It was later that night and the start of the night's pro-bending match was fast approaching. Tonight's matchup was promising one: the Ember Island Eel Hounds were facing the undefeated Capital City Catgators, it was a matchup the very best benders the Fire Nation had to offer.

Asami and Korra were aboard the ferry from Air Temple Island back to Republic CIty proper. It was turning into a cool spring night, the sun was just beginning to set on the water creating a relaxing view against the island in comparison to the busy city that was coming into focus.

The duo was headed for Asami's apartment where she could dress for the occasion. Korra had dressed in a pair of black skinny jeans and long sleeved button down top that matched the blue in her eyes with a pair of leather boots. Asami had to admit the avatar looked gorgeous in her outfit, but then again Korra could make potato sack look sexy.

Asami and Korra put distance between themselves as the ferry was crowded with promising young airbenders headed into the city for a fun weekend. Asami was still nervous about her and Korra's relationship public, and based on Mako's reaction the other night Korra was more understanding of her hesitation. The young CEO had her hopes pinned on Korra spending the night at her place.

She was seriously considering offering to have Korra stay with her a more permanent basis. She was hoping it wasn't too soon in their relationship, but her apartment had a spare bedroom.

It just made sense for Asami to offer, Korra's daily work mostly took place in the city attending meetings with leaders and council members as well as making appearances with relief projects and reviewing Asami's projects. To have to commute from Air Temple Island daily seemed ridiculous, especially when they always seemed to end up back at Asami's place anyway.

Then there was the selfish reason that Asami wasn't a fan of staying on the island. It lacked the privacy her apartment afforded them though it did offer beautiful views and scenery. Korra could pickup Asami's nervousness as they stood side by side while the boat docked. Her interest was piqued, but she told herself to drop it not wanting to inadvertently cause a problem before the even Asami had planned for them even started.

Asami's hand found Korra's as they made their onto the crowded sidewalks and into downtown Republic City. As they walked Korra looked off in the distance toward the pro-bending stadium and noticed there was quite an unusual gathering of police and security near the stadium. Finding it odd she pointed it out to Asami who was also intrigued.

Neither one of them had heard anything that would warrant increased security at the event. They shrugged it off, and headed a little further down the street and into Asami's apartment. Korra made herself at home taking a seat on the sofa and tuning the radio to the news station while Asami went into her room to dress.

Asami thumbed through her closet looking for something casual but dressy. After flicking through outfit after outfit she finally settled on a pair of black dress pants and red off the shoulder blouse. She freshened up her makeup and spritzed on her signature lavender perfume and joined Korra in the living room. Immediately, Asami felt Korra's eyes fixate on her, the avatar was drinking in the beautiful sight that was Asami Sato- she was dressed to kill.

It took all of the strength in Korra to keep her hands off of Asami, for if they found her they'd make quick work of clothes and back to her bedroom the pair would go.

"You look very sexy," Korra replied huskily as she shoved her hands in her pockets fighting the urge to run them over Asami's exposed shoulders.

Asami chuckled as she joined Korra on the sofa, settling in in-between her arm and body. She quickly planted soft gentle kiss on her girlfriend's lips.

"You don't look so bad either," Asami teased before planting another soft kiss on Korra's lips, her eyes getting lost in those glacial azure orbs.

The two sat there exchanging gentle kisses, getting lost in the moment until the radio announced it was the top hour, it was now seven at night, they needed to make it to the stadium in thirty minutes or miss the start of the match. Begrudgingly, Asami tore her lips from Korra's and the two began composing themselves before heading out the door, though both were left wanting, needing more.

The sidewalks were bursting at the seems as the city was coming alive for the start of the weekend. Luckily for Asami and Korra most of the foot traffic had died down near the arena and they had made it inside and to their box seats with ten minutes to spare before the start of the match. Korra was amazed that not only had Asami bought them seats in the private box, but she had bought the entire box suite. It was just the two of them there with some of the best seats in the house.

"You really shouldn't have done this," Korra remarked as she took a seat front and center marveling at how close to the action they were going to be.

"I wanted to," Asami replied earnestly taking a seat beside Korra and bring her lips to the avatar's hand.

Asami had never actually had seats this close before, she was excited for the start of the match, it was going to be thrilling to be able let loose and really enjoy the match without having to worry about someone she loved getting hurt. The stadium lit up in preparation for the match to begin. From their seats Asami was able to spy why there was extra police and security measures tonight.

In the box directly across arena from them was the one of the last people Asami expected to see and one of the last people she wanted to see Prince Brasa along with his Princess Ursa.

Brasa was unmistakable, his tall stature, piercing amber eyes(even those stood out from a great distance they were unmistakable) and smooth black hair pulled into a top knot, he even had the same scruffy beard he had been sporting back when they were teenagers. He still resembled his older brother Iroh, just taller, more rugged. When in private his long hair was unkempt even messy as he had general disdain for wearing the more formal traditional top knot. She had to admit he was still breathtaking, but she wasn't interested.

She mentally kicked herself, she should have known he would travel anywhere to see the best benders in the Fire Nation face off. It would be disrespectful if a member of the royal family did not show up in support of their home teams which happened to be the two best teams in the league at the moment.

Asami just hoped Brasa didn't see her, the last thing she wanted was to talk to him and hear him bring up the prospect of renewing their betrothal. She couldn't count the number of times and ways she had told him she wasn't interested, but as royalty no was something he wasn't use to hearing.

Princess Ursa on the other hand been a good friend of Asami's during her time in the Fire Nation, the pair had become fast friends at the Royal Fire Academy for Girls and she had regretted not staying in contact with her.

Asami spotted Mako in their box and assumed he'd been assigned as a security detail, afterall he knew the arena like the back of his hand having spent most of his free time training here when he was a player on the circuit.

