After 10 years after the match between the King of Games and Atem, Domino City opens the Stadium doors, to give new students a spot to join the prestigious school of Duel Academy island. Syrus and Jaden are contestants with dreams to achieve by passing the exam. Pairing: Jaden / Harem; Syrus / Dark Magician Girl; I took some characters from GhostKaiser23 yugioh stories :)

7. Chapter 7 - Raring to GO

Ahhhhh… My vacations are over *sad face*, only for now thou… I will still have an extra week-off starting 16th May, which for me works pretty well on the schedule I'm working on my story 😊. WHY? Because 19th May will be my birthday, and I will be 23 years old. Yeah, time flies when you're writing a story that, for you, it looks like the time just passes so fast… while you have real work, the time passes slower. That's just my meaning of 'life' I guess. But don't worry. Like I mentioned, my posting schedules might change between now four days to a week; my head also needs to rest from an 8-hour time job a day. Money is needed to survive in this society… hobby comes second (Never forget that readers…)

Anyways, I sent an email to Fanfiction services about this 'MA' category I'm still waiting for them to response if I can have it on my story. Because… yeah, "bonus episodes" for the story are a thing for a Pegi 18 story that contains both Family, Friendship, Romance and Card Games, am I right (they're not a part of the actual anime). It's literally on my NEXT chapter after this one, guys. I'm just scared that my story would get removed and/or my account will get suspended, by inserting a 'M' category and containing sexual intercourses; which is classified for MA category. But I also add, these moments will happen on either inside (chapters that happened in the anime) or bonus chapter.

Follows and Favorites. Yeah… I'm hyped for the number keep increasing once again. My motivation is growing just like the blood running inside my veins. It keeps pumping 😊😊. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen for keep following me so far. Even thou I'm still in the beginning of the story (this will be episode 4 of the anime, since I used episode 16 last chapter), my story already had more than 61k words. This is crazy for a starting writer like myself XD. But you know what they say… who runs for pleasure do not get tired.

InsaneMakaioshin: I see that you adored the 'Jaden's Harem – Return of the Supreme King', written by GhostKaiser23-shishou, just like "ore-sama", which is a plus help for me. So…

1) This special change I did on my story made it so unfortunately the roids won't return from their Magician forms. I get what you mean, on my idol writer, Dark Magician Girl told a story to Syrus about the reason why his deck was edited. For mine, they're real duel spirits with an important role too (if you saw on chapter 6, you saw the part where Dee says they are helping her). But don't worry, the 'Roids' return will return on my Seasons 2-3 (yeah boys, I'm not going to stop only with this season 1. I would be crazy if I did, right? It will only take time for me to keep writting)

2) Yes, he will. He will have them on a special moment of my story (which I don't want to spoilt it 😉). Season 3, thou…

3) Sacred Beast childs will be a challenge for me. That's because… well, if I would have to read my idol's sequel story again… I don't know what role do they have in the story, besides helping Aster to return to his own self (I'll be honest, I don't even know how he got them in the first place, it doesn't give too much attention to that). But… it's a challenge, I didn't say no. As for the wicked sisters… that's a YES, sir 😉. Season 3

4) I could take some deck ideas from a writer I don't follow, his name's YugiohFreak54. With the story "Yugioh GX: Emperor of Darkness", I can make it so Jaden and/or Yubel might use different decks/cards. Our imagination is what matters here 😊. It can guide us to different places.

5) Yes, sir, she will. Both manga and anime cards (for a good reasoning too 😉)

6) Seika… yes, she'll be on Jaden harem, season 2, and I'll edit her on my own. Because… I read the manga this soon, but I can't still find her role on my story. And I don't want to edit her deck, I'm sorry . Instead, she will take a deck I intended to give to Blair (try to guess which one 😉). Blair will have to get to say goodbye on my story (also because in safe reasons, she's 11; and because she only appears on season 3, which she gets next to the Ra Yellow Marcel). Miss Fonda… for certain reasons, I don't want to put her in Jaden's harem… instead, she will have another role on the story, partnering with another character, but I'm taking my time to think on which one. Your ideas might also help me with that, or else, it's just patience.

7) Nope, my season 3 is already scripted for a way deeper change for my story. I just want to say… Jesse Anderson, Axel Brodie, Jim Crocodile and Adrien Goka won't appear on that Season, and I do want to apologize for their fans who are reading this. Instead, I inserted other characters taking their place, including an OC character I've been working with a best-friend I talk on discord 😊.

Aaand… there's no more reviews. New chapter, the sequel just keeps going, just like a butterfly who flies from its cocoon… yep, I'm a HUGE fan of the butterfly effect. I won't be streaming these times, so all I can do now it's just enjoying at least my story. I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh GX, neither some OC characters/cards on future chapters, they're owned by GhostKaiser23.

Chapter 7 – Raring to Go!

It's been days ever since the fiasco of the Duel Giant incident. All the Obelisk Students that lost their rare cards had them already since they found them close to a stone statue near the Duel Academy school; the professor Crowler… had no information about the 'Duel Giant' true identity. Thanks to Syrus, Jaden got to have his mouth shut about the topic; he only informed Crowler that after they got a scream from an Obelisk Blue student, the Duel Giant was nowhere to be seen. And for some reason, the stolen cards were at the entry of the Duel Academy School. Syrus was there to be the alibi of the subject.

*on the west Ocean*

'Aerial Escort 2260 Eagle, here! We'll be converging with them in three minutes.' a voice could be heard from a helicopter flying over the Ocean.

'Roger, Eagle. The main ship has acquired the target in visual range'; '8030, preparing to land', other helicopters reported, flying straight to Duel Academy Island. Under the helicopters, some ships were also crossing the Ocean, going to the same destiny. Inside one of them, a military adult was holding a briefcase with the Duel Academy symbol.

"All ships re-enter alert status! We must protect this… no matter what!"

*in Duel Academy island, on Jaden and Syrus room*

Syrus woke up from his bed after his alarm started working. Since today were the Exam Writing and Dueling, he needed to get himself ready. He and Jaden have been working for that day, doing all-nights to prepare themselves. Syrus however was one to respect his own time schedule to sleep; Jaden was… sometimes overestimating his sleeping times. He was still sleeping peacefully on his bed, not aware of the Syrus alarm still ringing to wake him up.

"Come one, Big Bro… I can't really tell if you're deaf, or you just have a sleeping problem that can't let you wake up from the alarm sound." Syrus murmured to himself. While they were living under the same rooftop, Jaden was usually the one to wake up late, but today wasn't the best day for him to still keep sleeping. He would be late for the Exams.

"It's natural for him… he's a guy that makes Dueling his top priority. That's why he sometimes overdoes his time schedule, making him sleep in late hours. The latest hour he ever slept was at 5 in the morning." Yubel appeared to greet Syrus, waving at him.

"Well, *yawn*… my little bro now has a 'second' alarm he can wake up to." Dee also appeared from her morning routine, dressed in her sorceress uniform to say 'hi' to her friends.

"Ugh… I hate when this happens! Big Bro! Jay-Big Bro! Please wake up…" Syrus was now shaking Jaden's shoulder to see if he could react to that. Yubel, however was too late to advise Syrus.

"Hum… I wouldn't 'recommend' you to stay close to Jaden to wake him up…"

"Huh? Why…" Syrus wanted to ask, distracted at Jaden now… when he got a punch in his jaw and feel to the ground.

"IT'S MY TURN! … draw." Jaden shouted as he extended his fist, his right one actually uppercutting the poor guy. He switched his sleeping position.

"Syrus! Are you okay?" Dee asked him worried, now coming close to him.

"Geez! Big… Bro, your turn is over! You have monsters in defense mode!" Syrus glared at Jaden, still laid down on the floor.

"And you better let him stay like that, Syrus!" Chumley was awake on his top bunk. He actually was awake from the alarm too. "The test has you to compete in your own dorm in both a practical and written portion. Do you get it?"

"Chumley, I don't get anything coming from your logic… I just let it pass!" Syrus deadpanned at him.

"Well, Duh! What is MEAN is: all the members of Slifer Red are your enemy. And I don't want to face a student that beat doctor Crowler, which makes him a best candidate to become Ra Yellow out of all the Slifers. If we just leave him sleep like that, we'll gain ourselves an advantage, don't you see?" Chumley asked, so Syrus would agree to him. Yubel somehow listened to Chumley, and she was disappointed at him. The same occurring to Dee.

"Yeah… I see where you're going with this. You just don't care about nobody else, just you… Jay is my Big Brother, and it's my duty to wake him up in times to wake up!" Syrus explained in an angry tone. Yubel and Dee were now happy for at least having someone that cared about Jaden' responsibilities.

"Urgh… Fine! It's your choice…" Chumley said, now leaving the bed and go to the Duel Academy School. Syrus just sighed at him, wondering why they had a colleague like him. Then he turned his attention to the sleepy boy, and checked him watch: it was '07:15 AM'. That meant they still had 45 minutes for the writing exam to start, and Syrus was now… impatient.

"God… if you're here next to me… Please forgive me for the sin I'm about to commit…", Syrus murmured, the spirits curious about what Syrus was going to do. He just lungful with some air inside...

"WAAAAAKE UUUUUUUUUP!" Syrus yelled at Jaden, the last one woke up wide-eyes open with a funny scared look, and fell from his bed. The spirits had their eyes wide-open too by Syrus act; he never woke up Jaden like that before, he used to be a relaxed type. This was the first time they saw Syrus act in a rebellious way, which they actually didn't mind.

Jaden just shook his head, from the scream his friend did, and glared at Syrus, "Not cool, Sy! That's not a way to wake up a per…" he wanted to continue, but Syrus was also looking… angry at him, which actually scared Jaden for that.

