asked me was me I did all of it"
Drakken and Shego just stood and listen to what she had to say. "She gets this from you." Drakken said very dad like.
"DON'T….Make me hurt you." Shego warned before addressing Athena.
"So what? What do you want? A gold star? A cookie? You want a h… a hug?" She asked rhetorically.
Athena just shook her head in disbelief. "No." She said. "I want to know whats next for the three of us?"
Shego and Drakken looked at each other not knowing how to answer that question."Ha… Well its um…Its a surprise." Shego tried but then Drakken took over.
"Yes, and your going to find out very soon." Drakken then said which did put a rather eager look on Athenas face.
"Oh that reminds me, seems those Big hero friends of Kim were getting suspicious of me, especially Fred. Hiro nearly blew the whistle but. No big its taken care of." Athena then said as Drakken let out a sinister laughter of satisfaction.
"Ohhh." He said rather painfully holding his side. "I think I laughed so much I pulled a muscle."
Middleton High School:
Meanwhile back at Middleton High, Monique was looking round the classrooms as other students were leaving for home. She was looking for Hiro, he didn't appear to help his team when Drakken and Shego attacked and took Athena. With his friends worried she decided to try and find him.
"Hiro." She called but no response. Just then she noticed something out of the corner of her eye on the floor. She knelt down and found a certain pair of glasses just outside Kims locker.
She looked at them and was a little confused. All of a sudden she began hearing a muffling noise and a large banging noise as well. Monique could hear that the noise was coming from down the hall, as she walked down it the noise got louder and louder. She soon arrived at the source being the janitors opened the door and much to her surprise falling out of it was Hiro. Tied and gagged at the mouth.
"Hiro?!" She gasped as she knelt down and pulled off the duck tape on Hiro's mouth which he yelped at the removal.
"OW took you long enough?" Hiro asked as Monique quickly untied him. Then helped him to his feet.
"What the heck were you doing locked in the janitors closet?" She asked.
"I.. I don't know?" Hiro said rather unsure as he rubbed his head which was in pain a little. "I was at Kims locker when...someone hit me over the head and knocked me out, when I woke up I was tied up in that closet."
"Well let me give you the 411." Monique explained. "Drakken and Shego crashed the award ceremony and took Athena, Kim and your friends have gone to try and help her."
"What?!" Hiro exclaimed. "I I gotta warn them!" He was about to run out the building but was still a bit dizzy. Monique supported him.
"Whoa whoa hold it genius, warn them about what?" She then asked.
"About Athena, she's been lying to us about who she is." Hiro explained rather serious.
Monique was more confused than ever, what was he talking about? What was Athena lying about? "Hiro what, never mind come on I'll take you back to Kims." She helped Hiro out of the building.
Possible House:The lounge:
Baymax was now on his charging station recharging his batteries. Whilst, Gogo, Wasabi, Fred, Honey Lemon, Ron and Rufus waited for Kim. She was getting ready for her mission with the little surprise Honey Lemon made for her.
A few minutes later Kim emerged into the lounge and everyone looked rather amazed by her appearance.
"Well how do I look?" She asked.
Her friends just smiled with pride as they already knew the answer to that. "Glorious." Fred breathed.
"Yeah. Like a hero reborn." Honey agreed.
For Kim was now in completely new mission gear it still sported the black shirt and green pants but with a difference. Her shirt covered her midriff and had short sleeves with a small exposed area on the upper part of her chest close to her neck, with a small circular pendant with her trademark initials carved into it. Her green pants were short at the bottoms with small criss crosses going across her lower legs. She now sported black boots with her classic belt and pouch and black gloves.
Kim had to admit she was feeling a little more confident in this new look. Her hair was no longer a mess but back to its normal state.
"And there she is." Ron said proudly. "Kim Possible back in action."
"Thanks guys." Kim said to her friends. Just then Ann and James arrived in the lounge with the tweebs.
"Kimmy." James said getting their attention.
"We heard about Athena, we're so sorry honey." Ann said.
"I know, that was uh.. that was my fault." Kim admitted. "So I'm gonna try and fix that mistake I don't know if I can but I know I'll stand a much better chance with some help." She said looking to her friends.
"We got your back Kim." Wasabi said.
"Yes this requires Mini Maximum teamwork!" Mini Max said as he flew in the lounge armoured up. And Rufus wasn't too far behind in his own armour.
"Yeah!" Rufus cheered. Kim gave a confident nod whilst Ann and James could only smile with pride. Knowing that their daughters confidence was all but restored.
Wasting no time Kim called Wade. "Wade any luck with Drakkens lair?"
"Got him he's hold up at a condemned military structure just north of here." Wade displayed a map on the Kimmunicator.
"Ten bucks says thats where Athena is." Gogo said.
"Pay the lady." Wade replied. "If I call in the right favours I can have you guys there in a flash."
"Please and thank you." Kim said. "Okay guys lets go."
"But what about Hiro?" Fred asked. "And Baymax hasn't recharged yet?"
"Don't you kids worry as soon as Hiro gets here we'll send him and Baymax to you." James said.
"Thanks dad." Kim thank with a peck on his cheek. "Lets go guys."
With that the remaining members of Big Hero 6 and Mini Max put on their helmets as they left the house to meet their ride. The question was would they reach their friend in time. Just what is Drakken's endgame and would our heroes be in time to stop it.
Authors Notes: Well Kim is back with her confidence boosted and a new look. As you can probably tell I've used the look she had from the live action film. Because in a way I like how it looked and when I drew it in the KP style (see on my tumblr) I decided to use this for the story. Besides when a hero rises from the ashes they should at least look the part.
Also, decided to have Honey Lemon finally snap at Bonnie cause having her lose her cool is a very rare thing except when it comes to her friends. Plus having the team share their own experiences of when they felt down helped Kim to understand that no one has to be perfect. But now the coming battle is on the horizon but what does Athena have to do with Drakkens revenge plot, and what does Hiro have to warn Kim about. The answer to this question will come in the next chapter which will be up sooner than you think.
Yep since we're getting close to the big finish I'm putting a hold on updating my other stories until this one reaches the finale. Until the next time BOOYAH!