"Who is Mako with?" Korra asked once her eyes had located exactly what Asami was glaring at.

"That would be Prince Brasa and his sister Princess Ursa," Asami sighed expecting Korra to have more questions now that there was a face to her ex.

"Wait Brasa as in your ex?" Korra asked inquisitively, the man was gorgeous and yet Asami had talked so casually of him as if he were nothing... it was intriguing to Korra.

"The very same," she replied through puckered lips, not wanting to have the conversation that she felt was inevitably coming up.

"Wow," Korra mumbled, she had not pictured her girlfriend's ex to be such a sight.

"Korra there is something I should probably tell you about Prince Brasa incase he comes over here," Asa,i started knowing it was better if she just told her up front then if she found out while Asami was arguing with Brasa.

Korra felt a knot tighten in her stomach as she eyed the handsome prince from across the arena. What was Asami keeping from her, was all she could think. They had been open and honest with each other about just about everything. She wondered if Asami was regretting being with her. Korra gulped and nodded for Asami to continue, she was ready for whatever she had to say.

"Things have changed with my standing in the Fire Nation. My family back there is trying to arrange another betrothal for me even though I have told them I am not interested. Brasa keeps contacting me, wanting renew what we had. I have told him no more times than I can count, but he doesn't seem to take no for an answer," Asami confessed, this information was the gist of the private letters she kept locked in the top drawer of her work desk.

"So, show him you're with me now," Korra replied as if things were that simple.

"Arranged marriages are legal in the Fire Nation, but not in Republic City. I hold dual citizenship. It isn't that easy," Asami replied glumly.

The information hit Korra like a ton of bricks. Would Asami be taken from her? Would Brasa really take her against her will? What could she do as avatar to stop it?

The worry on Korra's face broke Asami's heart, she didn't want Korra to think of the possibilities until they knew what Brasa's endgame was. But, she knew Korra, she was strategizing and planning already, expecting the worse.

"Korra, relax. He hasn't reached out in awhile. I am sure he is just here for the match. Whatever happens we will get through it," Asami said soothingly.

She wanted to cup Korra's face in her hands and bring those carmel lips to her own ruby red ones, but there were so many wandering eyes- she didn't know if she was ready to go public yet. But the dejected look on Korra's face was like a knife to the heart. Asami reached over interlocking her finger's with Korra's and brought the avatar's hand to her lips and gently kissed it.

Korra gave her a half smile, but she couldn't deny the thought of losing Asami was weighing heavy on her mind. She appreciated Asami's honesty, but now she regretted coming to see the match. If she hadn't come they wouldn't have seen Prince Brasa, and she would still be blissfully ignorant of the situation.

The entire time, Asami held her hand, lovingly tracing intricate patterns on the back of it, trying to soothe Korra. It was working as she felt the tension start to dissipate, and the warmth of Asami's touch take its place. Throughout the night Asami held her hand alternating between tracing patterns and rubbing circles on the back of her hand both soothing and arousing Korra. It was amazing what Asami could do to her with a simple touch

Meanwhile In Prince Brasa's Private Box

Mako nervously opened the door to the private suite where Prince Brasa and Princess Ursa were sitting, Chief Beifong had called him to serve as bodyguard for the visiting Fire Nation royals. They had requested Mako personally, though he wasn't sure why, he didn't know them personally. He had met General Iroh a handful of times but they had barely had a proper conversation. According to the chief, it was Prince Brasa and his sister Princess Ursa who had requested him specifically.

He knew Prince Brasa was the youngest of Fire Lord Izumi's children and had at one point been betrothed to Asami but other than that he didn't know what to expect from the Prince. Princess Ursa on the other hand was rumored to be quite a beauty and he knew she'd been a friend of Asami's, but other than that these people were foreign to him.

He didn't have a clue why they would request him for the duration of their stay in Republic City, but he was grateful because their request overrode King Wu's request for him.

He was free from his duty from serving as the earth king's bodyguard, at least for now, which was a miracle. Wu, was inept at well everything to say the least. Mako hated being his bodyguard the first time around when he was a mere prince, but now as king he was willing to bet his salary Wu's demands would only be magnified.

As he entered the suite he was immediately struck by Princess Ursa. She was petite, and was all of maybe five foot and four inches and if she weighed one hundred and fifteen pounds it was a lot.

Ursa had long auburn locks done up in top knot, but it didn't hide the curly wave to her hair, her eyes were soft hue of amber, and her facial features were soft and inviting. Her brother on the other hand cut an imposing figure.

Prince Brasa was tall, well over six feet, and muscular. He had dark raven hair pulled into a traditional top knot, on his face was a scruffy beard and he had imposing, fierce amber eyes. On his face however was a welcoming smile that just didn't match the rugged, tough figure he created.

"Hello, your highnesses. I am Detective Mako. I will be your bodyguard," Mako announced bowing in the traditional Fire Nation manor to the pair of siblings.

"So you are Asami's Mako?" Ursa asked ignoring the formalities, she never liked them. She knew she'd never seen the throne in her lifetime and found the customs to be outdated and stuffy, they were just too formal and not her style at all.

She used them when she had, around her mother and Iroh and in official capacities, but if Mako was a friend of Asami's, he was a friend of hers. The princess couldn't help but notice the detective was attractive, she recognized him from his days on the pro-bending circuit and was delighted to see his physique was the same. The first impression Mako made on her, left her wanting know him on a romantic level.

"She and I had dated, now we're just good friends, Princess-" Mako started to reply before Ursa cut him off.

"Please, it is just Ursa. No need to be so formal. I feel such titles are antiquated and rather stuffy. I don't see why she let you go," Ursa replied with the last part her voice dropped as she flirted so her brother wouldn't over hear the banter between the two.

"So Asami is single again?" Brasa inquired as he gestured for Mako to sit between him and his sister.

