Emily rode the elevator up to the floor of Tony's office, then knocked before she entered.

"You don't need to knock Emily, just come in." Tony called out from where he was seated at his desk.

She opened the door, then shut it behind her. "Good afternoon," she said with a smile.

"Well, it was good." Tony sighed. "I was sent some reports from the doctor and some treatment options that we need to discuss." He told her, motioning for her to have a seat.

Emily nodded and walked up to his desk and took a seat across from him. "What is it Tony? Will he be able to recover?"

"Part of the problem is that wound in his side, the muscle that runs through there is well... more or less destroyed. The doc wants to do an MRI to see how bad the damage is. Do you think you can sedate him without incident?" Tony asked her.

"I might be able to talk him into doing the MRI without anything. He doesn't like being sedated," she replied. "While I was with you last night, he had a nightmare and swears people attacked him and hurt his side again. He's lucky he didn't bust any sutures, but he's okay."

Tony nodded. "I already watched the footage. The nurses tried to help but he was disoriented. If he won't agree to the scans, can you sedate him?" He asked her again.

Emily bit her lip. "Only if it's absolutely necessary. I didn't put a new IV in his arm because I don't want him to reinjure himself."

"He needs a new line regardless. It's the easiest way to control his medication and keep him hydrated." Tony explained to her.

"If I have to, I'll put in another one. But he's had pain pills recently and is currently sleeping," she explained. "What are you looking for in the new MRI? He's already had one."

"The doc said he needs a new line." Tony reiterated. "The MRI is to determine the level of muscle damage. The previous scan was to mostly check his overall internal damage. If the damage affects his leg, it will change how soon he can start trying to walk." Tony explained.

Emily nodded. "I'll put in a new line when the other meds are wearing off and he's awake."

"Good. His MRI is scheduled for five tonight. He will need to be ready by then." Tony replied. "Good job with the sauce, his face was priceless." He chuckled.

"You were watching?" Emily questioned, her eyes narrowed. "It was an accident. I didn't expect him to drink it." She sighed and quickly pulled her hair into a bun out of stress. "Let Loki sleep for now. I'll talk to him soon."

"I check in frequently given his threat level." Tony admitted without shame. "He can sleep for now, but he's expected to be ready on time. His entire treatment depends on it."

Emily looked down and checked her phone for the time. "It's only one now, he can sleep for a while. The medicine will hopefully be out of his system enough before a new IV is put in." She let out a soft sigh, then put her phone on the edge of his desk. "How has your day been?"

"Other than watching the soy sauce, it's been long and stressful. How do you feel about quick blowjobs?" He asked her, being completely serious.

She rolled her eyes at him, but stood to walk around the desk and boldly sat in his lap. "I don't know about blowjobs, but I can make out with the best of them."

"Have you ever tried it before? It's very simple." Tony smirked, holding her hips.

"I have, but I'm not good at them," Emily admitted softly, then leaned down to capture his lips. "I've missed you today."

He moaned softly into the kiss. "Practice makes perfect." He said with a little grin.

Emily smiled into the kiss as she ran her hands up his arms, to his shoulders. "I don't know Tony... in your office?"

"I have another meeting in fifteen minutes, so yes." He replied.

She quickly captured his lips once more as she kneaded his shoulders before her hands traveled downward to his jeans and unbuttoned them. "I'll try my best... what do I get in return?"

He moaned into the kiss again and caressed her sides. "What do you want in return?"

Emily moved to stand and partially pulled down his jeans to expose his length. "What if I want a date? Just you and me?"

"You know it's not fair to negotiate with a man while you have his pants down... alright, I will take you on a dinner date tomorrow." He promised her, already growing aroused.

She smiled as she moved to stand on her knees between his legs. "That would be amazing."

"Jarvis, schedule the date." Tony told the AI as he laced his fingers into her hair the best he could with how it was put up.

"It is scheduled sir," Jarvis droned.

Emily ran her hands along his legs and thighs, moving towards his groin with each pass. "I'm looking forward to it."