"Big Bro… do you know what time is it? And at what time it starts the Exam? Or did you forget we have Exam today?" Syrus was now staring at Jaden, the last one was almost sweating to have no answer.

"Uh… Uhm… Wearing my uniform, leaving the room… GOT IT!" Jaden answered now, preparing himself to leave their room.

"And… we didn't even get to eat breakfast! Big Bro, you'll treat me with lunch today!" Syrus declared, they were now outside the room.

Dee and Yubel just looked at each other, they were still processing what just happened.

"Dee… Did Syrus just… lectured Jaden… in front of our eyes?" Yubel asked.

"By the look he had… I couldn't tell who was more frighting: Master's system of teaching me Spells, or seeing Syrus just losing his composure." Dee answered, they also decided to float behind their summoners.

During their running, they were now making questions to each other, to see how ready they were for the writing exam. Jaden started:

"Alright, Sy… Field Spells! What are they, and what do they do?" Jaden asked.

"Field Spells… are placed on the Field Spell Zone, a different place of the Spell and Trap Zone. A Field Spell purpose… is giving the entire field a special effect, while it's face-up on the field. Quite the same effect to Continuous Spells!" Syrus answered Jaden's question. His friend smiled at the answered.

"Good job, I wouldn't answer better than that!"

"That's my summoner! He's getting better at answering back any questions. I've been training him for that purpose." Dee cheered at Syrus, Yubel smirking at her while they were keep following him.

"Jaden… Monster Effects. How are they classified?" Syrus asked this time, Jaden looked at him.

"Good question… You have: monster effects that can be activated during your turn, continuous effects or effects activated during your opponent's turn. Now, for the last one, the monster effect is a Quick Effect, which means you can activate it in response to an effect of a card being activated, or activate it during each of the opponent's phases. These quick effects can also be applied during your own turn! The continuous effects on monsters don't require an activation first-hand, it's only applied while the monster stays on the field." Jaden answered with the best of his knowledge.

"As expected of an expert duelist! That's correct, Big Bro!" Syrus complimented Jaden.

"What can I just say… 'it's just the basics!'" Jaden admited, now getting close to the school. But they saw a woman pulling a van on a top hill, having some difficulty with it.

"Syrus… I might need your help on this!" Jaden looked at Syrus, his friend nodded

"We need to be fast!", Syrus informed, they were now close to the van.

"Let us give you a hand, madame!" Jaden and Syrus started pulling the van with their strength. The lady looked at them, worried.

"But you kids will be late! Don't you have a test today?"

"So, what if we're late? In my case, I can't ignore an old lady in trouble!" Jaden answered politely. "And don't worry about us. Me and Sy over here will have our problem handle, right Sy?"

"R… roger that, Big Bro!" Syrus said, pulling the van with more strength.

"Thank you, boys! Such nice kids you are!" the old lady commented.

"Don't mention it! We're both in a pinch, you know!" Jaden ended, the van going now faster and faster to their location. The spirits were looking at their summoner's behavior, with a smile.

"Geez! Jaden's really a sucker in problems like this!" Yubel murmured.

"And Syrus is really pulling that van, like he worships it… I wonder how would feel to… hug him." Dee said, with a little blush from her 'imagination'.

*sometime later*

The two Slifers entered the classroom, it was full of students of different colors in every seat row; they were doing their Writing Exam. Professor Banner was on the bottom, responsible to keep an eye for all students there. He saw Jaden and Syrus entering the room, and went now close to them.

"Jaden, Syrus! You're late for the Exam-nya." He informed them.

"We apologize, teach. We woke up in a really bad time…" Jaden tried to excuse, but he heard Syrus sarcastically coughing for his little lie. He wasn't so happy for that.

"Well, here's the papers! You guys missed 30 minutes from the exam… you better get yourselves ready-nya." Banner handed them the papers, and they went to their place. Jaden only looked at Syrus with a nervous smile.

"Next time… I'll pull YOU and your sleeves out of the bed!" Syrus murmured at Jaden, his friend was now sweat laughing. They sit on their seats and started their writing exam

From behind, a person was laughing at Jaden; it was doctor Crowler.

"Jaden had finished himself off on the written test, just as I suspected! All that remains is the practical dueling test. It will be your downfall, Faker!" Crowler laughed to himself.

*after the Writing Exam*

A loudspeaker could be heard from the Duel Island School. "The written test has now ended! In addition, the practical dueling test in the gymnasium at '02:00 PM'! We also inform we're going to have some new rare cards in the card shop."

The school doors opened, with a mass of students running with everything they had to the card shop. The only people left were Syrus, Jaden, Alexis and Bastion. The two Slifers were now resting after their writing exam; in which they didn't end so bad, the answers weren't so hard for them to answer after their days of studying REALLY hard. But after pulling a van before doing their exam… that made them get tired of doing anything else.

"Hey, you two! Wake up! The test is already over!" Bastion was shaking Syrus back; which made him wake up from his nap.

"GAH! NO… DON'T ACTIVATE THAT FACE-DOWN!" Syrus woke up from his dream, but then realized it was a dream duel… which he was losing.

"Ehehe… don't sweat it, Sy. That's why you play Counter Traps!" Jaden woke up from his nap too, laughing at his friends worried face.

"I see you guys are having fun at the time you finished the writing exam… coming 30 minutes late in first place." Alexis appeared next to the group.

"Hey! Where's everyone?" Syrus asked.

"Probably lunch time… it's already this late." Jaden answered unconsciously.

"That's why I woke you up! The test was over and they went buy new rare cards at the store." Bastion explained.

"EH? Some new rare cards? Oh no! I'm getting too nervous now! What if they become stronger than mine?" Syrus asked worried

"Don't say that Sy. You, and you know who else who have been working on your deck… EVERYDAY." Jaden smirked at his Slifer friend.

"Y-yeah… but still. I might not know just how strong those cards are… You guys are not THAT worried?" Syrus asked. Alexis answered.

"A true duelist doesn't revolve around the strongest cards, but his belief for them. If you get yourself ready for any situation, you can outmatch the opponent in no time. Just follow my example", Alexis mentioned. Jaden nodded at that, actually smiling for knowing that Alexis was someone with that kind of passion for dueling.

"Well, we could also just see just how are the others behaving themselves over the 'card hunting'. Maybe they're smacking their heads over them, and that's a sight I don't want to miss." Jaden added his idea. The group nodded and went out of the classroom.

*On the Hallway next the card shop*

"OPEN UP! OPEN UP!" The students yelled, hitting their hands to an iron door. "Hurry up and show us the rare cards!".

From behind them, a lot of armed guards ran in the same hallway, to form a fence and let the military adult holding the briefcase. "Step Back! Step Back! What you guys want… is right HERE!" the man said, showing the Duel Academy' briefcase.

All students started cheering and clapping for the new cards, the man was now opening the iron door to get inside the card shop. "And we're selling them… right now!" the man informed to the students.

"At last, the rare cards are…"

'Sold!', was the message showing in a paper inside the open briefcase.

"…not here!" the students fell back from the disappointment. "What's the meaning of this?" one of the Obelisk students asked.

"This person has purchased them all!" the card shop lady informed, pointing to a man covered in a dark suit and a dark hat. He looked like an agent.

"I've already paid the price in full." The man said with a deep voice. That made all students yell at the revealed fact. They were now in trouble for the upcoming exam.

*in the hallway*

The group was now walking to the card shop. They walked into a corner, where it made them to the card shop, and it was empty.

"Wow… that was unexpected" Alexis was the first one to talk.

"If no one's here…" Jaden continued.

"… the cards have already been bought?" Bastion asked

"Darn it with the rich kids… Why do they always get in our way?" Syrus ended, feeling anxious.

"Uhm… excuse me, miss. Wasn't supposed to be here students?" Jaden asked the shop lady on the balcony.

"Well, they all left… after buying every pack in the store." The shop lady informed.

"Huh? EVERY PACK? Aw great… just to add to my worried list!" Syrus said with his head down.

"Relax, Sy! You will win your exam duel, no matter what!" Jaden tried to console Syrus, patting his back.

"Just wait a minute!" a familiar voice came from the card shop. Jaden and Syrus knew that voice so well; it was from the old lady that they helped pulling their van.

"Ah! It's you, the ma'am from this morning!" Syrus pointed his finger to the lady.

"It's Miss Dorothy. Do-ro-thy!" the now miss informed, with a wink. Jaden smiled by seeing the familiar person.

"So, I see that you work at this store…" he said; Dorothy nodding.

"You guys are too familiar to the card shop owner?" Alexis asked them both. Syrus sweat laughed and Jaden answered.

"We decided to help her this morning before we did the exam. 'Physical morning warm-up'… right, Sy?", Jaden asked his Slifer friend. Syrus had already forgiven Jaden for the fact that they came late for the exam, so he only nodded in agreement.

"That aside, you kids, come on over here…" Dorothy hand gestured the Slifers, they now giving attention to the now lady chuckling. "I've got something that's very nice for both of you!"

*after lunch break, one hour before the Duel Exam*

Chazz and his lackies were now walking to the gymnasium, the last ones were actually with an angry look.

"Who was that guy? How dare he buy up all those cards…" the teal-haired guy said.

"We weren't able to buy a single thing…" the brown crowned hair added. "What'll we do about this afternoon's test?"

"Hmph, just keep calm. You don't need to stock up on any new cards for some dumb monthly test!" Chazz answered. "There's nobody in Obelisk Blue who can beat me, anyway."

"But what if your opponent was Jaden?" a deep voice could be heard from top of a staircase.

"Jaden… What? Who's there?" Chazz reacted to the familiar name, he then turned his head to a tall man wearing the agent-looking suit.

"Can you beat Jaden with your deck as it is?" the man with the deep voice asked again, making Chazz shiver and grit his teeth. He remembered that 'last' encounter he had with Jaden, where he 'humiliated' him. In front of his (Jaden's) friends.

