The next chapter.

"I don't think we have a choice."

"NO! Kopa we can't go with him I have to get back." Kion wailed.

Kopa sighed tiredly "If we don't he will kill both of us."

"How do know we know that!" the cub snarled. "He could easily kill us if we go with him." Tears poured out of the cub's eyes and Kopa pulled him close

"At least I know it won't be today. I promise you Kion that I will bring you home." Kopa said sincerely.

"As amusing as this is, I would like to get going now." Mtawala stated and beckoned Kopa to follow.

Kopa snarled but followed with Kion trailing behind him. They walked for what seemed like hours till they made it to a some mountains. Mtawala began to climb up and looked back to check that Kopa was following him. Kopa looked up at the very tall mountain heaved a sigh, luck was not on his side today. The young lion picked up Kion by the scruff and began to climb the mountain. It was dark by the time they made it to the top, and everyone in the pride was asleep. All of the lions were female and there was no cubs in the pride. Mtawala lead the two to a small spot.

"You will sleep here tonight." and with that Mtawala left Kopa to his thoughts.

Kopa set Kion down and laid beside him.

"How are we going to get out of this? We are way farther away from the pride lands." Kion asked

"We are going to get out of here, I just don't know how yet." Kopa reassured him.

"For now get some sleep, I'll keep watch for a little while."

Kion curled up beside Kopa and almost instantly began snoring. Without thinking, Kopa licked the top of the cub's head and gazed up at the stars. Silently praying that the great kings would watch over them.

Kopa slowly opened his eyes ,funny he didn't remember falling asleep. It took a second, but when Kopa remembered the series of events from yesterday he was instantly awake. Kopa looked at his side and was relieved that Kion was still there. He looked around and saw that all of the lionesses were awake. They were looking in his direction whispering and muttering to one another. Probably talking about him,...okay definitely talking about him. One lioness with grey fur came and sat next to him, smiling brightly.

"Hi I'm Furaha."

"Kopa."

The lioness's smile got bigger. "Kopa is such a lovely name. Who's the little one?" she said gesturing to the sleeping cub.

"Kion, my brother." Kopa said and immediately stiffened when he said those words.

"Oh, I knew you guys looked alike. So, he caught you too huh?"

Kopa breathed a sigh "Yea he did. He forced you to stay here as well?"

Furaha shed a tear "Yes he did. It was years ago when I was passing by with my mother. He attacked us I survived, my mother didn't." The lioness paused before continuing.

"I was forced to be his queen and have cubs. I gave birth to a female, and the day after she was born." Her breath hitched "HHhhe kkilled her...because he wwanted...wanted a son." she forced out.

"He ddid that with all of the lionesses, which is why there are no cubs in our pride."

Kopa opened his mouth and then closed. There were no words that he could say to make her situation better. So he let her cry into his shoulder, offering her silent comfort.

"Sorry sorry," she said composing herself

"I came over here to cheer you up. But I guess it was me who needed it." Furaha said laughing.

Kopa smiled "No need to apologize."

"I have to get going it was nice to meet you" Furaha said getting up.

Kopa stood up "See you around."

Once the lioness was gone Kopa pushed Kion awake.

"Up ya get sleepy head."

Kion fell to his side and grumbled irritated

"What was that for?"

Kopa smirked " I had to get you up one way or another, and you're a heavy sleeper."

"Come on I'm going to hunt and it's going to take a while since I never hunted in the mountains before."

Kopa carefully climbed down to a lower level of the mountain and waited for the cub to join him. Since Kion was way smaller than Kopa, he was taking a really long time to climb down. Kopa waited a few more seconds before grasping the cub's scruff and setting Kion down beside him.

"Hey! I could've got down by myself." His brother shrieked

Kopa rolled his eyes. "Yeah, by the time the sun burns out of the sky."

Kopa wandered around the area for a while and spotted a big bushpig.

"Stay here." Kopa whispered

Kion nodded and backed away not wanting to get in the way of Kopa's hunt.

The young lion crouched down and tried to be as light on his feet as possible. He was used to hiding in tall grass and just relying on stealth alone was new and quite hard for Kopa. Once he got close enough, he pounced aiming at the pig's neck. With his paw, he covered the animal's nose to stop it from breathing. The animal was still struggling, so Kopa bent down and bit the animal once again, hard. The pig went limp and Kopa climbed off of the animal and put it on his back.

"Come Kion, lets get back before Mtawala starts looking for us."

Kion attempted to follow but struggled to climb up due to his small paws. Kopa once again, bent down and picked up the cub.

"I can climb up myself you know." Kion grumbled

"Yeah sure."

Kiara had gotten everything she could ask for. She had brought the pride together, found the love of her life but she still felt like something was missing. She twisted in different positions trying to sleep but eventually gave up. She went outside and gazed up at the stars. All of the great kings and queens or members of the royal family had their own individual star. She had found Mufasa, Ahadi, even Uru, but she could never find her brothers' stars. Every night she thought it would be the night to find them but it never happened.

"Look up." A voice told her.

Kiara looked around not knowing where the voice came from but no one was there.

"Look up." it repeated

"Look up and find your brothers' stars."

Kiara obeyed looking franticly then she realized they didn't have stars. They don't have stars! A trail of flowers appeared definitely leading to them.

"Go" The voice said "Go find your brothers."

"Kiara?"

Kiara sprang up startled.

"Kovu I need to go, I'll be back as soon as a can look after my dad ok?"

"I'll go with you.."

"No!" Kiara interrupted "My parents will be devastated when I'm gone. You need stay here."

Kovu nodded "Be careful."

Kiara smiled "I will." And she ran following the trail that led to her brothers.