"I'm looking forward to your lips at the moment." Tony said, watching her every move.

She ran her hands on either side of his groin before she gently wrapped her hand around him. "I could understand why."

Tony groaned softly when she finally made contact with his member. "You sure do know how to tease..."

"I thought you liked it?" Emily asked. "Do you want me to be different?"

"I do like it, I just don't want to be late for the meeting." He admitted then lightly bucked his hips to encourage her.

Emily smirked at him, then bent down to engulf him into her mouth, moaning softly at the taste of his skin.

Tony gave a louder moan and bucked his hips into her mouth. "Damn your mouth is hot." He said, enjoying it.

She looked up at him while she continued to please him, moving slowly, taking as much as she could in her mouth. Emily removed her mouth to breath a bit better and kissed the tip of his length. "Would you rather it be cold? If you have ice, it can be arranged."

"No, I like the heat." He groaned, fully aroused now. "I have to leave in five minutes."

Emily took him in her hand and quickly began stroking him. "You're gonna owe me," she taunted.

"I'm taking you on a date as agreed." He reminded her, then he moaned louder, feeling the pleasure build.

"I am eager to see what you plan," she replied as she licked around the head of his length while she continued to stroke him. "Close Tony?"

"Y-yes..." he moaned in reply, tensing as he neared his climax. With a final buck of his hips, he released with no warning to her.

Emily had pulled her head away just in time, but watched as his release covered her hand. She stood and reached for tissues on his desk and grabbed a handful. "Feel better?"

"Yes, that will hold me over until tonight. What time will you be at the penthouse?" He asked her as he grabbed a couple tissues to clean himself.

"I can't stay the night Tony, no matter how much I want to," Emily replied. "Loki will be rather stressed with the MRI."

"You don't have to stay the night. Just a few hours for a better screwing and some cuddling." He told her.

She shook her head at him, but smiled. Emily hovered over him, bracing her arms on the sides of his chair. "I'll see you at eight?" She asked, then pecked his lips.

"Eight it is." He confirmed then pulled her into a deeper kiss. "I don't care how much he throws a fit about you leaving, I will be naked in my penthouse at eight."

Emily chuckled and kissed him again, unable to help herself. "I can't wait to see you again."

"Wear something sexy." He grinned. "I'm looking forward to seeing you again too."

"I don't have much with me... maybe I'll wear my pjs for you," she replied, then pecked his lips again. "Go to your meeting, don't forget to button your jeans back." Emily reluctantly pulled away from him, stood and straightened her clothes, then her hair.

"I will have Pepper pick something up for you. She will bring it to you by seven." He promised her.

Emily stood by his office door. "You don't have to do that Tony, not unless you want to."

"I like to spice things up a bit." Tony admitted. "What color would you like?"

She shrugged. "I like green honestly. Or purple."

"Purple works for me too. Can I talk you into a little striptease tonight?" He asked with a smirk.

"Maybe with the right music," she teased. "You're going to be late Tony," she added.

"I will make sure to have the right music then." He replied, then looked at the clock. "I have a good reason for being late." He joked, then stood up and pulled his pants up, redoing the zipper and button. "Don't keep me waiting tonight." He told her as he headed out of the office.

Emily followed him and made sure to be on the same elevator, although she pushed the button for a different floor. "I won't be late. If I am, I will make it up to you." She leaned over and kissed his cheek just as the elevator opened to her floor. "I'll see you later."

Loki was awake again by time Emily returned. He had gotten ahold of his old IV lines and had busied himself with braiding it into what looked like a tiny fishing net. When Emily walked in, she couldn't hide the smile on her face. "Get bored?" She asked.

"It is the only thing I have found to do in this place." Loki said, not looking up from his work with the tubing.

"If you'd like, I can try and find some things to occupy you. I know I would be bored out of my mind in your shoes," she replied as she walked up to his bedside and sat on the edge.

"I am bored. I can't even get up and walk around right now." Loki complained. "This stuff is very hard to work with." He said, holding up the tubing.