Chazz lackeys recognized the man, "Ah! You're the one who bought up all the cards!" the teal hair guy recognized the man.

"All the cards, sì (yes)! Those cards are all… right HERE!" the man opened his suit, with all rare cards stuck on it.

"Just who are you?" the brown-haired student asked.

"… You students are still clueless, including you Signore Chazz? As to…" the man took out his hat, revealing the familiar teacher/doctor. "… who I really am?"

"Doctor Crowler… I never thought I would see you dress in black! New outfit?" Chazz asked, unamused by the doctor looks. "But again… why me facing Jaden?"

"A faker successor like Jaden must be crushed by elites such as yourselves before it's too late!" Dr. Crowler informed. "If all students know about how he is beating every Obelisk Blue duelist, being a Slifer Red… it will be an embarrassment for our dorm. That's why I'm instructing you to do it! You will duel against Jaden!" he pointed.

"But… the practical test is conducted between members of the same dorm!" Chazz said

"Eheh… Just leave everything to me! And we'll make that Jaden Facker remembers that WE elites are the ones around here!" Crowler answered him, with a maniac laugh.

*at the same time, at the canteen*

After the lunch break, while the other students of different dorms were now going to the gym to prepare themselves for the Exam, Jaden and Syrus were now alone in one table. Alexis had to excuse herself to wish luck to her friends, and Bastion decided to depart himself to get to their dorm group.

Both Slifers still had thirty minutes left before the Exam start, and getting to the gymnasium didn't take that long… five minutes on foot was enough. So, they were now in a table of canteen, eating some last snacks and checking their decks carefully. Dee and Yubel took the chance to appear also, for some company from their summoners.

"So… are you going to play Yubel and the other Priestess on this next Exam match?" Syrus started the speaking.

"Hm… who knows. Probably… If I get the chance to draw and play them. I just want to at least have some fun in this duel!" Jaden spoke innocently.

"Big Bro… this is an EXAM dueling. You can think of the fun for later… This is now a ranking match!" Syrus talked more assertive. "Thou I must admit… you and your awesome HEROs deem to always surprise me. I still remember your last duels. Those kinds of duels are ones that makes me want to give my very best on my time to duel."

"Eh… Don't think I also have the same feeling about your deck, Sy. I so want to see your Magicians in action. Since it's been almost one month you have them, I want to see how much you've improved!" Jaden exclaimed with a challenged look. One that actually in some way made Syrus 'scared'… was Jaden challenging him now for a duel? He hoped not.

'Oh right, it almost has been one month… ever since I got Dark Magician Girl. One month, that I met… Dee.' Syrus thought blushing. 'Ever since that time, what has Dee been thinking... about me? Am I a good company? A good… duelist? Or does she just think me just like a normal person?'

Syrus was still on his train of thoughts, when he looked now at Dee, she was talking to Jaden about his Disciples, and how much they accomplished on their sorcery works that would improve on Syrus' deck. All that much looking made Dee turn her attention to Syrus, now smiling and winking at him. Syrus gasped at that, like he got caught by a hunter trap, and decided to low down his head in shame.

"What's wrong with Syrus? Is he okay… or did he get now too nervous to talk with us?" Yubel asked, Jaden shrugging. Dee just got close to him.

"Hey, Sy… You want to tells us something?" she asked the timid boy, he heard her and decided to talk, but was too nervous.

"Hu… erm… I just… it's… AH! It's almost time to go, right? We need to get ourselves ready! Let's go! Yeah, let's…" Syrus excused himself, getting up from his seat. Jaden also did the same, the spirits now hovering behind them.

"Hey Sy… If you have some trouble somewhere, you can always tell me what's wrong…" Jaden put his hand on Syrus shoulder while they walked.

"You… promise you won't laugh at me?" Syrus asked with a pleading.

"I won't laugh… now say it!" Jaden said, but he had a feeling he knew what Syrus was about to say.

"It's… because of Dee. I… I was wondering something."

"Figures!" Jaden looked disappointed for Syrus bringing that topic next to him.

"What is it about me? I want to know…" Dee appeared close to the Slifers, Syrus was now a with a red beet face 'Close… Her face's TOO close!', he thought nervously.

"It's nothing! I have nothing to say about it… Sy, this is now up to you! Whatever you have to say, talk to her… it's not my business!" Jaden answered, for both his friend and sis. Hearing that, Dee then turned her attention to her summoner, he was feeling anxious. Maybe more anxious than before.

"Sy, please tell me what's wrong…" Sy looked at her, and she was really worried at him, showing him a begging look. He wanted to look away but couldn't…

"It's just… we, huh… one month. We… met… and, the Exams." That's all what Syrus could say, leaving Dee confused. Yubel and Jaden were looking at them, the first one started laughing.

"Whatever they are… they do look cute together!" she said.

"Hmph… I just hope Sy can understand that he can't pay attention to his dueling with a look like that. He might even lose instantly… and I, for once, don't want that to happen." Jaden crossed his arms. Dee was still processing what Syrus just told her.

"One month. We. Met. Exams…" she tried to repeat herself over again to understand the meaning. But then she remembered: they were in month October, and Syrus got her card last month. 'But why did Syrus mentioned the Exams? What's the purpose of that for us?'

They were now at the gym doors to get to their respective field exam. That's when Jaden got called by one of the instructors to begin his first match; Syrus excused himself to go to the sea rows, wishing his Slifer friend a 'good luck' sign.

Jaden was there waiting for his opponent to arrive to the other side of the field; for his and all Slifers surprised look, Chazz appeared in front of Jaden; he was going to be his opponent. Chazz looked at Jaden with a challenging smirk, doctor Crowler coming closer to the two students. Jaden decided to get some answers from the 'nice' professor.

"Hoy… Why is Chazz in front of me? Don't tell me this is your doing!" he said with an unamused look at Dr. Crowler.

"Well, signore Jaden! Since you 'scored so well on the Entry Exam', you wouldn't match up evenly against any Slifer Red student. Which is why we have judged that Signore Chazz is a much more suitable opponent for you." Dr. Crowler said with a huge smirk. "And of course, if you win, you will be promoted to Ra Yellow! So, how does that sound to you? Will you accept this offer?"

Jaden only looked at Chazz with an angry look, "Don't tell me you actually asked the professor to duel me in this exam match. If you wanted to duel me, we could do it before or after the exam…"

"Hmph… As if I wanted to waste my time playing around with Slifers like you… you will learn your place in this Academy in no time, Slacker!" Chazz said with a mocked face.

"… At least I tried to be nice to you, but I guess that's impossible to ask from you." Jaden sighed.

Syrus, Bastion and Alexis were sitting in the gym staircase to spectate Jaden's duel.

"Jaden's facing Chazz again? I got a bad feeling about this…" Syrus commented.

"I just hope Jaden thinks carefully about this. This could decide his future in this academy!" Alexis added, also concerned.

"That's true, but also think about it… if Jaden wins, he'll be in Ra Yellow dorm. To think that he enrolled here and he's already showing off his true potential." Bastion said, but then thought 'But if I remember correctly, Jaden was already supposed to be on Ra Yellow or Obelisk Blue in the first place, if it wasn't for that promise he mentioned… Jaden, just what do you have in mind?'

"I'll accept the duel!" Jaden answered Crowler's request. Then he looked at Chazz with a challenging smirk. "Remember Chazz, this time the duel will count…"

Chazz only answer, by gritting his teeth. "Grr… Hmph, I had LET you win that time if it wasn't for that 'cold' I got… but THIS time will be different, Jaden. YOU'RE GOING DOWN!".

"Right back at you!" Jaden declared. "DUEL!" they screamed, the doctor leaving his spot to go to the professor's spectating area.

Round 1 – Jaden (J): 4000LP; Chazz Princeton (CP): 4000LP

"I'll be going first! It's my turn, DRAW!" Chazz declared. 'And I thank you for these rare cards, teach…'. "I'll starts things up, with a little redo… I activate the Spell Card, Magical Mallet: by shuffling this card, along with any cards I don't want in my hand back into my deck; I'll draw that many new cards!"

Chazz picked back the Spell Card, together with other three cards from his hand. "And now, by returning these four cards… I can draw four new ones!" he put the cards back in the deck, shuffling and draw new ones.

Syrus only gasped in the staircase, getting up from his sitting position. "WHAT? A rare card right at the beginning of the duel?"

"And a really powerful one. If you can drop any cards from your hand that you don't want and replace them… your chances of getting the cards you want into your hand gets higher!" added Bastion, in answer of Syrus comment.

"And this really comes handful, when I just needed these cards… One of them being this Spell Card, Unexpected Dai: If I control no monsters on my side of the field, I can Special Summon a Level 4 or Lower Normal Monster from my Deck; Come forth! V-Tiger Jet, in Attack Mode!" Chazz brought his deck and slapped the mentioned card on his duel disk.

On Chazz field appeared a red light, revealing a yellow tiger head growling, his 'claws' appearing from his mechanical paws, and green wigs opening from behind it. Just like the name said it, it was a mechanical tiger jet, its red-eyes looking at the opponent. (ATK: 1600 / DEF 1800)

"And I'm not done yet… I now activate the Continuous Spell Card, Frontline Base." Chazz inserted the Spell behind his monster. "And I activate its effect: once per turn, I can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Union monster from my hand; and I think I'll summon my Heavy Mech Support Platform." He inserted a new card from his hand to the field.