Mako wasn't sure what to say. Asami and Korra had been extremely private about their relationship. On the other hand, this man was once betrothed to Asami and he knew he wanted her back. It would serve his purpose well if he could reunite Brasa and Asami leaving Korra available for himself.

"I am not sure, she is a very private person," Mako responded only half lying.

"Well that's new," Brasa scoffed remembering how Asami had once openly flaunted her relationships, not that it had ever truly bothered him, he had more than his fair share of partners.

Mako gulped and sat silently as the lights in the arena dimmed signaling the match was about to start. He knew Asami had complicated relationship with prince, she had even been betrothed to Brasa when they first started dating. Mako decided he would remain silent on all topics related to Asami's personal life, he would rather appear a fool to these two than face the wrath of Asami.

"I heard you use to be a pro-bender?" Ursa whispered into Mako's ear her lips tickling the gentle flesh.

If he didn't know any better he would guess the princess had a crush on him.

"Yes my brother and I were. Our last year doing it Avatar Korra joined the team. My brother Bolin is an earthbender, so Korra joined as a waterbender," Mako explained thinking fondly of when Korra joined and then remembering that kiss they had shared in the locker room.

Ursa was trying her hardest to flirt with Mako, but the detective seemed distant, immune to her tactics. She decided to step up her game a notch. Gently she reached over placing her hand on his inner thigh and giving it a light squeeze. She watched as she first touched him, he was startled, jumping at her touch. Once he followed the hand back to Ursa a panicked smile sprawled across his face as blush began to set in.

Mako was surprised at Ursa's bold move, never had a girl been so forward with him. He took his hand and placed on hers as the match began. The opening match wasn't the main event, it was the 'new' Future Industries Fire Ferrets vs. the reigning champions the White Falls Wolfbats.

It was really no competition, Asami may be sponsoring the Fire Ferrets but no one spent her money on recruiting a team, that much was obvious, meanwhile Tahno and his gang were still intact and the Wolfbats though not the top team at the moment but was sitting at a respectable number three.

Mako's eyes scanned the crowd looking to see if Asami was present, he figured she would come to the arena and see how the team she sponsored was doing. It wasn't long before he spotted her across the arena, but it wasn't her that his eyes were drawn to- it was Korra. Though her outfit was modest, it was a change from what she had always worn when they were together. His eyes fell on her hungrily.

Though he knew Ursa was interested in him and he'd be a fool not to see where her interst would lead. He could not help but steal a glance at Korra every now and then. Tonight's matches were a best of seven series, and Mako felt bad for the rebuilt Fire Ferrets, it was obvious they couldn't hold their own about halfway into the first match. But after spotting Korra, Mako had lost interest in the match and the small talk with Ursa had become painful for him as his urge to see Korra began to , he sucked it up and remained cordial, he knew Korra was off limits, and he hoped for Asami's sake Brasa didn't spot her and Korra in the crowd.

After the Wolfbats swept the Fire Ferrets in four one-sided matches the intermission came, Mako watched as Korra left her and Asami's box suite. Running on autopilot he stood up, he wanted to speak to the gorgeous avatar, but he had forgotten he wasn't here for pleasure. Prince Brasa rose from his seat to meet Mako.

"Do you want to run with me to grab some food and drinks?" Brasa asked as if Mako had a choice. There was security outside the door so Ursa could remain inside.

"Sure," Mako mumbled following Brasa out into the crowd and to the concession stands.

As luck would have it Mako and Brasa were in line behind Korra.

"Hey Mako," Korra said enthusiastically as she turned around seeing her former team mate. Her eyes landed on Brasa and she sized him up, he was an imposing figure sure, but she wasn't intimidated. She wouldn't let him bully his way into getting Asami back. As she studied him, Korra decided almost instantly she disliked him, it wasn't just because he wanted Asami back, there was something about him she couldn't quite place but she was certain in the fact that she had a great disdain for him.

"Hey Korra. Avatar Korra, this is Prince Brasa," Mako said nervously introducing the pair. He could tell from Korra's posture she instantly disliked the prince. He figured she knew about Asami's past with him and perhaps she was as insanely protective of Asami, as Asami had been of her earlier that day.

"Avatar Korra, such a pleasure to meet you. I have heard nothing but good things about you," Prince Brasa said extended his hand. Korra grabbed his hand crushing it in vice like grip as she shook it.

Brasa was taken aback by her aggressive nature, but he had to admit he was interested in the avatar. She was fiery, intense, and gorgeous. His eyes lingered on her as she turned around advancing the line. The rest of the time in the line was uneventful and the men returned to the suite with alcohol for the royalty and Mako just got water. Mako had noticed the way Brasa eyed Korra, and was immediately angry, the man wanted Asami back and he was fine with that. But, lusting after Korra was another beast entirely.

He resumed his seat beside Ursa, this time paying more attention to the attractive princess as the matches got underway.

The main event went all seven rounds with the Ember Island Eel Hounds upsetting the Capital City Catgators. With the final match done, Korra and Asami rushed out of the stadium and and on to the streets, getting lost in the crowds on the sidewalks. They had managed to avoid being noticed by Prince Brasa for the night. Both women were relieved as they rounded the corner and Asami's apartment came into view.

As the two entered Asami's apartment the mutual unspoken worry of losing each other set in. They both knew they were jumping the gun and assuming the worst, Korra couldn't help herself. She had been through so much in the past four years, it seemed like when anything good happened, something worse than before erased it.

As for Asami, she knew Brasa, he didn't give up without a fight. Now that she knew he was in the city she was anticipating a confrontation. She needed for him to accept that she'd found someone. She'd moved on, it wasn't who she had expected to find, but Korra meant everything to her. Asami wanted Brasa to understand much like Mako needed to understand that just because she had moved didn't mean she didn't care about them anymore.