Emily furrowed her brow in thought. "I could get yarn, if you like that sort of thing. Or books? When you learn our language, I can teach you to write it and such too."

"Yarn? What is that? I need net twine." He explained, hoping there was something similar on Midgard. "I do like to read, but it will be a while before I can read your language well enough."

"Yarn is something you can do a lot of crafts with. You can make blankets, clothes, hats, pillows, and so much more," She explained. Emily took a deep breath, knowing she had to tell him about the MRI that was scheduled that evening. "Loki, I need to explain something to you."

"Can you teach me to make more than just fish nets?" He asked her curiously. When her tone shifted, he eyed her suspiciously. "I get the feeling I'm not going to like this..."

"You're scheduled for a procedure this afternoon," Emily stated gently. "We are going to check your body to see how damaged your side is and check on your head injury. How we do it is have you lay down on a flat surface and you lay in a tunnel. It's loud when the procedure is done, but it does not hurt. The only thing that you may dislike is the tunnel is really small, just big enough to put any person inside."

"That sounds horrible, I doubt this will actually happen. Me and small spaces don't do so well together." He explained, not wanting to admit to how badly he could panic.

"I get that, believe me. I hate MRI machines myself. Sometimes I get so bad they have to give me something to stay calm," she replied. "If you want, I can do the same for you, through a new IV."

"Are you talking about knocking me out? It sounds to me like this entire thing is a bad deal. Let's just not. With some rest, I'll be fine." He said firmly.

Emily shook her head. "No, not knock you out, just a medicine that will keep you calm and relaxed. You'll be awake."

"No thank you. I don't want to get stuffed into a tunnel, I know I'll panic... even with the medicine." He finally admitted.

"Loki," she said softly, reaching for his hand. "The medicine will help, I promise. I know it's terrifying and you feel like you have no control. Anxiety sucks. But trust me, it helps."

He gave her hand a gentle squeeze. I'm not healing, my brother has left, and I'm scared... "Fine, but only once. If I can't handle it, it's over and will never be attempted again."

Emily nodded and squeezed his hand in return. "Thank you for trusting me. Would it be okay if I went ahead and prepared a new IV for you?"

"What all does it entail? I woke up with the other one already in me, so I don't know what to expect from it." He told her.

"Well, I will find a vein in your arm, then you'll feel a prick when I put the needle in, then tape it to your arm," she explained. "It will have a little tube that will allow me to attach any IV drip or give you any medicine you need."

"How badly is it going to hurt?" He asked, really only caring about that since he was already sore.

"It will feel like a firm pinch. It may feel uncomfortable, but you've already dealt with having one in."

"Same deal then, if it's too bad, it's done for good." He said firmly. "But if it works, I want the medicine like that again, it works better and faster."

She nodded and stood as she let go of his hand. "I'll do the IV now then. Your MRI is scheduled for five, so you have a couple hours still."

"Can I see it first, to see what it's going to be like?" He asked, referring to the MRI.

"I can show you a video," he said as she opened a drawer beside his bed and got out the supplies she would need to do is IV.

"Alright, but what is a video?" He asked curiously. He watched her closely, but didn't question what she was doing.

Emily bit her lip as she opened a packet that held the IV needle and grabbed the tape and a band to help her get a good vein. "I don't know how to explain it. A video is a recording of something that has already happened. It can be for entertainment or educational."

"That doesn't really help. I will just wait and see it when you're done with this." Loki agreed and held his arm out to her.

She smiled at him as she wrapped the band just above his elbow, making the veins in his arm show up more. Then Emily felt for a good vein and prepared the needle. "Ready?" She asked.

"No, but go ahead." Loki told her and looked away. Whatever was about to happen, he didn't want to see it.

Emily caressed his arm. "Okay, one, two, and three," she stated, though she pricked him on two and quickly secured it in place with tape. "All finished."

"What do you mean? I haven't felt anything yet." He replied, expecting considerably more pain than he had felt.

"Your IV is in," she answered happily.