Next to V-Tiger Jet, appeared another jet; it was white with red wings and end, it also had its grey supports in front of it, made to get equipped. (ATK: 500 / DEF: 500)

"I activate Support Platform's effect: Once per turn, I can equip it to a monster I control, giving it a raise of 500 ATK and DEF points; I'll equip it to my V-Tiger Jet. 'Instant Support'!" Chazz declared, the now Platform used its electric supports to equip itself under V-Tiger's Paws. The monster roared louder, feeling stronger. (ATK: 1600 – 2100 / DEF: 1800 – 2300)

"I'll set a card face-down to end my turn, Slacker! It's your move. I hope you didn't get too scared about these pro-elite moves". Chazz inserted his card on his duel disk, a face-down getting revealed next to his Spell.

Syrus was getting more nervous than ever. "Unbelievable, those monsters… did Chazz just said 'Union' monsters? Why does it sound too familiar?"

"I'm also getting worried, Syrus. I just hope Jaden can make it through on his turn!" Dee said next to him, so Syrus would at least get less stressed for his friend.

Jaden only looked at Chazz field, and next to his hand. Chazz wasn't playing his old deck, which meant… his deck strategies were now different. He needed to play carefully. Yubel appeared next to him, like she usually did in moments like this to give support. "Let's do this, Jaden!"

Round 2 – J: 4000LP; CP: 4000LP

"Let's do this, Chazz. It's my Turn! I draw a card." Jaden drew his card, "And I start things up with this Spell Card, Pot of Greed: I draw two cards from my deck." Two cards were drawn to his hand. "Next, I'll activate the Spell Card, Polymerization: I send monsters from my hand or field to the graveyard, to Fusion Summon a Fusion Monster; I'm sending my Elemental Hero's Shadow Mist and Woodsman from my hand."

Jaden sent his cards from his hand to the graveyard, the two mentioned heroes nodded to each other, merging together to create a dark-orange vortex. "'The pure soil of Hero' wildlife will combine itself with the dark mist that will enlighten a new savior. Let the ground cover your nature'! Fusion Summon! My Level 6, Elemental Hero Gaia!" the vortex exploded, Jaden inserted a new card from his extra deck.

On Jaden's field fell a new hero from the card, he kind of looked like his giant version of Elemental Hero Clayman, his brown body, arms and legs here massive. On top of that, in each of his arms' end were holes, made to absorb something from it. (ATK: 2200 / DEF: 2600)

"Let's not forget my Shadow Mist' effect: from my deck I can another 'Hero' to my hand; and I'll pick my Elemental Hero Blazeman!" Jaden added a card from his deck to his hand, but he was just starting…

"My Gaia has a special effect: When is Fusion Summoned, I can cut the ATK of one monster on your side of the field, and my monster gains that same ATK points your monster loss. 'Clay Pressure'!" Jaden declared, the holes from his monster hands started absorbing V-Tiger Jet's power, decreasing its strength (ATK: 2100 – 1050 / DEF: 2300). Gaia got stronger by its effect (ATK: 2200 – 3250 / DEF: 2600), Chazz was now trembling from his monster getting weak.

"And I still didn't Normal Summoned this turn. I summon Elemental Hero Liquid Soldier, in Attack Mode!" his blue hero got summoned to the field (ATK: 1400 / DEF: 1300). "And I think you know what my Liquid Soldier does: When is Normal Summoned, I can Special Summon a Level 4 or Lower from my Graveyard; I'll revive my Woodsman, in defense mode!" Liquid Soldier raised his arm on his right side, a new Hero-creature appeared on the field; red eyes, green skin and his right side was composed in tree branches. He took a knee when got summoned. (ATK: 1000 / DEF: 2000)

"And now let's go to Battle, shall we? Gaia, attack V-Tiger Jet! 'Continental Hammer'!" the Hero pulled back his right fist from behind him, charging it; then punched straight away to Chazz monster, the clash made strong winds over him now screaming, losing his Life Points. (CP: 4000 – 1800)

Everyone was looking at the duel with a gasp. It was supposed to be Chazz show-off, but now he was the one less than half his life points. "Incredible! Just from one attack, Jaden got to pass the half of an Obelisk Blue Life Points… Chazz on top of that. That was a real punch!" Bastion said, also getting up from his seat.

"WAY TO GO, BIG BRO!", "Go get the gold, bro!" Syrus and Dee were cheering for their friend.

"Jaden just keeps surprising me in any way possible." Alexis was laughing slightly, also supporting her Slifer friend.

Crowler was however in a depressed look. "Mama Mia! That Faker Slacker is really serious about this… Why did I open my Big mouth? Our dorm will suffer from Chazz lost… Not if he can do something about this!"

The smoke done from Jaden's attack cleared off; V-Tiger Jet was still on Chazz field, with the same attack he had before, without the Heavy Mech Support Platform (ATK: 1050 / DEF: 2300 – 1800). "Hng… by sending Heavy Mech Support Platform to the graveyard, my V-Tiger Jet won't be destroyed by this battle." Chazz said, sweat falling from his head.

"Good, because my battle phase is not over yet! Liquid Soldier, destroy his V-Tiger Jet. 'Aquatic Pressure'!" the Water Hero hold his hands together to form a water barrage that went straight to the machine, destroying it into pixels (C: 1800 – 1450). Chazz' Monster Zone was now empty; he only had his set card.

"I'll set a card face-down and I'll end my turn. During my End Phase, my Gaia' ATK comes back to normal. I hope this round surprised you, Chazz. Or don't tell me, did you actually got frighted by my Hero power?" Jaden asked with a smirk, crossing his arms. (ATK: 3250 – 2200 / DEF: 2600)

Dee, who was next to Syrus only slapped her head with her hand, with a sigh coming to her. "Hugh… I hate when this happens. Jaden sometimes needs to hide his provocations to himself!". Syrus was sweat laughing next to her, still looking at the field; he wasn't alone with her on the staircase.

Round 3 – J: 4000; CP: 1450LP

"Hmph… it looks like you have a teensy-weensy bit of skill, punk…" Chazz glared at Jaden, drawing now his card, "But it's MY TURN! And I drew a nice card; I activate my Continuous Spell, Different Dimension Hangar: I banish up to 3 Level 4 or lower Union monsters from my deck." On his side of the field, an actual hangar with mechanical arms appeared from a Dimensional Hole. Chazz picked three cards from his deck and the mechanical arms picked them to put inside the hangar.

"And now here's the best part. These monsters I just banished are very special ones… Light Union Machine-Type monster, which are good targets for this Trap card I have set. I activate my Trap, Union Scramble: I target up to 3 Light Machines Normal Monsters and/or Union monsters that are removed from play, and Special Summon them; I'll present you, the Alphabet for your defeat! GO, A-Assault Core, B-Buster Drake and C-Crush Wyvern." Chazz declared by activating his trap, the hangar opened freely for the monsters get revealed on Chazz field.

The first monster was a yellow gadget that looked like a Scorpion, its tail was a laser cannon (ATK: 1900 / DEF: 200); the second monster was a green gadget that looked like a Dragon, with weapon shooters on its back (ATK: 1500 / DEF: 1800) and the last monster was a purple gadget that looked like an actual Wyvern, with missiles stuck on its wings (ATK: 1200 / DEF: 2000)

Jaden looked at Chazz field with a wide-eye expression. His opponent just special summon 3 monsters at same time… he never expected Chazz to go that far to fill his field with only a two-card combo. He did his homework during the exam. Chazz, however, started to laugh maniacally.

"What's so funny?" Jaden asked.

"Ah… nothing. Just looking at your face just gives me some more reasons to defeat you so badly. Even after that humiliation you made me pass through. Did you think I would forget so easily? How much pain you made me pass through? That's why now I will show everyone that you're a nobody in this school. And I'm the one who will Chazz you down!"

"Will you even shut up about that 'last time' topic? I admit that I probably went overboard, because… never mind that! What's in the past is in the past, just grow up already!" Jaden told with his angry look.

"Eh… 'grow up' you say? What if I tell you right now what growing up is all about…? I banish my A-Assault Core, B-Buster Drake and my C-Crush Wyvern!" Chazz declared, the mentioned machines started to fly above him; he took a card from his extra deck. "'The soul of the ground predator! The force of the raging beast! The speed of the flying myth! Combine all in one to show your foes, your True Form'! UNIFICATION SUMMON! Rise, Level 8, ABC-Dragon Buster!"

The Assault Core was now the base, combined on the right side appeared the Buster Drake' Head and the Crush Wyvern' head appeared on the left side. It had the Wyvern Wings with the same missile artillery, and also the Dragon's weapon shooters. The machine just started roaring with its 2 heads, volts being spread over it (ATK: 3000 / DEF: 2800)

Doctor Crowler was now laughing at Chazz playing, "OH MY, Bravíssimo! Signore Chazz actually mastered the tactics he's added in to their fullest! Apparently, Jaden can't play with the Big Boys!"

"Oh No! Do something about this, Big Bro!", "You can do this, Jaden!" Syrus and Dee were now worried about him. Chazz monster was now more powerful than his own.

"I've seen about this Unification Summon once. It was mastered by the legendary duelist, Seto Kaiba himself. This is bad, that monster Chazz has might be real problematic." Bastion looked concerned.

"Seto… Kaiba?" Syrus remembered that name, and the 'unification summon' Bastion just said. Syrus then remembered, a duel replay he seen before: it was Seto vs Yugi. "Wait, if Chazz plays Union Monsters like Seto Kaiba, then does that mean that he also plays… THAT monster?" he gulped.

"If you're talking about the Egyptian God Card, Obelisk the Tormentor, no! That card's property in no one else but Seto Kaiba. He only uses it in drastic moments." Dee said.

"Oh, Thank God!" Syrus cleaned his head.