She still loved Brasa, he held a special place in heart, he was her first love and no one could his place. But, it was Brasa who had ended things, put miles between them and they'd spent years apart. What did he expect? She was bound to move on, eventually.

Asami moved closer to Korra on the sofa and the avatar wrapped her arms around her tightly, clinging to her as if she would disappear if she had let go.

"Korra?" Asami struggled to get out through Korra's vice like grip around her.

Korra loosened her embrace and replied "Yes?" sensing Asami wanted to talk.

"Will you stay here tonight?" she asked vulnerably not wanting to lose Korra for even a night.

"Yes," she whispered in Asami's ear before nibbling on it lightly and then kissing her bare neck, moving to her exposed shoulders.

Korra was just as worried about losing Asami whether it was for night or for forever. Asami didn't want Korra to leave, ever. She was afraid if Korra left, she'd lose her forever. She also wanted Korra here if Brasa showed up, she drew her strength from Korra. If Brasa showed up she knew she was going to reveal her relationship with Korra, and wanted her there as backup.

"Korra," Asami moaned as the avatar was working on her jugular with those caramel lips massaging her sensitive pulse point.

"Yes?" Korra whispered her lips brushing lightly against Asami's skin long enough to speak and then they returned to devouring the CEO's flesh once again.

Asami, paused finding it difficult to form coherent thoughts as Korra desperately kissed her neck, biting and sucking her way towards the raven haired woman's lips.

"What if you stayed more permanently?" Asami finally blurted out nervously and a bit breathlessly as Korra lips had found hers, stopping only to allow her to breath.

Korra was quite for a moment. Did Asami just asked her to stay, as in move in? Or was she hearing what she wanted to hear? Korra gulped, she wanted more than anything to stay with Asami.

"I...mean...I...have...an extra bedroom," Asami stammered taking Korra's silence as hesitation and possible disinterest, she was hoping she hadn't messed things up between them.

She wasn't just asking Korra to move in because of the situation with her ex, she genuinely wanted Korra there. She wanted Korra's face to be the last thing she saw at night and the first thing she saw in the morning.

"No,no. I want to stay," Korra replied afraid to ask if this was coming from a place of fear or if Asami had genuinely felt that way before she had seen Prince Brasa tonight.

Asami sensed Korra's concern and pulled her close.

"I wanted to ask you the moment we returned to Republic City," she whispered into Korra's ear before her lips brushed against the soft mocha skin of the avatar's neck.

Hearing those words from Asami's lips put Korra at ease, it confirmed that Asami had wanted this as much as she did. Korra brushed the loose strands of hair away from Asami's face before brushing her lips against hers. She felt right at home when Asami leaned in close, practically sitting on her lap. All Korra could think is how she could get use to this on a daily basis. Everyday coming home to Asami was going to be amazing.

When their lips parted both woman were breathless, and drained emotionally. This night had been an emotional rollercoaster for both of them. Asami had the unfortunate shock of seeing Brasa and the unsettling realization that she was going to have to face him sooner rather than later.

Korra had to absorb the unpleasant situation her girlfriend was in and the realization that Asami may have to turn her back on the Fire Nation and the trouble that would cause all so she remain with Korra. But the best part of the rollercoaster ride was the moment when Korra agreed to live with Asami, both were overjoyed but too exhausted to celebrate properly.

"I am exhausted," Korra yawned as Asami untangled herself from the avatar struggling to stay awake herself.

"Do you want to join me or did you want your own room?" Asami asked suddenly very nervous, self-conscious that Korra had only agreed because she'd have her own room.

"With you. Always," Korra said lovingly kissing Asami quickly.

Asami couldn't fight the blush that crept across her face at Korra's words or the smile it put back on her lips. With those words, Asami had never been more attracted to Korra then she was in that moment. Korra and Asami walked hand in hand back to her bedroom. With no clothes to change into, and exhaustion setting Korra collapsed onto the massive bed, allowing it to embrace her, its softness helped cushion the emotional toll the day had taken on her.

Korra rolled over and watched with hunger as Asami stripped down to nothing and slid into silk teddy. The young raven haired beauty then disappeared into the bathroom to remove the night's makeup. Once in the privacy of the bathroom she couldn't help but let out a low laugh and smile, she'd caught Korra watching her undress, stealing glances at her nude body.

The thought of Korra as voyeur, sort of turned her on, gave her a little thrill. That was the wilder side of Asami she thought she had buried long ago bubbling to the surface now that she found a relationship she felt truly comfortable and safe in.

Wordlessly Asami slid into, immediately seeking the comfort of Korra's waiting arms. Asami laid on her back allowing Korra to envelope her in an embrace, her arms wrapped possessively around the CEO's waist as her face was nuzzled into the crook of her neck with their legs intertwined. Even though she was exhausted, Asami still couldn't fight the ache in her core, as Korra's leg slid between hers, her knee just inches inches from sex, which was already dripping with anticipation from Korra's touch.

The raven haired beauty shifted moving Korra's leg to a slightly less sensitive spot. Asami felt at ease as Korra relaxed into her, she could feel the avatar's breathing start to even out as sleep easily came to Korra in the safety of a shared embrace with her lover. On the other hand, though Asami was exhausted she couldn't quiet settle in for the night. Korra's presence was helping to subdue her worries, but she still had nagging feeling of dread.

Asami took her arm and wrapped it around Korra, her hand began running through Korra's hair, it was distraction from troubles. She smiled noticing Korra was once again letting her hair grow long. Though Asami liked the short look, she had always loved Korra's long locks.

Asami leaned down and kissed the top of Korra's head, drinking in her unique rainy scent. In her arms, Korra stirred re-adjusting her grip and mumbling something unintelligible as her lips brushed against and tickled Asami's neck.