"That was not nearly as bad as I expected." Loki admitted and looked over at his arm. "Now what?"

"I will give you any medicine you need through your IV. Though now all we have to do is wait for your appointment." Emily threw away the trash from doing his IV, then sat back in the chair by his bed. "I'll give you the calming medicine a half hour before we'll take you."

"How are you going to take me there when I'm not sure if I can walk yet?" He asked curiously.

"I can either roll you in your bed, or put you in a wheelchair," she replied.

"Can we try the chair thingy? I feel like moving will help some of the aches I've been feeling." He explained.

She nodded. "Yes we can. If you're up for it, maybe I can see if you can sit in a chair for a few hours a day too."

"If it goes good this time, it might be nice to sit more. I wish I could walk around right now." He said truthfully.

"I wish you could too. It'll be a little while before you can and if you keep being unable to heal, you may need physical therapy," Emily replied. "But hopefully we'll be able to get you out of this room and into a condo sooner than later."

"Alright, but what is physical therapy and what is a condo?" Loki asked curiously, not familiar with either term. "They sound painful."

Emily held back a chuckle. "Physical therapy will be painful at first, if you will need it. But it will help you get strong again by doing exercises. A condo is a place to live, like a small house."

"Ask anyone you want, there is absolutely nothing you can do to make me exercise. Nothing." He told her, and meant it.

"If you want to get better and feel strong again, you will. You'll be rather weak for a while."

"I have been known to spar, but I never do formal exercise. My own mother will tell you that is a lost cause." He replied, not even willing to consider it.

Emily sighed. "It's not formal Loki. It's to help your body heal so you will gain full range of motion again."

"I get plenty of exercise running away from trouble I've caused." Loki said and relaxed against his pillow, not concerned about the impact of the exercising.

She chuckled, then curled up in the chair. "I can imagine that you are a troublemaker."

"More of a trouble finder and coordinator." Loki chuckled. "I just like to shake things up a bit."

You made a whole mess of trouble two weeks ago. She shook her head and smiled. "I believe it."

"I still don't know how I ended up here though. This is more trouble than even I get into." He told her, still struggling with his memory.

She reached up to grasp his hand. "I know it's hard. Hopefully we can help you heal and get better."

Loki squeezed her hand. "I want to get better and go home. I don't want to miss out on ruining my brother's coronation again." He smirked.

Emily let herself caress the back of his hand, wanting to give him some sort of comfort. "If it's any consolation, when you do go back, I'll miss you. I know it's weird. I know you've done a lot of bad things here. But I view you as a friend."

He looked at her curiously. "Bad things? What exactly did I do?" He asked her, wanting to know.

She furrowed her brow. "You... you don't know what you did here in New York two weeks ago?"

"I vaguely remember being here... I was in the tower, in rubble and then I was taken out in chains. That's all I really remember... but it doesn't make any sense." He closed his eyes as his head began to hurt.

He really doesn't know! Emily moves to sit on the edge of his bed. "What's the last memory you have that isn't fuzzy to you and doesn't bother your head?"

"The last memory with no issues at all is my brother's coronation. I know stuff happened after that... there was a fight with Odin... I think I tried to kill myself... and it all goes black from there." He said, rubbing his temples..

"I'm sorry Loki," she replied softly. Emily quickly pulled out her phone and texted Tony the news. "You showed up at a secret location through a portal. A few things happened in between but you led an invasion of aliens to New York."

"Woah... secret portals, sure... I have never led an invasion before... that's not even my style." He insisted.

"You carried a long staff with a blue orb on the top and you commanded people with it, took over minds."

Loki gave her a look of disbelief. "You actually believe this nonsense? If I was going to do... whatever it is, it would not be like that. I am elegant and graceful."

"Oh, you were... the footage from Germany, though graphic, was stunning."

"I don't understand, what is foot age?" He asked, feeling even more confused.

"I'm sorry. I keep forgetting. It's another video," she explained, then checked the time on her phone.