Chazz was smirking at Jaden, feeling like he had the game fixed for him. "Hey Jaden, want know the best part of all this? I still didn't Normal Summoned this turn. I now summon my X-Head Cannon in Attack Mode!" on Chazz field appeared a light-yellow and blue warrior machine with strong mechanical arms and biceps, with missiles on its shoulders and a spike ball under his body. (ATK: 1800 / DEF: 1500)

"Eheh… You're not ready for this! Battle! ABC-Dragon Buster, pulverize his Gaia! 'Critical Hit Barrage'!" The two-headed-machine released its missiles from its artillery, and its weapon cannon let out a laser beam. The attack went straight to Jaden's giant Hero, that got destroyed instantly (J: 4000 – 3200).

"And it's not over yet, because now I'm going to attack your Liquid Soldier with my X-Head Cannon. Go, 'Missile Shoot'!" The robot pointed its missiles to the declared hero, a weaker beam destroyed Jaden's monster (J: 3200 – 2800).

"Well, Chazz… I should probably thank you. Because I can now activate my Trap Card, Hero Signal: since you destroyed a monster I controlled by battle, I can now Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Hero from my deck; come, Elemental Hero Stratos". The turbine warrior appeared on Jaden's field (ATK: 1800 / DEF: 300). "And when Stratos is summoned, I can use its effect: I can add 1 'Hero' monster from my deck to my hand; and I'll add Elemental Hero Captain Gold!"

"Hmph… you and your annoying heroes are always the same! If there's something I learnt from our last duel, is that you're scared. Scared of being alone! You always have to end up needing someone's help to be the way you are…" Chazz murmured.

"What did you say?" Jaden asked

"Nothing! I end my turn. Just give up already, Slacker!" Chazz declared the end of his turn.

Alexis looked worried at Jaden, "Jaden, please tell me you still have a lot to show off…"

Yubel, that was thinking about the next strategies, decided to speak. "My love, this is bad. I guess we need to clear his board by any measurements. Let's just hope your next draw can be something that can do the trick…".

Round 4 – J: 2800; CP: 1450

"It's my turn, I draw!" Jaden looked at the card he drew and smiled. Yubel was also glad at the card she saw. It was a card he got from a pack Miss Dorothy gave him.

(Flashback)

On the card shop, the group were with Miss Dorothy, she had two packs with her.

"That aside, you kids, come on over here. I've got something that's very nice for both of you! These are my thanks for helping me push my van. Because I thought a Slifer Red fellow like you would probably end with no rare cards on this selling. Please take them."

Miss Dorothy gave the packs to both Jaden and Syrus, they were now with surprised looks.

(End Flashback)

"Alright, get ready Chazz! Because here comes the Hero Comeback! First, I activate Elemental Hero Woodsman effect: during my Standby Phase, I can add a 'Polymerization' from my graveyard or deck; I'll add the one I have in my graveyard I used last turn." Jaden informed, his graveyard slot revealing his card.

"Next, I summon Elemental Hero Blazeman, in Attack Mode!" Jaden Fire Hero was summoned to the field (ATK: 1200 / DEF: 1800). "I'll use its effect: from my deck, I'll add a Polymerization to my hand. And I'll use it right now, Polymerization: I send Elemental Heroes Stratos and Blazeman on my field to the Graveyard. 'The Wild Storms will clash with the flames that will restore a new savior. Let the heat cover your nature'! Fusion Summon! Level 8, Elemental Hero Nova Master!" Jaden's Fusion Monster got summoned on the field, looking challenging at the dragon machine (ATK: 2600 / DEF: 2100).

"Eh… SO what? Your hero is still weak against my powerful dragon. Face it… you're going…" Chazz was about to finish his sentence.

"Are you still saying my Heroes are weak? Even after that last time we dueled? Well how about this? I send my Elemental Hero Captain Gold from my hand to the graveyard, to activate its effect: I can add a certain Field Spell from my deck to my hand; you know the one, my Field Spell, Skyscraper, Activate!" Jaden said inserting the Field Spell from his deck to his Field Spell Zone. The holograms started showing the buildings growing.

"And now let's battle! Nova Master, attack ABC-Dragon Buster with your 'Blast Burn'!" his Flaming Hero went to Chazz Fusion Monster and was about to clash into it, when Chazz let out a smirk. An explosion occurred on his side of the field; Jaden's Nova Master was now on his side, and Jaden could hear Chazz laughing from his side of the field.

"I activate… ABC-Dragon Busters effect: on my opponent's turn, I can disperse my own Dragon Machine into my Assault Core, Buster Drake and Crush Wyvern to the field. Try harder next time, Slacker!" the three light union machines appeared on Chazz field in defense position. (ATK: 1900 / DEF: 200), (ATK: 1500 / DEF: 1800), (ATK: 1200 / DEF: 2000)

"No matter, I'll just have to redirect the attack. Nova Master, attack B-Buster Drake!" Nova Master now clashed himself to the green dragon, destroying it.

"And I thank you for that. B-Buster Drake ability activates: If it's sent to the Graveyard, I can add a Union Monster from my deck to my hand; I'll add my W-Wing Catapult" Chazz declared, adding his card.

"And my Nova Master has an effect: since I destroyed your monster, I can draw a card." Jaden did so, and drew his card. He got a smirk on his face, "And what a nice I card I just drew… I activate the Quick-Play Spell, Mask Change: by sending my Elemental Hero Woodsman to the graveyard, I can Special Summon an EARTH 'Masked Hero'; come forth Masked Hero Dian!"

The tree-human Hero covered his head with the mask; now changing into the declared Masked Hero, holding its sword (ATK: 2800 / DEF: 3000). "And my Masked Hero Dian will attack your C-Crush Wyvern, 'Diamond Sword Slash'!". Dian held its sword and did a sword play, destroying the purple wyvern.

"I guess you're being so predictable, Jaden! C-Crush Wyvern has an effect: If it's sent from the field to the Graveyard, I can special summon a Union Monster from my hand; come W-Wing Catapult!". On Chazz field appeared a new monster; a blue plane with two heads and a dorsal fin in each head, in the middle being revealed a catapult (ATK: 1300 / DEF: 1500).

"Say all you want, Chazz! Because my Dian also has an effect: since it destroyed your monster by battle, I can special summon a Level 4 or Lower monster from my deck; I summon Elemental Hero Sparkman, in Attack Mode!" Jaden inserted a new Hero on his field. An electrical Hero wearing a yellow and blue suit, two big antennas were behind him, being part of his suit (ATK: 1600 / DEF: 1400).

"Sparkman, attack his A-Assault Core, with 'Static Shockwave'!" his electric Hero let out a spark blast from his hand, destroying the yellow scorpion; Chazz was still smirking at Jaden's play.

"And that's where Assault Core effect activates: if it's sent from the field to the graveyard, I can add back another Union Monster from my graveyard to my hand; I'll add back my B-Buster Drake." Chazz said, adding back his monster from his grave slot to his hand. Chazz still had his X-Head Cannon and the W-Wing Catapult. He was laughing at the way Jaden did a grave mistake for not attacking those monsters. 'I can't wait for my next turn…' he thought.

"I'll just set 2 cards face-down before ending my turn!" Jaden said, confident for his win game, two cards face-down being revealed on his side of the field.

Round 5 - J: 2800; CP: 1450

"Alright. Show time, punk! It's my turn!" Chazz drew his card. "Hey Jaden, guess you're not the only one who can draw too many cards; because I can also do the same thing. Spell Card, Pot of Greed", Chazz drew his two new cards, ready for his new plays. "I'll send your Field Spell to the graveyard, to activate mine. It's my Field Spell, Union Hangar!".

Just like Chazz said, Jaden's Skyscraper was now sent to the Graveyard, so new holograms could be created. It showed a hangar with a lot of capsules, in each capsule showed a letter of the alphabet. Two of those same capsules were the letters 'Y' and 'Z', the other ones on top them were 'W' and 'X'.

"What is this field?" Jaden asked curiously. Yubel was next to him, looking around.

"Union Hangar! A field spell that's supposed to give support to Union Machine monsters. I've heard about this place on searching books, back on Monster Realm; but the searches weren't enough to tell me what it did. Be careful, Jaden! I sense some danger on this place."

"Feeling out of place, Slacker? Of course, you do! Because this is now MY world! And Union Hangar has an effect: when is activated, I can add one Light Union Machine monster from my deck to my hand; and I'll pick Y-Dragon Head." Chazz declared picking his card.

"And now I special summon it, with the effect of my Frontline Base! Roar, Y-Dragon Head!", on Chazz field, next to X-Head Cannon, appeared a red metallic dragon (ATK: 1500 / DEF: 1600).

Syrus gasped at the field, remembering again the Seto Kaiba union combo against Yugi. "Wait, Chazz has both X and Y monsters! There's only one piece coming."

Bastion was also next to him, also nervous. "This is bad… HE'S MIGHT BE COMING!"

Yubel looked at Jaden, "Get ready for the worst…", Jaden nodded, feeling ready.

"I activate Union Hangar' effect: since I Normal or Special Summoned a Light Union Machine, I can equip it with an appropriate Union Light Machine from my hand or deck; well, Slacker, since you know the full alphabet, you know what card I'll equip… my Z-Metal Tank!"

The field spell opened one of the capsules, the Z one, where the mentioned machine went right next to the red metalized dragon, to equip to it. "Also, here's the Z-Metal Tank effect: while it's equipped to my Y-Dragon Head, it gains 600 ATK and DEF.". The declared dragon started roaring. (ATK: 1500 – 2100 / DEF: 1600 – 2200)

"But that's not the real reason why I equipped to it. I'm going to banish my X, Y and Z for you know what… time to call your new boss! 'The mighty engine! The roaring weapon! The… AH forget it… Just combine in one to crush your foes in pure obliteration'! Unification Summon! Level 8, XYZ-Dragon Cannon!".

The monsters flew up; Head Cannon's spike ball went inside it, to combine itself to the Dragon Head body, that lost its wings; from the bottom of the Dragon, the Metal Tank also combined to it, to become the mobile base of the monster. (ATK: 2800 / DEF: 2600)

"THERE IT IS… The icon monster Kaiba used…" Syrus said, on his knees. Dark Magician Girl spirit tried to console him, by patting his head.