Asami sighed softly, even in her sleep Korra was irresistible. Slowly she began to relax, now that Korra had settled in with arms still firmly gripping Asami. The young CEO closed her eyes and soon sleep over took her too.

Korra awoke early in the afternoon, it was still dark outside, she could sense the rain outside- it was definitely a dreary day. She could feel Asami still sleeping in her arms and smiled as she pushed the loose strands of hair out of Asami's face. Korra felt like the luckiest person alive, she would get to wake up everyday to the sight of Asami. Feeling pure bliss, she softly leaned in planting a gentle kiss on Asami's lips.

The heiress responded in kind, deepening the kiss preventing Korra from pulling away. Korra took Asami's face in her hands, realizing that the CEO was responding to her touch as she slept. Korra pulled away not wanting to take advantage of her girlfriend while she slept. But, Asami wouldn't have any of it as her arms reached for Korra grabbing her, preventing Korra from pulling away.

"Don't stop," Asami begged half asleep, half awake urging Korra on.

Korra froze, unsure if what to do, but then just as quickly as she showed signs of being awake Asami laid back down and began to snore lightly. Korra smiled, wondering just what her girlfriend was dreaming about. Korra highly suspected it was her that Asami was dreaming about. Quietly, Korra slid away from Asami giving her room to spread out and she watched intently, with a smile on her face as Asami slept.

It took all of her effort to keep her hands to herself as she took in just how gorgeous the young CEO looked in her sleep. Not that she wasn't breathtaking when she was awake, but in her slumber there was beautiful peace and zen-like appearance to her beauty. Korra was completely enamored with the raven haired beauty that was her girlfriend.

As the afternoon wore on Korra slipped out of bed and headed into the kitchen to put on a pot of tea. Her nerves were starting to creep up on her, and a cup of jasmine tea would soothe her mind. As the kettle was heating up, Korra heard Asami's footsteps on the floor coming toward the kitchen. She felt the slender alabaster arms wrap around her waist as Asami hugged her closely.

"Good morning... well afternoon," Asami murmured in Korra's ear before nibbling lightly on her earlobe and then working down on to her neck, working the sensitive flesh.

Asami was elated, she could get use to Korra being one of the first sights she saw every morning. It made her positively radiate with joy. As she hung onto Korra she drank in her unique scent, it made her body ache for the water tribe woman.

Korra had forever ruined rainy days for her- they'd always be associated with the beautiful avatar and her gentle touch. the nights they spent together. Indeed, rainy days no longer carried innocent memories the scent of them alone made her wet to in her very core.

"It is now," Korra replied huskily, turning so their lips met hungrily. Asami kissed her hard, biting her lip playfully at first then aggressively as she urged Korra on letting the avatar know just what exactly she wanted.

Asami giggled when their lips parted, Korra's hands cupping her face as she locked eyes with hers, looking deep inside of her sensing Asami's wanton desires. Korra could feel Asami trembling as her arms gripped the avatar tighter while knees began to buckle under Korra's intense gaze. Asami backed Korra up against the kitchen wall, her hands hungrily exploring Korra's body.

The CEO stole gentle caresses of the avatar's ass, and then her breasts. Her hands lingering long enough to make Korra moan and quiver before moving on to the next sensitive spot. She took her knee and spread Korra's legs apart, resting her own knee in between the avatar's thighs.

Asami didn't have to feel through the fabric to know her girlfriend was already wet and waiting, ready for her. Unable to take Asami's torturous touches anymore, Korra turned the tables pinning Asami against the wall.

Korra planted a knee buckling kiss on Asami's lips catching her as knees gave way. Automatically the jade eyed beauty wrapped her legs around the avatar's waist, her dripping core grinding into Korra's waist as the avatar leaned harder against Asami closing the distance between their bodies, sandwiching Asami between Korra and the wall.

Korra moaned into Asami's lips as the raven haired beauty's tongue slid across her lips gaining entrance to the avatar's mouth. Asami lightly sucked on Korra's tongue, it was enough to make the avatar lose her wits as she felt the familiar tingling sensation between her legs.

Korra panted, catching her breath as her body ached for Asami, she was so wet, positively dripping for Asami. Each touch the CEO gave her sent a wave of pleasure coursing through her body, she felt it all culminating in an insatiable pulse in her core. She needed Asami inside her, she needed that release desparately.

There was no doubt as Asami continue grinding against her, that Korra was aroused, she could feel herself growing wetter as desire overtook her actions. The whistle of the teapot drew Korra's attention for a moment, long enough to remove it from the stove and extinguish flame, and for Korra and Asami to move their antics into the bedroom disregarding the fresh made tea.

Once Asami had followed Korra into the bedroom and closed the door, Korra had quickly pinned her against the door, her lips assaulting the CEO's as she once again wrapped her legs around the avatar's waist. Korra could feel Asami's wetness as she pressed their bodies togethers, her dripping sex grinding into Korra's torso as she moaned into Korra's mouth.

Anxious to explore all of Asami, and the feeling was mutual between her and Asami, Korra walked them over to the bed, setting the jade eyed woman down softly on the mattress. Hungrily Asami reached for Korra and began hastily unbuttoning her shirt, as Korra shrugged out of it. Asami could feel her excitement grow as the swell of the avatar's breasts spilled out of her shirt and her bra, as she hastily discarded that too.

Asami's soft, warm hands investigated the curves of Korra's breasts, gently caressing them taking time and care to caress them slowly, to titillate the young water tribe woman. The soft moans she elicited from the avatar's mouth told Asami she was on the right path as she gently took a tender nipple between her fingers and slowly rolled before popping into her mouth, teasing it until became hard.

Korra hissed in delight, unable to form words as Asami continued to work her magic, moving on to her other breast. To keep herself grounded and pace herself Korra ran her long fingers through Asami's raven locks, pushing the hair from her face.