"Are you going to show me about the videos?" He asked her. "I never did anything here in this area. I don't know what happened."

"Oh, that's right!" Emily quickly got on her phone and searched for an MRI video, then handed it to Loki. "Just press the triangle and watch the screen."

Loki took the phone and figured out how to make the video play after a moment. His face grew increasingly horrified as he watched. "No, I want no part of this."

"All it does is take pictures, Loki. See? The person came back out just fine, no issues at all," she said softly.

"Fine, but my original terms still apply." He said firmly. "What is this other... foot age you have?"

Emily gently took the phone from his hand and looked up the footage from the charity event in Germany. "Here you go," she said softly.

Loki nervously took the phone and turned the video on. Only a few seconds in, he dropped it and held his head. "Make it stop!"

She quickly stopped the video and tossed it onto her bunk. "Loki!" Emily cradled his head in her lap and rubbed his back. "Even viewing the past messes with your head. We need to figure out how to help you."

Loki gasped for air as he calmed down. He curled up closer to Emily for comfort as the pain slowly subsided. "I don't know why this keeps happening." He said shakily.

"I don't know either, but I will do everything I can to help you," she replied. Emily kept running his back and massaging the back of his neck. "Your appointment is soon. Do you want the medicine?" She asked softly.

"If it will help my head, yes, I want it." He told her, then slowly moved so she could get it. "Thank you... for giving me a chance."

Emily stood and walked over to the cart that held all of the meds and retrieved the syringe she needed. "Nobody is born evil or bad. It's learned or there's something that causes the action." She sat by the bed and caressed his arm. "I just knew you were a good person when we met." After she checked the syringe she inserted it into his IV tap. "There. You should feel better soon."

"I have done unfavorable things in the past, but whatever they say I did... I didn't do it." He told her, then relaxed as the medicine started to take effect.

She caressed his arm as she watched his body relax. "We'll figure it out Loki. I'll talk with your brother about it."

"Is he even still around? He hasn't been to see me again." He told her, curious as to what was going on.

Emily nodded. "As far as I know, he's still here. Would you like to see him?" She asked.

"Not really. I just want to know if he learned anything from his visit home, that's all." Loki mumbled, very relaxed now from the medication.

"I am sure he's back. I think. I'll ask Tony, I promise." Emily looked over to the door when a nurse knocked, signaling it was time for his appointment. "Do you still want in a wheelchair?"

"Can I nap first? So sleepy." He said, close to falling asleep.

"Would it be better to take him in the bed?" The nurse asked softly.

Emily nodded and stood. "Yeah, he's getting to be pretty out of it. I'm not leaving his side though. I want him to be able to hear me at all times."

"You will have to remove anything that might interfere with the machine, you can't have any metal at all." The nurse explained to Emily. "It will take several of us to move him between the beds, do you think it will be safe for us to do that?"

"He doesn't have any metal on him," she assured. "Is Thor back? He can lift him on his own, if he is."

"You need all metal off of you as well, if you are going to stay in here with him." The nurse clarified. "All I do is work the MRI, I would have no way of knowing if he's here."

Emily removed her ring and her necklace and placed them on the side table. "I will help you as best I can. He's very heavy, denser than we are."

"I have several of the stronger nurses standing by to help, I just needed to make sure he wasn't going to lash out anyone." She said, and unlocked the wheels on the bed. "Take the end since he will easily see you there while we're moving."

She nodded and followed as the muse wheeled him out. "We're going to your MRI Loki. I know your drowsy, but I'm right here."

Loki gave a little nod. "Don't leave me." He mumbled, scared still.

"I wouldn't dream of it," Emily said softly as they turned down a hallway, towards a bigger elevator.

"How long will he stay drowsy?" The nurse asked as she pushed the button and opened the elevator doors, then backed inside with the gurney. "The scans can take anywhere from thirty to sixty minutes."

"A couple of hours at least," she replied. "Maybe longer than that. It's hit him kinda heavy."

"Are you prepared to give more sedative if needed?" She asked, and punched in the floor number they needed.