"But I still wonder, why did Chazz summoned that W-Wing Catapult on the first place? Wasn't it better to stay on the hand?" Alexis asked, with a finger over her chin.

"If we think about it, Chazz could have a plan for that…" Bastion was processing the same status.

"But don't think this is over, I can still do more. Like activating my Spell Card, Silent Doom: It lets me Special Summon a Normal Monster from my Graveyard in defense mode; and I think… V-Tiger Jet is the best option!" Chazz said, picking his card from the graveyard. The tiger jet returned to the field, next to W-Wing Catapult. (ATK: 1600 / DEF: 1800). "And now, I'll banish my V and W! And screw the stupid chanting… Merge together, Level 6, VW-Tiger Catapult!"

The Catapult gave more space between its heads, so the Tiger Jet could combine itself together, now merging together into one powerful machine. (ATK: 2000 / DEF: 2100)

"And now there's two monsters on Chazz field with 2000 ATK or higher. Does Jaden have any chance of winning now?" Bastion asked concerned.

"God… Why did you have to punish us so badly?" Syrus asked dramatically, letting out animated tears. Dee work wasn't helping on his concern for Jaden duel exam.

Chazz was now laughing at Jaden. "What's so funny?" Jaden asked, getting annoyed.

"Ah! How the tables have turned… I knew this time would come, where I would show everyone just how pathetic you look right now. Chazz said, revealing a Spell to Jaden; in which he gasped in fear and Yubel gritted her teeth. "By the look you're showing, you might know what this Spell does. I activate the Spell Card, Lighting Vortex: by discarding one card, I can destroy all face-up monsters you control; say goodbye to your field, Slacker!"

A huge bolt from lightning sparks blasted from the Spell, destroying all monsters Jaden had on the field. Jaden was trembling, just how all his monsters were destroyed with only two cards. This was a real duel to reach its climax. Everyone was getting anxious, to see who would actually win the duel. All the Obelisks were now celebrating with Chazz play, and Jaden's friends were now getting frustrated.

"I don't want to look!" Syrus and Alexis said at same time.

"I guess this is over." Bastion declared, closing his eyes.

Dr. Crowler was laughing from his spot on the spectating area. "Oh My… This is simply the best! That slacker will be slacking any time moment now!"

"AHAHAHAH! That's it. Now all that's left are your set cards, Jaden. I activate the effect of my Union Scramble from my graveyard: by banishing it from the graveyard, I can add either a Light Machine Union or Normal Monster from my banished cards; I'll add back my X-Head Cannon." Chazz declared, adding his monster from his banished pile. "It comes in handy, to activate my XYZ-Dragon Cannon's effect: by discarding one card from my hand, I can destroy one card you control! I'll send the same X-Head Cannon to destroy your middle set card."

The Dragon Cannon pointed its weapons to the set card, about to destroy it…

"Now Jaden, activate it!" Yubel instructed.

"Alright, Reverse Card Open! I activate my Quick-Play Spell, Flute of Summoning Kuribohs: I can Special Summon from my deck, a friend of mine. You guys say 'Hi' to my pal, Winged Kuriboh!" to his side, the fluff fairy-winged ball appeared, cheerfully. "Kuri, Kuriii!" (ATK: 300 / DEF: 200)

"CUUUUUUU~TIE!" All the Obelisk Blue female students screamed with heart-eyes over Jaden's monster. The Obelisk Blue students were now… 'jealous' of the fur ball.

"Of course, you would still have something to protect you! It won't matter thou… The real main event is about to start now! I'll merge my VW with my XYZ… for an Ultimate Unification Summon! 'The Ultimate Roaring Wild King! The nuclear weapon of demise! Cause impact to the World in a sudden march of disaster'! Come Forth, Level 8, V to Z – Dragon Catapult Dragon!"

All the machines that were past merged in the two machines separated themselves to create a new creature. It looked now like a humanoid power robot, with the red wings on its back and the red dragon head on the torso; its hands were part of the Metal Tank base, and it finally had the Head Cannon missiles on its chest. (ATK: 3000 / DEF: 2800)

"Oh… my… Kuriboh!" Jaden was looking at the weapon battle machine, terrified.

"Don't you mean 'God'?" Chazz asked.

"You worship yours; I worship mine!"

"Eh… speaking of 'worshiping' what's yours… I guess I could tell what I worship for. My Dragon Catapult Dragon effect: Once per turn, I can banish one card you control; your worship went in vain!", Chazz monster was ready to send blasting Jaden's Winged Kuriboh…

"Jaden…" Yubel said to his friend, impatient.

"I KNOW… Hey Chazz, I guess you forgot I had another face-down… I activate my Quick-Play Spell, Transcendent Wings: I'll send my Winged Kuriboh and other two cards from my hand to the graveyard, to Special Summon Winged Kuriboh LV 10!"

Jaden's Winged Kuriboh wings had now spread open into more gigantic ones; the Kuriboh had a yellow dragon head on top of its own. It also showed a wicked look on it. "KURIIII!" (ATK: 300 / DEF: 200)

"It's a level 10 monster, but it's still so weak? Enough of playing around, BATTLE! V to Z Dragon Catapult Dragon, fry that Kuriboh with 'Ultimate Destruction'!" the declared monster sent blue laser beams from its missiles to the Kuriboh… with Jaden having a smirked on his face. The attack passed through his monster, Chazz gasping at it.

"Still saying it's weak this, it's weak that! You never learn, Chazz! Have you ever heard of the old saying: 'The Bigger they are, the Harder they fall'? Well how about I show you my Winged Kuriboh LV 10 special ability: during the Battle Phase, I can tribute itself, to destroy ALL monsters my opponent controls, and deals you damage equal to the combine ATK of the destroyed monsters; in another words, you'll take 3000 damage. Any final words?" Jaden asked, Chazz' fusion monster got destroyed together with Winged Kuriboh Lvl 10.

"Damn you, Slacker… YOU WILL PAY!" Chazz screamed, his Life Points decreasing to none. (CP: 1450 – 0)

JADEN WON THE DUEL

The crowd was silent… When a voice could be heard.

"Y… YOU DID IT, BIG BRO!", Jaden's best friend screamed, everyone was now clapping at him with a lot of cheers. Only the Obelisk Blues male students were now on their knees; their competition against the Slifer Reds was on their defeat.

Dr. Crowler was terrified, leaning too much on the window. "To have that many rare cards and lose…"

"It appears that were grounds for him beating you, professor Crowler", Chancellor Shepard said next to him; for Dr. Crowler embarrassment.

"Hnngh… You really must excuse me!" Crowler murmured, now leaving the spectating area; with Shepard laughing at him, now looking outside the Spectating area, seeing Jaden waving everyone.

Syrus, Bastion and Alexis went down the stairs to celebrate his friend's victory.

"Way to go, Big Bro!", "Yeah, you really smashed there good!" Syrus and Dee were smiling cheerfully at Jaden.

"That's expected of the King's Successor. You never cease to surprise me with your dueling!" Alexis grinned.

"To think you would bring such a matchup against an Obelisk Elite! Eh… no wonder you're the first-best duelist." Bastion smirked with his arms crossed.

"Yeah! Thank you, guys. Oh and…" Jaden looked now behind him, doing his signature pose to Chazz. "GOTCHA! Despise the outcome, that was a SWEET duel, Chazz! I hope we can duel each other again."

"Grr… Jaden! Just you wait…" Chazz hissed, with his head down.

From the professor Spectating area, a sound from a loudspeaker could be heard. "You have shown me, Jaden Muto! You trust in your deck, your passionate friendship with your monsters, and most importantly, your dueling soul that never gives up in a fight! These are things I'm sure everyone here has acknowledged. So as the winner, Jaden, you are: being promoted to Ra Yellow!"

Everyone from the spectating area started cheering again, "Congratulations!"

"Man, you really are the best, Big Bro!" Syrus hugged his best friend, Dee nodding at what Syrus said.

"Eh! Am I really that good? How about you showing now how good your dueling skills are to everyone here? It's now your turn!" Jaden smirked at Syrus, he now was feeling more confident from his friend's victory.

"Yeah… I'm going to show everyone… The hard-boiled duelist I am from our dorm!"

"You go get them, bro!", "Good luck, Syrus!", "Bring us a good show, chap!", "We know you can do it!", Jaden, Yubel, Bastion and Alexis were now cheering for him.

"Everyone… I'll be going!" Syrus exclaimed, going to his field test. With a huge sigh, he saw a brown-haired Slifer Red Student on the other side of the field where we was going do his exam; he wasn't that much confident of himself, he only looked natural.

Dark Magician Girl' spirit appeared next to him, a little worried. "Hey, Sy. Before you start the match… can you just tell me what was that 'Exams' thing you mentioned a while back during your explanation?" she asked. Syrus was now nervous again, but he didn't want to hide it anymore.

"Is just that… when you mentioned that… Halloween Holiday a while ago, I was thinking… if I really win this Exam duel, will you… really… let ME go out with you?"

"Of course, I'll let you… dummy! Did you think I would break up my promise? A Magician never goes back on its word." Dee was now relieved for what Syrus was nervous about.

"Oh, really? Then I was just thinking, about that Monster Realm, visiting… how am I… how are you…" Syrus was now lost in his words, and Dee shut his lips again with her fingers.

"Shh, don't stress it now. That's not the state you will have to win against your opponent, is it?", Syrus was now on his duel spot, with a huge sigh to relax himself. He looked now at his opponent, with a new confident look.

'I'm going to duel with the best I have… and win!' he thought. "All right, let's do this!"