Her fingers, wrapping the hair around themselves, keeping her mind in the moment as Asami tortured her with delight, her mouth working a path south toward the waistband of her pants. Korra gulped as her girlfriend kissed, licked, and nipped a path from the swell of her breasts to the waistband of her pants.

Asami was playing a dangerous game, as Korra grew more and more excited, feeling the wetness between her thighs grow exponential with each strategically placed kissed, each nip, and each stroke of the tongue. Unsatisfied with keeping her hands to herself and allowing Asami to have all of the fun, Korra gently tugged at the hem of Asami's teddy and in one fell swoop rid her of it, exposing her flawless ivory skin.

Korra took in the sight greedily, with a hunger in her eyes as her hands roamed Asami's body freely. Her hands stopped to carrees the globes of her lover's ass giving them a gentle squeeze, it was one the many assets Asami had that she loved. She moaned softly into Korra's shoulder as the avatar's hands moved toward her breasts, cupping them as she fondled them gently with a delicate, teasing touch that was enough to melt Asami in the way only Korra could.

Korra hovered above Asami, her lips working a pathway from her neck to the tuft of hair on her mound as she used her knee to part Asami's legs further preparing her for what was about to come.

For her part, Asami was working on undoing the avatar's pants, but finding it hard to focus as each kiss was a distraction making her lose focus, and forget the task at hand. Each masterful kiss, stroke of the tongue made Asami ache inside as her sex grew wetter, she was ready to feel Korra inside her, she wasn't sure she could wait much longer. Finally Asami freed Korra of her pants and underwear, as her hands slid down her thighs she could feel just how wet Korra truly was for her.

Just as things were heating up, Asami's doorbell chimed alerting the lovers of an unexpected arrival.

"You have got to be kidding me," Korra groaned, the frustration and disappointment in her voice was obvious, once her lips parted from Asami's as she slid off of her lover allowing her to get up. Asami giggled at Korra's reaction as she got out of bed and grabbed her silk robe from the closet, wrapping it tightly around her body and tying it closed.

"I will just be a minute. Wait here," she replied huskily, as if Korra was actually going to go anywhere, she'd wait for Asami for as long as it took.

As Asami rushed to the door she could hear someone knocking loudly on it and what sounded like a familiar voice telling someone to relax. Breathless, Asami opened the door part way to reveal her worst nightmare- Prince Brasa, who was oddly accompanied by Mako once again.

"Good to see you Asami. You're not an easy person to find these days," Brasa said drinking in her appearance, he could tell under her robe she was naked and by the her disheveled appearance coupled with her breathlessness and lack of makeup, he knew he was interrupting something intimate, but he didn't care he'd come to get her back.

Mako looked at Asami's appearance and knew Korra must be there, he shot her an apologetic glance trying to convey this was not his doing. His job was to be a bodyguard to the prince, he couldn't help that the man was an arrogant ass. He could only hope he wouldn't have to face Asami's wrath.

"Brasa, what a surprise," Asami replied standing her ground, she wasn't going to have a conversation with him let alone give him an invitation to come in which is what she was knew he was fishing for.

"I have much to discuss with you," he countered walking closer to Asami, expecting that invitation to come in, Brasa was expecting to deal with the same Asami he knew all of those years ago that would do anything to please him.

"Brasa now is not a good time," Asami replied firmly her voice had a finality to it and it carried ensuring that Korra would hear her and back her up on this.

"Come on Asami. We haven't seen each other in years," Brasa replied pushing his way into the apartment as he put on his sweetest voice in a pleading tone that had always worked on Asami in the past.

She couldn't believe how bold he was being, she eyed Mako cursing him for bringing Brasa here. Mako saw the pissed off look in her eyes and remained in the door frame, he didn't dare step inside, he could only give Asami his sincerest apologetic look.

"Brasa please leave. We can have this discussion another time," she couldn't keep the edge and annoyance out of her voice when she spoke.

"Don't be like that Asami. I come in peace," Brasa replied.

Asami rolled her eyes and his blatant lie- relieved, she could hear Korra's footsteps coming up the hallway.

"What part of leave did you not understand?" Korra questioned the prince. She was disheveled mess as she appeared behind Asami, her shirt was haphazardly buttoned and her hair was mess, it was evident the two had been in the middle of an intimate moment.

"Avatar Korra what a surprise! However, I am sure your avatar skills could be put to better use elsewhere, as this matter is none of your concern," Prince Brasa said bluntly his voice dripping with a fake a kindness, he had already decided he most certainly did not like Korra in that moment.

Korra moved closer to Asami, protectively wrapping her arms around her waist as the young CEO turned kissing Korra deeply, with a distinct hardness and possessiveness to it which caught the avatar off guard.

"Oh but it most certainly is," Asami replied watching the look of shock and disdain for Korra spread across Brasa's face.

"So you're sleeping with the avatar?" Brasa scoffed as if this entire situation was a joke.

"No, I am dating Korra. She is my girlfriend and that's final," Asami corrected him with a firm, stern tone as Korra hugged her tightly resting her head on Asami's shoulder giving Brasa a death glare.

"That's never been a problem in the past," he retorted eyeing Asami, and giving Korra a look that told her she was disposable and this was only the beginning of the fight.

"It is different because I am in love with Korra. I love her with everything I have," she shot back, knowing her words stung like daggers. Though Asami had expressed she cared for Brasa and liked im, even prefered him over her other partners in the past, she had never used the the "l word" when it came to him.

"I am sure it's just a phase. I am sure just like with everyone else, you'll lose interest and the feeling will fade," he replied coldly the hurt was oozing in from his words as he tried his best to hurt Asami in kind. Who did she think she was talking too? He was royalty, he always got what he wanted in the end and he was determined this would be no different.