"I have one syringe on me, but I don't want to overdose him," she answered as she glanced down at him to see he was watching the numbers on the elevator change. "I'll only give him more if I have to."

"The staff needs to be kept safe as well. I have orders from Mr. Stark himself. If he becomes too agitated and you are unable to control him, I am to administer a tranquilizer." She explained as the elevator opened again.

Emily narrowed her eyes. "As long as he can at least hear me, we should have no problems. Loki trusts me." She helped the nurse wheel him back out into another hallway, then towards the room that held the MRI machine.

"I know that isn't what you want to hear, but it's a precaution for our safety and his." She said firmly. She led them down the hall and into the MRI room where four male nurses were waiting to help move Loki.

"I know," she said softly. Emily rubbed Loki's arm gently. "We're in the MRI room Loki. We're going to move you to the other bed so you can go in the tunnel, okay?"

"No, I don't want to." Loki mumbled, though not actually arguing. "I want more of the food you brought last time..."

"I'll get you some when we go back to your room." Emily nodded at the nurses. 'Go slow as you can," she mouthed.

"We aren't in the room?" He asked, very out of it. "Not the spicy food, the other food, okay?" He mumbled as he drifted off again. As soon as he was out again, the nurses got into position and quickly but carefully moved Loki, managing to never wake him.

She smiled and stood off to the side of the machine and let the nurses do their job.

The nurses all went into the separate viewing room. Once they were ready, she started slowly moving the exam bed into the machine. "Make sure his IV doesn't catch." She called out to Emily.

Emily nodded and held out his IV tube so it wouldn't catch on the machine. "He's doing well so far."

"I'm going to start it up now, make sure the noise doesn't startle him." She called out, then the machine whirred to life. The noise made Loki stir for a minute, then he went back to sleep without incident.

She gave a thumbs up sound, then covered her ears due to the noise.

The machine ran for nearly an hour before it finally went quiet. The nurse stepped out and slowly pulled the exam table out of the MRI. "He did better than expected." The nurse commented. She made sure Loki was still asleep before the men returned and moved him back to his bed.

Emily nodded and smiled. "I'm proud of him, honestly."

"I just want to get him back to his room so he isn't my problem anymore." She said truthfully. After moving his IV cords back to his bed, she started wheeling him out. "The doctor will be in contact sometime today, I've already sent the scans to him." She told Emily.

"Sounds good." Emily followed her back down the hall and back into the elevator. Rude woman.

"This is not my room... what kind of cell is this?" Loki asked, quickly getting worked up as the medication wore off.

Emily moved to where he could see her. "We're in the elevator Loki. We're on the way back to your room now."

"Back? Where did you take me? Why don't I remember any of it?" He asked, starting to work himself into a panic.

"Hey, hey. Shhh," she said soothingly. "You remember, we went down the long hallway before and was in this same elevator. You watched the numbers and talked about wanting chinese food."

Loki slowly calmed down and nodded. "Right... I thought that was a dream..."

She shook her head as the elevator dinged. "Nope. I was with you the whole time."

"I know you were there, I heard you talking to me." He replied and fully relaxed as they took him back into his room.

Emily watched as the nurse locked his wheels in place then silently left the room. "Yes, I was."

"Did the m...r... thing say what's wrong with me?" He asked curiously.

"I don't know yet," Emily replied as she sat on her bunk. "I haven't seen the scans myself and I don't know enough to read them precisely."

"How long do we have to wait to find out?" He asked impatiently.

"Not too long, I hope," she answered. "Why don't you get some sleep. I'm right here, and might take a nap too."

"You promise you won't leave?" He asked, not wanting to be alone.

She smiled over at him, her own eyes feeling heavy. "I promise. I'll be right here when you wake up."

"Alright, lights off please." Loki said, then closed his eyes to doze off.

"Jarvis, did the lights please," Emily said quietly.

"Yes Miss Porter."

Emily yawned and laid back on her bunk and curled up with her pillow, falling asleep quickly.