"Y… Yeah! You're going down, Slifer!" said his Slifer Opponent.

"DUEL!" they declared.

Round 1 – Syrus (S): 4000LP; Slifer Student (SS): 4000LP

"I'll go first. It's my turn!" Syrus drew his card. "I'll activate the Spell Card, Mystical Machine – Hyper Potion: by revealing you 'Magician' monster with different names from my hand, I can draw the same number of cards; I'll reveal you my Cargo Magician and my Patrol Magician" Syrus revealed his new cards to his opponent. "So that means, I can now draw two new cards! Now, I Summon Heli Magician, attack mode!" on Syrus field got revealed the female silver-head Magician (ATK: 1000 / DEF: 1000)

"And I'll use her effect: When is Normal Summoned, I can special summon a level 4 or lower 'Magician' from my hand; I special summon Cargo Magician, defense mode!", on Syrus field appeared a black-haired male Magician with a red hat and a silver cloak, behind him he was carrying one single iron tube that was letting out smoke; he had a serious look on its face, holding a normal-sized scepter. He took a knee together with Heli Magician, due to her effect. (ATK: 1000 / DEF: 2000)

"I'll now activate my Continuous Spell, Technomancy Combination!" Syrus inserted his spell on his duel disk. Behind the two magicians, a wood table appeared with magic books and formulas. "I'll also set a card face-down before ending my turn!" a card was set on Syrus side of the field. 'A nice start! If I keep this up… No! Bad thoughts, bad thoughts!'

Round 2 – S: 4000LP; SS: 4000LP

"Alright, It's my turn! Draw.", the other Slifer Red drew his card. "I activate my Continuous Spells, Frontline Base and The A. Forces!" he inserted the cards on his field. "And next I summon Arnis, the Empowered Warrior, in Attack Mode!" on his side of the field appeared a lady dressed in a red phoenix dress (ATK: 1700 / DEF: 1200). "Due to The A. Forces effect, my Arnis gets stronger by 200 ATK points.", the warrior got stronger (ATK: 1700 – 1900 / DEF: 1200).

"Let's… battle! And this moment, my Banner of Courage gives more strength to my monster by 200 ATK.", the warrior lady attack got stronger again (ATK: 1900 – 2100 / DEF: 1200). "Arnis, attack the Heli Magician!". The lady warrior went straight to Syrus female magician, but Syrus decided to act.

"Now's you chance, Sy!" Dee said next to his summoner, Syrus nodded.

"I flip over my face-down! Trap Card, Mystical Machine – Invisible Cloak: this trap becomes an equip card to a 'Magician' monster I control, it gains 300 DEF and can't be destroyed by battle; I'll equip to my Heli Magician!", the mentioned cloak appeared on Heli, she was now invisible in front of Arnis. The warrior lady got confused by where the magician went, so she decided to return back to her side of the field. The effect of Banner of Courage ended (ATK: 2100 – 1900 / DEF 1200)

"I… I'll set a card face-down before ending my turn!" the Slifer student said, before ending his turn, a new face-down being revealed to his side of the field.

Round 3 – S: 4000LP; SS: 4000LP

"Okay, it's my turn!", Syrus drew his card. It was a new Magician, but Syrus felt like he had a plan, "I now activate the effect of my Technomancy Combination: during each of my standby phases, by paying 700LP, I can return one 'Magician' from my hand to the bottom of the deck to draw a card. And if the card I drew is a 'Magician' with the same or higher attack than the monster I returned to the deck, I can special summon it, and if I do so, I draw a new card; I'll return my Level 4, Jet Magician, with 1200 ATK points, to the bottom of the deck" Syrus returned his card to the bottom of the deck. (S: 4000 – 3300)

"I DRAW!" Syrus drew his card, it was a different Magician. "I can now Special Summon this friend of mine, Level 4, Steam Magician, attack position! And next, I draw a card." on Syrus field appeared a grey-haired Magician with a black hat, it had a train-pipe letting smoke; he was wearing a red cloak and also a wand held on both his arms (ATK: 1800 / DEF: 1800).

"You just got lucky from that draw…" Dark Magician Girl deadpanned, and Syrus scratched his hair with a nervous laugh. He then picked a card.

"I now activate my Spell Card, Polymerization: I'll send my Heli Magician and Steam Magician I control to the graveyard to play a Fusion Monster. 'Winds of innovation! Steams of creation! Combine yourselves in one, to form an evolution of the enchanted alchemy'! Fusion Summon, Level 6, Mage of Technomancy – HeliSteam Magician!".

Heli and Steam magician clashed their wands together into a 'BAM', a magical vortex formed by them where they got absorbed. A new Sorceress appeared, it had the same silver hair with a black wizard hat; she was wearing silver gloves and a light-purple cloak. On her cloak, the middle gem had the 'gear' symbol on the middle of the 'hexagram'. Her wand she was holding was letting out some magical lightning (ATK: 2200 / DEF: 1600).

"And now from my hand, I summon Patrol Magician!", next to HeliSteam appeared a sorceress wearing a police hat, she had a police suit instead of the Magician cloak, and she had handkerchiefs and a flashlight; however, she still had the 'hexagram' symbol on a medal she had on her suit, the 'gear' symbol on her belt vest, and her wand that had a blue and red sirene (ATK: 1200 / DEF: 1200).

"Next, I'll equip my Patrol Magician with my Equip Spell, New Tomes of Technomancy Vol 1!", the police woman was now opening a magic book and reading it, it was from the equip spell. "And I activate the effect of my HeliSteam Magician: once per turn, I can target one other 'Magician' monster I control, its ATK gets doubled; I'll use its effect on my Patrol Magician!", HeliSteam started chanting, the Patrol Magician was now getting more serious to battle (ATK: 1200 – 2400 / DEF: 1200).

"Patrol Magician also has an effect: by discarding one random card from my hand, I can target one set card you control. If the card I discarded has the same Card Type of your set card, it gets automatically destroyed!" Syrus only had one card on his hand, so he simply discarded it… "I discard my last card from my hand. My Trap Card, Magic Cylinder! I'll now target your set card and it gets revealed!"

"What? No, my card!" the Slifer student said, his set card being revealed. It was the counter trap, Negate Attack.

"Since it's a trap, my Patrol Magician destroys it. 'Guard Penalty'!", his sorceress picked her flashlight, and the light made the opponent's trap get destroyed.

"Now without the trap in the way, it's time to battle! Patrol Magician, attack his Arnis, the Empowered Warrior, 'Blowback Attack'!", the police sorceress grabbed her wand and smashed it on the warrior lady, destroying it into pixels (SS: 4000 – 3500).

"And the effect of Cargo Magician activates: if one other 'Magician' I battled destroyed your monster, that destroyed monster becomes an equip card to my monster, gaining that same monster ATK points. However, this effect only applies while he's in defense mode; your Arnis becomes equipped to my Cargo, he gains that same attack!", Cargo Magician created a Magical Circle behind him, where the Arnis creature appeared behind him to become his stand (ATK: 1000 – 2700 / DEF: 2000)

"Hngh… My Arnis has an effect too: if it's destroyed by battle, I can special summon a Spellcaster-Type monster from my deck with 1500 or less ATK in attack mode; come Blue Dragon Summoner!" the red phoenix warrior let out a scream from her destruction, a new blue-haired sorceress appeared on the field, with a blue creature standing behind it. (ATK: 1500 / DEF: 600)

"Good thing, because now my Patrol Magician can attack again your monster!" Syrus informed his opponent.

"What? That's impossible, she already attacked…"

"I know, but THAT's the effect of my New Tomes of Technomancy Vol 1: if my 'Magician' monster destroyed a monster this turn by battle, it can attack my opponent monster once again; since you just summoned a new monster, you know it becomes the new target for my monster! Patrol Magician, 'Double Blow Attack'!", the police sorceress closed the magic book, and with her wand, she clashed again against the Slifer Student' monster head, the monster now turned into pixels (SS: 3500 – 2600).

"My Blue Dragon Summoner has an effect: from my deck I can add a Dragon, Warrior or Spellcaster Normal Monster to my hand."

"Now, HeliSteam Magician will attack you directly. Go, 'Aero Blast'!", the female sorceress jumped from her spot and pointed her wand to the opponent; a magical lighting sphere was sent from it that clashed against the Slifer Student, while that one screamed (SS: 2600 – 400)

"During my End Phase, since I used my HeliSteam Magician effect, the monster targeted by this effect is destroyed, and I take damage equal to the destroyed original ATK points." Patrol Magician now screamed from her 'doping energy', and got automatically destroyed, Syrus taking damage. 'I'm sorry, Patrol…' (S: 3300 – 2100) "I end my turn!"

Round 4 – S: 2100LP; SS: 400

"Ah… Now you're really going down, Slifer. It's my turn!" the Slifer Student drew his card. "I activate the Spell Card, Double Summon: this turn, I can perform an additional Normal Summon; I'll use it to Normal Summon my Neo the Magic Swordsman in Attack Mode!" on his field appeared a blonde-haired drifter-knight that was holding a sword and practicing sorcery with his left arm (ATK: 1700 / DEF: 1000).

"I'll now tribute it, to Tribute Summon my Level 6, Trance the Magic Swordsman!" Neo turned itself in a bright light, transforming itself into a more advanced knight-drifter wearing a silver armor and a blue cape behind him, a blue aura being spread thought him as he held his sword (ATK: 2600 / DEF: 200)

"And now I'll attack your Cargo Magician with my Trance, 'Enlightenment Slash'!" the sorcerer-knight picked his sword to slash it into Syrus defense monster.

"Good! I'm at winning state. I end my turn." The Slifer student declared.