"Leave, now," Asami said her tone was angry, Brasa nor Korra had ever seen this side of the normally easy going Asami.

From the doorway Mako watched, he had seen Asami show anger and a bit of hostility toward him when she had discovered he had been seeing Korra behind her back, but this was something entirely different. He felt very uncomfortable as he waited for Prince Brasa to finish his intrusion, he would rather be anywhere than here.

This was beyond awkward for him, not only had he brought Asami's rude ex here but he had to visibly see that Brasa had interrupted them in the middle of something very intimate. It was a sight he could have gone without seeing it, it only reminded him how far out of reach Korra was, and how much he still yearned for her.

"Fine. But this conversation isn't over," Brasa responded eyeing Korra with disdain as he compromised with Asami.

"Next time, perhaps a call first would be appreciated," Asami offered as Brasa angrily retreated with Mako in tow. Brasa mumbled something under his breath as Mako softly closed the door and they vanished.

Korra turned to Asami and spoke: "That was so sexy..."

"What part of that was sexy?" Asami asked embarrassed at the way Brasa brought up her past.

"You admitting we are dating and the way you stood your ground," Korra said with a wanton tone as she planted passionate kiss on Asami lips backing her up to the sofa where the two came crashing down, picking up where they had left off.

"Well if I knew I'd known I would get this kind of reaction I would have said it sooner and more often," Asami replied with a giggle.

It was well into the afternoon by the time Korra and Asami finished what had been rudely interrupted by their unwanted guest. As Asami slid on her robe walked to the wind to observe the rainstorm had turned into an all out monsoon mixed with heavy thunder and lightning, Korra collected her clothes.

"I guess we won't be heading to Air Temple Island to get my stuff anytime soon?" Korra asked as thunder boomed and she saw a rather close flash of lightning through the pouring rain.

Asami shook her head no as she drew the curtain back once again and sat down next Korra.

"I think I still have an old tee shirt of Mako's in the upstairs guest bedroom along with a pair of his shorts for when he was using the gym up there. If you want, you can wear those and I will wash your clothes," Asami offered feeling guilty Korra had nothing to wear but thinking to herself while Korra's clothes were washing she could thing of plenty of things they could do to occupy their time while she didn't have any clothes.

Korra agreed and Asami lead her to the guest bedroom realizing Korra had never explored the apartment they now shared. The upstairs consisted of Asami's home gym a guest bedroom and a bathroom. Downstairs was the living room, kitchen/dining room, Asami's room with a master bathroom, her office, another guest bedroom, a bathroom, and a laundry room.

Korra opened the dresser drawer and found an old Fire Ferrets shirt and a pair of sweatpants that looked like they would fit. She gratefully snatched them up.

"Can I use the shower up here?" Korra asked wanting to clean herself up and put on the soft inviting clothes.

"Of course, it's your place too. I am going to go shower downstairs and then I will put your clothes in the wash," Asami replied reminding Korra that she now lived here too, so she was free to use anything in the apartment, not that she wasn't before.

Korra headed across the hall to the bathroom into the large walk in shower. It was a huge shower that could easily accommodate more than two people. She slid the glass door closed behind her and adjusted the knobs so hot water poured from the waterfall shower head. The hot felt good on her tired body. She let the cascading water consume her body as steam quickly filled the shower.

This afternoon hadn't gone how she expected it to. Korra hadn't expected the prince to drop in on Asami so soon after arriving in Republic City, but as cringy as the encounter was it went better than she had expected it to. She now knew exactly who and what she was dealing with. The immediate gut feeling of dislike and displeasure she had last night upon meeting him held true today.

Korra scrubbed her body trying to get the dirty feeling Brasa gave her off her skin. She really despised him. It also broke her heart the way he spoke to Asami, especially knowing that she had once cared for him deeply and had envisioned their life together. She shook her head as the water whisked the soap away wishing it would take her troubling thoughts with her.

It seemed that every time she grew closer to Asami, something was threatening to pull them apart. Korra shook the thought from her head knowing that it may seem like the world was trying to pull them apart, but she knew neither of them would let it happen. She and Asami were together forever and always. They weren't going to give up on each other. Ever.

The shower helped the young water tribe woman clear her mind. As she dried herself, Korra knew one thing for certain she was happy with Asami and though she was nervous she couldn't wait to embark on this journey of life with her. She honestly felt like the luckiest person alive to be the object of Asami's love, and for her part Korra loved Asami with all of her, to the fullest capacity she was capable of loving someone.

Meanwhile

Asami headed downstairs feeling confident Korra was settling in, getting comfortable in what was now their apartment. It felt so right thinking of it as their place instead of just her's. Since she had moved into the apartment Asami had felt something was missing, and now she felt Korra filled that void. It was as if she was the missing piece to Asami's puzzle.

As she walked into the living room Asami heard knock on the door. She called out to the person on her doorstep promising she'd be there in a minute. Asami quickly picked up her robe from the living room floor and tied it tight over her silk teddy and made a beeline for the door not wanting the guest to stand in the torrential downpour any longer than necessary.

She opened the door to see a soaked Kya on her doorstep, it was one of the last people Asami had ever expected to turn up, but with the day she was having it wasn't a far stretch that the elder waterbender would show up.

"Hi Kya," Asami said warmly opening the door for her friend to come in, the surprise of of Kya was welcome unlike her earlier surprise.

"Hello. I am just dropping in at Tenzin's request. I came from the island and the crossing isn't very safe right now. He wanted me to stop by and make sure Korra doesn't attempt. You know how she can get when she gets an idea in her mind," Kya explained warmly.

"No she's accepted the fact she has to stay. Korra is upstairs in the shower, if you want to wait and talk to her," Asami offered.