Round 5 – S: 2100LP; SS: 400

Syrus was now about to start his turn, when Dee appeared next to him. "Syrus, are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm… okay! I just never thought I would face such an opponent. This is what makes me… enjoy dueling. The respect we both share with our monsters, the bonds. I just hope my deck can now answer me back on this draw!" Syrus looked at his deck slot, ready for a miracle.

"It's MY turn!" Syrus picked his card. "Alright! I activate the Spell Card, Spellbook Inside the Pot: we now can draw 3 cards from our deck!" Syrus and his opponent drew their cards, Syrus was actually admired. He also got a card Miss Dorothy gave him; he got a plan to win this.

"Alright, time to change the scene for a bit! I activate my Field Spell, Mystical Machine – Hyper Library: when I activated, I can add a Level 6 or lower 'Magician' from my deck!", Syrus picked the monster from his deck, a big smile being revealed on his mouth; while the holograms of the giant library appeared on the field.

"Get ready, because this is my Trump Card! I tribute my HeliSteam Magician, to Tribute Summon you Heroine and mine, Level 6, Dark Magician Girl!" Syrus inserted his card crush on his duel disk. Cargo Magician created a Magical Circle before leaving the field, so Dee could now join the duel. "HA!" she screamed, holding her wand. (ATK: 2000 / DEF: 1700)

Everyone gasped at Dark Magician Girl appearance on Syrus field. Only Yugi could have that card; how did a Slifer have that card in the first place? Jaden, on another reaction, just slapped his head with his hand, embarrassed for having his sister being revealed by the entire school. But he couldn't blame it, this was an exam match. Anything counted…

"And here comes the card that will be your downfall! I activate the Spell Card, Dark Burning Attack: if I control 'Dark Magician Girl', all your monsters are automatically destroyed!" Syrus mentioned, Dee actually created a magical burst from her wand, and sent it straight to the opponent's monster. Trance screamed by the magic impact, being destroyed in pixels. 'Thank you for the Spell Card, Miss Dorothy!' Syrus smirked for declaring his finish line.

"Ah! No way… Not my monster!" the Slifer Student murmured, with no monsters on the field.

"And it's time to end this. Battle!" Syrus declared. "My Heli, Steam and Patrol Magicians have their effects in my graveyard: their names are changed to Dark Magician! And, my Dark Magician Girl has her effect: she gains 300 ATK for each 'Dark Magician' in my graveyard.", all the mentioned Magicians appeared in their shadow form and pointed their wands to her Mistress. She was now feeling more powerful (ATK: 2000 – 2900 / DEF: 1700).

"… I want my mummy!", his opponent fell on his knees.

"Dark Magician Girl, 'DARK BURNING'!" Syrus declared, Dee sent another blast from her scepter straight to the opponent life points. (SS: 400 – 0)

SYRUS WON THE DUEL!

Syrus was still there in his duel spot, his and his opponent duel disk went off. Only for Syrus and Jaden sight, Dark Magician Girl was now jumping cheerfully for Syrus victory, so she went straight to his summoner… and instinctively hugged him. By that action that Syrus felt her contact… he got paralyzed with a deep-red beet face. He was trying to relax, but it seemed impossible. Her skin contact was making him dumbstruck; his eyes were rolling everywhere.

"You did, you passed your exam! That's my Sy, that's you… eheh!" Dee whispered and… kissed his cheek. That was it, Syrus had now a nosebleed from blood pressure.

Jaden came close to them, unamused. He knew that would happen someday, but not in front of him… Yubel came close to him and put a hand on his shoulder, so Jaden could at least sigh.

"Well… despise THAT… Good game, bro!" Jaden was now grinning at his best friend.

"Uh… oh yeah! Thanks, Big Bro, ahahah!" Syrus laughed nervously. Luckily for him, his opponent was a Slifer Red student; so, he thought he was in a nice spot to win.

"Ugh… I lost. I guess I have to hit my head on books…" the same Slifer Student said.

"Hum… you actually did well in our duel. You have some nice plays in your deck, you just need to keep practicing in training duels like I did… right?" Syrus tried to console his opponent.

"You… think I did well?"

"You were good, I can't deny that!" Jaden appeared behind Syrus, to do his signature pose.

"Ah… Thanks! I'll be stronger than today, let's duel again someday!" the now Slier student smiled and left from his duel spot.

"Students: the exam is done!", Chancellor Sheppard spoke from the megaphone in the Spectating Area. "Expect your results to be posted this evening."

All students now left the gymnasium. Some had an amused look for winning their duel, others had the disappointed look for their loss; their evaluation would be decided that same evening.

The Slifer group was now in the hallway, where they saw Chancellor Sheppard. He looked at Jaden with a grin. "Congratulations to you, Jaden Muto, to be promoted to Ra Yellow. I hope the new dorm gives you most deserved welcoming."

Bastion added with that. "And allow me the first one to welcome you there." Bastion offered, extending his hand for Jaden. He accepted the hand-shake, but then he decided to talk.

"I appreciate the offer, Chancellor, Bastion… But I can't accept it." Everyone gasped at that.

"WHAT? But Jaden, you're the best duelist I ever met… why would you turn down an offer like this one?" Alexis asked concerned.

"I ask the same thing, Jaden. What's with that illogical reasoning? Could it be, because of that promise you mentioned on the first day?", Bastion asked.

"Eheh… I guess you found out! I can't hide it anymore. Yes, I did a promise with my dad. A promise I made that I swore to fulfill it…" Jaden said, now explaining the meaning of it.

*3 years ago, in Domino City*

Jaden and his duel spirits were dueling on the table of the living room. It was Mana against Jaden, and Mana was about to finish her play.

"And with my Mana, the Sky Dragon Empress, I attack you directly, Jaden!", Mana declared.

"Aw… I lost! But it was too much fun. Thanks for the sweet plays, Mana!" Jaden said happily. Mana only smiled at him, and went close to him to give him a hug. That was the winner's reward they promised, after all. Yugi and Yubel were also there, looking at the group.

"Kids get to always grow up, don't they?" Yugi asked the spirit.

"That's my Jaden there… that's what makes him so special for me! Whenever he wins or loses, he always has a sweet smile on him." Yubel said, blushing a little.

"Hey, Dad… I've been wandering about something." Jaden was now next to his step-dad, with his fingers moving against each other.

"What is it, son?"

"Is… about the Duel Academy entry exam people do… why is Slifer Red the low rank dorm?"

"Hm… If I were to answer that question… I don't consider that dorm to be the low rank. That's up to the people deciding it… Why does that bother you?"

"It's because… Slifer is so cool! A powerful God Card! If it wasn't for it… I was thinking if I could also join Duel Academy, to show how strong that god is compared to the other ones."

"Now, now… don't go out there give rivalries against other kids for something so unnecessary like that."

"But… Hey, dad… If I were to stay in Duel Academy, could I get to stay in Slifer Red… 'forever'?" Jaden asked begging.

"It makes weeks since she didn't come to this room. Where is she? I'm getting too worried to know what is taking her so long to do these classes. I just hope, she's not slacking…" he said with a serious look.

I want to apologize for those who already read my story... I forgot to add an author notes conclusion. I'm sorry :'( . I had this published before going to work. But yeah, tell me in the reviews how did you think of the duels. I also took some time to correct some errors, and update this story.

Anyways, I will get some free time everyday to keep making edited duels and keep writting on my future chapters. This next chapter will be a "bonus" episode, not existed in the anime. I just thought it could give us readers some nice vibes and/or spice in it. I just want to say a very important thing... in lewd moments between the characters, I don't follow NTR (netorare, aka cuckholdry fetish), which I hate it the most! So... I'm a simple man. Future chapter will contain a Warning Lemons between parenthesis, the rest of the story continues. That won't mean that my story is center focused on that part, readers and writers. You can only use each effect (1) or (2) of "Cargo Magician" once per turn, and only once that turn:

- (1) You can target 1 other "Magician" monster you control: switch the original ATK and DEF of the monster.

- (2) If a "Magician" monster you control destroys a monster by battle, while this card is in defense position, equip it to this card. This card gains attack equal to the combined attack of the monsters equipped to it.

8 – (FM) Technomancy Combination / Continuous Spell

There can only be one "Technomancy Combination" on the field

- Once per turn, you can pay 700lp and return one "Magician" monster from your hand to the bottom of your deck, then draw a card;

If that card is a "Mystical Machine" or "Technomancy" Spell/Trap card, you can reveal it; then you can add another "Mystical Machine" or "Technomancy" card from your graveyard to your hand.

If that card is a "Magician" with attack equal or higher than the ATK of the monster sent to the deck, you can Special Summon it, and if you do, you can draw another card.

9 – (FM) Mystical Machine- Invisible Cloak / Normal Trap

- Target 1 "Magician" monster you control, equip this card to that target. It gains 300 DEF, also it can't be destroyed be battle.

10 – (FM) Steam Magician / EARTH / Spellcaster / Level 4 / ATK 1800 / DEF 1800

- If this card attacks, it gains 300 ATK points. If this card is attacked, change it into defense position, and if you do, it loses 300 DEF points.

- While this card is in the graveyard, this card name's treated as "Dark Magician"

11 – (FM) Mage of Technomancy – HeliSteam Magician / Fusion / EARTH / Spellcaster /Level 6 / ATK 2200 / DEF 1600

"Heli Magician" + "Steam Magician"

- You can target 1 other "Magician" monster you control, double its attack. If you do, your targeted monster is destroyed in the End Phase, and you take damage equal to its original attack. This effect can only be used once while this card is face-up on the field.

- If this card is destroyed, you can special summon 1 Spellcaster-Type monster from your hand.

12 – (FM) Patrol Magician / EARTH / Spellcaster / Level 4 / ATK 1200 / DEF 1200

- You can target 1 face-down card on the field; discard 1 random card from your hand. The face-down card gets revealed. If the discarded card has the same card type as the revealed card, that target is destroyed.