"That's okay I am needed at the hospital. With the weather, the power has been going in and out and some of the healers and doctors couldn't make it in," Kya replied with genuine kindness.

Asami was always amazed by the kindness shown by Katara and Kya knowing they had influenced Korra so much she could see where the avatar got it from. Korra had the same genuine concern for others, she was always attentive to others and kindness was always her first reaction.

"If you need a place to stay tonight, we have spare rooms," Asami offered not realizing she had used we and instead of I, possibly letting it slip that Korra had agreed to move in before the avatar was ready to disclose the information.

"Thank you for the offer, but I have a place to stay when I make the trip to the mainland, but should a problem arise I will keep that in mind" Kya replied warmly both reminding Asami of their conversation on the ferry about how she had come to Republic City proper for someone she loved and choosing to ignore the use of the word we the her facial expression when Asami had said the word clearly had registered it.

Asami truly appreciated Kya, she wasn't like Tenzin who would have pried and attempt to get to the bottom of the use of the word. She already knew once Korra told him she was moving in with her, there would be a disagreement. Tenzin was nothing like his sister when it came to following his heart and his emotion. He thrived on structure and rules. Tenzin cared too much about what the world around him thought and not about what made him happy.

Lucky for Asami, Korra was influenced by Kya and followed her heart. She knew the avatar did not care what others thought about her in terms of her personal life, it seemed all that mattered to Korra is what Asami thought and she loved the water tribe woman deeply for it. It made the young CEO feel incredibly guilty for trying to keep her relationship with Korra a secret for so long because of how people would perceive her.

If Korra was willing to suffer any hate for it, shouldn't she be willing to accept any backlash that with it also? After all, in the end having Korra was all that mattered to Asami. She already had enough money where she didn't need to work for at least five generations. If Korra was willing to face ruin, Asami decided she was too. Kya thanked Asami and left heading toward the hospital where she was needed.

Asami closed the door as Kya vanished, and headed to her own bathroom. Once inside her bathroom she stripped down and stepped into the shower allowing it's warm water to envelope her. The water felt great, as wave after wave crashed over she felt her troubles melt away. Her anger toward Brasa was washed from the forefront of her mind and better thoughts were drawn forward as the water soothed her.

Soon all that was on her mind was Korra and their future together. As she washed away the last of the soap and shampoo from body Asami could honestly say her mood was much improved. She felt content, happy even. She was ecstatic to start this chapter of her life with Korra beside her.

Done showering she turned off the water and stepped out wrapping a fluffy towel around herself. She quickly dressed in a pair of sweatpants and tank top with button up flannel shirt overtop.

Asami didn't bother dressing up or putting makeup on, she and Korra weren't going anywhere in this weather, and Asami knew Korra loved the way she looked when she didn't wear makeup. Never before had Asami felt so confident or loved in relationship to the point where she would forgo makeup, only Korra could make her feel confident and special enough to go without it.

Makeup had always given Asami the confidence she otherwise lacked, and the ability to love herself something she never learned learned as disappointment to Hiroshi who wished his only child were a son. She walked out of room and gathered Korra's clothes taking them in a tossing them into the wash. When she reappeared in the living room she found Korra curled up on the sofa.

Asami took in the sight, Korra's tone muscular biceps popped against the red shirt that hung on her loosley, that is everywhere except across her chest. The shirt only emphasized the avatar's deceptively large breasts. She also couldn't help but notice how Mako's sweatpants hung loosely on her slender hips, yet somehow seemed to compliment her muscular, powerful legs and thighs.

Was there nothing Korra didn't look sexy in?- was all Asami could think as she took a seat beside Korra on the couch, sliding into her body as she cuddled with blue eyed beauty.

Instinctively, Korra wrapped an arm around Asami, pulling her closer, it was obvious the caramel skinned woman was craving the closeness, the touch, the body heat of the young CEO.

"Do you want to watch Bolin's Nuktuk mover? Varrick lent the film and I have a projector we can bring in here to display it on the wall..." Asami offered secretly wanting to see this mover, knowing that if it was a collaboration of Varrick and Bolin's minds it was going to be pure gold, and there was no way they were going to be able to take it seriously.

"Most definitely," Korra replied with an excited grin thinking the same thing Asami knowing that this was going to be a treat.

"Great. I'll go get everything ready. Are you hungry? I can cook us something first?" Asami inquired, her instincts to take care of Korra were already kicking into overdrive.

"I am fine, we can eat after. I will go grab us some blankets and pillows," was Korra's response as she headed into what was now their bedroom.

When Asami returned to setup the projector she saw that Korra had created a bed out of blankets and pillows for them on the floor up against the sofa. A smile came across her lips at the thoughtful gesture on Korra's part, Asami wasn't use to being with someone who had the same desire to take care of her the way she took care of them.

It was refreshing and it made her feel loved. Truly loved, the last person that made her feel loved and wanted like this, like she was someone who mattered was her mother. Of course, Korra's gesture also made her feel loved in a different way, but again no one had ever came close to making her feel that way before.

Once the projector was hooked up and the film reel started Asami sat down next to Korra as the avatar covered them in a large blanket, the pillows were propped up against the back of the sofa as padding for the back as they snuggled into one another as the mover started. Right from the beginning the two were laughing at Bolin's over the top acting and Varrick's ludicrous story.

Korra found it comical how he had taken the situation between the two water tribes and created such an outlandish story. She laughed so hard she cried at the portrayal of Unalaq. Neither she nor or Asami could take Bolin seriously through the course of the movie, they were happy he had found success with the mover, but they just couldn't get over his outlandish behavior.

Neither Korra or Asami would ever tell Bolin that they couldn't take him seriously as Nuktuk, it would crush him. Bolin had been so proud of that role, but to the pair of lovers it was comedic role not the serious hero Bolin was supposed to be portraying.
